SuperSonicHeroes: Emma's a pretty controversial one in canon.

Hajime17: Excellent narration.

JTK: This is interesting.

acosta perez jose ramiro: That, and Axel didn't want to beat Shawn in the finale when he's not motivated.

Girls: Axel, Emma

Episode 13: Beauty vs. Brawn: The Ultimate Showdown

"Last time, on Total Drama Revenge of the Island! The Final Three went hunting for my old pal Larry, the human flytrap. Awww, adorable."

"Shawn and Emma vowed to take each other to the finale, but thanks to Axel, trust issues pulled them apart."

"In the end, Axel won immunity, and gave Shawn the old heave-hurl!"

"Only two competitors remain. Emma and Axel in the ultimate Total Drama showdown!" The montage ended there, the scene cutting to the Dock of Shame where Chris and Chef stood in their formal attire – the host in his baby blue tuxedo, the assistant in his dark pink evening gown holding the prized suitcase. "It's Beauty versus Brawn in a tooth-rattling, ego-bashing, life-threatening battle for a cash prize of," the shot cut to a close-up of the suitcase, which was opened to reveal the money inside, "One! Million! Dol-lars!"

Chef eagerly reached for the cash, but the shot quickly cut to his face as something snapped and he yelped in pain. He raised his hand to reveal that he had gotten his fingers caught in a mouse trap, and glared at the laughing host. "Right here, right now, on the epic finale of, Total! Drama! Rrrevenge, of the Island!"

(Theme Song)

It was night as the episode proper opened, zooming in from a long-distance shot of the island to Axel and Emma walking together. "I can't believe Shawn's gone," Emma said sadly. "He deserved to win more than me."

"Yeah, but then he offered himself up for elimination," Axel told her in a mocking voice. "Think of how embarrassing this'll be for me if I defeated him while he didn't have much of a drive."

Emma stopped in her tracks. "Sure I'm not as prepared for the competition as you are," she said, prompting Axel to stop as well and look back, "but I'm the clear favorite to win if you ask me." She started walking again, and smiled confidently as she passed Axel by.

Axel snorted. "Like you're a prize," she said as she resumed walking as well. "You never made any big moves other than messing with me just to let Noah win and you've never won a challenge for yourself. If anything, some of the viewers will claim you as a plain pick-me girl who got this far because of kindness." Emma stopped in her tracks, and the camera zoomed in on her worried frown as Axel walked off laughing.

Emma's frown became a scowl, and she angrily called out "Well at least I didn't have to trick anyone to get this far, and I was fortunate enough to get along with enough people in order to not get voted out!"

She smirked when Axel immediately stopped laughing.

Confessional: Emma

"Now I can see why Shawn was able to let Axel's words get to him," Emma told the outhouse camera. "They're harsh, but somewhat true. Yes I wasn't cutthroat towards anybody and I never caused any eliminations, but that won't matter to the people back home, like the students at my prep school. Being raised by parents who devote their time towards helping the homeless can influence how you act towards others," she noted. "This time, I'm not holding back anything. There's a million dollars on the line!"

Confessional: Axel

"The money is almost in my hands," Axel confessed with a pleased smile. "I've dominated this game ever since the beginning and outranked eleven people with my very own survival skills. Last one on my list is Emma, and she's no rival."

She started laughing cockily, but a sudden loud fanfare outside startled her into screaming and falling off her seat.

Confessionals End

The fanfare continued as the scene cut to a pair of long, straight, Roman tubas adorned with flags bearing the face of Chris McLean. They were pointed towards the sunny sky and played by the pony-tailed female and long-banged male interns, a stereo at their feet as they stood with a wary-looking Emma and Axel by the communal washroom. The display served to herald the arrival of Chef, wearing a stereotypical Roman legion helmet, pulling a red-and-gold chariot ridden by Chris, who was naturally dressed as a stereotypical Roman emperor.

"All hail mighty McLean!" Chris declared in a dramatic voice as his chariot came to a stop in front of the Final Two.

Axel and Emma shared an odd look. "What's with the Ancient Roman garb?" Axel asked.

"You'll see," Chris said impishly before looking to the side and calling out "Slave! Bring me my mystic seeing glass," in the same dramatic voice as his previous declaration.

Moments later, the camera zoomed out to show the arrival of a widescreen television on a cart pushed by the fat male intern, who blew his boss a raspberry as he passed. "Hey!" Chris said in outrage before shrugging and smiling. "You know what? In Ancient Rome, blowing a raspberry was a show of respect!"

