chapter 9 Raw deal: stressing.
It's a lovely clear sunny day in a lush semi-forest area. We zoom down on the family vehicle, vanzilla, driving on the road. We zoom in to see Rey looking cramped in the front row seats, sitting with Lola, Lana, and Lily. Rey is sitting between Lana and Lily, behind them. And in the way back seats, we see Leni, Luan, Luna, and LJ in the middle seats. We see Lori, Lucy, Lincoln, and Lisa.
"Dad are we there yet?" Lana asked eagerly.
"Not yet kiddo a few more hours." Lynn Sr answers.
"Oh okay." Lana says but right she's about to say anything Ray stops her by covering her mouth.
"Don't even think about asking that question again, Lana." He says in a stern tone.
"Today we're going to Grand venture State Park and it's going to be awesome we're going to hike fish check out the caves."
"And I can't wait to see Pop Pop." Leni interrupted Lincoln and everyone minus Rey looked at her with confuse looks.
"The guide book said there is an old geezer at the park." Leni informed.
"Geyser not geezer see here it is." Lincoln corrected her by showing her his pamphlet of the image of the geyser.
"I hope we get to see it blow it'll be rocking!" Luna said with excitement.
"I wouldn't hold my breath it has been inactive for ages." Lisa informed.
"So it is like pop pop?"
"Now are we there yet?" Lana asked again.
"Lana stop asking." Both Rey and Lynn Sr said in perfect unison.
"Hops is asking not to me." Lana Informed that she holds her frog.
"This seat belt is wrinkling my dress!" Lola complains as she tries to get the seat belt off her dress.
"Why don't you play some car games." Rita suggested.
"How about football? I'll be the QB. Hike!" Lynn Jr explained that she threw the football in the car Rey immediately caught it he stared at Lynn Jr very sternly which frightened her.
"How about something else dangerous LJ!" Rey stated dangerously as he threw the football back at her which she caught.
"I have a new deck of fortune-telling cards I can give everyone readings." Lucy says as she shuffles her deck.
This got everyone in the van's attention minus Rey due to having prior knowledge what's going to happen today.
Everyone was gathering around her to ask her to pick them to be her first reader.
"It's madam Lucy." Lucy stated as she shuffled her cards again.
'Fortune telling my how interesting!' Kaori says excitingly.
'Well this should be quite an interesting expectation in the past time.' Ryūsei says in it with an intrigue tone.
'I wonder what fortunes these kids will get?' Edgar said curiously.
Lucy pulled out a card and set it on her seat the card was a ship on the sea above it a sun with a face.
"Lori you will go on a long trip."
"Ooh, maybe Bobby is taking me to Italy. He is working at that pizza place." Lori says in a hopeful and dreamy tone. Lucy pulls on another card and is revealed to be a gate that leads to Planets and Stars.
"Lola the universe will open doors for you."
"Tell me something I Don't know." Lola says in a sarcastic and arrogant tone Lucy pulled out another card on it shows a night and a horse that depicts them being blown away.
"Luan you will soon be blown away."
"How fortunate!" Luan says in a joking manner then begins to laugh.
Everyone let out an annoyed groan as they looked at Luan with annoyed expressions. As she laughed at her own joke, their father began to laugh with her.
"Good one." Lynn Sr complimented as LJ throws a football at her to cease her laughing.
"Ow!" Luan says as she holds her arm but the mixture of pain and joy on her face.
"Poppycock could these predictions be any more non-specific?" Lisa asked in a skeptical sarcastic tone as she resumed to look at a book she was reading. Lucy responded immediately as she pulled out a card with a white-bearded wizard with glasses staring into a crystal ball.
"Lisa, you'll make an amazing scientific discovery before entering the park today. Is that specific enough for you?"
"Specific yes plausible no." Lisa answers.
"As a woman of science, I cannot take any of this seriously." Lisa stated as she resumed reading her book.
"Well the cards don't lie." Lucy says she shuffles her deck.
"Last but not least, Lincoln." Lucy says, Lincoln is unable to contain his excitement. What Lucy will draw is Lisa turns to look at her brother and sister, just rolling her eyes.
Upon drawing her brother's card she let out a gasp of horror.
"What does it say?" Lincoln asked as Lucy put away her cards.
"So, um...who wants to play football?" Lucy asked as she smiles widely.
"Lucy, come on, tell me!" Lincoln demanded as he grabbed Lucy's dress collar and shook her.
"Fine." Lucy reluctantly says, having Lincoln let go of the collar of her dress. She grabs the card she put away with her Deck.
"Your day at the park will end in tragedy." She answers as she shows him his card, which has a grim reaper on it in the background, and dramatic music can be heard.
"Oh, a radio station of music stings! Neato burrito!" Lynn senior said with excitement as the song continued playing on the radio.
'Oh boy looks like I'm going to be spending some time with Lincoln and to prevent him from going paranoid over Lucy's predictions, which reminds me.' Ray said in his thoughts as he turned around to Lucy in the back middle seat.
"Hey Lucy, can you tell me what my fortune is?"
"Sure." Lucy says as she shuffles her deck upon drawing the deck she lets out a silent gasp.
"Oh boy." Lucy says concerningly.
"What fortune did I get Lucy?" Rey asked curiously.
"Are you sure you want to know? You might freak out like Lincoln."
"I'm sure. Please tell me, Lucy." He said politely.
"Rey, there's danger coming to you today at the park." Lucy said as she showed him his card, which shows a burning tower.
"Danger, huh? Oh well, nothing I can do about it now, as usual, I'll just let the chaos come to me, like always." He said as he sat back down with a very carefree tone. This carefree tone didn't sit well with Lincoln.
