"Right.", Thomas nodded as he started to help her. "Mr. Wayne, again... I can't be sure yet, so don't break out the champagne just yet... let's wait a few days to start and see if it works, and hopefully no ill side effects.", Leslie reminded as Thomas nodded.

"Of course, not the only doctor here...", Thomas gave a small chuckle before he went to get Martha's clothing. He was going to have to strip her naked and then get her redressed since he didn't want to take the risk of leaving that lab outfit she had to wear lying around the manor.

Especially with the fact that the lab outfit would have been touched by the gamma rays, and there's no way he is going to harm Alfred, the staff, or especially Bruce like that.

"You're lucky that you're her husband otherwise I have a feeling that she'd be embarrassed and upset.", Leslie commented, and Thomas nodded, "Indeed.", as it was beyond a relief that Bruce hadn't gotten curious about their adult activities through the years before she got unable to, thanks to the disease, as he heard a few embarrassing stories from his doctor friends at John Hopkins and such.

It was a swift 10 minutes before Martha was ready for the outside chill, through Thomas would carry her warmly and protectively, and he glanced at Leslie, "Be careful, Leslie. You sure you would erase the evidence?".

Leslie smirked, "Trust me, I had practice, thanks to my prior tests and such. But I'll be careful all the same. You take care of your wife, Mr. Wayne.", and Thomas nodded, "I will...Thank you, Dr. Thompkins.", giving her the respect with a smile of his own before carefully watching the coast as he left the lab, taking the darkened shortcuts back to a corner of the parking lot outside, and signaled Alfred from the distance when he saw the couple, and the limo quickly went on its way, out of the parking lot, away from Wayne Entreprises, and Thomas soon heaved in relief as there was no cops or such in the direction of the company.

Several minutes later, Thomas felt Martha's breaths changing, and heard a raspy, hoarse voice whisper, "T-Thomas?", and he looked down to see Martha's familiar brown eyes half open as she blinked, "W-what h-happened?".

"You screamed almost non-stop...", Thomas admitted. "But... got through it all. We're in the car now again, on the way back home. How are you feeling?", he asked as he gently brushed her hair.

"About as bad as I did before some of those vials...", Martha admitted. "Am... am I still alive?", she had to ask. "So far... Dr. Thompkins thinks maybe it worked. We'll... we'll still have to wait and see...", Thomas admitted as Martha gave a small smile while taking some relaxing breaths. The pain and terrible feeling she were having was actually slowly receding.

Thomas held her in his arms a bit closer as he leaned down to kiss her on the lips, "I thought I...I was...God, it hurt so much to hear you scream like that. I love you so damn much, Martha...".

Martha replied softly, "I really tried to think of you, of our son, of our friends in Alfred and Leslie, all those memories through the pain but I couldn't think when the pain got more...I'm so sore everywhere...I love you very much, Thomas...", sighing as she felt Thomas's hand rubbing her back, showing that he's listening, easing a bit of her soreness away.

Thomas gave a loving smile, "You have no idea how much that makes me feel, to hear that from your lips after...", resting his forehead on her forehead, and she whispered, her hand gently caressing through the nape of his hair, "I scared you really bad, haven't I?".

"Like you wouldn't believe...", Thomas said as she smiled. "Well, I'll try not to scare you like that again... no matter how much time we have left...", Martha told him. Right now, she still was under the mindset that she didn't have much time left. Until it was truly proven that she was going to survive; to recover, she wasn't going to change that.

Thomas nodded softly, knowing that Martha would rather die quietly and peacefully than anything else as it's much easier that way, and kissed her forehead, "I know...You're probably still really exhausted...Rest...Just doze away...I'm right here, okay? Alfred will let us know when we're almost home...".

"Can...can we check on Bruce on the way to bed?", Martha asked softly, and Thomas nodded, "I ain't stopping you there...I'll never leave your side, Martha...", with a small smile.

"Thank you..." She whispered as she closed her eyes, hopeful that maybe he was right and that all she needed was a lot of rest to slowly recover from the year long illness that nearly wasted her away.

It was a quiet arrival back to Wayne Manor before Thomas walked in holding Martha bridal style, while Bruce was waiting, sitting on the main stairwell. "You still up?", Thomas asked him as he nodded. "I... I overheard you talking about treating Mommy's illness...", Bruce said.

Thomas replied, "Should have known that you got your mother's stubbornness even after we tired you out all day...", as Bruce blushed, "Sorry, Daddy...Is Mommy...?".

"She's very tired, son, she just needs a lot of rest to recover. Am I to guess that you don't want to leave her alone too, hmm, as you want a sleepover again?", Thomas asked gently, and Bruce replied with a nod.