"No it wasn't," Emma corrected, the television cart now set up next to her and the interns out-of-sight.

"Anywho," Chris said with an annoyed shrug, "as a reward for making it all the way to the finale, you each get thirty seconds to speak to a loved one back home."

Both girls perked up. "Then that means..." Emma said before the television switched on to show a live feed of a woman in her mid-forties with a blonde ponytail. She wore a yellow polo shirt, and was sitting on a faded brown couch in front of an orange wall decorated with numerous pictures. "Mom?!" Emma gasped in shock, but quickly smiled. "I wasn't expecting to see you!"

The woman laughed heartily. "Well, I have the day off so I decided to spend the first part of it talking to you. I have to say, me and your father were so stoked to know that you've made it this far in the show, especially one that'll make you so much money." Emma nodded in agreement. "Me and your father have been saving up to apply you to the public school you've always dreamed of going to, but charity sometimes gets in the way and the school is a bit expensive. Just remember," she added, "don't forget who you truly are and don't succumb to the greed and selfishness of the people around you like you've been doing all your life!" Emma nodded in determination. "Don't give up and do your best in the finale! Wish you luck, sweetie!" Emma's mother finished with a hand wave.

"I will, mom," Emma replied with a wave of her own before the feed cut to static and then cut out entirely. She let out a breath shortly after, and smiled proudly.

"So that's your mother?" Axel asked. "No wonder you're the way you are right now."

"I'd insult you back, but I don't see any need to right now," Emma responded in annoyance.

"Whatever," Axel said, stepping forward as Emma stepped back.

It was then that the widescreen cut to static, and then to a tanned teenage boy standing in front of a dark green room. He had black hair and a brown tank top. "Will?!" Axel said in shock. "You're the one doing the video message?"

"Our parents are out working like usual, and since I'm currently the oldest one in the house right now, I have to be the one doing this, like it or not," Will said.

"I don't want to like it," Axel admitted and smiled, "but I do miss seeing you after all this time."

"So do I, even if you do tend to get rough with us guys," Will chuckled. "We're currently clearing out the garage so that you'll have a place for all the weapons and armor you'll buy."

Axel raised an eyebrow. "Seriously? I thought you guys weren't so gung ho about my hobbies?"

"We're not and we never will," Will taunted for a bit, "but you're still part of the family, and we support each other. Hasta la vista!" he bid his goodbye. The feed ended there, and the shot focused back on Axel as she let out her breath.

"Your parents weren't able to talk to you?" Emma asked with sympathy. "Sorry."

"I don't need your sympathy!" Axel snapped. "I'm good!"

Confessional: Axel

"If you can't tell, my parents are overworked, and I have to be the one that watches over my four brothers," Axel revealed with crossed arms. "That has hardened me a lot, and it'll all be worth it when I bring home the million dollars!"

Confessional Ends

The static cut away to show that Axel and Emma had gotten on the chariot behind Chris, which was being pulled once more by Chef. "Where are we headed off to?" Emma asked. "Mount Looming Tragedy? The Bay of Dismay? Haunted Forest?"

"Nah, somewhere waaaay more dangerous," Chris replied excitedly, earning a wary look from the finalists. "For the most painful Total Drama finale competition ev-er! Ladies," he said in his dramatic 'imperial' voice, "behold, the Chrisiseum!"

A grandiose fanfare began to play as he pointed ahead, and the two girls gasped before the perspective shifted to show their destination: a massive coliseum with wooden walls and high flat arches; the central entryway incorporated magenta curtains, tall stacks of toxic waste barrels as supports, and the tail fin of the former Total Drama Jumbo Jet with the Chris McLean insignia intact and prominent.

The fanfare continued as the scene cut inside to a high covered box seating area, where Chris was flanked by the same two interns playing Roman tubas as before. He smiled for a few seconds, then glanced to the side and pressed a button on a nearby stereo, shutting off the fanfare and leaving the interns sputtering pathetically into their instruments. They lowered them in shame, and Chris stood up.

"Finalists, say 'what's up' to your cheering section," he opened, the camera following his point downward to reveal a three-tiered section of seats where the season's former contestants were already seated. "From the Mutant Maggots," the camera zoomed in on the left side of the top row, "Mike! Lindsay!" The theater boy smiled at the finalists below, and the dumb blonde looked up from her mirror just long enough to smile at her former teammates. "Cameron!" The bubble boy smiled and waved. "Aaand, Shawn," the host finished, the pan across the row ending on the conspiracy nut, who nodded at the camera with a smile.

