Chapter 317

Hiccups POV:

Morning had come too early for me after last night's issues with Ibrahim and his men but knowing the sooner I dealt with these issues, the better it would be for everyone. I'd already gone through my morning rituals of to get ready for the day by washing my face, getting dressed and helping my wives wake the kids up while they prepared breakfast for all of us. Before I went to breakfast, I sent a message to my friends in Arabia to let them know what happened last night and I'd send them word on what I found out as soon as I'd interrogated them. After breakfast, I put Brant, Chara and Hunter in charge of helping them close things up at the bazaar before I went to the Berk dungeons to begin my interrogations. When I got there, I pulled them into my shadow and one by one, took them each into my crystal skull room, one by one for interrogation and found out the men were mostly hired bandits and thugs from the cities who wanted to make some money. Ibrahim on the other hand had numerous clients all wanting their own dragons as a sign of power and it wasn't just the royals who knew about me but numerous bandit group leaders who were wanted in numerous cities and by numerous traders. After that, I'd sent word to my allies in Arabia and letting them know what I'd discovered and that was awaiting their reply to see what they wanted me to do.

This brings us to now with me sitting in my private room while waiting for a reply from a reply from my allies in Arabia and enjoying a good book from one of my shelves. I was brought out of my thoughts when a letter finally came through and placed my book on the table after marking the page I was on and grabbing the message. I sat down and opened the letter which as expected, was written in Arabian and after going through the letter, I knew that it was time for another Arabian vacation since in addition to wanting the bandits delivered, they all wanted to meet Hunter since they consider us family and wanted to meet the newest addition. I couldn't blame them since in the sultans' eyes, Hunter is his newest grandson while in the eyes of his children, he's their newest nephew. Still, it would take time to preparing for the trip, even though we'd be staying in the palace then I'd need time to let my parents know that I was taking my family to Arabia and what I found out. I took a breath and stood up before heading out, knowing this was going to be one busy day for me since my dad never did like it when I went travelling out of nowhere.

Nightfall the next day

Yesterday had been a long day to say the least since my dad wanted to be sure everything would be alright after we left since it was still winter and although the dragons made things easier, it didn't hurt to be prepared. Fortunately, there wasn't that many problems to deal with that day since the dragons made things easier while my island helped supply a lot of the food that's used in the village, and we'd ensured the stores were fully stocked so nothing to worry about. As for the stuff belonging to Ibrahim and his men, the weapons and cages were given to Gobber to melt down and repurpose, the wagons were given to the village to use, and Ibrahim's goods were put into my spiderpack until we could figure out what to do with them. Long story short, I slept like a baby last night after helping pack everything we'd need with my wives and an hour after breakfast, we said our goodbye to our relatives and took off through the portal door. Toothless, Twilight, Havard, my wives' dragons and the terrors were accompanying us this time since Toothless is not a dragon I go anywhere without while the others were coming because I didn't want the kids to lose out on their training and Havard was going to be acting as Hunters guard dog while my wives' dragons would do the same for them.

As anyone could guess, we were welcomed warmly by the royal family and the guards including Kadar with all of them eager to greet us and introduce themselves to Hunter. After that we were taken to our rooms to settle down with the baby's getting their own room of course that had been set up for them in advance for when we come by to visit. Once we were all settled in, my family was able to go enjoy themselves with my older kids going to explore the palace with their dragons while my wives helped the babies settle into their temporary nursery. As for Toothless and I, we'd spent the entire day helping the Sultan and Kadar deal with Ibrahim and the bandits he hired with word being spread out to all the neighboring cities of Ibrahim's crimes and how he wouldn't be doing business with them in the future. Then there were the bandits who were captured, all of which were now in the dungeon and awaiting further punishment after I use my crystal skull room to find their groups bases so we could deal with their allies and their leaders who were wanted for too many crimes to mention. It took us three hours dealing with these bandits and another two finding out where their main bases were before discussing things about which groups to attack and which ones to leave to the guards who would be sent out to capture them.