Thomas smiled at him warmly, "Come on...It's way far past your bedtime, young man. I think your mother would appreciate seeing you as soon as she realizes that she's home...", as he started to walk up the stairs with Bruce joining by his side, his hand holding into Martha's winter outer garment.

The two of them headed upstairs before Thomas took her to their room and laid her on the bed, "Might be better to let her rest for now... it... it wasn't a pleasant experience.".

"Is she... is she not going to die now?", Bruce asked as Thomas shook his head, "I don't know... we'll have to wait and see... I have to hope so, but... we just have to wait...".

Bruce nodded before gently getting up into the bed, keeping just of his mother's side, tucking under the sheets, almost immediately falling asleep as Thomas smiled warmly at the tender scene, changing his clothes into pajamas, glad that Alfred helped take off the outer winter garments from Martha after they got into the manor quietly by way of the Wayne garage, but she still is in her day clothes, yet he doesn't want to wake her up for changing into pajamas when she needs to rest.

He then went to bed, on Martha's other side, with both of the boys surrounding Martha from either side, keeping her warm and loved, and so, the night passed into a late morning, with Alfred giving the excuse to the staff that Thomas just wants a day with his family, hence sleeping in and all.

Martha, feeling the sun through the bedroom windows, fluttered her eyes, and smiled as she discovered her boys cuddling and surrounding her. She still feels very much sore, but she's somehow feeling stronger, to take a short stroll through the manor before perhaps reading in the library with a good book, realizing that she has to take baby steps while resting for the next few weeks if the soreness and pain level is the indication to go by, slowly receding.

"Mommy? Are you smiling because we're here, not leaving you alone, or that you're feeling better?", Bruce's quiet yet hopeful voice asked, and she glanced down to see her baby boy's set of dark blue eyes looking at her inquisitively yet shyly, and she replied, "Both, I think...I'm here, darling...And what are you doing here?', her hand familiarly caressing through her son's bed-ruffled hair.

Bruce blushed, "I...I overheard Daddy about something hopefully healing you...I tried to sleep, but when I saw that you and Daddy were out with Alfred when I couldn't find him either, I decided to stay up and wait...Daddy was okay with another sleepover as long as we didn't bother you as you needed the rest, Mommy...Are...are you really recovering for real?".

Martha thought about it for a moment. Somehow, someway her body was telling her that it was getting better, but she knew better than to trust her own body at times. After all, she trusted it before that she only had a simple illness early on and look how that turned out. Still, part of her felt better than she had in many ways in over a year.

"I don't know, Bruce.", Martha told him. "I mean... I feel like it but who knows... might need some time to be sure...". Bruce blinked, "Oh...".

Martha kissed his forehead, "Doesn't mean that I can't do anything...Now, why don't you find Alfred or get to the kitchen to tell Chef Kirk to get on a late brunch for us, okay? I would need some substance in me if I were to have a short stroll to the library a bit later and perhaps, play a game of chess or say, read a story with you?", with a warm smile.

"Really?!", Bruce's smile widened, and Martha nodded, "You heard me. But do not be too excited...I have to take baby steps to help me gain my strength and energy, like how I was before I got sick, between bouts of heavy resting, understand?", with a patient, tender smile, feeling Thomas shift besides her on the other side, showing that he's waking up.

Bruce nodded his head in excitement as he headed out, leaving her alone for a moment to herself as she took a few deep breaths to look at herself. Was she getting better? Did it actually work? She had to be, right? She hadn't felt this good in so many months even if she still was feeling fairly low at moments. She turned her attention to the mirror that was near her so she could better look at herself.

Indeed, her cheeks had gained more color than ever, and her eyes are bright and healthy, and her hair, even if mussed, is somehow a bit more vibrant than ever, and she then blinked as she realized that she slept in her inner winter garments, realizing that Thomas hadn't changed her into pajamas, perhaps because of Bruce nearby.

"You look heaps better than even when you were stable with the vials, Martha...This almost reminds me of our mornings together in bed before we would go down to have breakfast together, to greet Bruce as he hugs us...How are you feeling?", Thomas's warm, slightly sleepy voice replied.

Martha looked over to see Thomas stretching, gazing over her with that tender, familiar look, wiping off the sleep dust, and she smiled, "Better. But better to wait and see, but I feel like I can still do things, just between heavy resting, like those mid-year months before the disease got worse...", leaning in to kiss him on the lips, soaking into the moment, resting her hands on his shoulders.

"I must say though, you're honestly showing yourself looking a lot better as of late.", Thomas said as she sighed. "We thought that a few times before with some of the other treatments and that was only a fleeting moment.", Martha reminded.

