Rias Gremory's morning was like any other morning. Woke up, took a shower, brushed her teeth, and ate breakfast, she got ready for school, and walked down to the front steps of her apartment building where her best friend and queen, Himejima Akeno waited.

"Morning buchou," Akeno greeted her king as the red haired devil stood beside her.

"Morning, Akeno," Rias greeted in return as she gave her queen a hug.

"So, what's on the docket for today?" The black haired beauty asked as they got to school.

"Hmm, Akuma-sensei has a test today… then a few homework assignments to turn in, nothing much. Sona doesn't have much planned either," Rias recalled as they made it through the gates of Kuoh Academy. A prestigious and as of recently, formerly 'all girls' school.

Classes were the same as always, some interesting and some boring. It was monotonous, no one day was really all that different from the last when she was in school, and as Rias walked through the halls of the institution, she knew it was exactly what she was looking for.

Here she didn't have the fact that she was the heir to the Gremory family. Nor her accursed betrothal.

Here, she was just another student, albeit a rather popular one as students of both genders parted like the red sea and made way for her and her best friend.

Sometimes it did pay off to stand out a bit, it's not like she disliked being the center of attention. She rather enjoyed it a tad bit, when she received the adoration of the students of Kouh. What she hated was the responsibility and ostentatious behavior of the underworld but most notably her family.

Everything they did was, for a lack of better words, pretentious. It was all pretentious at best, too much for a woman of cold calculating logic like her.

They just had to plan out her life for her with little to no input into a way out. Pretending they cared about her, but toying with her life for their own benefit. Maybe they did love her… to some extent. But they showed they cared more for how they viewed themselves and their standing.

How else do you explain the ludicrous attempt at having the cast off, spare of a spare son such as Riser Phenex marry her, the next head of family?

Rias Gremory was a romantic at heart, seeking something more akin to what his brother found with her sister in law, Grayfia Lucifuge. A love like no other tested and tried, going strong two centuries now.

To top it all off, her father was dead, and her mother was only a regent until Rias came of age, given that he had been killed in an incident in their territory when she was little. So it wasn't like she could make her dissatisfaction at being sold off as little less than another sex toy for some misbegotten bastard known to him.

So she hid away amongst the mundane, the boring and the faceless masses.

By going to a human school. Where she knew a bigoted pig like Riser wouldn't bother looking for her, considering he believed his blood automatically made him superior to everyone else and anyone not of the pillars was automatically beneath him… even heirs to the pillars were on shaky ground with him.

She hardly paid attention to class once they started, she was unusually bothered by these thoughts this morning. Though when called upon she still gave the correct answers with a smile, though she was on autopilot.

Perhaps it was because her mother had brought it up the night before when she called back home.

Rias considered that for a moment and had to withhold a scowl, truly her mother needed to get laid or find a new husband.

She loved her mother very much, but the woman was getting nosy into her life. Rias didn't need that, the red haired devil wanted her independence, she needed room to breathe.

She sighed as she took notes, flipping the page so she could continue writing. Her day started so well, and now she was so out of it, maybe her familiar would get her some interesting contracts for the day. Something nice and easy would be nice.

By the time she got back to her club room after a request filled day- it was fifteen minutes to eleven o'clock at night. She could see the members of her peerage were tired, considering her little koneko could barely keep herself awake at this point.

She smiled to all of them, "Good job everyone, Kiba, you did well with that contract, keep it up and you'll be middle class soon."

"Thanks, Buchou," The charming blonde knight with blue eyes replied with a light bow.

Then she turned to her Rook, "Would you like me to drop you off, Koneko-chan, Or would you like to use the bed right here in the club room?"

"Bed," the middle schooler replied as she picked up and munched on a cookie, as Akeno set down the tray of sweets and warm milk tea in front of the white haired girl.

"You can go to bed after you finish your snacks, Koneko," Rias replied and then turned to her queen, "Good job as always Akeno, I'll see you tomorrow in the morning."

The Black haired Nadeshiko smiled and nodded, "Of course, Rias, same time as always."

She watched as two of her servants left the office, then her youngest servant as the white haired girl finished her cookies and stretched out. Even when the rook actively wanted nothing to do with her heritage, she still reminded Rias so much of cats. It was cute.

The red haired devil spoke up, "Come on, Neko-chan, I'll tuck you in."

Koneko froze for a brief moment, but she nodded regardless, "Ok, Buchou."

Rias escorted the little girl to the bed and pulled the covers back for her. After Koneko climbed onto the bed and curled up she tucked the girl in and laid a kiss on top of the rook's forehead and said, "I'll have a uniform ready for you in the morning, i'll walk you to school okay?"

The rook nodded and closed her eyes, leaving Rias to watch her charge for a bit.

As she began to walk back into the club room, she suddenly felt a strong sense of desire coming from one of the leaflets her familiar had passed around earlier in the day.