Now it was nightfall, and we were all now in the palace dining room enjoying a feast that was thrown in our honor for capturing the bandits and to apologies for the problems Ibrahim caused me. We were also using it as an opportunity to catch up on things that have happened since the last time we saw each other, including how I met Hunter and what his life's been like before and after I found out about him. They were horrified by how badly he and his mother were treated and promised that he'd face no such troubles here in the palace, but he should still keep his guard up in case of people wanting to kidnap him for ransom. He just brought out his axes and told us that he could handle himself if anyone tried and then he gestured Havard over from his meal and said that it was unlikely that they'd make it past Havard. Havard let out a growl at this while letting his flames grow a bit making everyone lean back a bit until Hunter signaled him to stand down and he returned to his original place and meal with the dragons. It was then that I was brought out of my thoughts by Aamin asked.

"So, do you have any plans of taking any more wives?" I chuckled and shrugged.

"Hard to say since it's hard to find a girl who isn't after me for the fame or money and willing to be one of multiple wives but also have the approval of my other wives and kids." He nodded. "Still though, in addition to this I have my hands full with my current wives." Everyone chuckled, but Astrid and Hadasa gave me a slap before the Sultan said.

"Women are truly the most difficult creatures to understand in the world my boy." Every man at the table nodded while the women just rolled their eyes or shook their heads before the sultan sighed. "And I'd like nothing more than to have those same headaches given to me by wife just once more." We all looked down knowing how much he missed her before he shook his head. "Sorry, let's just get back to the meal." We all nodded and began eating again before I decided to change the subject.

"So, what's going to Ibrahim's goods and profits, including those he left on Berk." The sultan nodded.

"Well, the items that are here in Arabia will be sold to numerous traders who can be trusted but the items left on your island, I believe you should keep them as an apology for all the trouble you had to deal with." I smiled.

"I can't turn that down since for a crook, he had some pretty good things for sale." He smiled and nodded before we returned to our meal.

4 days later

It's been four days since we came to Arabia and since then, things have mostly been peaceful with the only issue being a couple of women flirting with me and my three eldest sons even though Hunter's the only one old enough to date. Other than that, we'd enjoyed our time in the city exploring the bazaar, but we'd only been able to go out once since word travels fast and the moment people found out about me being back, they all but threw themselves, their daughters and their goods at us. After that, we'd just returned to the palace and stayed there but I'd been taking my eldest children out into the desert on my scorpion to begin attacking the bandit camps we now knew the location of. In doing so, the kids got some more real-world experience when it comes to combat and this time it was in the shifting sand which is a lot different to the solid ground they normally fight on, especially Hunter and Egil who had very little experience fighting on sand. Egil had the toughest time though since in battle, he relied a lot on his skates which allowed him speed, but the sand made it difficult for the skates to form ice for him to skate on and just skate in general. It was because of this he'd had a few close calls when dealing with some of the bandits who were a bit faster, but his siblings were able to take them down before they could touch him.

Now though I was on my traveling scorpion, travelling to one of the neighboring cities since the messenger that was sent there to inform then about Ibrahim never returned even though it was a full day's trip there and another one to come back meaning he should have been back two days ago. Since he was one of the palaces most reliable messengers it was worrisome for the sultan which is why he'd sent me to make sure the message got through and see if I could find his messenger. This brings us to now with me standing on top of my scorpion while looking in the distance at the city I was sent to visit but I was brought out of my thoughts by the sound of a growl from behind me and turned to see Toothless, sticking his head out of the tent. I smiled and patted his head as I said.

"We're almost there bud, just a few more minutes by scorpion." He growled and nudged me, signaling me that he wanted to fly the rest of the way making me chuckle. "Alright, maybe it would be better if we flew in the rest of the way since the last thing, we need is merchants coming at me with offers for my scorpion." He growled and ran out of the tent, hopping off the scorpion as it stopped before I dismounted in and got to work on putting it away and once both my scorpion and tent were put away, I mounted Toothless, and we took off towards the city.

