Hello everyone, back again with another chapter. I hope my take on one of the boys was exceptional. Anyways, today's chapter will take place in a tattler's tale, but there isn't anything that Rey will do in this episode; he'll be pretty much doing his own thing while the Loud siblings are dealing with Lola.
However, however the events that are transpiring with our Rider will be important and it will help progress the remaining chapters and episodes for the story.

Chapter 12 Sparring Bond
It's nighttime at the Loud house. We see Rey sitting on the couch in the living room, talking on the phone.
"Hey Soma, it has been 3 weeks 3 days since we last saw each other in person. Have you been doing well?" Rey asked him. It indeed has been 3 weeks and 3 days since the meeting he had at the Lucky Pedal Cafe. During those 3 weeks, things have been rather strangely peaceful, which he doesn't trust.
*I've been doing great, and how have you been doing since our meeting?*
"Nothing much the first week we last met was kind of boring. The only thing that was eventful about that week was when I had to deal with 9 love-struck girls," Rey answered.
He briefly thought back about that day, there wasn't much going on for him at the time, though. Then he noticed that Lincoln had invited a college student named Hugh to be his tutor to help him study for an exam. When he arrived, he went to greet the man politely, and you read it back to him in the same manner as Rey did.
Rey was about to excuse himself when he spotted Lori coming in. talking on the phone, when she glanced at Hugh, she was left awestruck. It wasn't just her; one by one, each of the sisters that came in spotted him, and they too were all struck by Hugh's appearance. The only one that wasn't affected briefly was Leni. From there, that's when the chaos ensued. Luckily, Rey managed to persuade the girls to be on their best behavior and kindly turned them away in a slight threatening manner.
"Then next week I had to deal with some finals related to school, which was fairly easy. I've been spending my second week here cooped up in the house with the occasional ride on my bike since it's now summer vacation. It's been so boring around here, yet with the occasional chaos and violence," Rey continued.
"Then, week three, then nothing much. Just kept an eye on some of the kids, making sure no violent outburst comes up. And then I got a package from my benefactor. I've been focused on that package for the remainder of week, three and the last 3 days have been somewhat repetitive."
*Sounds like you had a good time, anyway, Rey. I get the feeling this call is not just for pleasantries, is it? What else do you want?*
"Well, if you must know, Soma, I'm actually calling to ask if you're willing to lend me a hand with something." He said in a professional manner.
*Really, that's interesting. What do you need help on?*
"I need a sparring partner Soma. You see, being at this house has made me feel a little bit sluggish. The only workouts I ever get are when I'm breaking up fights, carrying groceries, laundry, taking out the trash, minor physical activities, with the occasional random attacks from your kind and you know who." Rey says glaring.
"Not to mention, things have been peaceful for the last 3 weeks and days. I can't shake off the feeling that something big is about to happen, and I want to be ready for it. I can't do it with everyone in the house, or I won't be able to work outside without raising suspicions."
*I think you're just overthinking this, Rey, but I can see your point, given your unique circumstances and the situation you're in most of the time, and not to mention the stories you've told me about your journey and mission. Plus, I feel I need to get ready myself since you've practically involved me in your little troubles.*
"I apologize for that Soma." Ray says in a guilty voice.
*Don't worry about it, Rey. Regardless, I will help you.*
"Wait really you will?"
*But of course, personally, I could use a workout myself and I want to see what you can do and your regular form. So, where will we be training at?*
"Outside of town, is the only place where I can openly train without drawing attention and also giving me opportunity to get my Pokemon some fresh air I will pick you up at the Lucky Pedal Cafe since I have no idea where you live." Rey scratches head embarrassingly he questions himself how come he never bothered to ask Soma where he lived.
*Oh my apologies, I will send you to my address in town right now.*
Soma said on his end of the call there was a second of silence before Ray God a ping sound. He took away his phone from his ear for a moment and saw a message from Soma, an honest message showing the address and locations of a place called Cozy Lil Condo. Rey's eyes slightly widened.
"Cozy lil condo! Wow I didn't think you'll be living there." Rey is astonished.
*I am what's wrong with that place?*
"Oh, there's nothing wrong with it. I'm just surprised it's all the same. I'll be at the condo to pick you up, so I can take you to the forest to train. Bring your best equipment." Rey says in a serious but comedic voice.
*All right but what time if you want me asking?*
Rey pause for a moment to think on a suitable time.
"How about 10:00 in the morning is that suitable?" Rey questioned.
*It's doable 10:00 it is then see you tomorrow then.*
Soma hangs up the phone on his line ray to end the call and puts away his phone.
"Hey guys, are y'all looking forward to finally being out of your pokeballs?" Rey asked, his voice eager and excited.
"Oh boy, boss, are we ever!" Onibi practically shouted excitedly.
'Yeah, you said it. I lay back, overgrown weasel being cooped up in here has started to drive me crazy. Not to mention, all this peace and quiet has been boring, but I want some action for once. What's taking that punk so long to send us some action?' Kestrel shouted frustratingly.
'Please don't jinx us. I've been enjoying these last 3 weeks of peace, and I hate for our time of peace to be ruined because of your loud beak, Kestrel!' Meni shouted at Kestrel.
'I to would appreciate it if you didn't cause a jinx for us Kestrels. I too have been enjoying this time of peace and quiet.' Ryūsei stated.
'Yes, I do hope that you don't jinx us. I want this peaceful time to last as long as possible, although being out of our pokeballs doesn't sound like a bad idea either. But still I'm praying that you don't jinx us too.' Kaori shared the same thoughts as Meni and Ryūsei. She would be very mad if Kestrel jinxed them too.
'Agreed with you on that sister.' Both Edgar and Onibi agreed in perfect innocent.
"MOM! THEY WON'T LET ME IN THEIR SECRETS SECRETS CLUB!" The screens of an familiar little girl can be heard from upstairs those screams were of Lola.
'Geez what's gotten Little Miss wannabe princess so upset this time?!' Kestrels questions but in a more annoyed tone.
"She's complaining that her siblings are having another of their secret meetings again I'm leaving her out, and her screams are an obvious clue." Rey state of the obvious as he rolled his eyes having full knowledge where this is going specially since it's an episode of that he has mixed feelings on.
'Should we check on her and see she's okay?' Kaori questions in her concerned motherly like voice.
"I don't think so," Rey answers, "I have a gut feeling that we should probably stay out of this one for now."
'So, if you don't mind me changing the subject, Rey, what do you think those kids are talking about in their secret meeting club?' Edgar questioned curiously.
"Ah, I know what they're talking about," Rey said in a different voice, which got the Pokémon's attention.
'You do?!' All six of them said in perfect unison.
"Have you ever noticed the stuff I've been hiding in the bead room from Lynn's senior disco ball boots, along with Rita's wedding dress, and other various items, and then replacing them with high-quality duplicates? Then, coincidentally, said duplicates of the hidden items were either destroyed, ruined, or messed up beyond belief or repair."
'Yeah.'
"That's what their secret meeting club is all about, them talking about and confessing to each other the accidents they've caused unintentional."
'You know that totally makes a lot of sense now.' Kestrels
'Excuse me, sir, but how did you know the items you hidden were about to be destroyed? and how you predicted that outcome accurately is very slim, and last time I checked, you're not a psychic. Did Lady Claire tell you what's going to happen?' Ryūsei question in a very suspicious voice Rey knew he slightly messed up by saying too much luckily he had a counter for this exact moment.