Rias was done for the day, she had no intention of filling another contract, much less after a day of babysitting little brats or helping a man fill his moving truck with boxes filled with heavy shit all afternoon.

But the sense of desire she felt was strong enough it made her curious. Curious enough to check it out at least.

Rias first appeared in some sort of living room, illuminated by the soft glow of a TV, then she saw him. Sun-kissed blonde hair, a single visible blue eye seemingly dead to the world. He wore a blue short sleeved shirt with red swirls on both sleeves, and blue slacks.

His other eye along with a portion of his face was covered by some type of bandana with a metal plate with the symbol of a leaf with another swirl in its center. His cheeks sported three whisker-like scars on each side, and his blonde hair was wild and spiky, with two jaw length bangs framing each side of his face.

He was rather handsome, maybe not as handsome as her knight but he was charming in his own way.

Then his lone bored eye flickered towards her, then in a somewhat hoarse voice he said, "Could you please move a little bit? You're kinda blocking the tv right now."

Rias flushed with embarrassment as she moved to the side, then she turned a bit to look at the TV, "Is that Sword Art Online?"

The blonde teenager nodded, not looking away from the TV, and asked, "You like it?"

She couldn't help but let out a suffering sigh, "It had so much potential but it was squandered so much! You should watch The Ambition of Oda Nobuna, it is so much better!"

"Huh," the blonde acknowledge with a nod.

Then Rias coughed into her hand, "Now, My name is Rias Gremory. I have been summoned by your desire and I've come to fulfill your wish if it's within my capabilities."

The blonde looked at her with barely any interest and replied, , "Would you like to watch some anime with me? I don't have much going on right now and it's kinda boring watching it by myself."

Her encounter with the blonde Naruto Uzumaki had been a few weeks ago now. Since then she had come to his house every other day to catch up on her anime with him, it was a nice experience too. To be able to just kick back and relax alongside somebody.

Sometimes they would order food, other times one of the two would cook.

It was somewhat concerning how easily he disarmed her guard. But considering he was just a human, she felt justified letting her guard down around him and just enjoy the company. Though she could feel something from within him, she couldn't tell exactly what it was, other than he seemed to have a lot of it.

Perhaps she could consider recruiting him? But how would that affect their relationship? It was a silly thought, Naruto knew she was a devil, and was completely fine with her presence, and they had grown close since that first time.

With him she was simply Rias, a fellow Otaku who enjoyed watching anime and munch on snacks with and who had seen her more vulnerable side. Sometimes when she saw him around the school building she would stop by to chat with him or wave at him if she wasn't alone.

She shook her head, he looked somewhat lanky, and didn't seem like the type who could fight. As much as she enjoyed spending time with her contractor, she couldn't recruit him, and didn't want to recruit him into her peerage. She didn't want the dynamic between them to change, she considered him a friend and didn't want the friendship they had to change.

As much as she loved her servants, the relationship they had was different. She was their leader and they looked up to her as such.

"Ara Ara, what has buchou so distracted? Thinking about your boyfriend perhaps?" Akeno's voice broke through her daze as the red haired king focused back on her paperwork.

"Boyfriend?!" Rias exclaimed, looking while scandalized.

"Then who is Naruto, buchou? He must be a secret boyfriend you're hiding away! Selfish Rias not sharing a handsome man with the rest of us!" Akeno wailed as she cried crocodile tears.

"How do you know that name?" Rias questioned, quite confused on the matter, how would Akeno know about her contract? She kept that one strictly confidential. No one needed to know her best contract was basically a vacation for herself.

"Hmm, dear, you wrote his name all over that paper," the queen pointed out, looking at her king which could only be described as too smug for her own good.

Then the black haired beauty turned to the other two occupants of the room, "Would you look at that? Our buchou is all grown up, and she has a boyfriend now. Soon she will be married having hot steamy sex with some handsome Japanese man."

"Pervert," Koneko muttered glaring at the Queen of the peerage before going back to her candy.

While Kiba rubbed the back of his head somewhat embarrassed as he said, "We didn't need to know all that, but congratulations Rias-sama."

"I don't have a boyfriend," Rias said embarrassed, her cheeks tainted red from embarrassment, "Naruto is just a good friend of mine, that's all."

"He must be a really good friend if you're just unconsciously writing his name on a piece of paper," Akeno pointed out, then tilted her head a bit as she asked, "Thinking about recruiting him to the peerage?"

Rias shook her head, "No, I don't really wanna recruit him. He's just a human, and he's kinda lanky. I don't know if i would have the time and resources to bring him up to speed with the rest of you, besides, while he's a good friend, I don't think he would accept."

"Ara, so buchou is having an affair with a normal wittle human?" Akeno said looking even more smug, "What would your onii-chan say about that?"

"AKENO!"

Unlike the first time she appeared in his house, Rias was descently early this time around. Arriving close to eight o clock, she sat on the couch next to the blonde as he was browsing with the remote in and as he asked, "What made you so tense?"

