(Play The Plague Doctor - Xyban)

"YOU'RE GONNA PAY YOU BASTARDS!"

Plaque, absolutely seething with rage and spite after her host is gravely wounded, let out an ear-piercing scream before sprinting like a madman straight at the ninja monkeys. The poor creatures, terrified out of their wits, yelped like scared schoolgirls and hastily covered their faces with their hands and arms, fully expecting the worst.

"What on earth is happening?!" Yui Yuigahama exclaimed while visibly perplexed.

"Wait, did Hikigaya-senpai just become a girl?" Iroha Isshiki chimed in while equally bewildered.

"Is that really Hachiman?" Yukino Yukinoshita murmured in confusion.

Yuzu Aihara scratched the back of her head, "I'm starting to suspect he might have been a girl this whole time." she commented with her voice filled in uncertainty.

Taisuke Sawanaga came over to the group, "That's just ridiculous!" he chided, "But don't worry, there's a good reason for it." he said.

"I never thought we'd run into anything like this on a basic rescue job." Kyoutarou Suga admitted.

"Do you guys know why he turned into a different person?" Yuzu asked.

Taisuke nodded in response, "We do but we'll go over it later." he replied, "Right now, I've got a bad feeling she's about to do something really dramatic, so we should probably get some distance from her!" he beckoned with a clear sense of urgency in his voice.

Plague, now devoid of any semblance of empathy or mercy, let forth a cataclysmic deluge of thick black miasma which surged forth with the unrelenting ferocity of a tsunami, enveloping the unsuspecting ninja monkeys in a choking embrace of doom. These monkeys, once masters of stealth and agility, found themselves at the merciless whims of a force they could neither comprehend nor combat. The noxious vapor, a tangible manifestation of the Plague's malevolent intent, billowed and swirled around them, casting an eerie pall over the battlefield and leaving in its wake a trail of despair and decay.

In the midst of this chaotic maelstrom, one particularly unfortunate ninja monkey, its keen eyes widening in a silent scream of horror, observed the slow and painful process of its very flesh being consumed by the destructive power of the miasma. The once-dextrous digits that had been capable of the most intricate of hand gestures, which had allowed it to manipulate the very fabric of shadow itself, now began to peel away from the bone, layer by agonizing layer. The sensation of its very essence being stripped away was too much for the creature to bear, and it let forth a wail that pierced the very air around it, echoing the primal terror that had taken hold of its being. The cry grew louder and more desperate as the monkey's fate grew clearer, until finally, it was no more than a cloud of dust, scattered on the unforgiving ground by the merciless winds of fate.

The remaining ninja monkeys, however, were not granted the swift release from their suffering that their comrade had experienced. Each one found themselves subjected to a unique torment, as the miasma had contained within it a veritable cornucopia of pathogens, each one tailored to bring about the most heinous of ends. One by one, they began to exhibit the gruesome symptoms of the diseases that had been unleashed upon them.

Amidst the panic-stricken mob, a monkey that had once been a formidable warrior now found itself weakening, its once-strong body now ravaged by the insidious grip of cancer. The tumorous growths that had been spawned by the miasma spread with alarming rapidity, consuming the creature's vitality and reducing it to a mere shadow of its former self. It stumbled, clutching at the festering sores that had erupted across its fur, until finally, with a pathetic whimper, it too succumbed to the cruel embrace of death.

Another monkey, who had once been the swiftest among them, the very epitome of grace and speed, was now contorted in agony as the Bubonic Plague claimed it. The telltale buboes grew and grew, until they burst forth in a geyser of pus and blood. Its eyes rolled back in its head, it collapsed to the ground, the life force seeping away from its body as the infection raced through its veins like a malevolent river, leaving only a lifeless corpse in its stead.

Yet another of the ninja monkeys, its fur matted with the sweat of fear, stumbled and fell as the invisible tendrils of COVID-19 coiled around its lungs, choking the very air from its body. It lay there, desperately gasping for breath, its eyes glazed over with the realization of its impending doom. In a heart-wrenching display of vulnerability, it reached out a trembling hand, seeking solace in the cold indifference of the world around it, before the final, rattling exhale signaled its demise.