"Come on, Rey, how can you be so calm about this? There's danger coming for you. Why aren't you so worried about it?!" Lincoln, in a panicked tone, is questioning why Rey is so calm while Lucy gave me a prediction that is potentially just as bad as his.
"Lincoln long before I met any of y'all I was in constant danger 24/7. Overtime I came to realize that danger will always be everywhere. You cannot worry about when or what ifs. We just got to live in the moment which reminds me."
"Mr and Mrs Loud, I know, I know, I already asked this question, but I want to know. Are y'all sure you want me here?" Rey asked a few days ago. Rita and Lynn had news for him. They announced that he was going with them to Grand Venture State Park. Obviously surprised by this announcement, he protested against it, telling them that this was a family-only trip for them. He's a guest; he doesn't feel that he should be included or intrude in their family moments, but they insisted that he should come.
"Again, Rey, we are certain, and we also talk to Claire about our trip and she says it is a good idea for you to come along. If you're not sure, well, you can see this trip as a reward for your help around the house which, by the way, we really appreciate." Rita says in a grateful tone.
"Yeah, you've been a great help in the kitchen. Rey, from you setting the table, to your helping me in the kitchen. Which by the way, all the dishes you've prepared are some of the best I've ever tasted. Although some of them are spicier than others, but they're still good." Lynn Sr complimented.
'Come on, Boss! Take the invitation and relax a little. Also, I don't like pointing out things like you do, but you kind of need it. You've been really restless ever since Lori was kidnapped. Heck, none of us have seen you this restless since our times in the Hisui region.' Onibi stated, despite his calm and going-with-the-flow demeanor not showing too much worry, seeing how his trainer has been acting, he couldn't help but worry.
'I am inclined to agree with Onibi-san. You haven't slept well at all; you spent nearly all the way till 2:00 a.m. on guard duty, which isn't healthy for you.' Ryūsie added sharing the same concern as Onibi, who has been concerned with his trainers' well-being.
'They have a valid point, Master. I also like to add that you should also check on everyone during their sleep. I know you're worried about them, but I think it would be beneficial for you to come to this national park with the Loud family.' Meni says she too cannot help but agree with fellow Pokemon and she believes this trip could be beneficial for the trainer in many ways.
'I agree too. This small trip might be beneficial for Rey's physical and mental health as well as I have been concerned about his paranoiac behavior myself.' Kaori says agreeing.
'Agree on that sis.' Edgar chimed in.
'Normally I like a good fight like anyone else, boss, sometimes even I need a break from a fight.' Kestrel stated, hearing the opinions of his Pokemon. He let what they said sink in, then wasn't even thinking of a thing for brief moments. He let out an annoyed sigh.
'All right, you guys win. I'll try to enjoy this trip.' He says in a reluctant tone. He then takes out his phone and earbuds, which play on his ears, and hits shuffle on his phone as he begins to listen to a random song.
We find ourselves in the cavern lair of N.V. a portal opens up like always out of it comes N.V himself stretching as he exited is portal.
"Ugh, what a headache. Who would have guessed finding recruits and brainwashing pawns would be this difficult, and not to mention, spying on that little girl queen and her maid was boring." He says in a frustrated tone as he marches towards his throne, then leads back, letting out a sigh of relief.
"On the bright side, I have at least finish my recruitment for pawns now." He says proudly.
"Now let's see what my adversary and the family are up to." N.V says as he brings out a tablet he tapped on the screen then taps on an icon that shows video feeds of the house when it starts up he notices that the living room is empty curious to switch to the kitchen upstairs everyone's rooms seem to be empty.
"Huh that's weird. It would seem that the Louds and my adversary aren't in the house this time. Wonder where they'd go?" N.V questions as he exits the video feed of the house. Then he eyes an app on the tablet that reads "Second Surveillance."
"Let's see what's going on through the second spy drone." N.V taps on the icon, and through the lenses of the second spy drone, everyone in vanzilla is broadcasting a video feed.
"Looks like my instincts were right again here's a question though where on Earth are these people going?" N.V asked then immediately noticed that the driver when senior had stopped driving.
Back with the Louds
The van had arrived at a gas station named Ed's gas and snack.
"Okay kids, ten minutes for bathroom and snacks. If you missed the cut-off, I can't promise I'll still be here." As Lynn Sr is explaining, everyone, minus Lincoln, had exited the van, including the small fly. The fly drone just focused on following Rey.
Glancing over where Lisa and Lincoln are Rey simply rolled his eyes and headed inside the facility to buy things for himself right as he's about to enter he heard Lori screaming as he noticed that she slide it into a pile of garbage.
'And that was Lori's prediction coming true.' He says as he enters the establishment once inside said establishment he wasted no time to grab what he needed.
The items he grabbed were two bottles of water, three packs of gum, a small bottle of hand sanitizer, and one bag of honey-roasted peanuts. His objective done, he heads to the counter to pay for them. In front of him is a fairly tall, handsome shirtless blonde man with a single purple vest and a stash that reads "Mr. Universe" on it.
The man in front of Rey finished paying for his items and headed for the door. Then Rey presented his items to purchase to the cashier. While the cashier was putting the items in a bag, Rey took the time to take out his wallet, text the right amount of money, and pay the man.
"Thank you." Rey thank the cashier as Rey about to leave he sees the man that was in front of him held the door open and coming in through the door were the Loud siblings minus Luan.
"Oh thank you Mr universe." Lola stop to thank the man politely and head inside.
"In 3.2.1." Right on cue Lola went back to the door and open it in shock.
