Six Years Ago
Shinsou sat in his cell with the other kids. He'd been sold to the villains by his mommy and daddy. This place was terrible. Him and the other kids here were tortured. Tested on and made to fight each other. Shinsou just wanted to run away. Leave this place behind. Even without his mommy and daddy.
Just as he was about fall asleep the door opened, "Wake up!" The big man yelled as walked in. A smaller villain was behind him. Unlike him though he looked reserved. Like he didn't want to be there. Short curly green hair, a black hoodie, and grey cargo pants. His bright eyes analyzed everything around him.
"This little beast brats, is you new guard dog." Reaching back he grabbed Izuku by the hair and pushed him forward, "His owner is busy training with the boss so now he's yours."
Things changed over the next few weeks. The boy brought them extra food and snacks. Any time they were to hurt from either test or fights, he'd come in. Taking care of their wounds and bringing them water to recover. Than something changed.
Shinsou didn't know what was going on but he could tell the boy had changed. He was on edge. Looking at every little thing. Something was wrong and he was scared. That was until explosions started going off somewhere in the facility.
Three guards ran in before turing their guns and quirks on the door. That didn't save them though. A wolf sped through taking the arm off the first one. Fire shot from it's mouth killing the second one. The thrid was against the wall. Pulling out a pistol he started firign but it didn't help. The wolf bit down on his neck and pulled.
All the kids were crying scared. That's when Shinsou saw his eyes. It was the same as the guard dog boy."
Before shifting back he broke every lock, "Come on! The heroes are here! I need to hide you so t-the villains don't get you!"
Entrance Exam
Shinsou walked into the gates of UA. He was nervous but he was ready to show that the kid with a villain quirk could be a hero. Be like him. Shinsou just needed to pass this test. That was till he tripped, only he didn't fall.
Opening his eyes he was floating, "What the he-"
"I'm sorry! I know I should of asked to use my quirk but I thought it be bad luck to fall on your first day!" Shinsou looked at her confidently before smiling, "Thanks. I appreciate it."
"Well we better get going." Releasing her quirk he fell back down, "Good luck in there!"
Sitting through the instructions was torture. Shinsou though sat through them. Finally getting into the exam site Shinsou saw the robots and froze. 'My quirk! It won't do anything!'
Running into building he ran. Looking for anything he could use as a weapon. How does fix this! Running back out he saw a small boy with what looked like grapes on his head. He was about to get crushed by a three pointer. Thinking of the wolf boy he moved, pulling him away from the danger.
This went on for most of the test. He couldn't fight but he could at least save people. Before he knew it giant kaiju style robots started destroying everything around them. Just as he was about to turn around he heard a scream for help. Scanning the area he saw the girl that had helped him earlier. His need to survive was overridden by his need to save. Be like him!
Sprinting as fast as he could until was directly in front of the gravity girl, "Are you okay? What hurts?" Looking up with hopeful eyes, "My leg. I think it's broke!"
"Can you use your gravity to get it off of you?" She shook her head violently, "No! I'm at my limit!"
Rolling his eyes slightly, "Come on Gravity Girl! Is that all you got?" She glared at him for a moment, "What no-" Her eyes went white as he felt the tether of control, "Use your quirk to lift the debris."
Instantly she obeyed. As the giant block lifted up, using the opportunity to get her out. After releasing her he lifted her up over his shoulders and ran. They kept moving until finally the exam was stopped. Setting her down he laid back, "Holy shit."
"Holy shit is right! I didn't even throw up. What's your quirk?!" She asked with a giant smile, "It's…...Brainwashing."
Her eyes lit up, "That is amazing! You overrode my limit. What else you could do I wonder?" Her smile took him off guard, "My name is Ochako Uraraka by the way!"
"Oh um…..Shinsou Hitoshi." He looked sheepishly at her, "I hope we're in the same class! Here give me your phone."
"what?" He sputtered with his phone in his hand. She snatched it from his hand. After putting her number in she handed it back, "Here! Now we are friends."
"Yeah, friends." He couldn't fight the smile on his face.
"Oh my. Do you two need any healing?" Both looked up to see an small old woman approaching them, "I'm Recovery Girl. A hero that takes care of all you hero hopefuls!"
