It was a cold December day and Gwen was still doing her usual routine with going to school, wedding preparations along with Christmas shopping and decorating. When out of nowhere, a blizzard started blowing and Elder Kettle has Gwen and the cups seal the door and windows.
"Whoo! That's one heck of a blizzard!" Elder Kettle said as he got the fireplace going.
"I'll say!" Gwen agreed as she magically sealed the windows.
After sealing the windows, the family gathers as the lights suddenly went out.
"Aw great! Black out!" Cuphead complained.
"At least we have the fire going." Mugman said, trying to calm his brother down.
"Yeah, but we're stuck in here and there's nothing to do!" Cuphead whined.
"Cuphead, stop your whining! We'll make the best of it!" Elder Kettle scolded before he went to sleep in his fine chair.
Gwen suddenly got an idea as she pulled up another travel magazine with an African safari on the cover. Gwen cleared her throat, getting the cup's attention. The cups gasped excitedly and grab her arms.
"Want me to do the honors guys?" Gwen asked.
"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" Both cups exclaimed.
"Don't forget me!" Ms. Chalice called.
The group looked and noticed Ms. Chalice in her ghost form and shapeshifted into her living form and quickly hopped on Gwen's shoulders. Gwen shook her head, then tapped her ink pen and disappeared.
They appear in the country Tanzania in the capital city Dodoma.
"Ah, this is more like it!" Cuphead said, feeling warm.
"I figured we could avoid the blizzard by being somewhere warm during winter." Gwen said.
"You're a genius girlfriend." Ms. Chalice complimented.
"Okay, where are we?" Mugman asked.
"We're in Dodoma, Tanzania guys." Gwen answered.
"Ooh!" All three cups exclaimed.
"Where's that?" Cuphead asked.
"It's in Africa. It's across the ocean from North America." Gwen answered.
"So, where are we gonna go?" Ms. Chalice asked looking around.
"I have the perfect place in mind." Gwen said smiling.
Gwen opened her satchel and out flew Cerulean Bolt her magic carpet.
"Alrighty then, let's go!" Mugman said excitedly.
The group hop on Cerulean Bolt and flies off north of Dodoma. They fly over the savannah taking in the beautiful sights of the African landscape.
"Where are we Gwen?" Cuphead asked.
"Guys, behold. The Serengeti." Gwen answered.
The cups look and take in the beautiful sights.
"Woah! Look at that mountain!" Mugman said and pointed.
"That's Mount Kilimanjaro." Gwen said.
"Wow. Even in a warm place like this, they still have snow on top." Ms. Chalice said.
"That's because the higher the mountain, the colder it gets." Gwen pointed out.
"What else is here?" Cuphead asked.
Cerulean Bolt flew closer to the ground and pass over a heard of galloping zebras.
"Ooh! Ooh! Zebras!" Mugman exclaimed.
"You ain't seen nothing yet." Gwen said.
They continued flying until they fly over a heard of elephants.
"Elephants!" Cuphead exclaimed.
Next, they fly over a pride of lions, a colony of meerkats, cheetahs, hippos and giraffes.
"The wildlife is amazing." Ms. Chalice said, petting a giraffe's head.
"Yeah, amazing what wonders the human world has." Mugman agreed.
Just then, the giraffe started drinking out of Cuphead's milk, to his unamusement.
"Alright I think we've seen enough." Cuphead said.
The group leave the giraffes and head towards Mount Kilimanjaro.
"Let's see what the view looks like from the top." Gwen suggested.
"No! I don't wanna be cold! You said so yourself: the higher the mountain the colder it gets." Cuphead protested.
"Okay okay, I'm sorry I suggested it." Gwen sarcastically apologized.
"Maybe we should head back to town." Mugman suggested.
"Okay fine." Gwen reluctantly agreed.
Cerulean Bolt turns around and started to fly back towards Dodoma.
Before they could fly back, something catches Ms. Chalice's eye.
"Hey, what's going on there?" Ms. Chalice asked pointing down.
The group looked down and noticed a young African girl struggling to rescue a lion cub trapped in a cage. Armed gunmen capture her and prepare to kill her.
