The next morning, Greenly woke up and the first thing to wake her was the ceiling, a sight she was happy to see thanks to the many mattresses she slept on. At least Headmaster Grimm was merciful enough to let the princess sleep on them. Greenly was just more comfortable sleeping that way. With the help of her new pair of enchanted pegasus slippers, Greenly landed on the floor softly. Her red hair was messy and she wore a white t-shirt with green shorts.

"Good morning, roomie!" Ashlynn greeted with a warm smile. All her hair was pulled in a bun and she wore an aquamarine nightgown with coral pink slippers. "How'd you sleep?"

Greenly smiled back. "Pretty good." She looked around. "Where's Briar?"

"She went to check on her mom in her private room." Ashlynn answered. "I just can't believe the headmaster would let her spend the night here!"

"Of course he would." Greenly rolled her eyes. "Sleeping Beauty maybe cursed with enchanted narcolepsy. But she's still cash rich. Having her spend the night is a perfect way to squeeze some royal fundage out of her."

Ashlynn gasped. "Greenly! That's not very nice. Headmaster Grimm is just being thoughtful!"

The door swung open and there stood Briar looking royally cheesed. She was already dressed in her regular clothes; a slimming hot pink dress with black rose lace, black mesh stockings, hot pink rose shoes, and her trademark crownglasses rested on top of her head. "And how dare you call our curse, 'enchanted nacho'...uh..." She struggled to find the correct word. "whatever you just said!"

"It's nar-co-lep-sy." Greenly sounded out. "And it's not an insult, it's a chronic neurological disorder that can cause sleep attacks."

"Well, how was I suppose to know that, Queen Nerd?" Briar snipped.

"Oh, I don't know, how about reading a book?!" Greenly snipped back. "They're those rectangle-shaped things made out of paper that help you learn things when you open and read inside them!"

Now Briar looked really annoyed. "Are you trying to make me look dumb?!"

"Why should I? You don't need me to make you look dumb!" snapped Greenly.

Briar gasped in offense before she growled in anger. "Alright! That's it!" She pointed her pink manicured fingernail at Greenly. "Listen, Pea! You better-"

Just then, the door swung open again and this time, Headmaster Grimm was in the doorway. "What's going on here?!" he roared. "I hope that isn't fighting I just heard!"

The girls stiffened. The headmaster turned his attention to Briar. "Ms. Beauty, I know your assigment to help Ms. Pea will be difficult. But you must strengthen your resolve! I chose you because of your second highest score in the royal ranks."

"Second? Who's in first?" asked Greenly.

"Apple White, of course!" Headmaster Grimm replied. "But since she's busy trying to reform Raven Queen from this rebel phase of hers, Ms. Beauty was the next best choice. So, Ms. Beauty, I hexpect you to put in the effort to reform this rebel." He pointed to Greenly.

"Headmaster Grimm, I am not a rebel!" Greenly shot back. "I'm still a royal following my destiny! Isn't that what you want?"

"It is. But being a royal does not make up for this attitude problem of yours, Ms. Pea. So, the next time I see you, I hexpect you to be a model student or it's dungeon detention for you and Miss Beauty for the rest of the school year!"

"WHAT?!" Briar and Greenly shouted.

Then all of a sudden, Sleeping Beauty waltzed into the dorm room. "Hi, Honey!" She waved to Briar.

"Mom?!" Briar exclaimed.

"Sleeping Beauty?!" Headmaster Grimm gasped.

Sleeping Beauty rubbed her tired eyes and yawned. "Yep, it's a-me."

Briar raised a brow. "It's a-you?"

The sleepy queen looked around. "So, where's Greenly? I've been dying to see her."

Greenly spoke up. "I'm right here."

The queen looked at Greenly and her eyes shot up like she was wide awake. "Greenly Pea?! Is that really you?!"

"Yeah, you're looking at her." Greenly didn't understand why Sleeping Beauty was so surprised. "Is that a problem?"

Everyone seemed surprised by the hint of sass in Greenly's voice. "Miss Pea! Mind your manners!" Headmaster Grimm reprimanded. He cleared her throat. "I'm terribly sorry, Queen Beauty."

"It's okay. But I'd like to have a word with Greenly alone." said Sleeping Beauty. "Is that alright?"

The headmaster wanted to say no, but he wasn't foolish enough to say no to one of the most influential queens in Ever After. "Of course, your Highness." He turned to Briar and Ashlynn. "You heard the queen, ladies."

Briar rolled her eyes while Ashlynn looked concerned. But they obeyed and they left the room with the headmaster closing the door behind them. Once they were alone, Sleeping Beauty turned to Greenly. "Greenly, are you...okay?" asked the queen.

"Of course I'm okay. Why wouldn't I be okay?" Greenly retorted defensively, which Sleeping Beauty noticed.

"Well, you seem so...different now. And I'm not just talking about your hair." said Sleeping Beauty. "We've been a bit...concerned about you."

"We?" Greenly echoed.

"Your mother and I. We've been talking about you and not in a good way."

This shocked Greenly. "You and Mom were talking about me?!"

Sleeping Beauty nodded. "Yes, we've heard that you've been, well, violent."

But Greenly crossed her arms. "Look, there's a lot of people at this school who annoy me. So, when they push my buttons. I push back. Is that so wrong?"

"It is if you take it too far." Sleeping Beauty replied. "Instead of throwing the first punch, think things through a little more. Keep in mind that you're a princess. It's not smart to put your own position in jeopardy just because someone annoys you." There was a hint of fear in her eyes. "In fact, I remember a student who had a similar problem, someone who used to live in this very dorm..."

Greenly scoffed. "Oh, yeah? Who?"

Sleeping Beauty's eyes became suddenly dark. "The Evil Queen."

"WHAT?!" Greenly was taken aback. "The Evil Queen used to live in THIS dorm?!" She looked around the room in a panicked state. What if there were dark magic booby traps in here?! After all, Amber would always have her dorm booby trapped as well.

The queen nodded. "That's right. And I hate to say it, but you remind me of her when she went to school here. Although she would never throw a punch, she would always cast nasty spells on people who annoyed her. One time, she turned someone into a toad for standing too close to her in the castleteria line. Then there was the time Pied Piper attracted so many rats in Muse-ic class, she cast a spell that turned them evil and then siced them on the students!"

Greenly was silent as Sleeping Beauty continued. "I mean, I get it. She's the Evil Queen and all. But I remember when her own friends; Dark Fairy, Candy Witch, even Big Bad Wolf himself, tried to tell EQ to tone it down on the evil. But she refused to listen." She let out a yawn and sat herself down on Briar's bed. "Well, I'm no shrink. But maybe EQ didn't want to be vulnerable and show weakness, so she threw herself into her destiny and everyone feared her. Sure, when you're tough and mean, no one can hurt you when you push them away and don't let them in. But it can also be lonely. And you miss out on a lot of good things. Like, having fun with friends. Unfortunately, EQ chose evil over friendship and look where it got her. Now, no one cares about her."

The queen's words made Greenly think of her original friends; Amber, Ian, and Bentley. Aside from the play, she saw less and less of them. Was Greenly being too evil for them to be around her? Were they afraid of her? Sleeping Beauty laid herself on Briar's bed and rested her head on a soft pillow. "Greenly, you're a smart kid with a great story. So, get it together. Or keep being a bully and wind up miserable and lonely just like EQ. It's your call." Then she closed her eyes and fell fast asleep.