1 hour later

It's been an hour since we arrived in the city and the moment I arrived, I knew something was wrong due to one simple reason and that is the entire city was completely deserted. The streets had nobody walking down them, the houses were empty, and the palace was completely deserted, but what truly scared me was that there were signs of struggles in most places meaning there'd been a fight or at least a small struggle. Surprisingly the streets had somehow been dug up a little which was confusing and along with this there were indents in the walls of most of the buildings as if something had pierced them to climb up. After searching for ten minutes, I'd summoned my ninja and sent them out to search for anyone or clues as to what happened while I used my kitsune mask to check for scents and to see what happened.

What I saw shocked me since it looked like black sharks armored with their own skeletons that had small legs like those of a centipede made from bones were attacking the buildings or swimming through the dirt of the streets attacking people using tow fingered arms in their mouths to pull them in. Some people tried to fight back, including citizens trying to protect their families alongside the guards but they were pulled into the mouths of the beasts. Once they'd eaten their victim, they'd go back underground and swim through the streets ignoring other people and after following them I saw why. They would disappear beneath the sands before returning a few minutes later and going back to the city to claim more victims. I watched as they did this until there were no more people in the city which is when they all sunk beneath the sands and just giant disappeared with no trail.

Now I was in the palace throne room with Toothless behind me as I quietly meditated while waiting for a report to be brought by my ninja who I had sent out into the city to check for any form of life half an hour ago and clues as to what those sharks that attacked the city were. It was then I felt a breeze flow across my face and took a breath before I asked.

"Did you find anyone?" I opened my eyes and found all the ninja I'd summoned including the masters, kneeling in front of me with the masters shaking their heads making me sigh. "We need to inform the royals about this." I stood up and mounted Toothless. "You guys can go back to training your clan members but keep your guard up since I might need to call you all back to deal with whatever did this." They nodded before disappearing into the shadows while Toothless and I took off.

3 hours later

I was back in the throne room with Toothless, my family members except the babies, their dragons, the sultan, Amira, Aamin, Jahid, Kaamisha and Kadar along with a handful of guards after telling them all what happened. The Sultan stroked his beard in thought as he said.

"The entire city populace was captured by bone sharks?" I nodded as Jahid said.

"Are you sure Hiccup." I nodded.

"I know what my mask showed me, and I know those things were only after the people since it took no valuables." Astrid then said.

"So, you think there's a reason those things took the people?" I nodded.

"Yeah, but I'm not sure what." Chiaki replied.

"So, do you think whatever attacked the city may come here?"

"I'm not sure, but it is a possibility so it's best to be prepared in case." Everyone nodded as the sultan said.

"I will double the guards around the city and have them all warned to keep an eye on the sands for any strange movements." He turned to Kadar. "Kadar go and inform the guards on duty of what is to come." Kadar slammed his fist to his chest.

"At once sire!" He then left to do as he was told before the sultan turned to me.

"Hiccup, if it is not asking too much could you return to the city and look for anything you may have missed and try to pick up the trail of those things?" I bowed.

"I'll be happy to sire." I mounted Toothless before turning to my wives and kids. "Keep an eye out for anything strange while I'm gone." They all nodded as Toothless gave a roar and growl to the dragons who nodded before we took off.

3 hours later

It's been three hours since we left the city in order to once again, check the abandoned city for any clues as to what happened and this time I was examining the sands outside the city for any sign of movement incase any of those things came back or left a trail. I was lucky and found a weak trail left behind and took off on my travelling scorpion with my kitsune mask on and followed it to where they came from hoping it'd provide a clue. For the past hour I'd been following said trail and found a few deserted trading camps that I knew had seen better days since it looked like the sharks had travelled through them and did to the traders what they did to the citizens. Now the trail was coming to an end and what I saw made me all the more nervous since Toothless and I were now looking down at a hole as deep as the cliffs New Berk was built on and wide as the village itself. The reason I was nervous because of this is that this pit meant either one of two things or both of two things and that meant there were more of these creatures wondering the desert than I originally thought or one very big one out there. With this new knowledge I pulled my scorpion and my tent back into storage before mounting Toothless and taking off back to the city at full speed.