"Poachers!" Gwen exclaimed.
"We gotta do something!" Mugman said.
"Not to worry, I got an idea." Gwen said.
The lead poacher aims his gun at the girl's head, preparing to shoot her dead. Suddenly out of nowhere, a massive illusion of celestial lions appeared and roared thunderously at the poachers. They screamed, dropped the cage with the lion cub and released the girl and retreated in their jeep and drove as fast as they could.
The girl is shocked as she broke the lock on the cage and freed the lion cub. The group flew down and the girl is shocked at her savior as Gwen hopped off and approached her.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Gwen asked.
The girl cautiously approached Gwen, noticing her glowing rainbow hair and glowing golden eyes. She reached her hand and move her fingers through her hair.
"Oh, oops." Gwen said and transformed back to her normal self.
The girl kept studying Gwen's hair and eyes.
"Aw look at that lion cub." Mugman said in a cute-like voice.
Mugman pets the lion cub when it tries to roar.
"What a cute baby roar." Mugman complimented.
Cuphead and Ms. Chalice pet the lion cub as the girl stared at the cups in shock.
"Uh, maybe you don't understand me but you're safe now. Forget you saw me." Gwen calmly said.
"Let's go guys." Gwen said.
They stop petting the cub and join Gwen back on her magic carpet. Before Cerulean Bolt could take off, the girl's hand grasped Gwen's shoulder.
"Wait!" The girl finally spoke.
"Oh, you do understand me." Gwen said shocked.
"I need your help Msichana wa Uchawi. I must return this lost cub back to his pride. Can you take us with you. I know where the pride lives." The girl requested.
"Msichana wa Uchawi?" Cuphead asked confused.
"Magic girl in my language Swahili." The girl translated.
"Oh." Both cups said.
"Who are you?" Ms. Chalice asked.
"I am Lulu. What names may I call you?" Lulu introduced herself and asked.
"I'm Gwendolyn Mae Emmons, call me Gwen. And these are my friends Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice." Gwen introduced.
The cups wave to Lulu.
"Will you help me return the lost cub?" Lulu asked.
Gwen and the cups looked at each other. They scoot over, making room as Gwen patted the magic carpet. Lulu climbs on the magic carpet with the lion cub.
"Which way?" Gwen asked.
Lulu pointed in a direction. Cerulean Bolt flies in the direction. They flew over the Serengeti until Lulu pointed down.
"There they are! The lion cub's pride!" Lulu exclaimed.
Cerulean Bolt flew down to the ground keeping their distance from the pride as the male lion walked toward them growling.
"Go little one. You're home now." Lulu gently said to the lion cub.
The lion cub hopped off the magic carpet and approached the alpha lion as a lioness walked toward the group. The cub cried out as the lioness grabbed the cub's scruff and took the cub away. The alpha lion turned around and walked away from the group.
"That was amazing." Cuphead said.
"Yes, young kikombe." Lulu said.
"Kiko-what?" Ms. Chalice asked.
"Kikombe. It means cup." Lulu explained.
"Oh." The cups said.
"Where do you live?" Gwen asked.
"I have another request." Lulu said.
"What is it?" Gwen asked.
"Will you take me to the poacher's camp? They have more trapped animals they plan to sell on the black market." Lulu asked.
"There's more trapped animals?" Mugman asked.
"Yes, young kikombe." Lulu answered.
Lulu looked at Gwen with pleading eyes.
"Please Msichana wa Uchawi. Will you help them?" Lulu asked pleadingly.
Gwen sighed, then realized she must help her.
"Okay, where's their camp?" Gwen asked.
Lulu pointed in another direction. They fly off away from the lion pride and headed west until they reached a campsite.
"Hey, this is like the time we saved Wally Warble's kid from hunters." Cuphead said remembering.
"Oh yeah." Mugman agreed.
"SHH!" Lulu shushed.
The group looked and noticed the group of poachers resting after being chased away by Gwen's cosmic illusion. They noticed more cages of exotic animals from meerkats, cheetahs and an elephant calf.
"Those jerks are capturing more animals!" Ms. Chalice quietly said angrily.
