Kiba was preventing Rias from leaving for her meeting with Typhion. "Kiba, I have important matters to attend to." Rias, Her eyes narrowed slightly as she gauged Kiba's stance. However, Kiba stood his ground, his expression resolute and his body blocking her path. "I can't let you go alone, Rias. It's too dangerous. We dont know what this person is capable of." Kiba, His tone firm yet laced with genuine concern. Rias's jaw tensed slightly, her lips pressed into a thin line, her frustration mounting at Kiba's stubborn refusal to yield. She took a deep breath, striving to keep her composure. "I know, and I appreciate your concern, Kiba, but I can handle myself. Besides, this is something I need to do alone." Rias, Kiba's gaze softened slightly, but he remained steadfast, his protective instincts clearly at odds with Rias's determination. "I understand, but I can't ignore my duty to protect you. Let me accompany you, at least as backup." Kiba, His eyes searching hers for any sign of acquiescence. Rias appreciated Kiba's concern and loyalty, but she remained resolute in her decision to approach the situation alone. "I understand your desire to protect me, Kiba, but this is something I must handle on my own." Rias, her voice now calm. Kiba frowned. He glanced away momentarily, clearly torn between his protective duty and his respect for Rias's independence. "But what if something goes wrong? I can't bear the thought of you in danger." Kiba, his voice almost breaking with emotion. Rias placed a reassuring hand on Kiba's shoulder, offering him a small, comforting smile. "I have confidence in my abilities, and I trust that Typhion will not pose a threat." Rias, her tone softened slightly as she tried to ease Kiba's worries. Kiba hesitated. After a moment's pause, he nodded reluctantly, his shoulders sagging slightly in resignation. "Very well, Rias. But please, be careful." Kiba, His voice a mixture of resignation and lingering concern. Rias nodded gratefully, appreciating Kiba's understanding. "I will, Kiba. Thank you for your concern." Rias, She activated a teleportation circle, she left the meeting room in a flash of light.
Rias materialized in the abandoned neighborhood, her surroundings silent and eerie. She took a moment to gather her thoughts, and she began to make her way toward the location where Typhion was staying. As she walked, Rias couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation and uncertainty that gnawed at her mind. She knew that this meeting with Typhion would be crucial, not only for understanding his intentions but also for potentially recruiting him to their cause. With each step, Rias mentally rehearsed the words she would say, carefully crafting her approach to ensure diplomacy and respect. She understood the delicate balance required in dealing with someone like Typhion, someone whose allegiance was uncertain and whose powers remained a mystery. As she reached the entrance to the building, Rias took a moment to gather her thoughts before stepping inside. With a deep breath, she pushed open the door and entered. The air inside was musty, and the dim lighting cast long shadows across the empty space. Her senses heightened, and Rias could sense Typhion's presence nearby. The sound of Typhion's grunting became more pronounced, echoing faintly in the empty hallways. She followed the sound. As she rounded a corner, Rias caught sight of Typhion doing vertical push-ups, his body suspended effortlessly as he trained with focused determination. His muscles tensed and relaxed rhythmically, showcasing his impressive physical prowess.
As Rias observed Typhion's vertical push-ups, she couldn't help but notice the impressive display of strength in his movements. His well-toned physique spoke of years of his training, each muscle flexing with each up-and-down motion. It wasn't just his strength that caught Rias's attention, it was the scars that crovered his body. Rias couldn't help but wonder about the experiences that had left such visible marks on him. Rias watched Typhion, feeling a mix of admiration and intrigue. As she observed him, she couldn't help but feel a flutter of nervousness in her chest. With an audible gulp, she unintentionally drew his attention. Typhion paused mid-push-up, his gaze locking onto Rias as she stood at the entrance. There was a moment of silent acknowledgment between them, the air charged with a sense of tension. Rias held his gaze steadily, feeling her cheeks flush with heat as embarrassment washed over her. She hadn't anticipated catching Typhion's attention in such a manner, and now she found herself blushing furiously under his gaze. She turned her entire body away from him. "I hope you don't plan on staying that way for our entire conversation?" Rias, trying to regain her composure. Typhion said nothing as he got back to his feet and grabbed a nearby shirt, pulling it on. The fabric stretched over his muscular frame. "I hope you came to a conclusion on my offer?" Rias, her voice steady despite her earlier embarrassment. She waited for him to respond. Typhion finished pulling on his shirt and turned to face her, his expression unreadable. "I accept your offer." Typhion, Rias She did a double take but quickly composed herself. "I didn't expect you to accept so quickly, but I'm happy you did." Rias, Typhion simply nodded and moved to collect his few belongings. Rias watched him for a moment before speaking again. "Is there anything else you need to know before we leave?" Rias, Typhion shook his head. "Very well, we will leave for my residence shortly." Rias, As Typhion finished packing, Rias couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and uncertainty about what the future held with this new ally by her side. Typhion, with his past and abilities, would surely change the dynamics within her peerage. She hoped it would be for the better. "Ready?" Rias, Typhion had gathered his belongings and nodded. Rias activated the teleportation circle, but Typhion stayed back, confusing her. "Not coming?" Rias, He shook his head. "I'll fly there. I have your scent, so I'll meet you there." Typhion, Rias became slightly embarrassed, her cheeks tinged with a faint blush. "Alright, if that's what you prefer. Just be careful." she said, trying to maintain her composure. Typhion gave a slight nod and, with a powerful leap, launched himself into the air. His wings unfurled, catching the wind as he ascended into the sky. Rias watched him for a moment before stepping into the teleportation circle, her mind racing with thoughts about the meeting.