Morning

It's been a day since I returned to the palace and since then royals had been informed of what I found and had Kadar inform all the guards about what we could be facing and made sure the guards were ready to protect the city. To ensure the safety, I'd begun making some large spy glasses for the city walls with the help of the city blacksmiths while Astrid and Blanca took to the skies on their own dragons to patrol the area. Hadasa on the other hand had set up some pods in the sands which would bloom when the sharks were near while Chiaki had helped convince and bring in the citizens who preferred to live outside the city to farm the land. Chara had been put in charge of keeping an eye on her baby siblings while Brant helped me set up spy glasses, Egil helped deliver supplies to the guards and Hunter readied a few of his own traps in the sands alongside Hadasa hoping to at least slow the sharks down and although I knew it wouldn't do much, I was proud that he was willing to help despite knowing there wasn't much he could do.

Now I was standing on the wall that surrounds the city, Toothless next to me in full armor and my Helios slingshot I looked out at the horizon as the sun rose over the desert after a restless night sleep due to the worry, even with my wives doing their best to comfort me, even promising to stay out of the fight. It did little to soothe my worries since I'd be helping protect a city from what could possibly be an army of demonic skeleton sharks which we have no knowledge of. Still, I'd been in stranger situations, but just to help make sure the village guards wouldn't have to be put into danger and to hopefully narrow down the number of sharks, I'd brought out all types of my Egyptian warriors, spartan warriors, jade warriors and summoned a few golems to be prepared.

Using my eagle, it was then I saw the sands in the distance begin to shift and something swimming around in it, making me tighten my grip on the strings of my slingshot. When the sand began to be thrown up in different lines, I knew the sharks were coming and cried out to my forces set out in front of the wall to get ready and they all prepared while I began spinning my slingshot as Toothless growled and got ready for a fight. A few moments later a form jumped from the sand revealing a skeletal shark and I let the stone fly and hit it just as it dived back below the sands, and this was the signal for the battle to begin.

5 minutes later

Nobodies POV:

The battle had fully become a full out defensive battle with the sharks beginning their full-on attack on Hiccups forces, remaining under the sands until they were near and then jumping out at their foes. Hiccups troops were quick to use the opportunity to attack them, sticking them down by slamming down their weapons on their foes and in the case of the spear or blade wielders, stabbing their weapons in with the Seth warriors at the front stopping any charging sharks. In the case of Hiccups archers though, the second one of the sharks appeared in the distance, they'd fill it up with as many arrows as they could before they could either sink or reach the front lines. Hiccup remained on the wall with his own bow taking the place of his Helios slingshot with black fletching arrows being used to destroy the sharks he hits while Toothless would shoot any movements in the sands with a plasma blast forcing the sharks out. The sharks who were defeated were reduced to black dust once they were killed which would then be blown back to where they originally came from. Still though, the sharks gave as good as they got and had already defeated the majority of the jade warriors and half the spartan warriors and a large chunk of Hiccups Egyptian forces.

Hiccup looked at his forces and knew they wouldn't be able to last forever so this battle needed to end as soon as possible, and he also knew that if you want to kill a snake, you cut off its head meaning if he wanted this battle to end then he'd need to take out the source of these sharks. With this in mind, Hiccup quickly mounted Toothless and said.

"Come on bud, we need to destroy wherever these sharks are coming from." He growled and nodded before taking off from the wall, full speed to where the sharks were coming from and as soon as the latest one came out, they took aim at the spot. "NOW TOOTHLESS, MULTIPLE BLASTS AT THAT SPOT WHERE THE SHARKS SUNK IN!"

Toothless growled and nodded before releasing multiple blasts at the same spot causing sand to fly everywhere until a roar echoed from beneath actually throwing Toothless back a little. Then from the sands rose a shark's skull, the size of the red deaths head burst from the sand with flowing darkness forming in the cracks and between its bones with glowing red orbs in its eyes, before it roared again while opening its mouth wide. A second later tentacles made from bones that looked like spinal cords, ending with bladelike bones at the ends of them launched at them, all aiming for the dragon and its rider. Hiccup immediately brought out his star sword while Toothless got ready to move and do quick movements to avoid being struck by the tentacles.