"Somewhat she did and most of it came to me in a dream." Rey explained.
'So you had another of those deja vu dreams again wow boss been forever since you had one of those.' Onibi stated.
'Indeed the last time you had one of those dreams it involved you getting into a fight with that alpha.' Ryūsei added.
Rey on the other hand is thankful that they bought his answer he feels like he's not ready to tell them about the truth about this world at least not yet.
Elsewhere
We ourselves are at the level of N.V behind the strong wall, and we see a new man-made entrance going further. We have found our mysterious hooded friend sitting in a large, spacious area within this new area. The cavern is designed relatively like an office. In this room, we see him working at a desk, and on his desk, you see a small pile of papers.
"Let's go over what we've learned these past few weeks to refresh my memory. It feels like it's been forever since I've done anything productive," he says with an annoyed, bored tone as he takes one of the papers in front of him.
"First off, Rey showed up and saved those kids from a certain doom by my hands, and he didn't kill the bumblebee fangre, which is thoroughly disappointing." He says with a sense of disgust as he begins to read another part of the paper.
"He carried her off somewhere after returning the kids to a certain arcade place. Then he walked off to call a buddy of his to pick her up. That buddy was the first brainwashed pawn I used sometime ago. It was a little surprising for me." He said, with an almost intrigued tone.
"After that little interesting discovery I have send my little spy drone that was observing Rey to spy on that Soma kid after Rey left her with him." He summarized as he continued to speak.
"After that, nothing much happened. It was pretty much boring. Then he called up a guy named Max and asked him to arrange a meeting at his place." He said it in a dissatisfied tone.
"Next day comes along, then they have their secret meeting at a new café place in town. Send my spy drone in there, testing the new invisibility feature. They just basically recapped everything they knew. Explain what they said to use as a pawn, and that took forever. Then Rey exited the café with Max. He gave him something, and then headed home. That's it." N.V finished as he leaned back in his chair and started playfully spinning around in it.
"And the last three weeks have been nothing but boring, a snooze fest so boring that I spent those weeks traveling the world just to relieve some boredom. Then I met up with Rufus again to see how he's doing. It turns out he's been causing a lot of random ruckus, picking any random fights to prove his superiority in strength. I'll give him credit for being motivated," N.V said in an almost impressed tone as he got up from his chair and proceeded to walk to his throne.
"I wonder what I missed during my 3-week sabbatical and where should I start? What happened during these 3 weeks? I'll just see what he's been doing today," N.V contemplates as he sits on his throne.
"You know what let's see what happened in today's footage." N.V decided as he took out his tablet he tapped on an icon that says recent footage and then he puts on a pair of wireless headphones and plays the video.
The video starts off with nothing much, just a loud kid doing his usual shenanigans, and Rey just doing whatever. He decides to fast forward towards the end as the footage is moving fast. He catches a glimpse of a scene where the kid is tapping on the phone, pausing it, and then hitting play.
Throughout that scene, he saw him on the phone and listened carefully to what they were talking about, nodding at everything he heard. Something he heard perked him up.
"I see interesting." He said with interest as he pauses the video he puts away his device and takes out his phone he taps on the phone icon and scrolls through his contacts until he lands on a a name that reads Dolores.
"Hey it's me are you busy... Excellent portal you in now." He said cheerfully as he opens up a pool in front of him out of that portal comes out a a woman of Spanish descent who has very long black hair wearing short shorts slippers and a pink tank top looking rather tired and annoyed as she gazes at N.V
"Hey there, Dolores, how is my favorite chameleon, Orphnoch, doing on this fine night?" N.V says curiously to the woman named Dolores, who was revealed to be the chameleon Orphnoch.
The now identify them chameleon Orphnoch Dolores let out a annoyed sigh and greets him politely.
"It's been going well, my Lord. Now, explain to me why you called me so late?!" Dolores asked in an agitated and tired voice, slightly threatening.
"Wow, how bold of you to speak with such a threatening voice. I might be rubbing off on you a little bit." N.V said cheekily as he got up from his throne and walked right beside her.
"But it's also getting late, and I'm also a little tired myself. I feel like going to sleep too, so I'll make it quick. Do you remember that Soma guy I sent you to spy on, but you lost track of him?" He asked Dolores humorously.
"How could I not? It still irritates me how I lost track of him and your enemy." She says, gritting her teeth in frustration.
"Well, good news for you: I found out where he was. My little pest saved him and has been in cahoots with him his entire time." He informed, which got Dolores's attention.
"Well, that's interesting. What else can you tell about their acquaintance?" She asked seriously as N. V comedically places his arm on her shoulder.
"Well, apparently, after my 'goody two shoes' enemy saved him and got all chummy with the kid, I found out that Soma is some part of a secret organization that sympathizes with humans. Then, they helped each other out to help this girl that I brought to Washington to attack. My enemy was lured out by a bunch of kids, and now we're here." He summarized.
"All right, so what is it you want me to do about this? Do you want me to finish off what we originally started? It should have failed." Dolores's ass cheeks appeared on her face.
"Not this time, and actually, I want you to do some reconnaissance on these two. Apparently, they're about to do some training together to help each other get stronger or something." N. V. explained as he removed himself from Dolores.
"I don't mind doing this favor for you, my Lord, but you have those fly drones at your disposal; using me will be redundant, as you have these interesting devices that you created." Dolores pointed out.
"Yeah, you do have a point on that, but I don't want to risk sending one of my spy drones for one reason: their zooming range is limited. And I don't want them getting destroyed. My power and resources are very limited at the moment that's why I'm calling you for this job; you're a lot more stealthy than my drones. Your invisibility is quite useful, and they won't see you coming." He explained. Dolores could tell by the sound of his voice that he was flattering her, but she was not impressed.
"Flattery won't get you anywhere, my Lord." She said flatly as she pulled herself away from N. V.
"But I got to be honest with you things in my life right now are a little bit boring and I'm starting to feel lazy so I'll humor you in this case and spy on them for you." Dolores that are reluctantly.
"It doesn't matter; I'm just glad you're on board, anyways." N.V said gleefully as his fingers appeared in a portal right next to her.
"Once I find out where those two are headed to train, I'll call you and send you there directly." N. V nonchalantly said as he headed back to his throne.
Dolores has nothing else to say and just walk through the portal as it disappeared.
Next day
Outside of Royal woods we see Soma and Rey standing in a large open foresty area this area is the same one where he and his Pokemon had their chat when they were attacked by the random Orphnoch.
Soma is wearing a red tank top along with gray and black shorts with a small yellow rose sewed on to on the right side of his leg he is wearing Gray red black running shoes next we have Rey who is wearing a interesting uniform this uniform belongs to an anime and manga called my hero academia.
The uniform a solid blue color it has a letter u that expands to his chest his shoulders all the way to his back same applied to the pants that has a letter a that and at his ankles and on his arms has a white hexagon supporting it with a white line circled around with some red highlights.
'I need to think Claire later for give me an authentic UA PE uniform.' Rey said excitingly as he begins to stretch his whole body.
"So Rey are you ready to started?" Soma eagerly question.