"And the Toxic Rats," Chris continued, the shot briefly cutting back to him before going back down to the second row. "Staci! Beardo! Alejandro!" The compulsive liar smiled, the human soundboard winked, and the arch villain grinned charmingly. "Tyler! Dakota!" The klutz and fame monger smiled at the camera, the latter still retaining her glowing skin. "Noah! Aaand, Dawn!" The bookworm gave off his usual frown and returned to reading his book and the moonchild smiled.

The shot cut outward to show the two finalists standing on the bare dirt of the Chrisiseum floor while the losers began to cheer – Dakota, Cameron, Dawn, Mike, Lindsay, and Shawn for Emma; Staci, Beardo, Tyler, and Alejandro for Axel. Noah remained silent.

"Huh," Axel said with a hint of surprise. "I wasn't expecting people to actually side with me."

"Well I did," Emma said and waved at the contestants. "Hey guys!"

"Hi Emma!" Shawn called back and looked at Alejandro. "You're really gonna root for Axel?"

"I don't approve of her actions, but she did work to get to where she is," Alejandro admitted.

"Hey, Chris," Tyler spoke up. "Do we really have to cheer for one of them? Can we support both of them?"

"Well I'm not in the mood to cheer," Noah said dryly.

"Oh, I think you will cheer," Chris corrected, the music turning slightly tense as the focus panned up to him – and the remote control he was now holding. "Otherwise, I'll be forced to unleash...him!" He pressed the button on his remote, and with a mechanical whir Fang rose up into the third row of the seating area, a metal collar and leash around his neck. He barred a toothy grin, and the former contestants gasped.

"What?!" Beardo shouted.

"Oh dear!" Dawn gasped.

"Not him!" Cameron yelled out in fear.

"Any questions?" Chris asked smugly.

"Go Emma," Noah added blankly.

The preppy girl smiled brightly.

"On with the main event," Chris announced, drawing the camera's attention back to him. "The final challenge of the season is," he stood up and folded his hands behind his back, "a one-on-one Gladiator Battle Royale!" The shot pulled back to show the cheering section below him and the two finalists looking upward. "But first, you'll need to use your imaginations to make armor and weapons, in a challenge I like to call 'Make It, or Break It'!" A flatter version of the usual grandiose theme played as the task was named.

"You'll need tools and materials to build your armor and weapons," the host continued. "And we've got 'em, rrrright here!" The camera cuts to several objects lying on the ground together – a blow torch, a magnifying glass, various hammers and wrenches, tacks, a roll of duct tape, a dead fish, and a bowling ball.

"I know a couple of things I can do with that blowtorch," Axel mused, the shot panning up and right to her and Emma.

"That's not all!" Chris added impishly. "Oh, Cheee~ef!" he called out, the cheering section gasping in shock as they noticed a helicopter approaching. Chef lowered it over the arena, and the camera zoomed in on the massive dumpster hanging upside down below it. The lid opened suddenly, dumping the assorted garbage inside onto the useful items below causing Emma and Axel to groan in annoyance. "THANK YOU, CHEF!" the host called and waved out to his assistant, who nodded slightly and flew away.

"You have fifteen minutes to collect useful bits of crud from Mount Junkmore," Chris explained over a shot of the two finalists looking at the trash heap they'd been given then turning back towards the stands, "and assemble your arsenal. But watch your step," he warned with a smile, sitting back onto his throne. "I may have loaded the dumpster with a ton of booby-traps." He laughed with anticipatory glee, causing Emma to flinch and Axel to raise an annoyed eyebrow.

"Aaand," Chris finished, snapping his fingers. The shot panned over to the ponytailed female intern who eagerly pressed play on the stereo...only to frown as it played a jaunty sea shanty, then pressed rewind and play again so that a loud gong rung out from it. She smiled sheepishly at her boss, who glared at her briefly before turning his smile towards the arena. "Go!" he declared.

The music immediately became tense as the two girls made a dash for the junk pile while the losers cheered on their finalists. Axel reached the pile first, however, with Emma running past while she lifted a large metal car spoiler off the pile. She was rewarded by a sudden blast of disgusting-looking gas from the pile that left her coughing and hacking. "Aaagh, stink bomb! Nasty!" Emma said as she stumbled backward out of the cloud, nearly dropping the piece of scavenged metal in the process. When the gas cloud dissipated, she carried the piece of metal off to the side.