A few seconds later, the tentacles reached them, and they began dodging the tentacles, but they never touched them with Toothless being able to dodge most of them and the ones that got too close, Hiccup would block and knock them away with his star sword. He'd also occasionally use the chance to slice the tentacles if he was able to get them before they'd be out of the range of his star swords blade but sadly, it didn't do much since they'd grow back nearly instantly and continue the attack. The two wouldn't let this get them down though and would keep up the attack since this at least prevented it from creating new sharks or reviving the ones that were destroyed. Hoping to do a little more damage, Hiccup pulled out a handful of orange Loki balls and threw them down into the mouth of the beast which then exploded at the base of the tentacles and around the mouth making the shark roar in pain. Hiccup and Toothless didn't get the chance to celebrate as one of the tentacles was able catch them by surprise and struck Toothless' prosthetic tail fin, sending them both into a nosedive right into the mouth of the beast. As soon as they entered the mouth, the jaws snapped closed, leaving things looking grim with the dragon and its rider completely engulfed by the beast.

For a few moments, the only thing either of them could see was darkness as they fell deeper into the belly of the beast right before Toothless let out a roar, allowing him to use echo location to see what was happening as he took back control and found a place to land. Once they landed, the place lit up with small crystals embedded into the walls that were the sharks' bodies, glowing a dark green, allowing them to see the tentacles sink back into the walls. Before they could do anything though, a light illuminated the floor to form a lit pathway of sorts as if inviting the two to come down if they dared. Knowing that it might lead to the source of this beast's power, the two of them made their way down but kept their guard up since they knew it could be a trap. The deeper they went, the darker it got and Hiccup kept his sword ready and had his eagle shield ready with Toothless having a plasma blast ready to fire. They eventually came to stand on what looked like some kind of platform in the center of a chamber with the only light being from the crystals lining the platform before spine chilling laugh echoed through the chamber. Both Hiccup and Toothless immediately got ready for a fight before a voice from above said.

"Hiccup Haddock, at long last we meet again."

Hiccup and Toothless looked up to see a body slowly lowered down onto another platform in front of them which illuminated the body to show a figure. This figure was so thin, he looked like nothing but skin and bones, wearing ripped brown pants, an X harness with a scimitar sheathed at its side and messy shoulder length black hair and although he looked like nothing like his old self, but Hiccup recognized him from his voice alone. Toothless did as well and actually backed up in fear until Hiccup gently patted his head to comfort him before Hiccup growled and asked.

"What are you doing here?" He clenched his fists. "You're dead" His head shot up as he glared at his foe and cried out. "MADHIMARAN!" The figure now known as the first foe Hiccup and Toothless ever faced in Arabia, smirked at them and let out a cold soulless chuckle.

"What you saw was me being dragged into the underworld but not dying." He growled as he clenched his fists. "While I was trapped down in that never ending pit of despair, I found the corpse of this creature and using what little magic I was able to hold onto when I was dragged down, merging my mind with this body." He held out his arms to gesture around them before he pulled his arms back. "With this new body I was able to devour creatures in that pit and drain them of not only their magic but their very life essence as well." He chuckled. "And with their essence I was able to free myself from that pit you condemned me to although it took a lot of time to gain enough power to escape and grow my forces so I could begin my attack." He smirked. "Still, I am regaining my full power, but I am also taking Arabia in the process." Hiccup just glared.

"What have you done to the people your sharks collected?" Madhimaran gave a cold smile.

"They're all right here around us." Snapping his fingers the area around them lit up to reveal crystals the size of a fist embedded in the walls with each of them changing colors and pulsing as if they were alive and Hiccup immediately knew what this meant and turned to Madhimaran.

"What have you done?"

"Isn't it obvious?" He gestured to the crystals. "The people are imprisoned in the crystals so I can drain them of their life force which keeps the shark alive and fills me with more power and once I claim this city, I shall move onto the next until I have enough power to extend my reach across this world." His eyes then landed on Hiccup and a cold smile formed on his face. "But first," He extended his right arm, and a scimitar made of bone rose from the floor and he took it in his hand. "I'm going to kill you for interfering with my plans once and for all." A large platform rose between the two of them and he held up his weapon pointing at Hiccup. "Come Hiccup, let us face each other as true warriors in single combat." Hiccup knew when it came to this, he didn't have a choice since his honor wouldn't allow him to turn down the challenge, so he dismounted Toothless while switching out his starsword for his scimitar and turned to Toothless.