"Ah! The universe open doors for me!" Lola exclaimed as her siblings showed up at the door and gasp and shock.
"And that's number three." Lucy says as the other siblings head in to the establishment leaving behind Lincoln Lucy Lisa and join them is Rey at the door looking at them with a neutral look.
"Lisa!" Lincoln exclaimed at Lisa.
"Eh, pure happenstance." Lisa says in a unconvinced tone.
"I'm not too sure, Lisa. This is starting to get a little unusual." Rey says cautiously, then during his attention to Lisa.
"As my younger brother once said, if something happens more than once, it is no longer a coincidence." Rey says as he heads out of the store and walks to the van every time he noticed Lincoln trembling in fear and let out a heavy sigh.
"It was going to be a very long day once we get to Grand Venture State Park."
Back with N.V
N.V cackles humorously and what he just heard his adversary says.
"Thank you, little Rider. Now I know exactly where you're heading." He says as he ceases his cackling while putting his tablet aside.
"Oh I'm going to have fun ruining his day and peace. It feels like it's been forever since I had a to mess with him. Who should I send this time? One of my brainwashed pawns or trick some sucker decisions? Decisions, decisions..." N.V ponders what to do. He presented himself with many options to mess with his adversary.
"You know what, forget the options I gave myself. I feel like changing things up a little bit this time. I know what to do. I'm going to use one of my contacts that I met during my time in this world. I know who to send just for the fun of it." N.V says eagerly as he conjures up a portal on top of the ceiling of his lair. Out of the portal comes a chameleon-themed fangre, landing flat on its face.
The chameleon fangre let out a growl as he picked himself up and dusted himself.
"That hurts," the chameleon fangre says as he transforms into his human form in his form he appears to be a young burnett man wearing a white shirt and a shirt vest and jeans wearing simple sneakers. He gets his bearings back and begins to look around his surroundings. He is unfamiliar with where he is. All he can tell is that he is in a cavern.
"Huh I wonder where on Earth am I?" The chameleon asked himself.
"Hello, Rufus my friend." The chameleon fangre named Rufus, born with a neutral but annoyed look on his face, slowly turned around and faced the direction from which the voice came. He saw V.N waiting for him in a childlike manner.
"You've been doing well? I hope I didn't take you away from anything important." N.V says and they got off from his throne and walk towards him in a welcoming manner Rufus merely scoffs.
"N.V since when have we been friends? My only friend is Olivia Wright."
"Oh sure you and Olivia are truly the best of friends in the whole world. I can see it now. You two have gotten together and gossip like school girls." N.V says in a dramatic sarcastic tone before turning around, looking at Rufus, his eyes beginning to glow menacingly underneath his shrouded hood.
"Don't come crying to me when that psycho bitch decides to backstab you while trying to eat you." He says venomously.
"You think little of Olivia, don't you? I'll have you know that we have a tight bond; she will never backstab me. I guarantee it." Rufus exclaims confidently and proudly as he walks behind him, summoning a sword.
"Yeah yeah keep telling yourself that don't say I didn't warn you also." As N.V snapped his fingers, a collar and chain appeared around Rufus's neck. While the chain appeared in N.V's hand, he began to conjure electricity on to the chain, then he channeled that surge electricity to Rufus's collar. He then let out a loud scream as the electricity surrounded his body through the chain.
"Don't bite the hand that feeds you if it wasn't for me, you would have died on the night of the Queen's coronation along with your associates after your foolhardy attempt to kill the Rook and your associates attempt on the Queen. So know your place!" He said menacingly as he tightened his hand on the chain, and the electricity intensified calling him too fall to the ground and drop his weapon.
"I haven't forgotten... Lord N.V... promise I won't try to pull a fast one... to kill you I PROMISE!" Rufus shouted in a pleading manner.
"Okay, I'll take your word for it, Rufus." N.V says in a happy childlike tone. As he snaps his fingers in an instant, the chain and collar around Rufus' neck disappear. N.V walks towards Rufus and offers him his hand to help him stand up, but Rufus swipes N.V's hand away as he struggles to get up.
"How rude of you." N.V says he felt genuinely hurts when he offered his hand to Rufus.
"You try to kill me you psycho!" Rufus snarled.
"Oh please if I wanting you dead I would have killed you quickly." N.V informed as he pulls out a file from his cloak and presents it to Rufus.
"Let's get down to business. I need you here because I need a pest dealt with, and I see no one better than you to do it."
"Flattering me, will not make up for the electro treatment you gave me." Rufus swipes the file from N.V hand rudely and opens it. He begins skimming through the file to know who N.V wants to dealt with. He lets out a soft sigh and closes the file.
"Before I could agree to anything what do I get if I killed this Rey kid?" Rufus ask.
"I was wondering when you were going to ask, if you are able to kill my little pest. You can go after a girl he is strangely close to, he has an unusual friendship with her, and she fits the type you mostly go after." N.V stated this got Rufus interested.
"Interesting what can you tell me about this girl?" He asked curiously.
"Well, she's talented in fashion. She's kind, but dumb, but pretty. Here's a picture of her." He says, presenting a picture of Leni.
"Well, you're not wrong; she does look pretty. All right, you got yourself a deal." Rufus says. N.V says nothing only to snap his fingers then the portal reappeared behind Rufus.
"My pest is traveling with a family of 13. They are heading towards Grand Venture State Park. This portal will take you there, but be warned. My portals don't have the best accuracy. They will get you to the park, but probably at a different location." N.V informed.