"Oh um, I'm fine. But Uraraka here definitely broke her leg." Catching Shinsou off guard by giving the girl a kiss. Almost immediately she felt the exhaustion, "I healed it all the way but you are going to be tired. So go home and get some sleep."
After saying goodbye to Uraraka he went back to the group home. Not expecting anyone to actually talk to him at all. He decided it was best to get to bed. Laying in his bed he couldn't help but smile. He may not of passed but at least he tried. All he had to do now was win the Sports Festival.
A knock on his room door woke him up the next morning, "Hitoshi. Get up." Jumping out of bed he looked a the rep as she, "Get down stairs. You surprisingly got a couple that are here to see you specifically. Don't get why they want to indulge a villain."
Walking into the room he froze. There were two men sitting there. The first one he recognized immediately. His second favorite hero Eraserhead was sitting in this very room. The other man he didn't recognize. His long blonde hair was tied in a knot, "Have a seat."
"Now Aizawa-san and Yamada-san. This is Shinsou Hitoshi." Aizawa nodded, "Yes we actually know of him."
"What?!" Shinsou blushed as he realized he yelped, "You did great in the Hero Exam yesterday little listener."
That's when it clicked. They were heroes that were at UA. Everything froze. Why were they here? Was it because they wanted to tell the villainous kid he couldn't be a hero? No that couldn't have been it. They said he performed well right?
"I see you going crazy kid. Relax, we have an offer for you. One that you don't have to accept obviously." Now he was just confused. What could they offer him? He was a nobody. Someone that they shouldn't even waste their time on.
"This is Yamada Hizashi and I'm Aizawa Shouta. You probably know him as Present Mic. I'm also a hero. I go by-"
"Eraserhead." It took a second to compute that he had just spoken out loud. Feeling his face heating up he looked down at his lap, "Sorry."
"How did you know that?" He shrugged slightly, "Guess you're my second favorite hero."
"Second? Whose your first?" Hitoshi looked at him with a tired expression, "Don't know his name. I just know he saved me."
Aizawa couldn't help but smirk, "Do you want out of this group home?" Time felt like it stopped. That couldn't be why they were here. There was absolutely no way.
"I-yes but-" Hizashi grinned, "NO butts kiddo! Our son needs a brother. Not only that but you have more in common with Shouta here than you may think."
Hitoshi huffed in annoyance at the comparison until the quiet man spoke, "Villainous quirk. People act as if you could use it to get what you want or to hurt them. So everyone treats that way. Either in fear or in pure obedience to stay on your good side. Move home to home because nobody wants a dangerous kid. So you don't keep close friends or even try." The purple boy was stunned, staring at the man with an open mouth, "Yeah figured I was close."
"You want to be a hero. We can give you extra training to develop your martial skills. Not to mention we have a son your age who will be happy to see you." "What makes you say that?" Hitoshi spoke with daggers, "You'll just have to come see."
After talking for a few more hours Hitoshi agreed to go with them. They seemed genuine for now. Though he would just wait and see. It wasn't as if people were ever nice to him for very long.
Arriving at the apartment, Hitoshi could tell it was well lived in. There was a cat sitting on the back of the couch which got his attention instantly. Aizawa took him to a room with an open door, "This is your room. The one next to it is Izuku's. I'm sure he'll be home soon. Get set up, lunch will be ready soon."
Moving numbly he emptied his small bag of things. Making sure it was sort of set to his liking. He never went to into settign up rooms. He wasn't ever there long. Getting changed into sweat pants and a hoodie Hitoshi made his way to the living room. Sitting on the couch with a cat until he hear the front door open.
"Hitoshi Shinsou." Izuku watched as the boy turned around. Frozen, there was a recognition in the other boy's eyes. Standing up he saw how nervous he was, "You're…...you're him!" His own eyes filled with water.
"Your eyes are the same. Your that wolf boy." Izuku chuckled, "You remember me?"
Hitoshi nodded slowly. The bags under his eyes lightened at the sight of him, "I um yes. You saved us." His hands were shaking, "You saved us from them and risked everything. It was amazing. I won't every forget."