The gallery continued to cheer as she ran back towards the pile. "You can do it, Emma!" Shawn called out, rising from his seat.

"Stay on track!" Mike added.

"Faster, Axel!" Tyler cheered for Axel, the camera focusing in on the other end of the stands. "Use that mannequin leg. It will make a great club."

"She needs to build armor too," Alejandro told him.

"I was getting to that," Tyler told him and focused on Axel. "Those metal plates will make great armor!"

Meanwhile, Emma grabbed a golf club from the pile, but not without suffering an explosion hurtling her to the ground.

Mike and Lindsay winced in sympathy, and Emma stood groaning and blackened.

Axel laughed triumphantly. "This is just rich. You may as well quit now. Save yourself from damaging your hair."

The survivalist went back to digging in the pile when Emma found the blowtorch outside the pile.

"Alright!" Emma smiled. "That blowtorch is mine!"

Axel pulled out a cannon. "Now this is more my style," she said before the cannon started to bulge. Axel yelped and ducked to the ground just fast enough for the cannonball to go over her entirely and crash into the far wall of the Chrisosseum.

Chris laughed as Axel looked up. "Alright!" the host said. "Those booby traps were such a good idea!"

"Go Emma!" Lindsay cheered excitedly. "Show her who's boss!"

Beardo made the sound of a lightning strike.

Afterwards, the final two began building their armor and attaching it to their body.

Axel was very quick to use a frying pan as a helmet while also putting metal plates around her entire body. Meanwhile, Emma was putting on a metallic hockey mask and putting on a baseball catcher's gear to act as her armor. Axel picked up a baseball bat and wrapped it with aluminum foil. As for Emma, she was filing away on a piece of wood that would serve as her sword.

A gong played on the stereo, which was quickly shut off by the female intern. "Aaaand, time is up!" Chris announced, a grand tune playing as he stood from his throne. "Finalists, take your positions for the ultimate Total Drama showdown! Last one standing wins, One! Million! Dol-lars!"

Axel stepped forward first, the camera panning up from her feet to her helmet, showing her metal plated armor and her aluminum bat. "That armor is impressive!" Noah called out from off-screen.

"Don't take her down too harshly!" Cameron finished.

"Let's do this!" Axel declared.

The shot cut to the stands. "What a wonderful display of determination," Alejandro complimented.

"I don't know," Tyler said hesitantly. "I know Axel more, but Emma's looking like the underdog right now."

"Well here comes Emma in her armor," Dakota pointed out as the perspective moved behind Axel, sliding to the side to show her facing Emma. The blonde stood in her sports armor and held onto her sword.

"Nice armor," Axel quipped. "Are you in a baseball game or what?"

Emma smirked. "I know a thing or two about touching up." With that, she pulled out two cans of hairspray, but they weren't for her hair. She shook them with all her might, and sprayed her entire body, the clouds covering the scene completely.

The clouds eventually dispersed, and the camera panned up to show her armor being colored in yellow and orange. "You like it?" she asked confidently.

Axel was shown gaping as the shot cut to her, but Emma's supporters cheered her on.

"This is gonna be good," Chris laughed as the camera panned around Emma's back, showing Axel glaring at the blonde girl as a radical techno tune played. "The ultimate battle brutale!" he declared as the shot cut back up to him. "Find out when we return, on Total! Drama! Rrrrevenge of the Island!" An ominous chant punctuated each successive outward cut, going from his top box, to the entire stands, to the entire arena, and lastly to the entire island.

(Commercial Break)

Rumbling thunder filled the sky as the episode resumed, a dramatic score rising up under the cheers of the former players as the shot cut to the Chrisiseum, and then to the stands.

"It's the final challenge of the season," Chris announced. "A gladiator battle to end all gladiator battles!"

"Hope you're ready to lose," Emma told her opponent. "I'm not ready to fall for your tricks," she added, holding her weapon out as the camera showed her through Axel's legs.

"Big whoop," Axel replied as the shot showed her from over Emma's shoulder. "You're too far from a dumb blonde to be fooled." Emma was shown from over Axel's shoulder, frowning as the survivalist finished speaking.

