"9-1-1 what's your emergency?"
That was the last thing Marc heard before passing out, blood all over himself, tears flowing as Tony was crying, holding him. Marc's body trembled with the weight of the intense emotions that flooded through him. His heart pounded against his chest, each beat a painful reminder of the chaos that had unfolded before his eyes. The metallic scent of blood filled his nostrils, mixing with the salty taste of tears that stained his lips. His body felt weak, drained of all strength as if the weight of the world was resting upon him.
Tony's cries echoed in Marc's ears, piercing through the haze of his fading consciousness. He could feel the warmth of Tony's tears on his skin, mingling with the sticky residue of his blood. The touch of Tony's trembling hands against his body was both comforting and agonizing, a stark reminder of the fragility of life. As darkness enveloped Marc's vision, his mind became fragmented thoughts and memories.
He desperately tried to grasp a sense of clarity, but the overwhelming emotions consumed him, pulling him deeper into the abyss of unconsciousness.
Megan and Lee both came running out to the outdoor pool to find their younger siblings, bloody, bruised, and with no sign of the person who did this to them.
"TONY! TONY! OH MY GODDD MARCCC!"
But all Marc heard was pure white noise as Marc's bleeding body and now the blood was onto himself, Tony felt lightweight, Tony felt sick...
Tony passed out, holding Marc's body, along with the phone in his hand, as Lee ran over to them.
There were still outfits on them from the hospital, and Lee finished the 9-1-1 call crying as Megan held her twin's body, crying and screaming as Lee was texting Jerry what happened, still wearing the clothes they had been given.
"I wasn't trained for this, I wasn't trained for this, I wasn't trained for this, I wasn't trained for-"
"MARC!"
Megan and Lee turned around to see Tami rushing out, to her horror, see Marc's bleeding body,as Lee held her from going too close to the body.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry Marc..."
*Sobs*
Megan glared at Tami with a mix of concern and frustration, her eyes fixed on the girl's pale face buried in Lee's comforting embrace and him rubbing his hand on her head. Lee gently rubbed Tami's back, offering silent support as she sought solace in his comforting presence. Meanwhile, the surrounding adults were urgently calling for help, their voices filled with a sense of urgency and worry. The scene was fraught with tension, and Megan's emotions were a whirlwind as she grappled with the gravity of the situation.
"Tami, it's ok, it's best to back away, alright? Help is coming, if you want, you can go to the hospital with us."Lee suggested, as Tami nodded, wiping a tear away.
Marc's breathing grew shallow, his chest rising and falling in sync with the ebb and flow of his fading consciousness. Time became distorted, moments blending together in a disorienting blur. In that fleeting moment before succumbing to the darkness, Marc's mind clung to the sound of Tony's cries. It was a haunting melody that resonated within him, a poignant reminder of the bonds they shared. Despite the turmoil that surrounded them, Marc found solace in the fact that they were not alone, that they would face whatever came next together.
And as Marc slipped further into the oblivion of unconsciousness, he held onto that glimmer of hope, praying that when he awoke, they would find themselves in a place of healing and recovery, far away from the anguish that had brought them to this point.
(Flashback, Marc is 5 and Lee is 6)
"Marc! Why can't go with you?"
"You will embarrass me!"
It was a crisp, sunny day in the vibrant colors of fall when Lee, Marc, and Megan were going to visit the zoo. Their parents had been planning this outing for weeks, and the anticipation grew stronger as the day approached. As they met at the entrance, their smiles mirrored their excitement for the adventure that awaited them. They chatted animatedly as they strolled through the gates, eager to embark on their zoo exploration and encounter the diverse array of fascinating animals that awaited them.
"Don't follow me, Lee!" Marc shouted, as Cal and Karen just stared at the two and continued fighting.
"How can I embarrass you?"
" You always do, Mom, make it stop!"
"Aww, Marc is calling me embarrassing, he needs Mom to stop me."
"QUIT IT!"
"BITE ME"
"Look at what you two did! Megan is crying!"Karen yelled as she was holding 5-year-old Megan in her arms, sobbing loudly, rubbing her eyes as she turned to look at her two brothers fighting, green eyes filled with redness and tears.
Marc and Lee stopped fighting, and Marc felt guilty for causing Megan to cry. Lee patted Megan's arm, wiping her tears away. He leaned in and whispered,"I'm sorry, Megan. I didn't mean to make you cry. Let's all go get ice cream and talk about it."
"I like the sound of that!"
Marc and Lee ran, laughing and giggling as they went. Cal and Karen watched them, their faces full of amusement as they watched as Cal, Karen, and Megan laughed. Megan hugged Marc, thanking him for such a great brother to her.
(End of Flashback)
"NOOOOOOOOO"Megan was holding her brother's bloody body in her hands, shaking as her other half, twin flame, her other moon, her best friend, was bleeding out, as the paramedics came, everything was in slow- motion, as Megan stepped away from Marc, as Lee was hugging her."This is the worst mission ever."Lee mumbled into Megan's shoulder, as Megan nodded.
Tami was crying uncontrollably, Megan clung to Lee's body, feeling the weight of her loss crush her soul. The paramedics asked if Megan and Lee would ride with them, Megan with tears in her eyes said yes. Tony walked over to talk to Megan and Lee, seeing as they might get a ride to the hospital along with their brother.
"I like the sound of that. Just sitting next to him, talking to him, he's gonna be ok."
Lee's eyes were watery from everything, bt smiled at that.
Tony walked over to Megan and Lee, placing a comforting hand on Megan's shoulder."I'll be right here with you, Megan,"he said softly."We'll get through this together. It will always be the four of us."
Tony hugged Megan for a few moments before Tami called him back.
"I'll be riding with them in the ambulance car, it's best if you join us later."
"Of course, you do that,"Tami's tears were swelling up in her throat, her blonde hair was messy in a braid and her sweet blue eyes were red and sad, getting all over her blue romper, there was no life inside of them. Tony bent down to hug her, as he whispered in her ear.
"Marc has been in love with you for a long time, he's so jealous of Lee, it's diabolical, but he thinks of you as his star; shining brighter than others, the nicest one to study, for years to come. He wants you to stay strong for him, he forgives you. Marc will always be here for you too."
Tami smiled, even though she was crying, she was still pretty. The wasian girl hung her head on Tony's shoulder.
"I forgive you. Dont worry. You're not that mean, I've dealt with meaner people in my life."Tony commented, squeezing the girl harder into the hug.
As Megan was hugging Lee, she didn't notice that Tami was there, sobbing in Tony's arms, over Marc.
Megan squinted her eyes, as that blondie was..hoving herself ontoherbrother.
Tami was sobbing, Tony was rubbing her arm, telling her things would be fine, and she didn't need to over-apologize, and Marc would want her to smile.
Tami. Was. Crying.
Megan's anger returned, pushing Lee away and Megan started to walk over, for round two, she would not hesitate to put Tami in a coma, but something stopped her; she thought of Marc, as of now he's bleeding, he's been shot at, the last thing you should do is cause any more drama, and add any more tension, and Lee was also gripping her arm.
"Not now. Please not now."
"I will only let this slide. Just this once."