As for the one who had been infected with influenzia, its fate was no less grim. The virus, a silent and swift killer, waged war within its body, attacking its respiratory system with the precision of a ninja's blade. It crumpled to the ground, wracked with fever and chills, as the invisible enemy overpowered it, leaving it to succumb to the relentless onslaught of the disease.

Once the last of the valiant ninja monkeys had been eradicated by the multitude of maladies, Plague, seemingly sated by the destruction she had wrought, let out a final bone-chilling shriek. This scream was not one of triumph but rather a mournful lament, a macabre symphony of despair and sorrow that resonated through the very marrow of the bones of those who heard it. She then collapsed to its knees, the very picture of exhaustion and defeat, yet the rhythmic rise and fall of her chest served as a grim reminder that its life force remained untouched by the horrors she had unleashed.

At the same time, Iroha, Yui, Yukino and Yuzu looked absolutely terrified after seeing what had just gone down while Kyoutarou and Taisuke remained as cool as cucumbers.

Yuzu had her hand over her mouth and her eyes are wide with shock, "Oh my God..." she whispered while Iroha dropped to her hands and knees, she then started throwing up.

"What on earth happened to the monkeys?" Yui managed to ask with her voice quivering.

"I-I believe s-she wiped them out." Yukino stuttered while looking paler than usual.

Taisuke just scratched his head, "Well, damn!" he mused, "I guess I know not to mess with her." he stated with a grin.

Kyoutarou nodded in agreement, "As long as you remind me not to, we'll be fine." he replied with a smirk.

Kyoutarou then observed that the eerie miasma enveloping Plague was gradually fading and her crazed expression began to soften.

"It seems like she's starting to calm down." Kyoutarou pointed out before scratching his chin, "But how do we get close to her without spooking her?" he questioned.

Taisuke had a sudden brainwave and his eyes lighting up as if an imaginary light bulb had switched on above his head, "I've got it!" he exclaimed while miming the action of grabbing the light bulb and then tucking it into his pocket with a cheeky grin.

Yukino gaped in astonishment, "Did he just pull a light bulb out of thin air?" she murmured.

"I think I'm losing it." Yuzu whispered and her voice filled with disbelief.

Taisuke then pulled out an apple from his bag and held it up like it was something sacred, he then gently rolled it over to Plague who couldn't help but stare at it.

"Look, it's all yours." Taisuke murmured while watching Plague eye the apple with caution, "Don't worry, it's just a regular apple," he reassured her while trying to ease any concerns and with a bit of hesitation, Plague picked up the apple, "Good job." he said with a smile, "Go ahead, enjoy it." he beckoned when Plague took a bite with teeth that looked like they belonged to a shark and began devouring the apple with a surprising enthusiasm, "Well, I've seen better table manners." he muttered in bemusement, "But I guess that's one way to enjoy a snack." he said rather sarcastically.

"Do you really have to handle her like she's some sort of wild black bear?" Kyoutarou questioned in disbelief, "And don't even get me started on the apple thing." he added with a hint of sarcasm.

"C'mon, it's all to our benefit, so don't go giving me grief about it." Taisuke retorted.

After munching down the apple, Plague couldn't help but smile in satisfaction as her body started to wobble all over the place, zigzagging around with little flashes of light dancing on her skin. Then, just like that, she changed back into Hachiman whom then collapsed to the ground, completely out of it.

Everyone rushed over to him while Kyoutarou took a closer look at the unconscious sap.

"Hikki-kun!" Yui shrieked with worry.

"Is he okay?" Yukino chimed in while looking really concerned.

Kyoutarou let out a sigh of relief, "He's gonna be okay." he replied in assurance, "The wound must've sealed up during that quick change." he explained, "All he needs right now is to catch his breath." he added.

"Oh, thank goodness." Iroha murmured while feeling a weight lift off her shoulders.

"Hey, everyone!" a voice called out.

The group quickly swivel around to see Ryuuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuuin heading their way.

"Who are they?" Yuzu asked.

Taisuke smirked in response, "Friends of ours." he replied.

Just as Ryuuko was about to ask about their current predicament, she caught sight of Hachiman and Yukino, and she recognized them right away.

"Hey, aren't you guys Hachiman Hikigaya and Yukino Yukinoshita?" Ryuuko inquired.