"Yes, they don't care what happens to the animals, they only care about how much they get paid." Lulu said angrily.
"How do we free those poor animals?" Mugman asked.
"I got an idea." Gwen said, getting an idea.
"Will you do that magic trick again?" Lulu asked.
"Even better." Gwen said.
Gwen got out her ink pen and magically unlocked the cages. The poachers noticed and quickly got up and prepared to grab their rifles. Gwen magically made the riffles fly up and pointed at the poachers, making them freeze in fear. Then, Gwen magically levitated a long chain and wrapped the poachers tightly and finally threw them in one of the larger cages.
The animals broke free from the cages and flee back to their habitats.
"That should get the authorities attention." Gwen said as she made a flashing light above their campsite.
"Whoo! Yay! Whoo!" All three cups cheered.
"Now they'll know how it feels to be caged and chained up." Ms. Chalice said with a smirk on her face.
"That elephant calf needs our help." Lulu said, pointing down.
The group looked and saw the grey elephant calf crying out for his mother.
"Aw poor thing." Mugman said.
The group flew down to the elephant calf.
"It's okay little guy." Cuphead said calmly.
Gwen and Lulu gently petted the elephant calf as he calmed down. The cups took turns petting the elephant calf.
Just then, they hear another elephant trumpeting in the distance. The elephant calf happily walked toward the noise.
"Ooh! I'll bet that's his mama!" Ms. Chalice said.
The group follow the elephant calf until they noticed a large herd of elephants approaching them. The elephant calf approached his mother and were happily reunited.
"Aww!" The three cups exclaimed.
"We have done a good deed." Lulu said with a smile.
"Yeah, it's what we do. Help people." Gwen said.
Just then, a larger matriarch elephant drew closer to the group. Gwen gasped until Lulu calmed her down.
"Shh! Don't move and don't speak!" Lulu whispered.
The matriarch elephant prepared to charge until Lulu stood up and waved her arms, stopping the elephant. The cups sighed of relief.
"The matriarch is very protective of her herd." Lulu whispered.
The matriarch elephant stretched her trunk towards Gwen, sniffing her then drew back. The elephant herd leaves the group behind.
"That was cool!" Cuphead exclaimed.
"I'll say!" Mugman agreed.
"Where do you live?" Gwen asked.
"My village is north of here." Lulu answered.
Cerulean Bolt flies north in the sky. They noticed down below the poachers being arrested for their crimes by the authorities.
"Serves those jerks right!" Ms. Chalice smirked.
"I agree with you Chalice." Lulu agreed.
They continued flying and sped past a herd of galloping antelope. Next, they dove past crocodiles and hippos on the river.
Finally, they arrived at a village with huts and the natives gathered as they witnessed in shock Cerulean Bolt landing in the middle of the village. They cheer for Lulu's return as she explained Gwen's actions to her people.
Later, a celebration was held with dancing and music. Some of the locals observe the three cups, studying their appearances.
"Okay, that's a little too close." Mugman said uneasy.
But a little girl lifted his head off his body and sipped his milk. Then, she placed his head back on his body.
"Really?" Mugman asked.
Gwen was in her celestial form as local artists painted her on their canvases. Others touched her hair and are astounded.
"My people really like you and the kikombe." Lulu said, sitting next to Gwen.
"Yeah, maybe too much." Gwen said as more locals looked at her magic inkwell and her ink pen.
"You saved my life; I want to repay you." Lulu said.
"No, it's alright. I should grab the cups and get going." Gwen said as she stood up.
"I want to accompany you." Lulu insisted.
"I appreciate the offer, but I have to run back to the city." Gwen said.
"Then I will come with you to Dodoma. It has been a while since I've been there." Lulu said.
Gwen sighed knowing she was dragging another person into her personal matters.
"Okay, you win." Gwen said, losing the argument.
Gwen gathered her friends, hopped on Cerulean Bolt and leave the village.
They fly until they reached the outskirts of Dodoma. They sigh of relief as they sat down at a restaurant. They order mandazi, ugali (a corn porridge), mishkaki (roasted beef and vegetables on skewers), wali wa nazi (a rice dish) for lunch.