"I believe I was speaking?" Chris interrupted in annoyance. "Save the trash talk for the battle. Oh, and in the grand Total Drama tradition, there are gonna be a few obstacles to deal with, which I will release into the ring...whenever I feel like it."

"They won't stand a chance against us," Emma bragged.

"Absolutely," Axel agreed.

"The match ends when one gladiator pins the other for three seconds," Chris continued without acknowledging the outburst.

"Three seconds?" Axel scoffed. "I'll have her pinned longer than that!"

"Aaaand, go!" Chris announced, the music quickly rising up to an appropriate level of danger and intensity as the preppy girl gripped her weapon.

The shot cut to Emma's feet as she charged forward while her supporters cheered. "Kiss the million bucks goodbye!" she declared, raising her sword.

"No thanks, I'm good," Axel replied, swinging her bat so hard that the girl had to quickly duck under with a yelp.

Emma popped back up as quickly. "Yeah!" she cheered. "Bet you didn't plan on me being this fast!"

As she spoke, Axel simply raised her bat again and swiped it under her opponent's feet. Emma was launched into the air and landed flat on her back.

"Actually, I did," Axel said as the perspective cut to the view from the host's box, the man himself stepping in front of the camera as he watched the latina stand over her rival. "I knew you'd be too busy gloating to notice my follow-up attack."

"Time for a close encounter of the mutant kind!" Chris declared, smugly pressing the button on his remote. "Finalists," he called out, catching the attention of Axel long enough for Emma to scramble out of the way, "take your positions for the ultimate Total Drama showdown!" The camera panned from Axel, down to Emma, and then over to a gate in the far wall which slid up to reveal the giant mutant beetle mother, standing on its hind legs and wearing a single boxing glove. It quickly breathed a jet of fire, and scuttled forward with a menacing hiss.

The shot cut back to the two finalists, Axel smiling and Emma still on the ground. "Good luck," Axel told her, fleeing without another word.

"Huh?" Emma asked, looking back up at her only to see that Axel had already disappeared. She growled in outrage before a sudden jet of fire forced her to jump to the side.

The shot cut to the supporters shouting their encouragement, Tyler joining in. "Destroy that fire beetle, Emma!" he stood up and called out.

"I thought you were rooting for Axel?" Dakota asked him.

"I am, but I want to give Emma a little bit of support," Tyler explained.

The music picked up slightly as the scene returned to Emma and the beetle, the latter punching over and over while the former kept blocking with her sword and backing up. She found herself up against the wall of the arena, and when she looked to the side to confirm, the beetle finally landed a blow on her chest. It was strong enough to earn a grunt from Emma, but she was able to duck under the next blow and strike back with a blow from her sword. This was enough to knock the beetle back, which in turn gave Emma the opportunity to strike back with several bashes that managed to knock the mutant over.

"Yeah!" she said confidently. "How do you like that?" She was answered by a furious jet of fire-breath, but with the beetle on its back, it was unable to actually hit her – though Emma ducked all the same, and she quickly stood up seemingly unscathed. She tossed her sword like a disc at the supine mutant; it hissed and squealed upon getting hit in the head, but soon fell unconscious with its head and legs flopping down.

Emma let out a breath of relief as the crowd cheered. "That takes care of him. Where's Axel?" she asked, looking up.

"Over here!" Axel yelled. Both the blonde girl and the camera turned to see Axel dashing toward her with her bat. "Strike this!"

Emma let out a scream and ran away, jumping up every so often. The camera pulled back to show that Axel was swinging her bat while giving chase.

"Yeah, running around is definitely going to help you," Axel snarked.

"Stop running and fight!" Noah said from the stands.

"That's not supportive," Dawn replied.

"How else will the winner be determined?" Noah asked rhetorically.

Emma's yelps and Axel's laughter filled the air, and the shot cut up to the host's box as Chris sighed in boredom. "Yawn." He pressed the button on his remote control, and a circular hole opened up in the ground, the two dirt-covered doors that had been covering it sliding aside with a mechanical whir.

Emma gasped as she realized she was running right towards it, and stopped as the massive mutant alligator with tentacles for arms rose up out of it and roared at her. She turned to flee, but the beast reached out and grabbed her. Then, as Axel gasped in horror, the alligator chomped down on the screaming girl just off-camera.

"Yikes!" Mike yelped.

"Oh no!" Lindsay cried with concern.

"You guys should still watch," Chris leaned down to tell them. "The ratings on this are gonna be crrraaaaazy!"

