Space Princess and Green Lantern
Chapter 6
In the palace, Lord Victor and Queen Karma had hosted a festival for Dimitri after saving their kingdom from the Manhunter invasion. They feast at the grand hall where servants prep food and beverages for the king and queen and guests.
Some of the food were a bit different but Dimitri knows wherever he travels to other planets in the universe.
"I propose a toast to new hero of our kingdom, Green Lantern Dimitri Petrov of Earth." Lord Victor said raising a wine cup.
A few guests, some soldiers and even the council raise their cups including Mandie and her friends.
Dimitri smiles and the celebration feast begins. The guests begin chattering with one another. Dimitri sees the food that is served and takes a bite of it.
"So, Dimitri. How do you like it?" Princess Mandie asks.
"It's good. It's like food back on Earth." The Russian replied.
"I'm glad." Mandie said while smiling.
Dimitri then sees his cup with is full of weird liquid. He place it to his lips and it tastes like vodka. He thinks of his father's comrades who enjoy the beverage.
"Something bothering you?" Mandie asks.
"N-no. This remind me of home. My father and his friends enjoy vodka." The Russian replied.
"Vodka?"
"It's an alcoholic drink. It's a bit strong but it is enjoyable."
Mandie smiles along with her friends.
"I would like to try this vodka one day" Bellatrix said.
"Me too" Charon added in.
Dimitri smiles at that.
"So, Dimitri, is it?"
The Green Lantern turns to King Victor.
"This Green Lantern that you are. Who is this?" He asks.
"TheGreen Lantern Corpsis an intergalactic police force dedicated to protecting sentient life in every form, established thousands of years ago by theGuardians. Officers are chosen for their ability to overcome great fear and given apower ringfueled by the strength of theirwillpower, the mightiest weapon in the universe." Dimitri explains
"Power Ring?" Queen Karma asks in confusion.
Dimitri shows the Boudacians his ring which glows.
"What purpose does that piece of jewelry would do?" One male Boudacian asked Dimitri.
Dimitri creates an AK-47 riffle which amazes the crowd at the table.
"Your ring can do that?" King Victor asks.
"There's more than that" Dimitri replied, he dissolves the construct before creating a small version of a WW2 T34/85 tank. It moves around the table before it turns its turret at a wall and fires its gun at it, creating a hand sized wall. The people including Lord Victor and Lady Karma were amazed by Dimitri's demonstration.
"Impressive, human. Some of my warriors told me about your creation and combat skills." Lord Victor said, impressed.
"It's my willpower that help turn the tide against the Manhunters" Dimitri replied.
"So why all of this... Green?" Karma asks referring to the Green Lantern suit and the constructs.
"It represents Willpower. There are six different corps that has its own emotions: Blue by Hope, Red by Anger, Pink by Love , Indigo by Compassion, Orange by Greed, and Yellow by Fear." Dimitri explains.
"Hmm. It is interesting." Victor says.
"So, those Manhunters that we fought, what are they?" Lady Karma asks Dimitri.
The Green Lantern explains to the Boudacian rulers about the machines that were once the Forruners of the Green Lantern Corps created by the Gaurdians long ago. However, they went rogue and destroy everything including inhabitants. Those with emotions are decla criminals and they are punished by death.
Lord Victor and Lady Karma were amazed by the details of the Manhunters and their origins.
"So the Manhunters destroy people because of their emotions." Victor says.
"Happiness, sadness and other emotions are declared illegal by the Manhunters and the punishment is death" Dimitri replied.
"Hmm... We should prepare if they ever come back" Lord Victor said.
"In the meantime, Dimitri, you should stay in the guest room because of your duty and heroism. Oir servants will show you" Lady Karma said.
A pair of Boudacian servants arrive and lead Dimitri through the palace to the guest room which is across the hall from Mandie's bedroom. Dimitri enters and it amazed by his room. It is nearly similar to one of the mansion rooms back in Moscow.
Dimitri settles down in his new room before laying on his bed. He smiles as he is granted hospitality by the rulers of Boudacia.