Yukino looked a bit surprised while raising an eyebrow, "Yes, that's us." she confirmed hesitantly, "But do we know you from somewhere?" she asked.

Ryuuko had to think quickly, "Oops, sorry." she apologized, "Kenji Kazama actually talked about you two when he mentioned that he met you guys at a mall a while back." she explained.

But that was only partially true and the real reason she knew them was because she and the other girls had been secretly following Kenji and Shizuka Takao on what they thought was a date, and that's where they'd first laid eyes on Hachiman and Yukino.

But, Ryuuko had no intention of letting them in on that little secret.

Yukino pondered for a moment, "Kenji Kazama..." she murmured softly to herself when it clicked, "Oh right, he's a friend of Hachiman from middle school!" she recalled.

"What, senpai has a middle school buddy?" Iroha asked with her eyes widened in astonishment.

"Seriously?" Yuzu uttered in disbelief, "You're surprised by that?" she questioned.

Taisuke then looked over at Hachiman, who was still out cold, and pointed a finger at him, "Hold on!" he interrupted, "Does that mean this fella's a part of the Kazama Party?" he assumed.

Kyoutarou took a moment to think before replying, "Well, the Kazama Party started way back in elementary and she said this guy's been tight with Kenji since middle school." he explained, "So, I'd say no, he's not in their crowd." he concluded.

Yukino's eyes then grew big in realization, "Hold on a second..." she trailed, "... are you saying that Kazama-san is one of you too?!" she exclaimed.

Taisuke shrugged in response, "Basically, yeah." he confirmed, "But I'll leave it to him to fill you guys in." he said, "I'm not his personal spokesperson or anything." he added.

"Ditto." Kyoutarou said in agreement.

Ryuuko's face dropped in annoyance, "So, you've been keeping stuff from them, huh?" she assumed.

Satsuki stepped in while cutting off any further questions, "Alright, enough of that..." she trailed while crossing her arms, "... can someone just tell us what went down here?" she requested.

As Kyoutarou helped Yukino and Yui get Hachiman back on his feet, Yuzu couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the weird hand signals and funny body language Taisuke was using to explain something to the sisters. She glanced over at Ryuuko and Satsuki, and they both had the same confused look on their faces with one eyebrow up, like they were trying to figure out what the heck was going on.

"And that's all she wrote." Taisuke finished with a casual smile.

"Do you seriously have to throw in hand gestures and the whole shebang every time you explain something?" Ryuuko asked in annoyance.

"What can I say, I like to keep things dramatic." Taisuke retorted with a playful grin.

"We're in the middle of a sketchy area, idiot!" Ryuuko snapped with her voice rising in exasperation, "How much more drama are you trying to stir up?" she questioned incredulously.

"Alright, enough of this!" Satsuki broke in and her voice full of command, "I think we should get out of here and take Hachiman back to the main base." she beckoned, "It's not right for him to rest here like this." she reasoned

"Sounds good to me." Kyoutarou chimed in agreement.

Ryuuko took out her phone, "I'm gonna give Kenji a call." she announced.

"Why?" Iroha asked in confusion.

"Well, I figured he'd wanna know we found you guys." Ryuuko reasoned

"And that Hachiman's got a Zero Goddess living inside him?" Taisuke added with a casual grin.

Ryuuko let out a sigh, "Yeah, he's not gonna be thrilled about that part." she admitted, "But it's better he hears it from us." she beckoned.

-Somewhere in the Multiverse-

AWA Starship, AWA Academy

Travelling across the stars, the AWA Starship is currently making it's way towards a certain destination, passing-by other starships and various planets on the process.

We then take a look over at the AWA Academy's central courtyard where we spot Armin Arlert, Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman having a casual chat while strolling through the park. It seems like a typical day until Hisui Hearts and Jean Kirstein come sprinting by. Jean, being the playful one, snatches Eren's cap and takes off with it, which naturally sends the trio of friends into a lively pursuit.