"Ah, that hit the spot." Ms. Chalice said, feeling full.
"You said it." Mugman agreed.
"They have wonderful food here in our homeland." Lulu said.
"Maybe I could find a Christmas gift here for mama." Gwen said noticing a gift shop nearby.
"Not a bad idea." Cuphead agreed.
"Christmas?" Lulu asked.
"It's a holiday we celebrate by being with our families, exchange gifts and eat a wonderful feast. Doing things together." Gwen explained.
"That sounds like fun." Lulu said.
"Oh, it is fun sister." Ms. Chalice said.
"Yeah, and when it's snowing, we like to go sledding, build a snowman and snowball fights." Cuphead added.
"Snow?" Lulu asked.
"Oh, it's that white stuff on top of Mount Kilimanjaro." Mugman answered.
"Oh, in your home, the frozen white rain falls on your land at a certain time of year." Lulu said, now understanding.
"Yes. And it is very cold too." Ms. Chalice said.
"Colder than the rainstorms we have here?" Lulu asked.
"Oh, much colder than that." Gwen warned.
"I want to see snow. I have never seen it." Lulu said.
"If you do, you'll need to dress warm." Gwen suggested.
"Will you dress me warm with your magic?" Lulu asked.
"Oh yeah, no problem." Gwen answered.
"I shall show you the gift shop if you want to buy your mother a present." Lulu said.
They leave the restaurant and head to the gift shop. They purchase African animal wood carvings, colorful beaded bracelets and kanga cloth Lulu picked out for the cups.
Something catches Gwen's eye. She notices a beautiful, rare blue gemstone called tanzanite in the form of a teardrop necklace with white gold and diamonds surrounding the gemstone.
"Ooh. That would look so beautiful on mama." Gwen said.
"That is the rare gemstone tanzanite. It only comes from one place, and it is my homeland." Lulu explained.
"It's so beautiful. I think it'd look good on my mother." Gwen said.
"Would you like to try it on and see if your mother would like it?" Lulu asked.
"Oh yes please." Gwen answered.
Lulu signaled the salesclerk and took the necklace and handed it to Gwen along with a mirror. Gwen puts the necklace on her and checks herself in the mirror.
"Ooh! That is so lovely on you." Lulu complimented.
"Thank you. But I think it would be lovelier on my mother." Gwen said.
"Alright, shall I ring you up? It will be $3000." The salesclerk said.
Gwen takes off the necklace and hands it back to the salesclerk. He prepares to sell the necklace to Gwen. She reaches into her purse, only to find stacks of cash unknowingly put in her wallet. Unsure how it got there without the magic inkwell doing it, she pays the 3 grand for the necklace and the salesclerk hands her the necklace boxed up.
"Wow, that went well." Gwen said.
"That was fun, but can we go home now?" Mugman asked.
"Will you take me to your world?" Lulu asked.
"The Inkwell Isles?" Cuphead asked.
"Inkwell Isles? Is that your homeland in your world?" Lulu asked.
"Yep, it sure is." Ms. Chalice answered.
Gwen sighed, recalling the last time she brought her friends Lisette and Freya with her.
"Okay, but just for a while then I gotta get you home." Gwen stated her condition.
"Deal." Lulu agreed.
"But first…" Gwen said as she raised her ink pen.
She magically dresses Lulu in a winter dress outfit and boots. Lulu gasped as she looked at her new outfit.
"Lulu, do me a favor and don't freak out." Gwen suggested.
Gwen tapped her ink pen, and the group disappeared. They reappear in the cottage with Lulu with them this time. Lulu is in shock of her new surroundings and her new appearance.
"Calm down Lulu! It's okay!" Gwen assured her.
Lulu took a few breaths and looked all around the cottage, then she noticed Elder Kettle still napping in his chair. Lulu gasped and walked closer to him spouting out steam as he snored.
"What is this?" Lulu asked.
"That's our elderly caretaker, Elder Kettle." Cuphead answered.
"He's sleeping so don't wake him up." Mugman added.
Lulu sticks her hand over his spout and felt the steam.
