[Alright, anotha chaptah, also, I got hit by a car :) I'm okay tho. Walked away with a scrape and a bruise]
(Chapter 27)
So, I don't know my face is fucked up, I'm having an annoying conversation with Megadonk, and I wake up with a new and improved jaw, which is definitely an improvement. There's some extra bread crumbs along the way, but I don't feel like spoiling surprises … at the moment.
—--
I blinked a couple of times to get my bearings, all too aware of the Warlord that's waiting for my answer. I lightly chew on my bottom lip and cross my arms, lightly tapping my fingers on one of my arms as I thought about how I wanted to answer. Anything I might say will put me at risk since I made the dumbass mistake of going off on him like some Oracle the last time I was here, which, my bad by the way.
"To answer your first demand, you blew up. I'm pretty sure you can remember that. For your second, I don't have an answer for that."
I do have an answer for that. It was that damn shard that I cut my hand on. And I'm pretty sure it connected me to him since this was the same shard that had previously resided in his chassis, and honestly, gross. The fact that that Dark Energon shard was inside him and the fact that I touched it grossed me out.
I pointed at him quickly once I saw a flicker of irritation cross his faceplates.
"You can't expect me to know everything."
His brows raised, one of them higher than the other, and his helm slightly tilted to the side. He looked like he wasn't taking my bull. Not good, but at this point I'm starting to not care as much. I'll still be careful, I guarantee you, I'm just gonna be a little careless. Not around him though.
"And yet you know of my future failures."
I lightly choked on my spit. I cleared my throat and lightly shrugged my shoulders. I attempted to speak-
"Well-"
But I was shot down as Megatron began to stroll towards me, his voice raised, not at the volume of angered yelling, but to catch my attention and basically make me shut up.
"You've known the moment our paths crossed. For that, I should obliterate you."
He loomed over me, dangerously close. I had to lean back some when he had slowly leaned down, his faceplates right in front of my own face. I blinked rapidly and my breathing picked up some as I felt a flash of adrenaline course through me, my mind fogged with thoughts of 'what ifs'.
Turns out, I didn't need to worry.
"But, you have your uses."
I made a slight grimacing expression, raising one of my servos to push him back by his chassis. Don't worry, it wasn't a full on push. It was more of a nudge. You think I would push him and not expect repercussions? Nah. I ain't that deranged.
I walked around him after nudging him away, away from the cliff that I was all too aware that he could push me off of, which, despite this being a dream, will be terrifying. Being pushed off a cliff and falling is terrible in dream conditions. I don't particularly like the feeling of falling dreams. Feels like my heart is chilled and my intestines are swirling about.
"I may have my 'uses', but if you think I'm giving you valuable information, I gotta say honey, you're dead wrong."
His optics and helm slowly followed after my retreat around him, his gaze as intense as the day I first met him.
His expression shifted into that of a rage filled scowl.
"May I inquire why."
Him and his demands. He practically runs on them.
He slowly turns around to fully face me, his stance slightly hunched, as he always ended up when he was mad, and his emp field crackling with thinly veiled anger that was directed at me with full force.
I winced slightly at the feeling of his anger. It felt like it was a furnace, a flaming furnace that keeps rising in temperature and lethalness. Not a good feeling to be around.
My answer better save my ass.
"If there is a disruption in the timeline there may cause irreversible damage. And might I add, I really don't think you want this reality to implode on itself."
Which can happen if things don't go as carefully as possible, but he doesn't need to know that nor do I want him to figure that out. Him even knowing that I know what happens in the future has probably already caused some problems. I don't know what, but I also don't want to find out.
I took an extra measure and took a couple steps back, my servos slightly in front of my chassis just in case he decided he didn't like the answer I gave and jumps at me.
He growled as he looked like he was thinking it over, his slouched frame straightening. He put his servos behind his back and it looked like he had a slight devious glint in his optics, which is kinda freaky by the way.
"Then find a loophole. I'm sure you've found more than one while in my presence."
God-fucking-damnit. He's gonna persist till I'm going to agree, I already know it.
I huffed and put my hands together, closing my eyes and took a deep breath, bringing my hands up to cover my nose. I breathed out heavily as I opened my eyes and pointed at him with both of my hands.
"I don't think you know the severity of this situation-"
He took a sudden half ass lunge at me, making me flinch back as he snarled. My eyes had slightly widened, blinking slightly quick, and taking a sudden inhale of breath. I didn't expect that.
"I know that you're aware that your life is at stake, so take caution for your future actions as well as your tongue, should you wish to keep it!"