"Still, something about all this... I don't know...", Thomas said as she took a deep breath, "Who knows, not right yet, results and all. Um, Thomas, can you go check on Bruce and help him while I get myself ready, I've been sleeping in this stuff all night...".

Thomas nodded at her request, "You sure you'll be okay on your own?". Martha smiled to reassure him. "Sure, for a few minutes at least but do hurry back.", she told him.

Thomas nodded, and kissed her again on the lips before leaving the bed, not caring about the pajamas as he just wanted to be home with his family, and headed out as Martha carefully got out of bed, stripping, and looked at herself a bit better, realizing that the same color has returned to the rest of herself, and she had to admit that her assets are looking a bit more healthier as well.

She hopes that she will have more energy and healthier aspects like gaining her figure back to proper size, not that she was super thin or anything since the protein vials and her bouts of brief energy around there had helped her gain some muscle and weight back.

She then went to get dressed, intending to spend the day the best she could between the plan of the library, maybe a couple of other things to enjoy with Bruce between resting and all, and so, the next two weeks were spent like that, with the family realizing with joy and shock that Martha is getting back to her old self, with the manor happily seeing her racing barefoot with her son, and having romantic dates out on the patio and such with Thomas.

Leslie, after checking blood samples, couldn't find anything wrong, and was happy to declare that the Alderson's Disease was completely gone, and it wouldn't return for a recurrence at all, and she was a bit confused at how Martha was recovering so well, but went with it as she'd take a miracle over this than anything.

Upon hearing the happy news in the third week which was the first week of February, Martha was finally back to her old self with her spirit in full speed, and of course, it meant congratulating properly with plans for Bruce's birthday weekend of the third week in February as his birthday was on Monday, and of course, celebrating with Thomas as her sexual drive climbed here and there through the recovery, with amounts of making out and pleasure time, and now after the news of being completely clear the first day, she was intent to get Thomas to claim her the old-fashioned way, and so, like before she got sick, while Bruce was at school and the staff out on their duties and chores, the couple went to rekindle their passion of lovemaking, with Thomas discovering that Martha was more vigorous than ever, much to some surprised confusion, but went with it as it doesn't seem to bother Martha badly other than satisfying her with a stamina he didn't know he had until now, and he's beyond happy to see her taking pleasure than pain anyhow.

Martha shouted in pleasure, "Yes, Thomas! Ohh! Right there!", hair sweltered with sweat and such as Thomas huskily kissed her neck, "You are really going to make me dry one of those days...You're lucky that you are so beautiful!", as he pounded into her.

Martha smiled, teasing him, "Oh, are you getting upset that I can last longer than before, or that this is the fourth round today?", and Thomas grinned, "Upset? Martha, if you are this insatiable, I'm glad that I am here to make it right, just like the other day, and the day before that, and so on...Just please tell me that you are happy...", as he looked at her.

Giggling, "You are so lucky you are so handsome too, but alright, yes, I'm happy that you are making this so perfect for me...Now, fill me, my wonderful husband!", Martha smiled and then demanded.

"You got it, my incredible wife!", Thomas smirked as he grunted, pounding faster and harder as Martha shouted in pleasure, "Yes, yes! Oh! OH! Yes, you're making me so damn close!", as Thomas shouted, "So tight! Oh!", moaning and grunting in pleasure, "So good! I love you, Martha!".

Martha shouted louder, "I love you too, Thomas!", before she came, clenching hard around Thomas as he kept pounding, "Looks like we're going double-time for you, again.", with a smirk, and Martha smirked, panting, "Better be a big load this time if I'm coming twice...", as she was not surprised by her second orgasm coming minutes after her first orgasm in a round as it happened a few times already over the other past days as she cried out in pleasure then, welcoming the increasingly passionate thrusts, "Oh!".

Thomas grinned, looking into her eyes, "Oh, believe it, I've been waiting for this like the past few rounds...I'm loving this side of you, Martha...", feeling that he's going to release in a minute as he had been holding back hard the past several minutes.

"Mom, are you okay?! Is the sickness back? Dad, what are you doing to Mom? Are you hurting or helping Mom?", Bruce's voice called out before inquiring as the door opened, revealing Bruce running in and then freezing in confusion and shock with a veiled bit of protectiveness, his hand holding a graded test and apparently have come from school, with the couple forgetting in their passion that they didn't know of the time as Thomas came hard in their surprise and horror, with Martha trying to not alarm Bruce with her shout of pleasure as her second orgasm came, with Thomas trying to not shout out in pleasure in unison to let himself go, their hands trying to grab the blankets closer to hide their bodies, but it wasn't quite in time.