"Well, I don't mind. It's more fun to hunt your prey." Rufus says menacingly as he transforms back into his fangre form and hands his associate the file he gave him, which N.V takes.
"I appreciate the warning, I have enough details memorized from the file you gave me with my camouflage ability; he won't see me coming." He says confidentlyas he about to walk into the portal, N.V stops him.
"I almost forgot. Please try not to say too much about my past when you meet him. I don't want him to know that he's being watched. And be also courteous about saying his title."
"Very well, I'll humor your request, but it won't change the outcome; he'll be dead before he even knows it." Rufus says as he steps into the portal and disappears. N.V stands there, where the portal was, and releases a heavy, annoyed sigh. He heads back to his throne.
"That's scaly glass dumbass has no idea who he's dealing with. A part of me wanted to warn him about Rey's power and abilities, but his arrogant cocky attitude really annoyed me." N.V speaks in a frustrated tone as he takes a seat at his throne and releases another heavy sigh.
"I swear overly confident arrogant fangre pricks like him are easily killed when they underestimate their opponents personally. I don't think he is going to survive against Rey, but I'll cut him some slack. Call him back when he's about to be killed." N.V says in a generous tone then he picks up his tablet.
"I'll set in a special alarm to one of my spy drones to warn me when he's about to be killed." N.V says as he goes to one of the setting for the spy drone that's spying on his adversary after give me quick work of the settings he went to an app that had organized the previous video fees of the house.
"All right with that away it is time to see what I have missed during my absence."
Back with the Loud family we see Lincoln looking fearful. He is wearing a helmet, a gas mask, and football equipment. He is breathing very nervously and heavily. Lisa looks at him with a mixture of annoyance and concern. Meanwhile, we see Ray removing his earbuds, looking regretful.
'Okay, I'm beginning to regret adding "red fraction" into my playlist and I'm also beginning to regret ever introducing this song to the two of you.' Rey said in a regretful tone within his thoughts..
To explain what happened, everyone finished up their business at the gas station and it was time to go. Rey had decided to listen to more of his music until they got to the state park. The songs he was playing were all mixed with his Pokemon. Then, the next song that landed was "Red Fraction Kestrel and Meni immediately began to sing along. They sang it five times, despite how amazing it sounded, they quickly got on their nerves.
'Apologies, master. Whenever I listen to Red fracture, for some reason, I feel a sense of peace and relief.' Meni says in a euphoric tone.
'While I just like the song because it sounds awesome! Listening and singing to it really get my blood boiling in a way that makes me want to fight harder and prove to whoever messes with me that I am hardcore!' Kestrel exclaimed Rey and his other Pokemon just let out a long exhausted sigh.
'Well, regardless, I'm glad that the two of you have something in common now. If you excuse me, I have to see how Lincoln is doing.' Rey says to himself. Then, he focuses his attention on the conversation between Lincoln and Lisa.
"I'm just being sensible, Lucy says my day would end in tragedy, and all her other predictions have come true." Lincoln stated.
"Not mine I haven't made any scientific discoveries yet." Lisa says as she resumes reading her book.
"Don't forget about me mine hasn't either too Lincoln." Rey informed he glances over and sees the look on his face the look of realization.
"Wait a minute that true." Lincoln says smiling hopefully suddenly the van has stopped moving and the sound of the van doors opening.
"All right kiddos welcome to Grand Venture State Park." Lynn Sr says as everyone is getting out of the van
"Oh, man. We're finally here. Being cramped really stiffens your body." Rey says as he does some stretches too, losing himself up, then he notices Lincoln hastily heads to the entrance of the park.
"Let's go, people! Move it, move it!" Lincoln ordered all his sisters, plus Rey, to hurry to the entrance. When all his sisters and Rey showed up with annoyed looks, he immediately started pushing them into the entrance.
"Lincoln why are you pushing us!?" Lola asked demanding.
"Yeah what's the rush we literally the only people here." Lori stated pointing out the lack of visitors that are in the park minus them.
"If we can get in the park before Lisa's and Rey's predictions comes true that means Lucy's predictions are bogus and I'm home free." Lincoln said as his siblings and Rey made it into the park.
"YES!" Lincoln shouted victoriously.
"We made it!" Lincoln exclaimed as he remove his helmet throwing it to the ground.
"Science one medieval Hocus pocus zero!" Following that he removed his gear and started doing some moves from his victory dance.
Rey closed his eyes and cringed ever since the yard sale incident. He couldn't stand any of the Loud family's victory dances. He was still trying to forget about it, even his Pokemon.
"Right Lis." Lincoln asked Lisa rhetorically but then quickly noticed she wasn't here with them then he spots her just barely coming out of the van.
"Lisa hurry up get in here!" Lincoln ordered Lisa to get to the entrance demandingly.
"Sorry I had to finish that chapter." Lisa said as she entered the park suddenly a large crack appeared. She observed the egg closely as pieces of the egg fell apart. She let out a loud surprise gasp as her glasses flew off her face and she spat canonically. Then she quickly caught them and put them back on her face.
"Sweet mother of scientific discoveries, it's an owl with deer antlers!" Lisa exclaims from her perspective we see a little brown owl with deer antlers.
Lincoln scream in terror that yet again another Lucy's predictions came true once again he then ceases his screaming then becomes dizzy.
'The antlers on that little owl's head are fake, aren't they?' All the Pokemon asking in perfect unison.
"Yep it sure is." Rey answers.
'Sir, do you think it's wise that you should inform her that her supposed discovery is a fraud?' Ryūsei asked.
'Nah, she'll figure it out.' Rey's answers neutrally in his thoughts.