"Don't worry bud, I've got this but promise me that you'll stay out of the fight." Toothless crooned in concern. "Trust me Toothless, you know I've been up against stronger foes and trained under some of the greatest masters."

Toothless nodded before Hiccup gave him one lost pet before walking onto the same platform as Madhimaran who smirked at Hiccup and readied his scimitar. Hiccup readied his scimitar and a moment later, they charged at each other and their weapons clashed and the fight began with the sound of their weapons clashing, echoing through the body of the beast. For ten straight minutes the only thing that could be seen on the platforms was the two of them striking their blades together and trying to gain the upper hand over the other with Hiccup getting the most hits in thanks to his skills and training. This was something Madhimaran took notice of and could easily tell in the time he's been gone; Hiccup has grown far stronger and skilled than he could ever dream of, so he stood no chance of beating him in a fair fight. Without hesitation, when he and Hiccup were locked with their blades were pressed against each other, he summoned the bone tentacles from the ceiling behind Hiccup and had them thrust forward toward his back intending on having them impale him from behind. Hiccup sensed them coming and with the eye of the dragons, saw them coming before he quickly shoved Madhimaran away before tucking a rolling out of the way, leaving the bladed ends of the tentacles to stab into the platform while Hiccup glared at his foe as he said.

"You claimed this would be a one-on-one fight, Madhimaran." Madhimaran chuckled.

"It was originally but after seeing how your skills have improved while I was gone and that there was chance that I'd lose, well I wasn't going to keep my word." The tentacles pulled back and pointed their bladed ends at Hiccup. "NOW DIE!"

The tentacles flew at Hiccup with multiple others coming from the walls from the walls and ceilings with all of them aiming for Hiccup who, using a mixture of his ninja and kung fu training, immediately began dodging the bone blades and tentacles. He twisted, turned, flipped and jumped to avoid the blades while Toothless watched in worry for his rider and Madhimaran watched with a cruel smile, knowing Hiccup would eventually slip up and then he'd be as good as dead. What he didn't notice though was that as Hiccup dodged the blades and tentacles, he'd been releasing the joints that made up his sentient metal tail, one by one and having them hide behind the tentacles until he was away from them to keep Madhimaran from seeing them while his eyes were on him. When the last joint was slowly floating into the right position Hiccup, was running up one of the tentacles Madhimaran watched him and yelled.

"I HAVE TO ADMIT HICCUP, YOU HAVE BECOME FAR MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN YOU WERE WHEN WE FIRST FOUGHT!" Hiccup smirked down at him as he grabbed onto the wall.

"IT'S BEEN A FEW YEARS, SO PLENTY OF TIME FOR ME TO GO UP AGAINST LOT'S OF NEW OPPONENTS, STUDY UNDER GREAT WARRIOR MASTERS AND SO MUCH MORE!" Two blades came at him, but Hiccup smirked and released his sentient metal discs blocking the strikes. "AND OF COURSE, A LOT OF NEW MAGIC GEAR!" He tossed three yellow Loki balls at Madhimaran blinding him, right before the joints that made Hiccups tail rushed from their place around the sides of the platforms and quickly wrapped around Madhimaran, pinning his arms to his sides. "THIS ENDS NOW!" Hiccup jumped from his place on the wall with his scimitar raised high. "GO BACK TO THE UNDERWORLD MADHIMARAN, YOU DEMON!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, he swung his blade down at Madhimaran who stared at him in shock and horror right before the blade, sliced right through his neck and severed his head from his body. For a few seconds there was silence with Hiccup taking a few deep breaths before enjoying his victory as his tail returned to its place, but it was then that a cold cruel laugh echoed from all around him. Hiccup was shaken from his shock by the sound of Toothless letting out a roar of fright before Hiccup turned to see him jumping over to him just as multiple bone like tendrils reached where he was. Hiccup looked around for the source of the power before Madhimaran's voice echoed through the beast's body, asking.