The shot cut back to the alligator's head as Emma let out a muffled cry of "I am not your dinner!"

"You're not defeating her! I am!" Axel chimed in, the camera panning down to show her swinging her bat at the alligator's belly to no effect. It just kept on chewing, until something inside its mouth seemed to break and give it pause. It grimaced in pain, then opened its mouth dropping Emma onto Axel. It frantically tried to wipe away its tongue, and the camera panned down to the two campers.

"Nice save," Emma said as she got back to her feet.

"I don't want you to be eaten, hate you or not," Axel replied, standing up as well.

She raised her arms to club Emma, but a tentacle tapping on Axel's shoulder got both their attention, and they looked up right into the mutant alligator's roar. "Whoa!" Axel yelled as she and Emma dashed back out of the way, but Axel was too slow and got grabbed by the mutant.

It raised the latina girl up to eye level and growled, prompting Axel to groan. "I hate alligators."

The alligator replied with a point-blank roar.

"Drop her now!" Emma called out suddenly, earning the attention of the other two 'fighters'. The shot cut to her standing nearby brandishing her weapon. She huffed, then charged at the mutant at such a speed that while the camera was able to follow her, the background became little more than a blur. She charged past the gator and delivered a blow to its stomach, causing it to promptly drop Axel, who managed to land on her feet and stomp the mutant's foot. The beast raised the foot in pain, and another hit from Emma managed to bring it crashing down to the ground. It growled and started to get back up, but a sharp kick from Axel over the eyes managed to knock it out.

The two regrouped, panting heavily. "I knew you wouldn't let that thing chew on me," Axel said.

"Like it'd make me any better," Emma replied.

Axel scooped up a handful of dirt and threw it in Emma's face before running off cackling to herself. The dirt got off Emma's face as her vision returned. "Where'd she go?" she asked.

"Here I am!" Axel said, both Emma and the camera turning to see the survivalist holding a baseball. "You should start running now."

She hit the ball with her bat, and Emma instinctively swung her sword in an attempt to deflect the ball. To the preppy girl's surprise, it worked - causing the ball to fly into the stands to the shock of those sitting there. It hit one of Fang's teeth, and the tooth shattered. Mortified, all Fang could do was whimper.

"Lucky for me, I have another ball," Axel said as she took it out. She shot her ball at Emma before she deflected again. This one flew towards the top box, forcing Chris and his two interns to dive away in panic – but the host happened to toss his remote control into the ball's flight path as he made his escape, and the device's button was pressed by the ball.

"Uh-oh," Chris said, standing back up and giving the remote a fearful look.

The circular door in the ground opened back up even wider, and the camera backed away from a shot of the two teens as they saw a veritable horde of mutants rise up out of the ground all at once: multiple mutant gophers, a mutant turtle, a spiny mutant beaver, the squid-tree, a laser squirrel, a giant two-headed rabbit, and Larry all glaring down at the two humans. Larry roared, and the perspective inverted to show the two screaming, and the stands in the background filled with shocked and worried faces.

Confessional: Shawn

"Larry..." Shawn said fearfully.

Confessional: Tyler

"M-m-mutant gophers!" Tyler said, rocking back and forth in the confessional while hugging his legs.

Confessional: Noah

"I'm just lucky to not be a finalist," Noah told the camera.

Confessionals End

The music quickly became dramatic again as the laser squirrel shot at the stands, forcing those in them to scream and scatter before the blast blew up a good chunk of the seats. The shot cut to the arena floor as Lindsay and Mike fled in the foreground while Beardo fled in the background making alarm sounds.

Cameron was face to face with a mutated squirrel. "This is highly illogical!" The squirrel responded by blasting him, causing him to scream and duck for cover.

The shot cut to Emma and Axel, who were now readying their weapons for a strike. "Hey, those guys need our help," Emma said.

"But we are in the middle of a gladiator fight. Can't we just finish this before saving the others?" Axel asked.

"No!" Emma gave her a narrowed gaze.

Axel sighed. "Fine."

The two finalists rushed to Cameron's aid and Axel grabbed the squirrel and batted it away when it was about to shoot another laser.

"I never thought I'd say this, but thank you Axel," Cameron said gratefully.

The shot cut to the top box, where Chris was now being cornered by several mutant gophers. "The biohazardous waste was Chef's idea!" the host cried out defensively as the giant rodents closed around him, squealing angrily. "If you gotta chew someone's face off, chew his!" They moved in even further, forcing him to scream "HEEEEELP!" as he sank below their bodies.