"Hold on a moment I need to get something first" Rey says as he takes off his backpack opens one of the pockets rummaging through it for a little bit then pulls out his six pokeballs and throws them in the air an instant all six of them open up releasing the Pokemon.
"Hi Soma!" Onibi Kaori Edgar Meni said in perfect unison.
"Hey guys." Soma wave back at them smilingly.
"You have already met these four, so allow me to introduce you to the last member of my team." Rey said in a formal tone, gesturing for Ryūsei and Kestrel to step forward to introduce themselves to his friend. Ryūsei is the first to step forward towards Soma.
Soma gazes at the site of Ryūsei; he couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by his height and presence. Something was running through his head: wondering how this guy would sound. Would it be intimidating, rude, or scary? He soon broke out of his thoughts as Ryūsei stuck out his right hand, clapping at him.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Soma. My name is Ryūsei." He greeted him in a very calm, formal, and polite manner. The way he spoke caught Soma off guard. He had the perception that he would sound a bit more rough, gruff, and scary, but instead, he sounds a bit formal and polite. Soma couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief and took his claw to shake it.
"It is nice to meet you too, Ryūsei. Also, there is no need to be so formal; just talk to me normally like talk to your fellow Pokémon. If it's all the same with you." Soma said as he let go of his claw.
Stepping up next is Kestrel; she looks at him with an indifferent look. Soma kneels down to her eye level to greet her.
"Well hello there, pretty bird, what's your name?" Soma asked in a baby-like tone. This got her angry, as she grabbed his collar by her talents, forcing him to meet her face head-on with a glaring look. For some reason, he found it very intimidating.
"Hey, bub, who you calling a pretty bird? Kestrel isn't pretty; I'm tough and can easily knock you into next week. I, dare you to call me pretty bird again go ahead I Dare You!" Kestrel shouted angrily.
"H-hey, take it easy. I mean no offense." Soma said sweating fearfully.
"All right, all right, take it easy and let the poor guy go already. He's just complimenting you. Kestrel, also, he's not wrong; you are a beautiful bird. It's not often you see a shiny Staraptor like yourself." Kestrel growls and immediately lets him go by shoving him.
"Wait shiny?" Soma said confused as he got up.
"What do you mean by shiny she doesn't look shiny to me?" Soma question.
"Short answer: She's a Pokémon that's a different color from her species which is extremely rare to come across. Here, let me show you an example." Rey went back to his backpack, rummaged through it again, and after a moment, took out a device—a Pokedex from the Sinnoh region, deep magenta in color. Rey let out a nostalgic sigh.
"It feels like it's been ages since I held and used my Dex." Rey reminisces as he opens his Dex's device, which has dual screens on top and bottom. Rey taps on the bottom screen several times until he finds what he was looking for. He walks up to Soma and shows him his Dex.
On the screen, it shows a Staraptor with darker shades of gray mixed with lighter grays, some white, and a yellow beak with a red tip on top of his feathery head.
=Staraptor, the predator Pokémon, is the final evolved form of Staraptor. Its ferocious nature means it has no problem challenging much larger opponents.=
As the device finish explaining Soma couldn't help but whistle what he just heard from Rey's device.
"Wow, that is useful to know and. It's pretty cool to see the difference in her and the others. It's pretty cool." Soma says, impressed.
"You're pretty lucky to run into someone like her." Soma complimented.
"Yeah, I'm fortunate to have encountered her, thanks to Kaori." Rey, says, heads to his backpack, to put away his Pokedex.
"Wait, Kaori? Help you find her?" Soma asked, astonished. Kaori looked away, a bit shy and embarrassed. Kestrel, on the other hand, just sneered at her. The other Pokemon let out a annoyed sigh. Soma noticed the looks on everyone, but he noticed the look on Kestrel, which got him a bit curious.
"All right Kestrel stop sneering at Kaori we got some training to do y'all." Rey order calling her to back down and look away from her.
"All right, Soma. First, I like to do hand-to-hand combat training. I'm pretty decent, but I learned a long time ago that there's nothing wrong with improving a skill you're already good at. Are you in?" Rey asked as he took a fighting stance. Soma smirked at his question and took a fighting stance as well.
"Oh, I'm in all right. Things have been pretty boring since I moved to Royal Woods, and I've been feeling a little rusty." Soma said eagerly.
"Good." Rey excitedly then he directed his attention to Kaori and Meni.
"Kaori, you're in charge of overseeing or training. If things get too intense, call it off immediately. And Meni, if either one of us gets too injured, you're in charge of patching us up. Got it?"
"Roger that!" Kaori and Meni responded with a salute, while Kestrel let out a quiet yawn and started stretching her wings, then began to flap them.
"All right, you guys, you have fun with your whatever. I'm going to take a flight. It feels like I've been cooped up in my pokeball for a long time. So later." Kestrel said, then took flight away from the area.
"You know, while I do find Kestrel's rude behavior and attitude to be a minor problem in most cases, I believe she might be onto something about flying off to stretch her wings." Ryūsei comments, looking to his trainer.
"I'm going to do some exploration in the forest. Being confined in a pokeball for months does get tiresome and stressful." Ryūsei stated.
"I understand but don't wonder too off okay and be safe out there." Rey urges Ryūsei nods in response.
"I will, sir. Good luck with your training session. And, trying to go easy on him, Mr. Soma doesn't like when people hold back, so give it your best."
"No problem I intend to not go easy on this guy." Soma says with a cocky smile as Ryūsei begins to walk off.
"You know, while Ryu is off doing some walking around in the forest, I'm just going to lean back on a tree and sleep. Today feels like a nice day for a nap." Onibi says as he walks by a nearby tree and leans against it, immediately drifting to sleep.
"And just like that he's out like a lamp." Edgar said in a deadpan voice.
"You know, Rey, I might just take a page from Ryusei and wonder around the forest. I'll be back soon." Edgar said as he too began to walk away.
"All right, no more dilly-dally, let's get started!" Rey dashed forward to deliver a roundhouse kick; Soma quickly evaded it.
'No hesitations good.' Soma smirks excitedly as he throws a punch at Rey but Rey quickly deflects it with his right forearm. Then, Rey throws another roundhouse kick, but Soma deflects it as well. As he goes for another punch, Rey blocks that punch with his leg.
While these two are sparring at a far distance from them, so far that it cannot be seen by anyone, we find a pair of binoculars floating suspiciously in the air. Soon, we get to see a transparent figure. That figure soon solidifies. It turned out to be Dolores, who is wearing camouflage style clothes.
Sat still on a branch, observing their sparring match, Dolores took out her phone without looking, tapped on the screen, tapped on the call icon, and put it up to her ear. I picked up the line within a second.
"Hello, my Lord. This is Dolores reporting in on our target's activities. Our target brought his associate to an open forest area, as you described. How did you know he was going to come here?" Dolores asked curiously.
*It's quite simple; there are so few places he can train privately in this town. The better option is to head out of town to train privately. The only place he knows is far away from the town and far away from prying eyes. Not to mention, this is the place where I sent my other associates to eliminate him.*
"It would make sense." She agreed
*So, what are they doing right now?*
"It would appear that they're doing some form of combat training so far no side is lighting up." Dolores commented there were binoculars we see Soma jumping up in the air to perform in ax kick but Rey evaded.