The circle activated, and Rias found herself back at the old school building. As she arrived, the familiar faces of her peerage members greeted her. Kiba, Akeno, and Koneko stood by, their expressions curious and cautious as they regarded the newcomer who had yet to arrive. Kiba's expression was filled with concern. "What happened? Did he hurt you?" Kiba, Rias shook her head, offering a reassuring smile. "No, Kiba, he didn't hurt me. In fact, he accepted our offer. Typhion is willing to help." Rias, Kiba's expression shifted from concern to surprise. "He accepted? Just like that?" he asked, stunned by the news. "Yes, he understands the terms and has agreed to cooperate with us. He even chose to fly here on his own rather than using the teleportation circle." Rias, Kiba's brow furrowed. "Why would he do that?" Kiba, Rias thought for a second before responding. "Perhaps he wanted to maintain a sense of independence, but the important thing is that he's willing to work with us. We need to make sure he feels welcomed and integrated into our team." Rias, Kiba nodded, though a hint of skepticism remained in his eyes. "Alright, if you trust him, then I will too. But I'll keep an eye on him, just in case." Kiba, Rias placed a hand on his shoulder. "I appreciate that, Kiba. Your vigilance is one of our greatest strengths. Let's give him a chance to prove himself." Rias, As they spoke, the sound of wings flapping softly could be heard outside. Rias turned her head towards the noise, a hint of surprise in her voice. "That was quick. It's time we go meet our new ally." Rias, "Yes, President." Peerage,
Rias led her peerage outside to where Typhion was waiting. The air was cool and still, the twilight casting long shadows across the ground. Typhion stood by the entrance, his posture relaxed but alert, his keen eyes observing their approach. "Welcome, Typhion. I'm glad you made it safely." Rias, Typhion nodded, acknowledging her words. Rias smiled and turned to her peerage. "Let's get Typhion settled in and then we'll start with introductions." Rias, Kiba stepped forward, offering a hand. "I remember you. You were the one trying to get me to respect your master." Typhion, He looking down at Kiba, he pulled his hand back hesitantly, a nervous look on his face. "Yes, that was me. I hope we can put that behind us and work together from now on." Kiba, His voice steady despite his unease. Typhion studied Kiba for a moment before nodding. "Agreed." Typhion, Rias stepped in, breaking the tension. "Thank you, Typhion. Kiba is one of my most trusted allies, and I'm sure you'll come to see why." Rias, She led the group inside the old school building. "This will be your new home and base of operations. Feel free to make yourself comfortable. We have training facilities, living quarters, and anything else you might need." Rias, Typhion followed, his eyes taking in the details of his new surroundings. The building was old but well-maintained. Once inside, Rias gestured to the spacious living area where the rest of her peerage was gathered. "Now, with the semi-tour done, let me introduce you to my other two peerage members." Rias, She pointed to the two women in the room who stepped forward. "I'm Akeno Himejima. It's nice to officially meet you, Typhion." Akeno, She greeted him with a smile. Koneko, standing beside her, gave a small nod. "Koneko Toujou." Koneko, Typhion acknowledged each introduction with a nod. Rias then turned back to Typhion. "We'll give you some time to settle in. Your room is ready for you. Feel free to explore and get comfortable. There is one room that is off-limits you'll see it." Rias, He nodded in agreement. "Understood." Typhion, He Turned and made his way to his room. "We'll start with our training session tomorrow morning." Rias added. Typhion didn't respond verbally, but his steady pace indicated he had heard her. Rias watched him go, unable to shake a sense of both relief and anticipation. Integrating Typhion into their team would undoubtedly bring changes, but she was confident it would be for the better. She turned to her peerage, who were watching Typhion's retreating figure with varying degrees of curiosity and caution. "Doesn't seem to be very talkative." Akeno, Her eyes following Typhion. Kiba nodded in agreement. "That I noticed as well, even when I went over there." Rias, She smiled reassuringly. "He must have been through a lot. It's understandable. Let's give him the support he needs to integrate with our team. With his help, we'll be stronger than ever." Rias, Her peerage nodded in agreement. As they dispersed to their own activities.