"Lucy I can see that your psychic predictions are uncannily accurate and now I'm off to show this fascinating creature to the park ranger." Lisa says as she walks through the entrance of the park while holding the owl but before she had off further she turned around to wave at her brother.
"See you later, Lincoln. Well, maybe not. Same goes for you, Rey." Lisa said in an indifferent tone I see heads for the park rangers cabin. Lincoln grabbed his cowlick and tugged on it in fear. While Rey rolled his eyes in annoyance, some of the Pokemon just growled in annoyance.
Suddenly, their thoughts of annoyance fear and anger were interrupted when they heard the same dramatic music on the radio. They both glanced over to see where the dramatic music was coming from. It turned out to be Lynn Sr's phone, as he walked through the entrance.
"Yes I can get The Sting music station on my phone." Lynn Sr said excitedly.
"How fortunate for you, Mr. Loud." Rey said in a unimpressed tone, then he directed his attention to Lincoln, seeing that he was shivering like a leaf.
"Come on Lincoln let's catch up with the others." Rey says heads towards the others and Lincoln hesitantly follows.
Not too far from the park rangers cabin, we spot a hidden Rufus who is still in his fangre form. He is covered in some leaves and dirt, and he stares onward as he focuses his attention on Rey and Lincoln who are catching up with the others.
"N.V wasn't joking about those portals, and unfortunately, I had the unsatisfying pleasure of falling on my face again." Rufus stated as he dusted himself off of dirt and leaves.
"But still I am glad that those portals got me close to my target; I could attack right now, but I do not wish to have any witnesses, and too bad none of them are my type and are not marked to be hunted, well except for one." Rufus says as he directs his attention to Leni who is seen talking Rey to Rey.
"But I don't mind playing the waiting game. Once I see my target out of sight, I'll swoop in and eliminate. Let's commence the hunt." He says menacingly as he turns invisible.
We see Rey along with the entire family arrived at the first destination in the park called grand stalactite caverns.
"All right gang, first stop is the grand stalactite caverns." Lynn Sr stated, holding the brochure.
"Ooh if it's dark I'm in." Lucy says excitingly.
"Ooh if it's dark I'm out." Lincoln says in a similar tone to Lucy, only his tone sounded more of a frightened one as he clings onto the sign that leads to the cavern.
"Lincoln, you've been looking forward to this trip for months. Don't you want to check out the caverns?!" Rita asked while Lynn's Sr put down the park brochure and Lily, who was strapped to Rita's back by Rey's baby carrier, looked at her brother confusedly.
"And get impaled by a stalactite." Lincoln replied back as Rita adjusted the baby carrier.
"Are you really going to let a silly prediction ruin your fun?"
"Yes, I am. I'm going to stay right here. It's nice and safe." Lincoln answers his mother's question as both of his parents and Lily headed inside the caverns, along with his other sisters, leaving him and Rey outside.
"Don't worry Mrs Loud I'll watch over him. Y'all have fun in there!" Rey hollered as he took out a manga from his jacket and took a seat next to Lincoln, who was still holding on to the sign for dear life.
"Your mother's right; you really should not let Lucy's predictions ruin your fun." Rey says as he opens his Manga.
Some moments have passed. We see Lincoln no longer holding on to the sign for dear life. He only sits behind it. While Rey hasn't moved from his spot, he continues to read. Lincoln could hear Rey whispering names. Curious, he looks back. He sees that Rey is listing the names of girls and what it seems to be a school roster.
"Konoe Kono-"
"Hey Rey, what are you reading?" Lincoln interrupted him. Rey took a moment to think about whether he should answer or just put it away. He thought for a moment and came to the answer. That is answering his question.
"Oh I'm just rereading a manga called Negima. It's about a kid named Negi Springfield who just graduated from a magic academy and has a magic diploma that tells him where to go. It told him to go to Japan as an English teacher at a prestigious school called Mahora academy. I'm currently on the page where Negi is given his roster with his students. I'm currently on student number 13, Konoe Konoka." Rey said as he shows Lincoln the two pages that list the students and pointed to Konoka.
Before Lincoln could comment anything a loud bat screech could be her within the cavern.
"AAhhh! killer bats!" Lincoln quickly got up in a panic and start waving his arms around defensively while Rey just stayed seated and remain calm then out of the caver came out three butterflies.
"False alarm Lincoln they're just butterflies." Rey informed which helped ease Lincoln's panic as a butterfly landed on his nose.
"Oh, that's a relief." Lincoln says as he releases a sigh of relief, but Rey is well aware what's going to happen next. Rey knows this moment common peaceful moment isn't going to last, so he decides to change it by taking out his phone to take a picture of what's in front of him as a distraction.
"Before you say or do anything, Lincoln, can you do me a solid and hold still for a moment. I want to take a picture of you with a butterfly. This is the first time I've ever seen a butterfly on someone's nose, so please can you do that?" Rey asked as Lincoln gave him a thumbs up to take a picture.
Next, we see the Loud family relaxing at Grand Sparkling Lake, doing their own thing, while we see Lincoln relaxing underneath a tree, reading volume 1 of the manga he showed Lori.
'Hey boss, are you sure you should be letting Lincoln do his own thing this time? I can feel he's a bit panicky again.' Onibi stated and true to his words not too far away from them we see Lincoln with several floaties and a life jacket at the docks of the lake.
'I'm sure he's surrounded by his family this time. So they're not really much I could do about this time. But if he starts panicking and running for his life, then I'm on full guardian mode. So for now, let's just enjoy and relax for this moment.' Rey a neutral but relaxed tone.
Next location.