*All right, is there anything else that I should know about or be curious about?*
"Our target had released some strange-looking animals—six of them, in fact. I see two feminine-looking humanoid creatures observing the match. One of them looks a bit worried." Dolores commented. There are binoculars we can use to see Kaori, who looks rather nervously frightened, while Meni looks a little bit calm. Then, she shifts her binoculars to Onibi, who is still napping.
"Next, we have a giant rodent sleeping peacefully, leaning against a tree. After that, we had a large bird that flew away. Then, a land-dwelling shark walked away, along with an emperor penguin-like creature." She informed that she shipped her binoculars back to Rey and Soma, who were still going at it.
*Oh, I see that Rey let out his pets for a while. Don't worry about them right now; just focus your attention on those two morons. Anyway, I'll let you do what you need to do. Just keep documenting everything you see.*
"As you wish my Lord." Dolores hung up the phone and resume looking at her targets.
An hour later.
We see both Rey and Soma covered with several scuff marks and bruises standing next to Soma is Meni holding a jar of semi-transpiric cream. She scoops up a little bit of the cream and applies it on Soma's left cheek. Next, we see Kaori next to Rey looking a bit concerned, who applies the same type of cream on a trainer on his left cheek.
The boys were training very vigorously to the point that they lost themselves in the heat of the moment. Each of them delivered powerful left hooks to each other's faces, causing them to be knocked out. This caused them to be out for an hour once they regained consciousness. Kaori and Meni immediately got to work and treated their wounds.
"You say that the medicine you're putting on my face will heal instantly?" Soma asked perplexedly.
"It should an acquaintance of ours developed a special medicine she is certain that it heal you up instantly removing any bruises or cuts." Meni answers the Quinta she's talking about is none other than Claire the medicine that she applies was made from medical leaks to be precise made from whatever medical leaks they had on their person.
Soma is still a bit skeptical about the medicinal cream but his skepticisms faded when he felt a slight sizzling sensation on his cheek where the medicine was applied. Once the sizzling feeling stopped, he slowly touched his cheek where he got punched. He felt no pain, not even a single wince of pain.
"Well, it's reassuring to know the medicine she gave us actually did work, and I guess giving her all our supply of medical leaks was worth it." Meni says with a slight sassy tone.
"I agree, I was a little bit worried that it wouldn't work, and we gave all our supplies for nothing, but I'm glad we turned out to be wrong. It saves the trouble too, squeeze out the juices. It's a heal, dear Rey, or anyone else that gets hurt." Kaori chimed in cheerfully.
"Hey guys!" The group, minus Onibi, look to the right to where the voices came from, coming out of the forest. We see both Edgar and Ryūsei, the duo, looking at Rey, Soma, Kaori, and Meni, a little worried. The reason for their worry is that they recognize the jars in their hands and see their trainer, who is all scuffed up.
"So did something bad happened while we were gone?" Edgar question.
"Not really me and Soma kind of got caught up in the moment of our training session. We both slugged each other at the same time, causing both of us to be knocked out. According to the girls, we were knocked out for an hour, and Onibi has been sleeping throughout the whole event." Rey explains while pointing out Onibi, who is still sleeping.
"Anyways, I'm starting to feel hungry. Are any of y'all up for lunch?"
"Sure all of that sparring around has left me a bit hungry." Soma answered.
"A lunch break sounds very lovely, Rey." Kaori said cutely. Any instant, Onibi immediately woke up upon hearing lunch.
"Someone said, 'lunch where's lunch and how long I've been out?'" Onibi questioned frantically.
"You've been asleep for an hour, yet again, upon hearing the word 'lunch', you wake up from your nap." Meni said dryly. Soma Edgar and Ryūsei said nothing and just looked at him with a deadpan Kaori let out it includes giggle.
Rey shook his head and got up, dusting himself off. He went through his backpack again and pulled out a semi-medium black plastic container, from which he took out a couple of bags of apples. He briefly glanced at the sky coming into view. He saw Kestrel coming into view.
'Perfect timing.' He says humorous within his thoughts as Kestrel lands in front of him.
"Hey boss taking a break?" She asked curiously.
"That I am come, join us, it's lunch time. The others are waiting." Rey says casually, as she complies with her emotions to follow him to the others.
"Hey sis how was your flight?" Onibi ask lazily.
"It was great felt nice to stretch and fly around." Kestrel said in a relief tone.
"All right, everyone, help yourselves to as many apples as you like."
Rey holds out the bag as everyone of his Pokémon starts grabbing apples. If they can see that both bags are now empty, he sets the bags down.
Next, he presents the black container. He opens it up, and inside, there are six Japanese rice balls. But these rice balls are completely different from your regular ones. On the edges, there are some white spots on both the front and back. They're golden brown with a slight burn to them.
"Wait, are those yaki onigiri?!" Soma nearly shouted in shock.
"They are why are you disappointed when I brought?" Rey questioned, wondering if he had chosen to bring the wrong item for lunch to share with his training partner.
"Wait what? Of course not I'm happy!" Soma said joyfully as he picked up one and inspect it.
"Yaki onigiri are my favorite; I've been craving these things for a while!" Explain that he took a bite of it.
"Oh my God, these things taste incredible!" Soma exclaimed dramatically. He finished his first one and immediately went for another. Meni and the others couldn't help but overhear what Soma said. Each formed their own facial expressions that showed a form of pride in their trainer.
"Well, there's no surprise that anything Master makes is extremely delicious!" Meni smirks proudly.
"I concur that the things Rey can prepare and make are almost heavenly!" Kaori says in a dreamy voice while she spends around elegantly.
"With you on Kaori, ah the food boss makes you feel like you're floating in heaven." Onibi said in a similar dreamy voice as he envisioned himself floating on a cloud.
"Come on, you three, I think you're exaggerating. I'm not that good of a cook. Personally, I think you two girls are better cooks than me." Rey stated as he pointed at Kaori and Meni.
"And who was the one that taught them how to cook sir." Ryūsei interjected as he took a bite of his Apple.
"Wait a minute, those two can cook?" Soma expressed surprise with a look.
"Yep, Rey taught them both how to cook. It's a funny story how that happened." Edgar commented as he packed his Apple.
"Geez, boss, can you just accept the praise everyone is giving you? There's such a thing as being too humble!" Kestrel said, irritated, as she picked her apple.
"Also, may I remind you that your cooking is so great that everyone in the loud house loves it? Heck, your cooking is so good that you made whiny Lynn cry out of joy." Kestrel added. Rey let out a heavy sigh of disbelief.
"And ever since that day I've been helping Mr. Loud in the kitchen. In the process, he believes he can learn something just by observing me cook. Even though there isn't much for him to learn from me, the only thing he ever did learn from me is new recipes." Rey said in a annoyed, deadpan voice.
"Let's just drop this for now and focus on finishing our meals. Then, after that, we can get back to training, okay?"
We cut to see Rey opening the front door of the Loud house looking a bit groggy and tired, possibly with a sore behind. We see the sky turning a bit orange, indicating that the sun is setting.
"I'm back." Rey said tiredly as he walked to the couch and crashes face flat on it.
Coming into the living room is Lynn senior.
"Hey Rey, welcome back! How's your day been, my fellow chef?" Lynn, the senior, asked whimsically.
"Exhausting." Rey answers.
"I suppose you want me to help in the kitchen again?" Rey asked tiredly.