Later that night, Rias was making her way down the hall to her room, but she had to make a stop first. She paused in front of Typhion's door, intending to knock but hesitant, not wanting another incident like in the abandoned house. As she raised her hand to knock, she heard two different voices from inside. Intrigued and slightly concerned, she listened for a moment. The two voices conversed in low tones, their words indistinct but clearly engaged in a discussion. Gathering her resolve, Rias knocked on the door. The voices stopped abruptly, and after a brief pause. "Come in." Typhion, Rias pushed the door open and stepped inside. Typhion was sitting on his bed with no one else in the room. Rias was confused by this, having clearly heard two voices earlier, but she decided not to question it at the moment. "Anything I can help with?" Typhion, his gaze steady on her. Rias nodded and stepped forward. "Yes, there is something. I didn't want to bring this up earlier, but now seems like a good time." Rias, She pulled out a small, ornate box filled with a few pieces of a chess set. Typhion raised an eyebrow. "What are those for?" Typhion, Rias smiled warmly. "These are Evil Pieces. They're used to reincarnate humans or other beings into devils and to officially make them part of a devil's peerage. It's a formality, but also a bond that will connect us. I want to give you one of these to signify your place in my peerage." Rias, Typhion's expression remained the same. "I see." Typhion, Rias hesitated for a moment before selecting a piece from the box. "I believe the Knight piece suits you well. It represents your strength, speed, and the loyalty you've shown already. It will enhance your abilities and integrate you fully into our group." Rias, Typhion took the piece from her hand, examining it closely. "A Knight, huh?" Typhion, Rias nodded, her smile growing. "Indeed. It signifies more than just your role; it represents the trust and camaraderie we're building. Are you ready for this step?" Rias, Typhion looked up from the piece, meeting her gaze. "I suppose so." Typhion, Rias performed the ritual, the Knight piece glowing softly as it attempted to merge with Typhion. He closed his eyes briefly, feeling the magic swirl around him. However, when he opened his eyes, the piece was lying on the floor, having failed to integrate. Rias stared at it, dumbfounded and concerned. Before she could react further, a voice spoke up. "Your piece is too weak to recruit my host." Voice, Rias looked around, trying to locate the source of the voice. "Who are you? And what do you mean by 'your host'?" Rias, Typhion remained calm, his gaze directed downward. Rias stared in shock as Typhion's arms glowed a faint red. "I am Arthralma, it is a pleasure to meet you, Rias Gremory." Arthralma, Rias tried to compose herself, her mind racing. "Arthralma." Rias, The name rolling off her tongue as she placed her palm to her mouth in thought. The name was familiar, but she couldn't quite place it. "I am one of the dragons that was involved in the battle between The Three Biblical Factions against Ddraig and Albion." Arthralma, Rias's eyes widened in shock, and she stumbled back a bit. "How? They say you disappeared when both Ddraig and Albion were defeated." Rias, Typhion's arm lit up again. "Indeed, I did disappear. I was turned into a Sacred Gear, but it was never properly made." Arthralma, Rias turned her head in confusion. "What do you mean?" Rias, Arthralma hesitated for a moment. "The Biblical God created a Sacred Gear orb for me as I was dying, but it was never fully completed. Unlike other Sacred Gears, mine lacked the final touches of the other sacred gears." Arthralma, Rias's mind raced as she processed this information. "So, you're saying that you're a Sacred Gear, but one that isn't fully functional?" Rias, Her voice tinged with curiosity and concern. Typhion's arms glowed until a set of armor appeared, covering his arms with a bony armor. "Correct. I can grant my host my powers, but I didn't have a physical form until I was found by Azazel." Arthralma, Rias's eyes narrowed as she processed this information. "Azazel? The Governor General of the Fallen Angels?" Rias, She mentally prepared herself. "Yes, he discovered me in my incomplete Sacred Gear form. Through his experiments, I was granted this physical manifestation." Arthralma, Rias took a step back, her expression hardening. "Experimented on? Given this form? What exactly did Azazel do to you?" Rias,