We see Lynn Sr holding up the grand venture guide then he fold the guide as he is about to explain.
"Presenting Grand Vista Gorge, the most beautiful view of the North Rio Grande." Lynn Sr says, how's everyone stands on a cliff in front of a mountain surrounded by a small number of trees, bushes, and a river stream next to a waterfall it is a beautiful sight to behold.
The Loud sisters appear to have mixed looks upon seeing the gorge. Some of them seem to be impressed, while others were mixed.
"Beautiful? Don't you mean Gorgeous Haha." Luan laughed at her own pun.
"Has anyone seen your brother or Rey?" Rita asked.
"Don't worry, Mrs. Loud. I got him." Rita turned the direction where Rey's voice was coming from. They looked like to see that he had just reached the top, where they were, along with Lincoln, who was around his arms who.
"All right Lincoln, you can open your eyes now." He said, as he's letting Lincoln down gently.
"Are you sure?" Lincoln asked frightenedly as he had his eyes closed.
"I'm sure come on just look at the view." he said encouragingly Lincoln slowly open his eyes.
"Whoa!" Lincoln was left speeches at the beauty of the gorge.
"Yep simply breathtaking." Rey commented as he too was impressed by the beauty that was before him.
Next we see Lynn Sr wearing fishing gear.
"Next stop Grand current River." Lynn Sr says we see all the Loud sisters and Rey wearing fishing gear. Rey quickly notices that Leni is fishing in a bush. He quickly puts down his fishing rod and moves Leni along with her fishing rod to the river.
"Hey little dude, hook me up with another worm." Luna says.
"Sorry, all out." Lana says as she eats all the worms in the can, and Rey shakes his head in disappointment.
"Here Luna take mine." Rey offered his can to her.
"Thanks dude." Luna says politely and takes a worm and hooks it on to her fishing rod.
"Lincoln, you should join us." Rita urged Lincoln to come out of his hiding spot which was under a flipped red boat. Lincoln lifted of the boat with a serious look.
"Yeah, right. And get slipped down the river, contracted a deadly parasite, or slip on a rock and bang my head. Get amnesia and wind up in Tijuana. I don't think so!" Lincoln stated as he went back to its hiding spot Rey glances over where Lincoln was hiding and shook his head at his appointment and let out a annoyed sigh.
"You know, seeing Lincoln act this worried and paranoid reminds me of the times when I acted like that with my family and younger brother. I'm beginning to feel what he felt and I owe him a big apology." Rey says in an annoyed and apologetic tone.
we now see all the Loud family relaxing at a picnic area eating burgers, with Lynn Sr providing them, while Rita is feeding Lily some baby food.
"I wish I hadn't filled up on worms." Lana said in a regretful tone as she rubs her stomach.
"Lincoln, are you sure you won't join us?" Lynn Sr questioned. Lincoln popped out of the picnic basket that was behind his mother, wearing a white beekeeper's hat.
"Yeah, right. Attracting bears with the smell of burgers? I don't think so." Lincoln stated as he went back into the basket.
"I think bears also like the potato salad in that basket."Lori says, causing Lincoln to run screaming out of the basket.
Rey glared at Lori and flicked her on the side of the head.
"Ow!"
"Not cool, Lori. Not cool at all. I better go get him before he hurts himself." Rey says as he gets up from his seat and scarf her burger down and heads after Lincoln.
Rey sees Lincoln in an open field. Then he starts noticing Lincoln panicking. Lincoln runs towards a nearby log and hides in it. Rey shakes his head and heads to where Lincoln is hiding.
"Come on, Lincoln, is really starting to get ridiculous." Rey stated as he kneels down.
'Master!' Meni shouted in a panicked tone.
'What is it, Meni?!' Rey asked worriedly.
'I sense a dangerous hostile Force hitting your way you have to get Lincoln out of here!' Meni exclaimed.
'Oh, great. Talk about lousy timing. Thanks for letting me know, Meni.' Rey says.
"Hey Lincoln, can you do me a favor and hide in that log for a little bit?" he says in a serious tone.
"Uh, why, Rey?" Lincoln asked, suddenly feeling uneasy by the tone of his voice.
"I don't want to worry you, but I hear something suspicious not too far away. I'm going to investigate to make sure it's not dangerous. Until I get back, don't leave. Live long until I give you the okay. Got it!"
"Okay, Rey, but please be safe." Lincoln said.
"Sure thing." Rey says in a confident and reassuring tone as he begins to walk away from the log he decided to use his his most useful technique he has a good feeling that was about to happen could take a while he did his usual hand signs to use his technique.
'Shadow clone jutsu.' He says within his thoughts an instant his clone appeared right next to him.
"Like always, you know what to do. I'm not sure how long this will take. I'll try to finish whatever is coming our way." Rey spoke in a very low voice. The clone understood and headed back to where Lincoln is. Before he decided to look at original Rey to make sure that he was out of sight.
Rey made it into a small area that was running by trees and bushes. He glanced back to where his clone was. He saw that it was called and had managed to get Lincoln out of his hiding spot and let him back to the picnic area where the family was.
'Excellent Meni how far is the hostile?' Rey asked within his thoughts.
'Right behind you!' She claimed bluntly. Rey acted quickly and roundhouse kicked the hostile, knocking him to a nearby tree. The hostile became tangible, revealing to be Rufus in his fangre form Rey is surprised that it fangre this time.
"Ouch damn that hurts!" Rufus exclaimed as he reverted back to his human form.
"I have to admit... you got some damn good reflexes kid... that kick of yours really hurt I can tell you're no ordinary human." Rufus said as he struggles to get up.