"Did you truly think defeating me would be that easy Hiccup." Four more tendrils launched at Hiccup, but he used his golden discs to block the first two while using his eagle shield and scimitar to block the other two. "What you destroyed was merely an empty husk turned puppet which was once my body." Hiccup looked around searching for the source of the voice, but it seemed to be coming from everywhere. "This entire shark is my body Hiccup and as long as you and your pet are in it, neither of you stand a chance of defeating me." Hiccup blocked three more tendrils while Toothless blasted another two. "I cannot be stopped you fool but do struggle some more as it makes my victory all the sweeter." Hiccup and Toothless kept blocking and blasting the tentacles that now came at them from all sides while Hiccup muttered to himself.

"There has to be a way to beat this guy once and for all." He dodged another blade. "A source of power to this beast's body."

He then remembered one of the abilities the eye of the dragon was to find the weak point in enemies and quickly used it, while looking around and dodging the tentacles. At first, he didn't see anything since he was too busy helping Toothless fight off the tentacles but after fifteen minutes of fighting, he saw a faint glow at the back of chamber they were in. He quickly tapped Toothless on the side, gaining his attention before pointing at the wall and signaling him to do multiple full powered blasts at it confusing the dragon but he had full trust in his rider. He let out three blasts at the wall, breaking through to reveal a human sized crystal behind it that had some sort of black goo like fog moving around within it with a smoky form of Madhimarans head floating above it and looking at him in shock which quickly turned into a glare as he asked.

"HOW DID YOU KNOW WHERE THE CORE WAS?" Hiccup smirked and rubbed his eyepatch.

"I told you; I've gained a lot of new magic gear." He then launched some rotating blades at the crystal, but they were all either blocked or knocked down by the tendrils as the opening began to close.

"It doesn't matter though, I'll never let you, your weapons or your pet near it." Multiple tentacles covered up the hole to the point that Hiccup could barely see the crystal through the gaps that were as thinner than the end of his finger, but Hiccup smirked.

"I think it's time for you to see another weapon I've gotten since we last met." As soon as he said that he held his arms out and sent out his sentient metal needles out at the hall, passing through the gaps. "I've always got a few extra tricks to deal with my enemies."

As soon as the words left his mouth, the needles past through and began striking the crystal before turning and striking it again, shattering the crystal as Madhimaran screamed in absolute agony while pieces of light shined out if various parts of the projection. For a few seconds all that could be heard was the screaming of Madhimaran mixed with the tentacles that were thrashing around, getting tangled as they flailed and hit each other. Toothless shielded his rider using his wings as Madhimaran, let out one final scream of agony, all the light seemed to be pulled in before the crystal shards pulled into themselves and exploded with creating a shockwave with force so powerful, it succeeded in throwing Toothless back twenty feet with Hiccup being pushed by him as dust flew everywhere, stopping only when it hit the city wall while the sharks who were still fighting turned to dust. When the dust cleared, the skeleton of the shark sat in the sands with the crystals that held the people who were captured by the shark's half buried in the sand.

A few seconds after the explosion, the sand in a spot began to shift right before a black wing belonging to Toothless lifted up, throwing the sand off to reveal Hiccup beneath it as Toothless stood up, throwing the sand off him. Hiccup chuckled and brushed the sand off as he said.

"Let's not do that again bud." Toothless growled and nodded before they looked at the crystals that held the people. "Now we just have to find a way to free the people from the crystals." As soon as the words left his mouth, the crystals glowed brightly and shattered releasing a mist from within, quickly taking human shape and then solidifying and becoming people who were all looking around in both fear and confusion making Hiccup sigh and shake his head. "This is going to take a lot of time and a lot explaining." Toothless just let out a huff and turned around before he began walking back to the city. "Woah, woah, woah and where do you think you're going?" Hiccup sighed and followed his dragon, knowing that he might have a point since they were going to need the sultan and his men to help bring order to this mess but I knew that the remainder of my day along with the coming days were going to be one big headache.

AN: And that is another chapter done, hopefully it'll get more attention than my last one which only got 1 review so I'm really hoping to see more this time. Until then enjoy and have a nice day.