Typhion looked down at his armored arms. "He used his extensive knowledge of Sacred Gears to enhance and stabilize my form. It was a painful process, but it allowed me to survive and retain my consciousness within the Sacred Gear." Arthralma, Rias's mind raced with conflicting thoughts. On one hand, having a dragon of Arthralma's caliber in her peerage could be a tremendous asset. On the other hand, the involvement of Azazel and the nature of these experiments raised serious ethical and strategic concerns. Rias's curiosity piqued further. "Who stole you?" Rias asked, her mind racing with possibilities. Typhion's expression darkened for the first time since their meeting, and Arthralma's voice echoed through the room. "A rogue set of Fallen Angels." Arthralma, Typhion growled lowly to himself. "Who was it? I need to know." Rias blurted out, immediately covering her mouth with her hands, realizing she might have overstepped. Typhion snapped his head toward her, and she felt a wave of dread wash over her. He quickly approached, pushing her into the wall with surprising speed and strength. His gaze bore into hers, fierce and unyielding. "Kokabiel. He is the one who stole him!" Typhion, Rias' eyes widened in horror, and she swallowed hard, trying to maintain her composure despite the proximity and intensity of Typhion's presence. "Why do you need to know?!" Typhion, Rias took a deep breath, summoning her courage. "Because if you're going to be an ally to us, and you plan to stay, we need to understand the threats we face. Kokabiel is now a threat to all of us." Rias, Typhion's expression softened just a fraction as he stepped back slightly, giving her space. "I guess you're right." Typhion, Rias wanted to place a reassuring hand on his arm but refrained. "I'm sorry for asking. I didn't mean to offend you." Rias, Her tone sincere. "It's fine." Typhion, Typhion's arm glowed briefly. "This situation is new for both of us. We need to understand each other if we're going to work together. Trust is the foundation of any strong alliance. We will do our part, Rias Gremory, as long as you do yours." Arthralma, Rias picked up the knight piece from the floor. "I will, we will start with training tomorrow. For now, get some rest. We have a lot of work ahead of us." Rias, She turned and left Typhion's room, but before she closed the door, she heard him final reply. "Understood." Typhion,
Rias started to make her way back to her room. She was stopped when a nearby door opened, revealing Akeno. "Everything alright, Rias? I heard your little conversation. It seemed intense." Akeno, Her voice was filled with concern. Rias nodded, though her expression betrayed her unease. "Yes, everything is alright. I tried to bring him into our peerage, but it didn't work, and our conversation just turned south, is all." Rias, Akeno, ever perceptive, noticed the distress in Rias' eyes. "It must have been difficult. Do you want to talk about it?" Akeno, Rias sighed, leaning against the wall feeling the weight of the night's events. "It's just... Typhion has a lot of history, and there's so much we don't know about him. Typhion has a Sacred Gear, and not just any Sacred Gear it's Arthralma, one of the dragons who fought Ddraig and Albion. It was incomplete and was somehow stolen by Kokabiel." Rias, Akeno's eyes widened in surprise. "Arthralma? That's... significant. Kokabiel being involved makes things even more dangerous." Akeno, "Exactly. I was hoping this would be straight forward, but now we're dealing with a rogue set of Fallen Angels and the Old Satan Faction. On top of it all, Typhion's anger, and his connection with Kokabiel makes him unpredictable. We need to be cautious." Rias, She was rubbing her temples. Akeno stepped closer, placing a comforting hand on Rias' shoulder. "We'll get through this, Rias. We've all faced tough challenges before. What's one more person with a complicated story to our little team." Akeno, Rias gave a small, appreciative smile. "You're right, Akeno. I'm glad you can somewhat joke about this. We will need to take it one step at a time. Tomorrow, we'll start training with Typhion and see how we can work together effectively." Rias, Akeno nodded. "Good plan. And remember, you're not alone in this. We're all here to support you." Akeno, "Thank you, Akeno. Let's get some rest. Tomorrow is going to be a long day." Rias, Feeling a bit of her tension ease. "Agreed. Goodnight, Rias." Akeno, Giving her a reassuring smile before heading back to her room.
Authors notes
Typhion is now acquainted with Rias and her peerage. He is no longer alone and will now make progress to make his life better even if it will be hard for him. Thank you for reading, and leave a comment if there is anything I can improve. The next chapter will be added while, life has finally calmed, and I have more time to work on the story.