"Alright, spill it fangre. What do you want? Do you have some beef with someone in the Loud family?!" Rey asked demandingly he hope and pray that this fangre doesn't hold a grudge with anyone within the family ever since what happened with Lori. He's been dreading that another incident could incur from a petty Orphnoch or fangre wanting personal payback with any of the Loud siblings.
"How rude... I have a name you know it's Rufus remember it well Kid!" Rufus said in a snarky remark as he got up.
"And answer you're the question I am not affiliated with anyone with that family you hang out with." Rufus informed Rey what are they sire relief but still didn't lower his guard.
"And another thing someone hired me to kill you. He sees you as a pest. I won't say who, but he has informed me that he knows what you are and also informs me that you know about my kind and those rotting Dusty corpses." Rufus says as he covers his mouth and disgust Rey as soon as he's talking about the Orphnoch.
'I have a gut feeling that this guy is working for N.V. Been awhile since I've had anyone to deal with from him.' Rey says as he digs into his jacket and pulls out his driver and places it on.
"All right let's get this over with. I'd like to get back to the family as soon as possible, so I'm going to try to end this fight quickly!" Rey stated in an annoyed tone as he opened his ride booker and pulled out his card.
"Straight to the point, I like a man who gets right down to business." Rufus said gleefully as he transformed back into his fangre form.
"But before we get started I need to know how many lives you've taken in this world!?" Rey asked in a dangerously hostile tone.
"What?" Rufus says confused.
"Don't deny it I know you Fangres and Orphnochs are not from this world so I'll ask again how many lives have you took!?" Rey ask again in the same tone only sounding more forceful.
"Hard to say it has been many years since I last looked back at all the women I have ever eaten in my world, it seems like a lifetime ago." Rufus says in a reminiscent tone as he looks up to the sky.
"But if you must I'll humor you. The number of lives I have claimed were a total of 263. However, to answer you truthfully, all of them were women." Rufus looks back at Ray and continues.
"200 of them were all human women and the other 63 were Orphnochs. The first three I know what they were, but sadly they tasted disgusting. The other 60, sadly, they didn't know they were Orphnochs. A real shame, really. They were very beautiful, but alas, I wish they tasted better. But don't worry, I never forget about them or the human women I have made beautiful dresses in their honor and to add the bonus, I preserve their precious jewelry so they won't be lost or forgot." Rufus said proudly.
Rey and his Pokemon couldn't help but feel angered and disgusted. It didn't help the way he was talking and boasting about his accomplishments. The Pokemon wanted to come out of their pokeballs and bombarded him their strongest attacks and Rey wanted to immediately slug him. However, Rey took a deep breath and composed himself.
"I appreciate telling me this Rufus I also appreciate you answering me my questions." Rey said in a calming relax tone as looked at his driver he opened it.
"Really?" He said surprised.
"Yes, I mean it." Rey says in a low, somber voice as he looks at Rufus, giving him a death glare that causes him to freeze.
"Now I won't feel guilty in killing you, Henshin!" Rey shouted as he inserted his card into his driver and close it.
KAMEN RIDE: DECADE
Ray charged forward as his armor began to form around him. Rufus was about to do something, but he was met with a powerful punch to the face, causing him to be knocked down. Now fully transformed Decade picked him up and began to whale on him aggressively, knowing what type of fangre he is. His goal now is to overwhelm him with multitude of punches and and punches and kicks, hoping to stun him.
'Wow, boss, you're really laying the smackdown on this guy. I kind of like it!' Kestrel commented.
Decade ignored her comment and returned his focus to the enemy front. He finished his assault on Rufus with a combo, punching and kneeing him in the gut. This prompted him to fall to the ground. He let out a painful groan. Decade wasn't finished. He picked Rufus up by the neck and threw him hard against a nearby tree.
"All right, I don't feel like dragging this out any longer. I'm going to finish you off now." Decades stated as he pulls out one of his cards from his ride booker and inserts it into his driver.
FINAL ATTACK RIDE: D-D-DECADE
10 holographic cards emerge from his driver Decade dashes forward with his right hand as he passed through the final card and about to deliver the final blow to Rufus with his hand chop suddenly a portal appears behind Rufus and he falls through it.
"What the heck?!" Both Decade and his Pokemon said at the same time as they saw him fall into the portal. Decade immediately ceased his attack and his hand stopped glowing. Decade stood where Rufus was, many the questions begin to arise. None of them knew what to think or say at this moment there was a brief silence and no one dared spoke.
'Well, sir, this is an interesting turn of events. Do you think he was called back by this N.V individual, sir?' Ryūsei broke the silence as he questioned.
'I am not too sure Ryūsei, but I am not complaining. I'm glad this didn't drag on. I'll call this a small victory. Let's head back to the Loud.' decade says as begins to walk away from this scene.
'I couldn't agree more with you, master. Let's not dwell on this moment of disaster averted.' Meni says.
'But still I'm curious where do you think that guy ended up?' Edgar asked.
'As much as I would like to know, but right now I don't care, Edgar. I really just want to get back to the Louds and just get this day over with.' Decade says as he exits the area where he was.
'But first, Rey dear, don't forget to use your invisibility card. We don't want to draw attention while we're here.' Kaori chimed in with her maternal voice.
"Already ahead of you Kaori." Decade immediately brought out his invisibility card and inserted into his driver.
ATTACK RIDE: INVISIBLE
High above the sky we see N.V tearing down where Decade is heading as he disappears.
"Huh I'm surprised I didn't think he would attack Rufus so aggressively, and to top it all off, he was about to finish him off with his final attack." N.V says he is both taking it back but intrigued by what he witnessed today.
