A/N Sphygmus, yeah Harmony wouldn't drop her mask around the people at school, especially after seeing how, in the show, people turned on Cordelia for dating Xander. Well, until Cordelia stood up and decided she'd do what she wanted, regardless, which took a lot of courage. At this point in this story I'm going to start bringing in more of the background players, like Harmony and Johnathan and weaving them into the story. Which will allow them to grow and change as well, I hope.
Kenn, as to whether the Watchers recorded the nightmares of the Slayers involving the deaths of previous Slayer, two things hinted at it. The fact that they knew which Slayers Spike killed might mean either that Slayer's Watcher at the time of their deaths was aware of which vampire killed them or one of the Slayers that came after them told their Watcher. Also, when Buffy gets stabbed by her own stake while being cocky and Riley blows the nest that vampire is part of up with a grenade, Buffy begins researching the death's of prior Slayers and asked Giles why the Slayer's Watchers didn't keep better records and his answer was that they probably found it too distasteful. He meant painful, I think. At least, I hope so. Some of them had to actually care, right?

While Buffy and Joyce were talking, Xander had located Cordelia holding court with the Cordettes and waited for her to finish her mini lecture.
"I give fashion advice freely, I always have." She waved her hand slightly. "Some people are smart enough to take my advice, some sadly are not."
"Like Rosenberg," Aura smirked. "You've been 'advising' her for years on her clothing choices and she's never shown the brains she claims to have and made any changes."
Cordelia narrowed her eyes at Aura and the girl squirmed slightly. "Willow didn't understand the image she was portraying with her clothing choices or why her choices mattered or how they reflected on her image. I recently sat down with her and explained what she was unaware of. In case you haven't noticed, she's begun making some changes. I'm certain, now that she understands, she'll continue to improve." Aura was unaware it was part of the 'truce' Cordelia and Willow had worked out regarding Xander and was an olive branch on Cordelia's part and the acceptance of that advice was Willow accepting the olive branch.
"Well, you've certainly managed to improve Xander's wardrobe, how much did that cost you?" Aphrodesia, another Cordette, smirked.
"Nothing, I haven't bought Xander anything, he has money of his own now, but I did offer him my advice and he proved smart enough to take it." Cordelia answered.
"What, some kind of rags to riches story?" Another Cordette asked. "Did he win the lottery or something?"
"No, just lost my Uncle." Xander informed her, as he stepped up to Cordelia's side. "Ready to go, Cor? We've got some things to take care of before we hit the Bronze."
"Dance lessons." Cordelia grinned. "Your footwork's improving and soon you'll be able to do more than slow dance."
"Why is he taking dance lessons?" Aura asked. "Besides the fact that he needs them."
"You could say it's a requirement of my future expectations." Xander replied, fundraising parties smoozing rich people did often involve formal dancing, after all.
"Like interning with Daddy's company next summer." Cordelia grinned, tossing that nugget out for the Cordettes to chew on. It had only been a little over a month since Halloween and the changes in thing's like Xander's wardrobe were noticeable and people were going to talk and speculate. Feeding them little tidbits helped control and monitor the gossip.
"What is up with dating geeks lately?" Aura asked, plainly puzzled. "First you start dating the King of Geeks and now Harmony's dating Johnathan, sure he's the Class President, but does that really make him date worthy?"
"The fact that Johnathan is one of those geeks with the potential of being a self made millionaire before he's thirty, maybe even twenty five, makes him date worthy." Cordelia answered. "If money is someone's only criteria for finding someone date worthy. I believe Johnathan has a few character traits that make him date worthy, personally. After all, I went on a date with him myself and he was very attentive, he pays attention and learns. Harmony seems happy and has been seeing him for a couple weeks now, I suggest you not give her a hard time, since in a decade she may be able to influence Johnathan regarding whether hiring someone's relative might be a good idea." Said with a straight face to future trophy wives with dead beat brothers, who glanced uneasily at each other, getting the message. Networking covered a lot of areas.
Cordelia tucked her hand into Xander's elbow and the two strolled down the hall as the Cordettes and others watched.
"Are there any other geeks in school that are date worthy?" Aura asked the others. "Besides a geek who could be on a sports team if he wanted and one that could be a millionaire before our first reunion? I have yet to find any guy who pays more attention to me personally, then to my tits. If there's a chance that geeks are willing and able to do that -." She didn't finish before the group broke up and each of them began checking out the local geek scene for any potential prospects.