A massive root-limb suddenly swept the gophers away, revealing the host crouched down with his hands on his head. He opened his eyes at the sound of a crash, and the shot cut backward to show Larry standing on the bottom wall of the empty seating area. He roared in triumph, prompting Chris to stand and smile in the direction his assailants had been thrown. "That's extra fertilizer for you tonight," he told his monstrous pet, the massive flytrap rubbing the host with its head as a touching tune played. "Awww. Now go out there and terrorize some loser contestants," he told him with a rub and a pat.

The mutated turtle roared as it had Tyler in between its legs as Dakota tried to pull him out. "Get off my boyfriend!"

"I'm losing my air!" Tyler said in pain.

Meanwhile, Beardo was being constantly punched by the tree monster while holding Noah in its tentacle as Dawn watched helplessly. "Oh, the tea leaves said nothing about this!" Dawn lamented.

"Yeah, my great great grandfather-" Staci spoke obliviously as the camera panned out to show her sitting on the tongue of Larry. The plant captured her by closing his mouth, and Shawn, Lindsay, Alejandro, and Mike all watched with fright before they were held captive by Larry's roots.

"Axel, you take down Larry. I'll help out the others," Emma said sternly before they went their separate ways.

First, Emma dashed towards the mutated tree and simply threw her sword at its eye, causing it to let go of Beardo and Noah and retract its tentacles.

The preppy girl then rushed over to Dakota and Tyler's aid. She immediately bonked the giant mutant turtle's leg, making it squeal and freeing Tyler from its hold.

"You can thank me after this is over!" Emma told them.

Axel looked at Larry and saw the four captives still screaming. "Think. Gotta think. What is his weak spot?" she said to herself before coming across the patch of land around his midsection. "Gotcha!"

Picking up a rock, Axel threw it up and swatted it with her bat, causing the rock to hit the patch and expose Larry's naked plant body. Larry then immediately covered his body and ran off after releasing Staci, Mike, Alejandro, Lindsay, and Shawn, the five cheering about their rescue.

"Now that that's over, we can get back to fighting!" Emma declared as she got back into her fight with Axel.

They began using their weapons to clash as if they were having a sword fight, and thunder and lightning had begun to roll and the clouds became dark as rain began pouring from the skies.

"You honestly think you can win. I had to take risk after risk to ensure my spot in this game and I'm not about to give up now. Especially with what I have in stake," Axel spoke furiously.

Emma leaned forward as she pushed Axel back. "After everything you've done, I am not about to let you win. I have plans to fulfill and a school to go to where people will accept me and I'm not going to lose them."

Suddenly, lightning struck from above and struck right onto Emma and Axel's weapons. Since they both had metal on them, they found themselves getting electrocuted.

The crowd was silent for a moment as Axel and Emma both feebly tried to stay standing, though they were obviously very weakened from the lightning strike.

The camera cut to a series of shots of the losers as they watched with concern. First Beardo, Dawn, Tyler, Dakota, and Shawn, and lastly Mike, Lindsay, Staci, Alejandro, Noah, and Cameron.

After a few seconds, a thud was heard, and the shot showed Axel now lying limp on the ground, dazed and weak.

Emma's supporters perked up. "Finish her!" Shawn called out first.

"Hurry up and pin her!" Noah added seconds later.

The rest of Emma's supporters continued to send encouragement her way.

Emma saw that Axel wasn't getting up, and after smiling weakly to herself, she leaned himself to fall on top of her.

"ONE!" the former contestants all called out together.

"TWO!"

"THREE!"

"She's done it!" Chris announced excitedly, arriving on the scene in his Chef-pulled chariot. "Emma has done it! Emma wins Total Drama Revenge of the Island, and the million dollar prize!"

"I did it!" Emma repeated in sheer disbelieving excitement as she was lifted up by her supporters and shown against a radiant golden background.

Confessional: Emma

"I finally won! Now I can get a taste of how people in public schools live!" Emma cheered ecstatically. "This was definitely a tough win given the contestants here were stronger than I expected, but hey, it was worth it."

Confessional: Axel

"Well, I didn't score that victory after what I had to go through, but I did make it to the final two. Second place is better than last place," Axel smirked proudly despite her loss earlier, but frowned again, "though I'll have to keep babysitting my little brothers, and they'll never let me live my loss down. You could call that karma if you want or not. I really don't care."