Izuku blushed, "I just couldn't let them hurt you anymore not like they…"
"Did you?" Izuku nodded, "Thank you." Bowing infront of the boy. Watching him stand back up Izuku couldn't resist before jumping at him and hugging him. Hitoshi felt his bones pop, "I'm so glad you are okay Shinou."
"Hitoshi." Izuku tilted his head causing Hitoshi to chuckle, "You saved my life. Please call me Hitoshi."
"I'm Aizawa Izuku now. You can call me Izuku."
Izuku sat down next to Hitoshi while they waited for lunch. The two didn't really know what to say. Izuku could hear his dads talking in the kitchen. Looking at the purple boy, "So your quirk is called Brainwashing. I saw you use it! It's super cool! How long can you hold control? Does it work on multiple people? Can people break free of it?"
"You saw me use it?" Izuku froze before turning red, "Oh yeah. I got in on recommendation, so Uncle Nedzu let me watch. I usually get to watch but this year was so much better! I got to see all my future classmates!"
"Damn. Of course your in on recommendation. Wouldn't expect much less from the one who took out villains when you were what seven?" Izuku couldn't help but blush at that, "Also I don't know my limits. Most people don't let me practice my quirk. I do know that a slight hit would make me release them."
"That's so cool! I can't wait to practice your quirk." Hitoshi was shocked. He couldn't imagine anyone ever wanting to help him. Someone to actually want to help him.
"Yeah I probably should have warned you. The brat would want to help you train. It's just how he is." Shouta had a soft smile on his face as he waved them into the dinning room. Both boys sat down and gave thanks before eating. Izuku dived right in to his plate. Hitoshi was baffled by the sheer amount of food on his plate.
Hizashi seeing this couldn't help but giggle, "Crazy huh? His appetite is insane sometime. I thinkits because of his wolf but we don't really know."
After dinner the four spent time trying to get to know each other. Hitoshi learned that Izuku's berst 'friend' was a boy he had re-met from his childhood. His favorite hero was Eraserhead. He loved heroes, analyzing, and walking around in his wolf form. Hizashi loved music which was why he became the DJ hero. That he and Shouta met in highschool when Eraser won the Sports Festival. It had been a great night even though it felt unreal.
On their way to bed Izuku asked, "You never told me your favorite hero." Blushing Hitoshi tried looking away from the other boy, "Well um you are actually my favorite hero."
"WHAT?! I'm not even a hero!" Izuku's face got really dark. Rubbing his neck Hitoshi answered, "Maybe not. To us though, you saved us. You put yourself in danger to help us. We never forgot about that."
Izuku's face scrunched as he thought about the implications there, "We?" Hitoshi stopping at his door looked over at his now foster brother, "Yeah. A lot of us found each other and kept in contact. We have all hoped that you were able to be saved."
Before Izuku could say anything else. Hitoshi closed the door to his room leaving Izuku standing there with shock and embarrassment. Shifting into his wolf he curled up on himself. Thinking about all those children that were being experimented on. Then thinking about everything that Sensei had done to him. Before falling asleep and dreaming of being back there again.
Shouta checked on his kids. Now that he had two of them. Hitoshi was sound asleep. Probably exhausted from the days events. Checking on the little wolf though he opened the door to hear whining. It was soft but pained. Going up to the massive canine he could see that Izuku was dreaming. Not a pleasant one either. Both cats snuck in to curl up with Izuku. Placing his hand on his snout he placed a kiss between the wolf's eyes, "I'm sorry it had taken so long to save you Izuku."
Eventually the wait for their acceptance into the hero course was finally over. Izuku saw his dad hiding his face into his scarf as he walked into the apartment, "Hey Izuku, why don't you go get ready. We have company tonight. You to Hitoshi."
At this point the brainwasher had lived with them for two weeks almost. Izuku had loved it though. Hitoshi was quite quieter than he was. Calm and tired most of the time. He reminded Izuku of his dad. The way he was so similar. They walked the same, constantly napping, and then the love for all things coffee and cats made Izuku feel close to him. If only he could get over the reverence at which he looks at Izuku.