"Rufus is not going to be happy when he finds out that I saved him. Normally, I don't care what happens to my personal pawns, but that fool still has his uses." N.V continues.
"The next time I call upon him, he will likely complain about this incident. He'll probably be very offended that I took pity on him in saving his life. He will not like the fact that someone like Rey overpowered him. He will definitely see this incident as a wounding of his pride. And he will likely hold a grudge against Rey in this humiliating moment. However, I have found it hilarious!" N.V starts laughing hysterically.
"Well, he brought this upon himself. I warned him not to underestimate him, but hopefully, the compensation money I send will be enough to calm his annoyed mood." N.V says as he snaps his fingers and his portal appears next to him.
"Well, today was an interesting day for me to head home. I still can't believe that Lori pissed off an Orphnoch. That was an interesting sight." N.V chuckled as he entered his portal.
Meanwhile, we return back with the louds. It seems that everyone is all packed up and ready to go. We see Copy-Rey waiting patiently at the entrance.
'I hope the original isn't having too much trouble. I wonder how much time I can buy until the original returns.' The copy says within its thoughts.
"You copy." A familiar voice brought him out of his thoughts. He recognized that voice. It was the voice of the original, who was still invisible.
"About time, how did it go?" The copy asked in a low voice.
"Nothing I could handle comes on time for us to be one. Let's head to the back of the cabin." The copy nods and follows the instructions of the original and heads to the back of the cabin, checking to make sure that no one is around the area. The original makes himself visible and transforms back into his civilian form. The copy instantly went poof.
"All right let's review the memories... Everything played out like it did in the episode. Not much has changed except for the part where I mentioned that my predictions didn't come. But unfortunately, it somewhat did, but not in the way it should have been. Other than that, everything's in order." Ray said as he made his way out of his hiding spot. He noticed Lincoln slumped over and depressed.
Seeing this Rey went over to him to cheer him up when suddenly both him and Rey felt a sudden rumble on the ground.
"Well, this is the first time I felt the ground tremble." Rey commented, seeing Lincoln going through some bushes, knowing what's going to happen next, he decides to follow him to see the event unfold. As he made it through, he sees Lincoln looking at the geyser, Rey and his Pokemon were left astonished. They have never seen a geyser erupt before; it was a true site to behold.
"Whoa!" Lincoln says as he marveled at the site it was so marvelous it was enough to leave you teary-eyed.
"Whoa is right Lincoln." Lincoln is startled by the sudden arrival of Rey.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Rey apologized, offering his hand to help Lincoln as his mother reached for his hand. They heard a honking sound, and they both emerged from the bushes to see the family van leaving.
"He really is leaving us behind. Yeesh! And I thought that was an empty threat."Lincoln said astonish that his father meant what he said during the trip.
"I'm going to have a word with your father about this. Come on!" Ray exclaimed in a low annoyed growl which startled Lincoln the two of them immediately went to chase after the van.
"HEY GUYS WAIT UP!" Both boys said the same time miraculously Lynn Sr heard the boys and immediately stopped Rey is quick to open the door immediately notice almost everyone in the van is asleep with the exception of Luna probably listening to music.
"GUYS, GUYS you won't believe what happened! Me and Rey saw the geyser go off!" Lincoln explains with excitement as he gets in the van along with Rey who took his seat next to Lola.
"Ugh Lincoln you told me Pop pop wasn't going to be here." Leni retorted annoyingly.
"Leni it's not... never mind this turned out to be the best day ever." Lincoln says drifted off the sleep
Rey was about to chime in on how he felt about the day, but he decided to withhold and let his opinion and let Lincoln have this one. If he had to say something about it, it was a nice day, despite the minor inconvenience that happened. It wasn't all that bad; it felt just right.
"Well Lucy, I guess you'll be throwing out silly cards now that you've been completely discredit."
"Wrong I can prove that fortune tellin is real by one last prediction." As Lucy was about to prove Lisa wrong she immediately noticed that she's missing her deck as she's about to look for them.
"Looking for these Lucy." Rey shows her that he's holding her deck of cards.
"Sorry Lucy, but I think we've had enough predictions for one day. You can have your deck back once we arrive at the house. Speaking of arrival," Rey immediately directs his attention to Lynn Sr who is driving close his eyes and formed an uncharacteristically smile.
"Oh Mr Loud." As Lynn Sr about to respond he catches a glance of Rey's reflection on the rear mirror he flinched at the site of Rey's smile.
Before he could respond, Rey popped his left index finger with his thumb, the sound and made with so loud it awoken everyone in the van minus Luna.
"You and I are going to have a long, nice chat when we get back to the house. I won't say why, but be ready. You are in for the lecture of your lifetime Ossan!" Rey said creepily as he opened his eyes still holding on to that uncharacteristic smile.
There we go, all finished. I wish I had this published in the last days of March, but certain things got in the way of my life. Oh well, what can you do? Real life gets in the way a lot of stuff can't be helped, also not to mention after what happened.
Also, I just want to give everyone a heads up depending on the scenario that will involve my OC. He will try to eliminate his enemies quickly as possible whenever he's hanging out with anyone in the Loud family. But if he's by himself, he fights will be a little bit longer just depends.
Anyways, have of y'all seen the new trailer for Pokemon Legends: ZA? I was certainly surprised that a new Legends game is already in development it a little disappointing won't be released until next year. Nonetheless I am very excited, and I hope they'll introduce new Mega Evolutions.
And unrelated notes stellar blade it's about to be released this month can't wait to play it.