Confessionals End

The footage resumed on a shot of the season's twelve losers aboard a large speedboat with Chef at the wheel. A pan to the left along the Dock of Shame after the boat's engine started landed the focus on Chris and Emma, the host holding on to the prized briefcase. "Congratulations Emma. To the winner go the spoils," he said, the shot cutting in close to the case as its lid was flipped open. "One million dollars, in cold hard cash!" Chris announced, a radiant golden background appearing behind the money as a glorious tune played.

The case was closed and handed to the grinning starry-eyed preppy girl, who grabbed the case and jogged off to the boat.

"So, what are you gonna spend your prize money on?" Tyler asked Emma after she entered the boat. "World's largest Foosball table? 100 inch plasma screen?"

"We could go out for a spa day," Lindsay added.

"Don't think about sharing the money with us. You deserve all of it," Shawn grinned.

"Well, once I pay for my dream school, I'm going to save the money and only use it when I need it," Emma told her friends. "No way am I blowing it."

The camera cut outward as the boat finally started moving away from the dock.

"Well, that's it for another season," Chris said, the shot cutting to him as the music became solemn. He paused as the speedboat carrying the cast passed between him and the camera, then turned impishly towards them and said "Except for one last surprise I hid on their boat." He broke into a devilish grin, and the shot cut to the boat speeding across the lake. "First rule of showbiz," his hand rose up in front of the camera holding his remote control, "always go out with a bang." He pressed the button.

The perspective immediately inverted to show him getting caught up in an explosion that destroyed a good chunk of the dock. The former campers were shown cheering with glee, and the shot cut back just in time to catch Chris falling back down with a scream into the water. He quickly surfaced, spat out a mouthful of water, and sputtered around in confusion. "Huh?" he asked before the shot cut to Chef, the camera jumping in closer and closer to him in time with a high, sharp, and deadly tune, ending on his sly smirk. "CHEF!" the host yelled in anger.

He quickly cleared his throat, though, and as he did, the series's capstone theme began to play. "Until next time," he smiled at the camera, "I'm Chris McLean, and this has been Total!" The scene cut to the Mutant Forest of Death and its bizarre mushrooms. "Drama!" The shot cut to the bog, the small island where Larry had once taken root now empty. "Rrrevenge, of the Island!" The shot cut to the abandoned mine, its raised entrance still blocked by fallen rocks.

The shot cut to Chris, still floating by the Dock of Shame as the sound of a helicopter suddenly rose up along side a tense and dramatic tune. "You're busted, McLean!" an authoritarian voice said to the host's shock, prompting him to look up.

"For what?" Chris asked in outrage.

"Creating an environmental disaster, that's what!" the voice answered, the camera cutting outward to show not only the helicopters that were hovering over the beach but also the two groups of hazmat-suited people standing on the busted dock. "Residents of Wawanakwa," the voice announced, "your island is now under government protection! You're hereby quarantined!" The shot cut back in closer, showing the skinnier figures on the left holding water buckets and the muscular figures on the right holding mops. "Prepare for heavy scrub decontamination!"

The pained cries of Chris McLean filled the air as the camera cut out even further, showing the usual long-distance shot of the island as the boat carrying the rest of the cast passed by, the former contestants still laughing and cheering.

Author's Note: And with that, Emma's the winner of Total Mingled Revenge Of The Island. Axel did have sympathetic reasons to win, but her actions wouldn't have made her victory as satisfying as Emma's. Hopefully you guys enjoyed our take on Emma here. Without Chase, we had to give her a different background, so we made her a preparatory girl, but kept her attitude. We were gonna have Axel face off against Shawn, but that would've been predictable. And we wanted to have a Beauty vs. Brawn finale, with Emma and Axel filling those roles.

Had we kept Alejandro as the main antagonist as planned, he would've gotten rid of Noah in 6th place by winning immunity and using his sole vote to do it. Axel would've been 5th since Alejandro would idol her out. Lindsay would get 4th because of Emma and Shawn voting for her as an alliance. And Emma would take 3rd place, leaving Alejandro and Shawn as our original Final Two with Shawn winning. After thinking about it, we changed our plans to write the elimination order we have now, and we're glad we did so given the positive reception we got.

We'll be starting All-Stars next, and the contestants we have for that season will definitely surprise you.