"Na it's okay Rey, I'll handle it. Just relax." Lynn says as he turns back to head into the kitchen, but then quickly stops to look back at Rey.
"Damn, I almost forgot. While you were gone, you got a lot more packages again, like usual. They're from Claire. You'll find your packages are behind the couch." Lynn nodded and headed to the kitchen.
Rey stood up from the couch he looked behind the couch and sees three packages two of them were long rectangular shape boxes and the other are very large square box he got them from their spot he sent them on the floor and inspects them curiously.
"Hey guys, what do you think Claire sent this time?" Rey asked his Pokémon curiously, wondering what their response would be to the items in front of him.
'Beats me boss personally I hope it's snacks!" Onibi say in giddy voice. Rey rolled his eyes while the other five Pokemon just let out an annoyed groan.
"Oh let's see anyways." Rey chose one of the long boxes first has he slightly pride open the bottom as he pulled the item from the box is revealed to be a black wooden sword in the shape of a katana.
"Wow, it's a boken! I could use this to train and hone my swordsmanship. Plus, it'll be perfect for tomorrow's training with Soma," Rey said happily. He set down his wooden sword, thinking about putting away the box that contained his item. However, he quickly noticed something else inside the box. He pulled it out, revealing it to be some sort of carrying case.
"Wow, that's convenient! A carrying case for my boken. It'll be easy to carry it with me tomorrow," Rey said as he put the case next to his wooden sword. He didn't go for the similar shaped rectangle box. Upon opening it, it's revealed to be another boken, but this one has a stain color to it. And with it is its own case. What you said, put both of them next to his first one.
"She really didn't have to send me another one but it's pretty useful to have a spare one to give to my training buddy to help me with my sword training and I can also use it to practice dual wielding." Rey said happily at least sets it down next to the first one.
Moving on to the last box, Rey removed the tape that was sealing it. Once the tape was removed, he opened the box. The contents of it were clothing: a stack of t-shirts, the first of which was black with a red bat symbol. Next to it, there was a large stack of shorts, followed by what appears to be a stack of sweatpants of different colors. Next to the pants were underwear.
"I see she send me a box of clothing." He says in a neutral voice.
'You sound almost slightly disappointed boss.' Kestrel pointed.
"I'm not it's not what I expected is all."
'Well it may not what you expected. I think it's nice that Claire send you a a box filled with new clothes she really cares about you Rey.' Kaori gushed.
Rey didn't respond he only simply grabbed the shirt a pair of shorts that were in a similar color scheme of the shirt and some underpants.
"Well she went on her way to give me these clothes it would be a shame if I didn't try them on and I do need to take a shower anyways though so this seems like a perfect time to try them on." Rey says that he heads up the stairs.
Meanwhile
We see Dolores standing in front of N.V in his lair she is holding a notebook.
"So Dolores how was the reconnaissance mission?" N.V after he sits on his throne professionally.
"It went as well as you expected, my Lord. Thankfully, they didn't sense my presence or spot me. Now, here's my report." Dolores says as she opens her journal and begins to reiterate what she saw.
"From what I've seen, our targets Soma and Rey are doing some friendly sparring and training outside of Royal Woods. They are pretty evenly matched, even though I get the feeling that one of them was holding back, so there's no way to tell." She said in a skeptical tone, then continued.
"Moving on, their training basically went uninterrupted. At some point, they got into the heat of the moment in their sparring and caused each other to be knocked out from their hits. They were knocked out for an hour, and I got to be honest with you, my Lord, observing those two in their unconscious state was relatively boring." She said with a deadpan tone.
"Once they regained consciousness, they were being treated by strange female-looking creatures I had never seen before. Come to think of it, your enemy has some strange creatures that I had never seen before. They are colorful, somewhat imposing, silly, and for some strange reason, I feel that I should watch out for them. I can't explain why." She says in a confused tone.
"Anyways, once they recovered, they and all those creatures returned to their owner. They all had lunch and proceeded to have small talk, which I couldn't catch anything about what they were talking about. Once they finished consuming their lunch, they resumed their training, which lasted for more hours until the sun was about to set. Then, they headed home, and I called you. Now, we're here. That's the end of my report." Dolores says that she closes her notebook.
"Excellent work Dolores." N.V complimented her think he quickly slouches in disappointment.
"What's wrong my Lord?" Dolores questions as she tilts her head curiously.
"Let me be honest with Dolores: I feel really bad that I've wasted your time with those two. I thought there was something going on with them, and you could uncover some good, juicy secrets, but instead, you just watched a bunch of sweaty guys working out." N.V said disappointingly.
"I'm sorry if you felt disappointed in what I have reported my Lord." Dolores says apologetically.
"Hey, while there isn't anything concrete to use, I'm still going to mess with their day with these," N.V says sadistically as he pulls out a silver ball that has a couple of black holes in it and in his left hand he holds a blue ball that looks like the planet Saturn, and finally an object that looks like a star colored Orange.
"Pray tell my Lord what is that item in your hand?" Dolores asked curiously.
"Dear, these objects hold robots called Anaroids, Batsuroids, and Igaroids. Before I can answer further, when do you plan on doing with this? Have I told you about the labyrinth?" N.V. questioned.
"Frankly my Lord I don't think you ever brought up that name before not even once." She answered.
"Once I think about it, I realize I never really told you what my plans are for this world. Oh well, I'll give you a brief version." He said whimsically as he continued to explain more.
"Ever since Rey showed up, he shook the foundation of how this world is being run and operated. You already know about the secret wars going on between your kind and the life suckers."
"Though I'm aware of my Lord personally, I don't care about the conflicts that go on between my kind or the fangres. It makes no difference who wins in the end. I just want to live my life calm and peaceful, and also to repay him for my debt to you." Dolores says neutrally.
"Happy to know your stances still remain the same when we first met. Anyway, getting back on track, labyrinth is a code name I give to a plan. This plan involves having the rider kill a number of Orphnochs and Fangires. You see, none of these fools are well aware that this rider exists. So, I've been sending random idiots from your kind and from the life suckers to purposely die at the hands of the rider. Just to gather video evidence of his existence and show them the danger he poses. Once they become aware of the danger he is, it will further spread chaos for my sick and twisted amusement." N.V explained. Dolores just looked at him, baffled and astonished.
"Sometimes you're insane to the point that I don't even understand you," Dolores stated.
"I don't expect anyone to. I just thrive on chaos. That's all. And to explain what I'm going to do with these robots, well, I just feel like using them. That's all. And once everything falls into place, I'm planning on selling these robots to Smart Brain, just to annoy him for the fun of it." He said menacingly.
The next day.
We find ourselves back in the same location where we saw Rey's Pokemon huddled together. They all had a look of observation, curiosity, and a slight worry. They are watching Rey and Soma in a deadlock with the boken that were given to Rey yesterday.
When they arrived in the grounds, Soma asked if they were going to do another round of sparring. Rey responded by throwing him his spare boken and told him that today they were going to work on swordsmanship. Soma wasn't against this idea, but he questioned Rey if there was a reason why they were training with wooden swords.
Rey explained that he's a novice at using a sword effectively and he wants someone to help him train to get better at it. Soma understood that he himself has some experience with a sword, although he stated that he prefers knives and daggers over them, but he can wield swords effectively and agreed to train to give Rey whatever pointers he has to help him.