"Oh, nothing," Rias replied as she made herself feel comfortable, "just my friends teasing me."

"Hmm," Naruto hummed in acknowledgement, "friends can be like that."

"Hey, if it's not too personal," the red haired devil started, "Why don't you tell me about your friends?"

"My friends?" Naruto replied, raising his eyebrow questioningly. Then he turned back to the TV and replied, "Well, some of my friends from back in the day are doing alright. Some have passed onto the next life, that's all there is to say about that really, I haven't kept in contact with them."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Rias apologized, feeling like an asshole for bringing it up. It was not in her intentions to bring up painful memories, considering the people she counted as friends and peerage members.

"It's alright," the blonde teenager replied, "Your curiosity is only natural afterall."

"How about your parents? Every time I come you're by yourself," Rias pushed, wondering just if he was having family issues like he had.

"Orphan from birth, tragedy struck the village i was born and raised in the night i was born," Naruto replied, "Kakashi-sensei looks out for me, though he's currently away doing a job."

"Oh, is he your caretaker?" The redhead continued her line of questions.

The whiskered blonde nodded, "Yes, he was my father's student, his own father committed suicide when he was young and my dad took him under his wing, when my parents died, Kakashi-sensei looked out after me- and eventually took me under his wing,"

Rias leaned into him, and rested her head on his shoulder. They remained like that for a while, suggesting what to watch to each other and talking the night away. It made the red haired devil feel normal, like she really was just another regular human being.

As Naruto wrapped one arm around her, it made her feel butterflies in her stomach.

All because she decided to accept a last minute late night contract. Screw Akeno and her teasing, right now, Rias Gremory knew this was exactly where she wanted to be. Watching anime with her friend, letting time tick by without a care in the world.

Okay maybe she did have a crush on the blonde who's shoulder she was currently resting her head on, but it's not like they could become more, at least not until she freed herself from a certain flaming bird.

Maybe she could recruit him after all? But how long would it take to bring him up to speed? Decisions, Decisions.

It wasn't long into the episode they were watching that she began to feel drowsy, her eyelids began to close on her own no matter how hard she tried to stay awake.

Then, she heard a voice say, "Ah, Naruto. Found your red thread of fate at last. I'm so proud of you."

Rias had never bolted awake as fast as she had at that moment. She blinked and then refocuses her eyes, standing in front of them was a lanky looking man wearing a similar outfit to what her blonde friend wore most of the time. A blue shirt with red swirls on the sleeves, blue slacks with the addition of some sort of flak jacket with a ton of pockets on the front, not unlike a military vest.

The man himself had spiky, gravity defying silver hair, and a single coal black eye. Much like Naruto he also wore a blue bandanna with the same metal plate with a leaf symbol with a swirl on the center that covered his left eye. The bottom half of his face was covered by a blue mask that made him look quite like a ninja.

Besides her, Naruto groaned, "Kakashi-sensei, I will literally murder you."

Kakashi raised a hand, somehow forming an upside down smile with his one visible eye, "Mah, Mah, Naruto. No need to get embarrassed, taking after your old man, eh?"

"KAKASHI!" Naruto exclaimed as his face fell into his arm.

The silver haired man turned to look at Rias, "So, you're my cute little student's girlfriend, hmm? Not bad, and here we all thought that he was too dense to notice the fairer sex."

It was then that Rias decided that the silver haired man was too smug for his own good.

"She's not my girlfriend," Naruto spoke up, which oddly enough made the red haired girl feel somewhat disappointed, "She's just a friend that comes over to watch some anime with me."

"Who also happened to be cuddling you while you had your arm around her," Kakashi pointed out seemingly amused with himself, "It's okay to admit you have a girlfriend, not surprised you went for a redhead though, truly you're just your father's son."

Faster than Rias could track, Naruto threw a pillow at the silver haired man, hitting him square on the face. Or at least appeared to be so at first glance.

To the utter disappointment of the blonde, Kakashi was holding the pillow that was thrown at him. And as the masked man lowered the pillow he pointed out, "If she isn't your girlfriend, why is your arm still wrapped around her waist?"

"Well," Rias said as she stood up with a devilish smile, "You must be the Kakashi-sensei I've heard so much about, my name is Rias Gremory, I am in fact, Naru-kun's girlfriend."

"Gah!" Naruto could be heard as he clutched his chest in the background.

"Rias Gremory, hmm?" Kakashi said, staying silent for a moment and then nodded, "I approve, just no children around until Naruto is at least twenty please. Though it would be amusing watching him finally getting a taste of his own medicine, he was a handful as a child, as cunning as a fox you could say!"

"SHADDUP, KAKASHI!" Naruto's yell could be heard from across the city.

Despite herself, Rias doubled over laughing. Much to her detriment as she held her belly as the sheer amount of laughs caused her pain.

Yup, Rias Gremory had it bad for Naruto Uzumaki.