While strolling by a cozy cafe, we come across a scene where Haruka Takayama, Monkey D. Luffy and Yuu Sonoda are purchasing hotdogs from a stand operated by Taizou Hasegawa when Lina Inverse happens to walk up to them as they're enjoying their snacks. Inside the warm and inviting cafe, there's a friendly gathering of Homura Akemi, Izuku Midoriya, Madoka Kaname, Ochako Uraraka and Tenya Iida, all chatting away and behind the counter, Nagisa Shirai is busy jotting down orders for Kaito Doumoto and Lucia Nanami.

On the second level terrace of the café, Akari Inuyama, Aoi Inuyama, Chiaki Oogaki, Ena Saitou, Minami Toba and Rin Shima are assembled around a spacious oval table, which comfortably accommodates their sextet, while partaking in some light refreshments.

These individuals have recently become members of the AWA and have acquired a preliminary understanding of the organization's operations. They are eager to discover the multitude of experiences and opportunities that lie ahead as part of their new affiliation.

Kenji Kazama and Nadeshiko Kagamihara are currently not in attendance, as the former has graciously offered to introduce the latter to her fellows hosts. Consequently, the remaining members of the group, under Rin's defacto leadership, opted to spend their leisure time at this café.

"What a lovely place." Ena commented while savoring a sip of her ice tea.

"It's like we're in a typical neighborhood..." Rin mused, "... just inside a starship shaped like a dome." she added while still trying to wrap her head around it.

"The folks here are something else, too!" Akari exclaimed in excitement.

As if on cue, Antonio Seymour, Carlos Kramer and Jobim De Castro whom are known as the notorious Three Old Men, strolled by their table while snapping selfies with their phones like they owned the place.

"You can say that again." Aoi chimed in agreement.

"I can't believe there are people here who could be my grandparents are just coming to this place like everyone else." Chiaki said with a surprised expression.

Minami nodded in response, "Yeah, it's definitely a one-of-a-kind thing about this academy." she replied, "I could have attend here too as a student but instead I chose to work as a teacher because I already had that experience." she explained.

"Makes sense to me." Rin acknowledged.

"You know, it's funny, but I've realized that quite a few folks from our Izu trip are here too." Ena noted while pointing a finger towards Georgette Lemare, Misora Kasuga, Nonon Jakuzure and Satsuki Yotsuba who were chilling by a couple of vending machines.

"Oh, you're right!" Aoi exclaimed in surprise.

Akari then looked over at another table where Chris Pearson, Dan Mandel, Elise Pearson and "Ninja" Dave Bauza are having lunch, "Look, even those guys are here!" the younger Inuyama exclaimed upon recognizing them.

Minami's eyes lit up when she caught a glimpse of Scooby Doo and Shaggy Rogers casually making their way around the café, and she instantly recognized Scooby, "Even that dog is here!" the bespectacled woman pointed out.

Rin's drink almost went down the wrong pipe when she saw Lubbock sitting at a nearby table and she recognized him as the guy that she had encountered running naked in one mountain road, "You've got to be kidding me!" she exclaimed in her thoughts in disbelief.

Chiaki's eyes widened in astonishment, "What on earth?!" she squawked and her voice echoing with incredulity, "This place is swarming with familiar faces from our Izu trip!" she pointed out.

Minami tilted her head slightly and her thoughts drifting back to their shared adventure, "Come to think of it..." she trailed, "... Kazama-san did mention something arriving to their Izu trip with fifty or more acquaintances." she recalled.

"That's still an absurd amount of numbers." Rin commented.

Chiaki let out a deep sigh and tried to compose herself when she suddenly caught sight of Hidenori Tabata strolling over to the counter and her eyes grew wide as a blush crept up her cheeks.

"No way!" Chiaki exclaimed in her thoughts, "This has got to be a joke!" she squawked, "He's here too?!" she noted in shock.

Since their encounter in Izu, Chiaki couldn't get Hidenori out of her head and it had just dawned on her that she had feelings for him and now finding out they're both at the same academy? It was almost too much for her to handle and she felt like she is on the brink of a little mental meltdown.

Thankfully, Nadeshiko showed up just in time to save Chiaki from losing it completely.

"I'm back!" Nadeshiko exclaimed with a cheerful voice.

Rin smiled in response, "Hey, Nadeshiko, welcome back." she greeted.

"How was your meeting with the other hosts?" Minami inquired.