They've been doing this training and practicing for about 2 hours. The first hour was to see what Soma is working with. He was a little bit impressed by what Rey demonstrated. You coming it was not bad for a self-taught learner. During that hour time frame, he managed to give him some points on what to work on. Then, on the second hour, they began their sparring. During this time, they haven't let up. It was getting very intense.
The Pokémon, with the exception of Onibi, who was napping, were watching this sparring match unfold. Some of them were left astonished by how well Soma was holding up with their trainer. A couple of them began to worry, frightened by how intense it was getting, mainly Kaori and Meni.
"Although the match is interesting, I think it's best that we stop both Rey and Soma before they unintentionally hurt themselves or Meni. If you would, please." Meni stood up, lifted her arms, opened her hands, and her eyes began to glow as a light blue aura surrounded her body.
As the guys were about to hit each other, their bodies were suddenly surrounded by a blue aura. Soma was confused, wondering why he couldn't move and why his body was glowing. Rey glanced over to see that it was Meni who had stopped them.
"Relax Soma Meni is using psychic to stop us." Rey calmly said.
"Psychic?" He said confusingly.
"Is it one of her special moves? I'll explain later. Any reason why you stopped us, Meni? Rey questioned. Meni, stop blowing. I see you released your hands. They are the ones that surrounded us, and they also faded."
"Kaori was worried, so she asked me to stop you two from sparring. I think it's a good time for the two of you to take a break, as it's close to lunch time." As she mentioned lunch, it immediately woke up the sleeping giant rodent.
"Who said lunch?" I heard. All the Pokémon, including Rey and Soma, light out of frustration and roll their eyes at Onibi. Right then, both their stomachs start growling.
"Alright, everyone, lunch break," Rey says. Kaori quickly retrieves a yellow container from her backpack, which was hidden behind her, and hands it to me.
"Here's your lunch. I'll handle the distribution of work to everyone myself. Enjoy!" She said tenderly as she went to distribute the food for her fellow Pokémon.
"All right then." Rey said as he opens the container inside the container six sandwiches.
"Alright, today's lunch is just simple turkey ham sandwiches. The sandwiches contain a light coating of mayo, with some lettuce, cheese, and pickles. The main course of the sandwich is turkey ham. Hope you're okay with it?" Rey said nervously.
"That's fine I'm not really a picky eater anything you make is good with me."Soma that he took one of the sandwich and begins to eat it Rey nodded his head he took sandwich for himself and begins to eat it.
There was a brief silence in the air, and it felt a little awkward. So, Rey decided to break the silence and start some small talk. There was a question that had been lingering in his mind for a while, and he figured it was a good time to ask.
"Hey Soma the day when Harumi at Max's Cafe as I was leaving he gave me a cake in an envelope that container thank you letter and money from your boss Taka Max also brought up that you told him everything that happened with us I'm not mad you told him but I do wonder how that conversation happened that led up to everything and what made you decide to stay in Royal woods?" Rey question this has been on his mind ever sense Harumi.
"Wow, it's good to know that you're not upset that I told the boss everything," Soma said, relieved.
When my associate got back from vacation, he was very surprised to see me in Michigan. He asked me what brought me there. I told him that I needed to speak to the boss, which was important. From there, I quickly got in contact with the boss. As soon as he heard my voice, he signed a relief to hear from me, including my partner, Shigeru.
"You have a partner?"
"His name is Shigeru. I'll tell you more about him some other time. The boss asked me where I was and what happened. From there, I began to explain everything that happened. Then I mentioned you and what you can do. Your secret mission. I also told him that you know about our organization and that you are open to cooperating with us." Soma added, finishing a sandwich and grabbing another one, taking a bite out of it.
"The boss asked me if you were trustworthy. I told him you were. I was about to ask if we could help me get back to Japan immediately, but the boss immediately gave me an order, and that order was to stay in Royal Woods to serve as your liaison to our organization." Soma said with a tired sigh.
"I see well that explains-" As Rey is about to finish his sentence multiple laser beams came coming directly at both Rey and Soma before they could react those laser beams were quickly intercepted by Meni as she put up a large bubble like barrier surrounding them quickly all the Pokemon stood behind them ready for a battle.
Rey's eyes widen. Standing in front of them are two creatures. These creatures are black, with some white lines that reach up to their abs. These white lines have a little bit of an orange accent to them, and some red scribbles that reach their abs as well. They have ankle braces that are orange and black, and risk of the same color. Their arms also have the same white, orange, and red scribbling patterns. They have an unusual spiky armor with some silver linings on them. They also have a strange mass that is spiky as well, with orange eyes and some silver markings. One of them has dual swords, and the other has a single sword.
Behind them was an army of 20 strange-looking creatures that bore a striking resemblance to them. Only these creatures had no body armor, only a silver mask with holes and risk, and ankle brands that were silver and black in coloring. They were carrying knives and a weird arm-mounted gun that looked alien.
"Can't believe it! Those are Igaroids and Anaroids!" Rey exclaimed.
"Wait, you know what these things are, Rey!" Soma asked.
"Hey, the orange ones are Igaroids. They are alien robots, highly advanced and super smart. They're the ones I'm more worried about. The lesser army behind them are their counterparts, Androids. They are the weakest and easily destroyed." Rey informed as Meni dispersed the bubble and readied herself for a fight.
"So you know what we are? Good. Save us the trouble." The first Igaroid with the single sword, was the first step up the Pokemon. All stood defensively.
"Listen up, flash bags. Our Lord and master has ordered us to dispose of you all. I don't want to waste any more time talking." Igaroid 01 stated as he points it's sword at the group in front of them.
"ATTACK!" Igaroid 01 shouted Anaroids to march to attack Rey Soma and the Pokemon.
Everyone wasted no time attacking these lesser robots. Soma quickly transformed into his praying mantis Orphnoch form and began to slash away at some of the Anaroids. Quickly, the second Igaroid with dual swords began to attack Soma aggressively. Soma expertly parried all of its strikes.
"You known, you're not the first dual wielder I've ever faced, and you certainly won't be the last!" Soma confidently says.
"Confident bastard, I like it. It'll make me defeating you all the more rewarding," Igaroid 02 said dangerously.
We cut to see Edgar and Ryūsei cutting down a couple of Anaroids with metal claw but more quickly arrived to take their place the two of them smirked and charged forward with their metal claws to destroy them.
Next we cut away to see Kestrel dodging incoming fire from the Anaroid she flew higher and higher to get away from their shots when she's gone to a high point she performs a skydive her body begins to be surrounded by a blue energy that crackled like lightning and fire she swore up slightly upon making contact Anaroid she flew right through them and they explode see turnaround dramatically as she dispersed the energy that surround her and let out a victory screech.
Following Onibi to cut down five Anaroids with a claw made of a ethereal dark purple energy.
"Hey, I'm giving you guys a warning: never interrupt someone during their lunch break!" Onibi warned, glaring dangerously as he cut off the head of Anaroid. Kestrel Edgar and Ryūsei also what Onibi did Kestrel and Ryūsei just gave looks of disappointment while Edgar looked rather frightened.
'You know it's very bothersome. The only thing that gets him angry and moving is when you interrupt him while he's eating.' Ryūsei says within his thoughts.