Running to his room Izuku looked at all his clothes. The drive to dress nice with Kachan coming over made him nervous. He was starting to get what he was feeling. Izuku worried though. Were these feelings from his wolf and just part of instincts he couldn't fight or were they real. It scared Izuku and he wasn't sure if he should talk to him about it.
After picking his casual but still nice attire. He ran out to hear the door open and the loud banter of Kachan and his mother, "Damn it brat! We would have been here sooner if you had fucking taken less time to get ready!"
"Shut up you hag! We are eating dinner at a heroes house!" Izuku giggled at seeing the confusion on Hitoshi's face. It wasn't a secret he was already overwhelmed. Grabbing his hand Hitoshi couldn't help but jump but took it anyway, "Don't worry. Kachan is actually a softy."
"What did you say Okami!" Izuku yelped as the boy stomped towards him, "What you are!"
Bakugo stuffed his hands in his pocket, "Yeah but you don't have to tell him that! Who is he anyway!" Glaring at the held hand like it offended him.
"This is my new brother Shinsou Hitoshi!" Izuku pulled the shy boy towards him, "Not brother exactly." The mutter went unnoticed by the boys but was caught by the adults.
"Wait." Bakugo looked him over, "You were at the entrance exam."
It took a minute but then Shinsou's eyes widened, "Oh yeah I saw you there to."
"You should of seen Kachan! He was so fast, his quirk is explosion. Kachan makes nitroglycerin which he ignites with his hands."
"Stop telling him everything about me!" Izuku giggled as he let go of Hitoshi's hand and grabbed Bakugo's. Hitsohi noted that the boy took it without any complaint.
"Come on brats." Aizawa interrupted, "Dinner is ready."
Everyone sat down and ate. Izuku told Bakugo about his new borther's quirk. Hitoshi was nervous but was utterly shocked, "Damn good quirk for a hero. Powerful to."
Aizawa almost couldn't hold back his smile, "He's right. It's why we started training in hand to hand and stealth. You'll make an incredible underground hero."
Hitoshi couldn't hold back the tears that filled his eyes. They were all supportive and he wasn't to sure how to handle it, "Hope you are hungry for desert!" Hizashi's voice carried effortless through the apartment, "But FIRST!"
He pulled out two envelopes. Izuku smiled with his dads before his Papa handed the two boys their envelopes. Bakugo looked at it before almost growling at Izuku, "Damn it mutt! You knew we were doing this didn't you!"
Izuku shrugged, "I knew they were going to give them to you! I didn't know we were doing it today though till an hour ago!"
Bakguo didn't wait. Taring apart the envelope with vigor. Only to freeze as a small disk fell out. Before he could ask anything it activated, "I AM HERE AS A HOLOGRAM!"
Izuku jumped in excitement to see All Might causing the explosive boy to smile, "Katsuki Bakugo! You performed extremely well in the Hero Exam. First off, you scored a ninety-two percent on the written portion which is good enough to get you into UA. That is not what you want to here though!"
Videos of him taking down robots appeared. The way moved made it seem almost effortless. Like he was doing it pure on instinct, "You scored First place on the Practical with 78 villain points! Welcome to yourHero Academia."
Izuku wrapped his arms around Bakugo, "I'm so proud of you Kachan!" Blushing he tried to look away, "Yeah what ever. Go ahead sleepy eyes."
Hitoshi was slower. Opening it with a sense of fear of being rejected, "I AM HERE AS A HOLOGRAM! Hitoshi Shinsou! You passed the written exam with a eighty-seven percent. Giving you access to general studies. In the practical you scored zero villain points. Which would normally not qualify you for heroics."
He couldn't stop his shoulders from sagging in defeat, "But WAIT THERE'S MORE! What kind of hero school would we be if we didn't look at acts of heroism!" Videos of him pulling people out of the way of attacks and finally saving Uraraka played on the vid, "We have a hidden aspect in the test. You scored sixty-two hero points making you pass! Welcome Shinsou to your Hero Academia."
The video shut off and Hitoshi was awestruck, "I passed."
"You passed!" Izuku cheered. Aizawa smirked, "You three are going to be heroes. So be ready because your pain is just beginning."