Nadeshiko chuckled in response, "They were an interesting bunch." she replied, "Some of them had their noses in the air but I'll find a way to get along." she shared, "I'm pretty good at smoothing things over." she concluded.

"That's great to hear." Rin complimented.

Nadeshiko's face turned all innocent and confused, "But when I told them that I wanna marry Kenji, they gave me weird looks." she shared with a cute little pout.

Chiaki facefaulted, "Well, duh, you guys are cousins!" she reminded in disbelief.

"Nadeshiko, maybe it's better if you keep those thoughts to yourself, you know?" Aoi advised.

But Nadeshiko didn't like that idea one bit and she pouted even more, "No way!" she whined, "I'm gonna let everyone know how much I love him, even if he's my cousin!" she insisted.

Rin just sighed in response, "Oh boy..." she murmured.

"By the way, where is Kenji-san?" Ena inquired.

"Ah, yeah, he actually went his own way to check out his friend." Nadeshiko answered, "As far as I know, this friend of his is also a host to a Zero Goddess." she recalled.

"Wait, what?!" Chiaki blurted out in surprise.

"Are there really that many Zero Goddesses around?" Akari wondered out loud.

"Well, from what I've gathered, the first generation had twelve but the number for the second generation isn't something we can pin down at the moment." Minami said thoughtfully, "But to be honest, I'm a bit concerned about Kazama-san right now." she admitted.

"Why?" Ena asked.

"Remember how upset Kazama-san got when he found out Nadeshiko is a host of a Zero Goddess?" Minami reminded, "I'd say he's probably feeling the same way right now, knowing his friend is in the same boat." she concluded.

Chiaki nodded in agreement, "True, that's not great news." she replied wih her voice a bit down.

"Yeah, let's just hope for the best for them." Rin chimed in while trying to be optimistic.

All of a sudden, a loud Phonk beat filled around the cafe, and everyone's eyes snapped over to see Chapatsu Doi, Lester Unlikely and Scott Howl strolling forward, each with their own distinctive swagger.

Chapatsu had this smug look plastered across his face, his eyes scanning the room as if he owned the place and his hands casually stuffed into his pockets. Scott couldn't help but flash a big grin as he strutted over, his posture oozing confidence and his arms swinging like he didn't have a care in the world. Lester, on the other hand, had a bit of a glazed expression as he meandered over, almost as if he was lost in thought.

They made a beeline for a round table and plopped down into the barrel-like chairs. Before they could even get comfy, Mai Hoshizuki appeared beside them, notepad in hand, ready to take their orders.

"Well, that settles it..." Rin trailed, "... those guys are definitely in on this." she noted.

"I can't wait to see if the dude with the massive halberd will show up too!" Aoi exclaimed with a grin.

"Or the three guys that ended up in the water!" Akari piped up.

"Don't forget the girl who downed half a bottle of booze!" Ena added.

"Fuck it!" Chiaki blurted out, "Let's just assume everyone from our Izu trip is here!" she exclaimed in annoyance.

"Well, well, what do we have here~" a cheerful voice interrupted their conversation.

Rin's group then swivel around to find Mai Iida and Tadahisa Iida grinning at them from a nearby table with the former waving a hand.

"Eh?" was all they can respond.

-BREAK-

The scene then shifts to one of the academy's sick bays where Hachiman is resting comfortably on a bed while Iroha, Yui and Yukino are by his side, looking at him with worried looks etched on their faces.

Earlier ago, Kyoutarou, Ryuuko, Satsuki and Taisuke had left the room to go make their reports, and they took Yuzu along with them to gather more details.

As the three girls remained by Hachiman's bedside, a figure approaches them, causing their eyes to turn in the direction of the newcomer.

The figure is a young woman with a voluptuous appearance, she has a tall stature and a fair complexion, she has large breasts and a large posterior, she has a waist-length black hair with bangs hanging on the right side alongside two ahoges, she has green-colored eyes with a mole under her left eye, and she wears red round glasses. She wears a white lab coat over a green knitted turtleneck, she wears a tight black mini-skirt, pair of cross garter motif thigh-high stockings and a pair of black high heel shoes. This is Chisato Hasegawa.