Moving over, we see Kaori and Meni charging up both an energy ball and an Aura sphere. Having felt they've built up enough power, they launch both of their attacks at the Anaroid, destroying it. In the corner of Kaori's eye, Rey is defending against Igaroid 01 with nothing but his wooden sword. He parries its sword strikes, and both of them were about to jump in to protect their trainer, but then they were bombarded with laser beams coming from the lesser Anaroids. Kaori shifts her attention to them, unleashing a powerful leaf storm to push them away while doing some minor damage.
"I got this covered, dear. You get Rey's driver!" Kaori ordered, Meni knotted it, making a quick dash for the spot where his backpack is. Getting to the backpack in time, she quickly rummaged through it, instantly finding the driver.
Meni glasses back where her trainer is, she sees that Ray is doing very well. He is now dodging every slash that Igaroid 01 is throwing at him. Kaori lifts her right arm, focuses her intention on the robot that is attacking her master. As Igaroid 01 is about to throw another slash, he is suddenly surrounded by the same aura that surrounded both Soma and Rey. He is lifted up into the air, then flown by to the nearest tree.
'I need to reward Meni for using psychic after this.' Rey said proudly within his thoughts.
"Master!" Meni screens brought him out of his thoughts he turns around to where she is.
"Your driver catch!" Meni yells Ashley throws his driver to him immediately catching it and putting it on.
"Thanks, Meni. I owe you one," Rey says gratefully. Meni responds with a smile and a single nod. Then, Rey quickly turns around to see where Meni had thrown Igaroid 01 he spots Igaroid 01 in front of him quickly standing up it quickly spotted his Target and forward to attack Rey.
"It's time for this battle to end." Rey stated as he opened his driver took out two card and insert it one of them in his driver.
"Henshin!" He shouts as he closes his driver.
KAMEN RIDE: DECADE
In a quick flash he is now transformed into his rider form just in time Igaroid was about to strike him down decade quickly grabbed his ride Booker gun mode and aim at it.
ATTACK RIDE: BLAST
Igaroid 01 is bombarded with swarms of bullets coming from the weapon. As a result, he staggers a little bit. Seeing this, Decade quickly switches his weapon to sword mode and proceeds to slash it viciously. In the process, he cuts off its right arm and follows it up with a left uppercut to its chin, causing it to fly upwards. The thing quickly comes down. Igaroid 01 quickly stands up, but before he can do anything, it is suddenly knocked back down by an incoming figure. That figure is Igaroid 02, who was somehow missing both of his arms.
"Get off me, dead weight!" Igaroid 01 exclaimed aggressively as it rudely shoved off Igaroid 02 with its only good remaining hand. It was suddenly encircled by the Pokémon Soma and Decade.
"Think carefully about what you want to do. You are surrounded, and you are missing an arm. Your partner is missing both of them. There's not much you can do especially since we destroyed your army," Ryūsei says as we zoom out to see all of the Anaroid destroyed beyond repair and beyond recognition with several slashes tears Burns holes.
"So I think it's wise for the two of you to cooperate and surrender," Ryūsei bluntly stated.
Before anyone could do or say anything, they were well aware that one of them was noticing a strange cylindrical item coming towards them. As it got close to him, it exploded, releasing a powerful blinding light that enveloped everyone in their vicinity. Then, suddenly, a portal appeared under the robots, and they were sucked in. When the light died down, everyone noticed that the robots were gone.
"Where did those two bucket of bolts go!?" Kestrel angrily asked.
Far away from their line of sight, we see Dolores staying through binoculars. She quickly brings out her phone, dials the number she needs, and holds it up to her ear. It didn't take long for someone to answer.
"Lord, I threw a flash grenade to distract them. Did those machines make it back to your stead safely?" Dolores questioned.
*Yep, the arm was pretty grateful for saving his life. However, the one with the single seven arm was very upset, but I quickly put him in his place.*
"May I ask, my Lord, why you saved those expendable machines? Can't you just conjure up more to replace them?" Dolores asked.
*Yeah, I can, when I was watching their fight through one of my spy drones. An idea popped up into my head when I saw Soma cutting the arms off the Igaroids he was fighting. Short version if he's going to be involved with Rey he needs to have a stake in something and that's where that robot he was fighting comes in. Some planning to reprogram it and make it Soma's rival in Arch enemy. And might as well throw in some drama if I spare the robot that Rey it's fine just to mess with him and cause drama.*
*But that's all you're getting out of me. It's a little complicated, hard to explain. I'm just trying to make drama and give my enemies a hard time.*
"Whatever you are planning, I hope it's worth the gamble, my Lord."
*Oh, it will be Delores. I also like to apologize for calling you at the last minute to help me with those robot survival issues.*
"Sure, my Lord, I have nothing going on today anyway." Dolores said. She didn't see decay transforming back into a civilian form and returning the Pokémon back into their Poké Balls. Soma, now in his human form, followed Rey out of the forest.
"My Lord our targets are leaving the area should I follow them?"
*Negative Dolores let them be. The robot I got what I needed for today, so there's no reason to pursue any further.*
"Are you also wishing for me to recover the destroyed robots in the area?" Dolores asked. She feels that these machines should not be left alone for several reasons. For example, watching them told her that these were highly advanced machines, and the technology could be valuable. She has a feeling that our Lord doesn't want anyone to have these machines just yet.
*No let them be. I have a gut feeling that either Rey or Soma will come by and pick up the leftovers. They can do whatever they want with them. They are damaged beyond repair anyways.*
"If you insist my Lord now if you would be so kind can you summon a portal so I can go back home now please." Dolores said in a almost demanding voice.
We find ourselves back at the Loud house. We see Rey parking his bike on the driveway. Rey looks a bit tired and exhausted. One of the bags of his swords nearly slid off, but he quickly grabbed it.
'Ah..Home sweet home, wouldn't you agree boss." Onibi said happily to be back this house.
"I wouldn't go that far sometimes don't feel like I deserve to be here." Rey commented.
'Sir, I must ask him. Are you certain it is wise to leave those robotic nuisances to be left in the forest to collect rust?' Ryūsei question.
"Fine, Soma says he's going to pick them up. He mentioned he knows someone within the organization. They'll be interested in Anaroids," Rey added as he walked to the front door. He did a quick stretch and opened the door have you opened that he sees all the Loud siblings minus Lola not being with them all having long faces having an idea what happened.
'Well looks like Lola took the fall for her siblings.' Rey said within his thoughts.
"Hey y'all I'm back what's with the long faces?" Rey asked grabbing the siblings attention.
"Hey Rey welcome back." They all said in unison.
"Wow you look a little worn out what happened and what's with the long bags out there?" LJ asked pointing out that the expression he has and his clothes looking a little bit tired and questioning the items he has around his shoulder is where his backpack is strapped.
"Oh these bags that are next to my backpack don't worry about it and what happened to me I kind of got a little bit carried away with my friend when we were working out together but that's not important what I want to know is why y'all have long faces?" Rey asked even though he knows what happened he asked again simply because to follow through and what troubled them.
One explanation later.
"Okay, I get the picture. I'm surprised she took the fall for you guys as a way to earn some of your trust," Rey said with an honest astonishment in his voice, though he knew that in the events that transpired, along with his Lola's actions, still surprised him.