…Hookay. Haven't dealt with a real threat from him in a loong while.
I cleared my throat and took a few steps back just so that I could have a larger amount of space in between us. He could very much grab me, and knowing that I can feel pain here makes that a huge no for me, if you hadn't noticed.
I slicked my hair back with one of my servos, carefully since my digits could very much slice through my scalp. I sharply exhale through my nose and I shook my head, my mind flooding with different ways I could go around what he wanted undetected and still achieve some of the goals I've put on myself.
"Okay. Fine. But, if you get mad about something, and it's totally out of my control, you have to understand that there will be consequences. This is not a small matter, at all."
I don't even know if reality itself will implode here. All I know is that I'm taking extra precautions and I'm slightly fucking with him. Somebody's gotta do it. Really, did any of you not expect me to resort to being manipulative? And he's so easy. If anything or anyone seems like it'd benefit him in any way or seems like a power grab he's gonna tweak and do anything he can to get his grubby servos on them.
This situation could make me laugh honestly, but let's hope back into the present. Also, just so you know, I'm not exactly scared or intimidated of him much anymore, but he does unnerve and surprise me the most. He's fucking weird sometimes. Not even sometimes! Most of the time! Okay. Seriously now.
He lightly grumbles under his venting, having taken a step back himself. He looks to the side, his faceplates still slightly scrunched up, but not as harsh as it was previously. He looked back at me and narrowed his optics, not really a glare per say, but it was definitely a hard look.
"I will consider it."
I nodded and right before I was about to add a comment, a searing pain spread from one side to the other. I felt the back of my eyes warming up to a nearly painful amount. I brought one of my servos up to my jaw to lightly touch it, my jaw having fallen open earlier, now almost heavily panting that sounded close to heaving.
I lightly touched my jaw shakily panting now as I brought my hand back and saw blood. I quickly looked back up at Megatron and he only looked on in curiosity. I looked back down at my blood covered digits and looked down further when I noticed that the blood was dripping down father, blood dripping down my chassis and abdomen, falling to the floor and lightly flooding at my feet.
My jaw felt suspiciously, and severely loose.

(Different POV)
Knockout was working overtime to try and stop the bleeding, Ven's jaw having a multitude of torn ligaments and multiple shattered areas of bone. He wasn't aware of what to do or how to fix a human, having never studied much like he told Ven in he did in the first place. He massively regretted it now.
He was worried sick, as was the entire ship. At some point he had to station Breakdown and Soundwave at the entrance of the med-bay just so that soldiers would stop trying to see the condition of their leader, which was vexing since Ven's condition was greatly concerning. Starscream was the worst though and he could feel his regret engulf him further. He shook himself out of it and brung his attention back to the present.
Their bones, while human in standards, had been reformed, their bones now a silvery white, holding more weight and more strength than that of a normal human skeleton. He studied some.
He was currently surfing the web. He had only a small portion of information that he could recall in his memory.
He was sure that Ven would obliterate him if he let anyone find out. Soundwave probably already knew, and he suspected Starscream to know as well, but then again, he still wasn't sure.
He had worked on them for a day. Their jaws had shattered completely, many areas of their teeth having fallen out or shattered, and he was filled with guilt, his processor filled with the mantra that he could fix them, that this was just an accident.
He had an idea, an idea that he was sure that many would disagree with, but he's currently their leader's only hope and this was the best he could currently do with materials that matched the size and shape of their jaw.
He would have finished if Ven hadn't jerked awake, splitting the jaw that he was currently molding with a small welding arc go straight down the middle of their chin, making their jaw split.
Knockout dropped the welding equipment quickly, not wanting to split anything further. It was almost instinct.
He jumped back, startled. Optics wide and stance very alert, like that of a startled cat. Only when he truly saw Ven moving, their eyes rolling, did he become aware of the situation at hand.
He quickly jumped forward, trying to be gentle as he tried to get them to lay back down, incredibly confused on how they were awake, only to remember that humans often woke up and gained more awareness when they get an adreniline rush when they feel pain. He winces as he also recalls not having anything to numb the pain. He shakes his helm violently, having heard Ven grunt that helped him snap out of it.
He huffed out of slight frustration as Ven fought him slightly to sit up, not having had known that they made their suit so strong. He sighs in relief when they finally relent and laid back down.
He looks down at them as their rolling human optics looked around blearily, oddly glowing a slight purple in the whites, their hazel middle looking like a burnt gold glowing. He blinked and felt worry overwhelm him. Guilt and being overwhelmed is not a good due in his opinion.