"Your friend is currently in a stable condition but requires an extensive period of rest." Chisato informed, "Under typical circumstances, the host of a Zero Goddess would not succumb to a state of unconsciousness following the deity's awakening." she shared, "However, given the injuries sustained by Hikigaya-san, it appears that the strain of the transition has been excessive, resulting in his temporary loss of consciousness." she explained.

"I see." Yukino uttered in acknowledgement.

"So, how much longer does senpai need to sleep?" Iroha asked.

"Honestly, a full day's rest would be ideal." Chisato answered, "But if not that, then definitely a whole night." she added, "Rest is crucial for him, so either way is necessary." she conluded.

Yui let out a relieved sigh, "That's a good sign, then." she murmured while visibly relaxing.

All of a sudden, Kenji appeared at the entrance of the sick bay.

"Excuse me!" Kenji called out while glancing around, "Is Hikigaya around?" he asked before spotting Yukino, "Hey, Yukinoshita, long time no see." he greeted casually.

Yukino nodded in response before crossing her arms, "Yeah, it's been a while." she replied, "But you look like you've got something to explain." she beckoned.

Kenji waved it off, "We'll get to that later." he dismissed, "First, tell me how Hachiman's holding up?" he inquired.

"Hikigaya-san is doing alright." Chisato reassured, "He just needs some serious rest." she offered this information with a soft smile.

"What about him being a host to a Zero Goddess?" Kenji asked while pressing further into the subject.

"It's true." Chisato acknowledged with her tone becoming slightly more solemn, "Hikigaya-san is host to one called Plague." she revealed.

"Plague?" Kenji repeated with his eyes widening slightly with astonishment, "The one who's basically a living breathing epidemic?" he commented and his voice reflected a mix of incredulity and fascination.

"Yes, that's her." Chisato nodded in respone while confirming Kenji's description.

Kenji slapped his hands to his face, "Fuck!" he exclaimed with his voice echoing with frustration that the girls nearby jumped at the sudden outburst. He then plopped down into a chair, "Fuck..." he groaned and this time, it was quieter while massaging his temples gently, trying to ease the tension.

"Are you okay?" Yui asked in concern.

Kenji almost snapped back at her but he took a deep breath and composed himself, "No, I'm really not..." he murmured softly, "First it was Nadeshiko and now Hachiman..." he cursed under his breath, "Why do the people I care about keep getting picked to host these darn goddesses!" he blurted out with his frustration clear in his voice, "Looking out for them isn't a chore but the fear of them being in danger is just too much for me to handle!" he exclaimed in anger.

"Kazama-san..." Yukino uttered in surprise.

Chisato reached over and gave Kenji's shoulder a comforting pat, "You know, Kazama-san, you really don't have to carry all this by yourself." she said with a smile while trying to ease his tension, "If you need any help, just say the word, we're here for you." she offered.

Kenji took a deep breath while looking a bit more relaxed, "Okay, I get it." he conceded.

"So, what happens now?" Yukino asked.

"With the affirmation of Hikigaya-san role as a host to a Zero Goddess..." Chisato elucidated, "... his involvement with the AWA is assured." she declared, "This will enable us to maintain a vigilant watch over him and ensure his safety." she disclosed, "Ladies, you are at liberty to participate in this endeavor as well." she inquired, "Would you be willing to accompany Hikigaya-san in this critical undertaking?" she offered.

Iroha, Yui and Yukino exchanged glances before nodding in agreement, "We're not letting Hachiman go through this alone." Yukino stated firmly, "We're all in this together!" she added with a determined look.

Chisato smiled in response, "Well then, welcome aboard the All Worlds Alliance!" she announced with a warm and inviting tone.

Erica Fontaine, Gemini Sunrise and Sakura Shinguji sat together on a bench with Sakura engrossed in a magazine.

Suddenly, Sakura looked up from her reading, "Why on earth are photographers so darn pricey?" she questioned in annoyance.

Without missing a beat, Gemini spoke up, "Don't worry, I can shoot you for free!" she volunteered.

"Really?" Erica asked.

Before anyone could say another word, Gemini whipped out her guns and started firing playfully, which sent both Erica and Sakura into screaming fit as they sprinted away in an exaggerated comical manner.