"Hey kids, let your parents know that I'm here. I'm going to go say hi to Lola and see how she's doing, possibly." Rey says as he sets his stuff down and heads upstairs. Then, he turns right and is standing in front of the door of the twins. He proceeds to knock on the door a couple of times.
"Who is it?" The voice of Lola could be heard sounding a little bit down.
"Hey Lola it's me Rey is it okay if you don't mind I'm coming in." Rey give a heads up as he opened the door he sees Lola laying down on her bed.
"Hey Lola how you been?" He asked rhetorically.
"I've been better and you?" Lola asked.
"Today was rough, but it turned out okay. When I came back, I saw your sibling looking a bit down. They filled me in on what happened. Got to say, what you did to your siblings was a little bit scummy. But you surprised me when you took the fall for their mistakes." He said, still holding on to that surprised tone.
"Also, they told me why you did it. They got me, Lola. I understand how you feel and why you did it. Honestly, I did the same thing, too." Rey shared. Lola's eyes welled up, and she sat up to look at Ray.
"Did you do the same thing I did?" Lola said, confused.
"Although I understand why they didn't include you in their secret club because you're a tattletale, I'm not judging you for it. Heck, I used to be a tattletale myself." Rey scratches his head sleepily.
"You were a tattletale too." Rey responding with a single nod.
"When, I was much younger. I won't go into much detail about it, though. Let's just say my tattletale habit got so bad that I nearly ruined someone's life and nearly destroyed a friendship. But that's a story for another day." Rey looked away, a guilty expression appearing on his face. But he quickly shook it off.
"Anyhow Lola, the only one I ever told a little bit about my old life and family was Leni." Lola is surprised to hear this, she's even more surprised that Rey would share something with her.
"You told Leni about your family how did this happen? I'm surprised she didn't say anything you shared." Lola said skeptically.
"I won't go into details how that happened. That incident stays between us and only us. I made her swear to not tell anyone anything about myself or my family. That is all. And I'm happy she didn't say anything at all. It proves to me that she can hold a secret when you say the right words to her and when you put a little faith in her." Rey said proudly. Lola was less stunned, but she quickly got over it and gave him a snarky look.
"Okay, but don't come crying to me when she accidentally says something personal about you," Lola warned.
"Say, what you will. I have full trust in Leni. Which reminded me you and the rest of your sisters need to stop underestimating and undermining Leni. She's not that clueless or dumb." Rey said this to Claire menacingly, which caused Lola to quiver.
"O-okay I won't s-say any more mean things to Leni." Lola said frightenly Rey stare at her for a moment he close his eyes and releases a small sigh.
"Anyway, we're getting off-topic with this conversation. I did something similar to you with my brother and cousins. I won't bore you with the details since what happened to me is practically the same as what happened to you. My situation has some minor differences, but again, I'm not going to go into detail about it." Rey said.
"Anyway, the reason I'm telling you this is because, well, I just want to let you know that you're not alone. I know what it feels like to want to be close to your siblings and be a part of something they're all doing. They may not trust you, but I'm telling you this because I'm willing to take a gamble and trust you with something personal about me." Rey added, happy slap, this is she, a couple of times, which surprised Lola.
"If you like come to me if you ever feel left out or excluded, Lola. I'll hang out with you," Rey said with a smile, causing Lola to gasp.
"Really, you mean that?" Lola beamed hopefully.
"Of course, the reason I'm offering is because, well, most of your siblings might be busy with other things, and I have nothing going on right now, so I'm free. Although there will be times when I need to meet with friends, like I've been doing for the past few days, but at the moment, if you need anything, I'm available. And, not to brag, but I like to play pretend, and I can play the role of a butler quite well." Rey said in a minor dramatic fashion, which caused Lola to giggle a little bit.
"Will you accept my offer, Lola?" Rey extended his hand to Lola, who didn't have to grab his hand and shake it.
"Thank you, Rey!" Lola said excitedly, letting go of his hand.
"Excellent. This chat was nice, Lola. But I need to change out of these gym clothes. I'm also planning to help your father in the kitchen today, so that's all I have to offer for now. If you're grounded and can go to the kitchen to join us for dinner, I'll be happy to deliver your dinner. Okay, well, I'll see you in a little bit." Rey said as he heads for the door of their room, quickly opening it and closing it, then proceeds ahead to the bathroom.
'Was it really unusual for you, boss, to be so nice to the brat? What compelled you to be so chatty with her?' Kestrel asked.
"An incident with my brother and cousins really did happen to me years ago. I just want to tell Lola that and let her know that she's not alone and that she has someone who can empathize with her a little bit. I'll be honest: what she did was pretty scummy, but I don't blame her for it because I've been there before and I know what it's like to be excluded and not trusted." Rey said sympathetically.
"Although I know there was not much I could do or add to this whole situation, I wish there was more I could have said. I just want to tell her what I need to say." Rey commented as he reached for the bathroom door, opened it, and entered.
Elsewhere, we find ourselves late at night in London at a park called Hampstead Heath, known for its natural beauty and many other things. We see a woman sitting on a bench, admiring the city. The woman has long, blood-red hair, a red tank top, jeans, and black boots.
"Here, there are many wonderful sights and views, especially late at night when it's very peaceful and not many people are around to disturb you. It's also a good place to eliminate unwanted guests and stalkers." She said calmly, with a slight bit of coolness. She looked down at the bench, where a man was lying, covered in blood and multiple stab wounds.
"Isn't it cute that you bounty Hunter associates thought you had a chance to kill me? But it was not meant to be. Your associates went down easily, but you, I saved for last because I like men who can stand tall and defiant. It's pretty fun to break men like you." The woman said sadistically as she stands up and violently grabs him by the back of his throat, directing him in front of the city view.
"Look at the city in front of you. It's beautiful, isn't it? So beautiful at night that you can stare at it forever. But too bad for you, this is the last thing you'll ever see as I drain away your measly little life. Don't worry, my fellow Fangre, your life force will be put to good use, I assure you." The red-haired woman said coldly, as scarlet red stained glass marks appeared on her face, and a pair of transparent, jagged, fang-like pincers materialized behind her.
She let's go of him for a brief moment, only to be caught by the jagged, pencil-like fangs. The man gasped as his life was being drained away. His skin has now become transparent, and instantly, his body shatters, leaving nothing but his clothes.
"That was a good late-night snack. Well, that's out of the way. I think it's about time I go pay a visit to Rufus. I wonder what he's doing. Okay, and I hope he doesn't mind my late visit." The woman said whimsically as she leaves her spot to meet with a friend of hers.
There we go, all finished. I think the conversation Rey had with Lola could have been better, and I hope that last scene of the story was satisfactory.
The character I'm introducing is from an older fanfic that I've worked on, and she was one of my favorite individuals to write I consider her to be the most dangerous individual that Rey whatever encounter. I won't say much about what's going to happen, but I will say that this next chapter, which, is one I've been waiting to write for a while now. This is the moment where everything begins to change and things will be getting a little bit more serious from moving on forward. I hope everyone will be excited.
Also, to address something: Rey won't be getting any "helmet list" scenes unless the enemy he's fighting means business to the point where a piece of his helmet gets shattered. And I already ideas and enemies I've created to cause those things to happen.
When and where it's going to happen, I can't say. Anyways, I hope everyone has enjoyed the chapter so far and that I did a good job running it.