He vents heavily as he raises one of his servos and lightly runs the tips, the very claws of his digits lightly, very lightly, run against the black metal that now make up their bottom jaw entirely. When they didn't physically show or sound like they were in pain he gently cupped their jaw, his thumb digit lightly rubbing the underside of their cheekbone.
He leg stabilizers almost gave out when they leaned into his servo, his vents a little shaky and his optics a little fluttery.
Ven was someone very dear to him, having watched them grow, and to them as they are now, as the young creature that they are now, he couldn't help but bear the overwhelming feeling and responsibility to be their carrier unit.
He genuinely couldn't help it. His coding just came to life and he had to hold himself back many times just to not pick them up and smother them. He absolutely boiled when he heard that Megatron was making them work. He felt an offence that ran so deep he nearly went and tried to put his servos on Megatron.
When Ven raised one of their still covered servos, digits shakey and most likely heavy reached up and heavily landed on his shoulder pluadron, making his grunt when they slightly pulled him down.
He audial antennas both twitched upwards slightly as he realized that they were trying to to same something, both his optics widening an increasing amount.
"Wahh … hahhen?..."
He blinked once in confusion, making a slightly confused expression. He squinted his optics slightly and leaned down a little closer to their dermas, but quickly remembered that he had accidentally split their new jaw and he hadn't yet added the tongue.
He leaned back up and looked a slight bit sheepish as he raised one of his servos and inspected the damage that he'd caused, yet again.
Now, to inform them about this … new feature of theirs.
"My apologies, dear Ven. I tried my best to replicate a human jaw as best I could."
He only got a confused 'huh' in return, so he felt best that he showed them.
He turned around, grabbed a mirror, one that was gifted and crafted to fit in his servos by his one and only, the one he considered to be his sparkling. He turned back to face them, holding the mirror over their head so that they could look up and see.
Ven was quiet when they slowly blinked up at their reflection, he could slightly see in the corner of his optics the clenching of their servos and he bit his bottom derma. He offered a slightly shaky smile down at them, his voice holding a slight stutter as he spoke.
"I-I hope it's to your liking?"
He watched them take a heavy breath out of their nose, slowly turning their head to look at him and give him a heavy nod. He relaxed slightly when they didn't look angry or made any indication that they were. He was just relieved.
"Good. I still have to make some adjustments, but for now, I think you're well enough to just rest. No speaking, just resting and consuming your icky human food that you enjoy so much."
He lowered the mirror and patted their chassis, seeing Ven nod and slowly look back up at the ceiling before their eyes slowly closed again.
He didn't plan on operating again until he had everything he needed.
He turned around sharply and walked up to the locked doors of his med-bay, punching in the code to make it unlock.
He stuck his helm out and saw both Soundwave and Breakdown at their stations, both postures showing more than enough aggression to anyone who dared to try and force themselves through the doors. He looks further up and notices Starscream pacing up and down the hall. He clears his voice box, which catches the attention of all three mechs.
Starscream, unsurprisingly, is the first one to run up to him, at surprising speeds might he add.
"Are they well!? What's happened!? Are they alive!?"
Breakdown roughly shoves Starscream's shoulder plate.
"Calm down screamer. Knockout's one of the best around. He wouldn't let Ven die…"
Soundwave stayed silent, as always, but he was facing him and not looking away, which made Knockout want to shrink into his armor, but he stayed tall, as Ven would require of him.
He shook his helm and scoffed.
"If you think I'm letting one of the best things to happen to the Decepticons die you're sorely mistaken my high heeled friend."
He walked fully out of the med-bay and the doors closed behind him. He wouldn't be letting anyone in until they were healed enough.
"I just need a list of supplies. I've already been putting a list together of what I need and will send it to you three shortly."
He could only trust the other officers seeing as they were the one's Ven was mostly around. Seeing as he wanted all three of them to go and collect items for Ven's well being, he was sure they'd be most efficient.
"I'm counting on you three to get these so that Ven will be healing the best way possible. Do not come back empty handed."
The list went through to all three of them and he could see that they were already looking through them. Well, Soundwave just scrolled down the list on his visor.
He nodded his helm. And turned back around, the doors sliding open, but before he went in he spoke to them from over his shoulder pauldron.
"I don't care how you get the supplies."
And the doors closed, cutting their little glimpses of Ven off.
[AAAnd that's a wrap people! Tell me what you think, how you feel. I'm gonna be making the future chapters a little more chaotic, but so far things are slowly heating up and plans are cooking for the next chapter]