"Ooh! That's warm!" Lulu quietly said.
"And wait till you see this." Ms. Chalice said, pointing to a window.
Lulu gasped and walked over to the window and watched the snow falling around the cottage.
"Wow! Real snow!" Lulu exclaimed.
"Yeah, and there's plenty to go sledding and other fun stuff!" Cuphead said excitedly.
The cups put on their winter outfits while Gwen magically dressed Lulu in a winter coat, gloves and scarf. The cups excitedly run outside with their sleds while Gwen helped introduce Lulu to the cold winter.
Lulu takes her first slow steps into the snow, then noticed she left a trail of footprints.
"This is amazing. You can easily leave tracks in the snow like in the dirt." Lulu said.
"Yeah, come on. We'll show you how we have fun in the snow." Gwen said, taking her hand.
She leads Lulu to the hills where other locals are sledding. Lulu gasped at the sight of the locals.
"Mungu wangu! They are not humans!" Lulu exclaimed.
"SHH!" Gwen shushed.
Lulu quickly silenced herself.
"Yes, this is a world far different from the human world. Everybody here is either objects, food, plants, animals or bugs. There are a few of us humans here." Gwen quietly explained.
Lulu looked at the locals sledding then back at Gwen.
"So, everyone here is different. No one is the same?" Lulu asked.
"Nobody is the same wherever you go." Gwen answered.
"Interesting. So, we are outsiders to them?" Lulu asked.
"I used to be, but now they've accepted me in their community as one of them." Gwen explained.
Lulu stood amazed at Gwen.
"So, wanna try out sledding?" Gwen asked.
"Oh, yes please." Lulu answered.
Gwen teleports themselves on the top of the hill where the cups were waiting for them.
"There you two are! We were about to go without you!" Cuphead said.
"Sorry, just explaining everything to Lulu." Gwen explained.
"Come on! We're next!" Mugman said.
Gwen magically makes herself a sled and approaches the edge of the hill. She sets the sled down and climbs on with Lulu getting on behind her.
"You might wanna hang on." Gwen warned.
Lulu grasped Gwen, unsure what was going to happen. Just then, Gwen shoved themselves down the hill as the cups started sledding down the hill, yelling excitedly. They sledded until they reached the bottom with the other locals.
Lulu was laughing from enjoying the fun.
"I admit, that was fun. We don't have this back home, but I still love my home." Lulu admitted.
"That's alright. Every place has its fun moments. No better no worse." Gwen said.
"Very true." Lulu agreed.
"Hey guys! We're gonna build a snowman! Come on!" Cuphead called.
"What is a snowman and how do you build one?" Lulu asked.
"Come on, we'll show you." Gwen answered.
The humans joined the cups and Cuphead and Mugman started rolling a snow boulder for the bottom. Gwen got to work rolling a smaller than the bigger boulder of snow for the middle. Gwen lifted the middle ball on the larger ball.
"What else?" Lulu asked.
"Now we make a smaller ball for the head." Ms. Chalice answered.
"May I try that?" Lulu asked.
"Of course. First, make a snowball in your hand and make it round." Gwen instructed.
Lulu scooped up some snow and made a snowball.
"Now, put it in the snow and roll it around until it starts getting bigger." Gwen instructed.
Lulu followed her instructions and made the snowball bigger with the fresh snow around them. Lulu lifted the head in her arms.
"Is this good?" Lulu asked.
The cups gave it a thumbs up as Lulu placed the head on the balls of snow, making the snowman's body complete. Cuphead put two lumps of coal for the eyes, Mugman put the button nose and Ms. Chalice put a bowtie on around its neck. Lulu drew a smile on the face.
"What do ya think guys?" Cuphead asked.
"So, this is what a snowman is? A person made of snow?" Lulu asked.
"That's right." Mugman answered.
"I feel like something's missing." Gwen said, looking at the snowman.
"What is it?" Ms. Chalice asked.
Gwen used her ink pen and magically made a top hat with a flower appear on his head.
"Oh, that looks better." Cuphead complimented.
"Hey Gwen, could you make him come to life?" Mugman asked.
"Hmm…" Gwen thought for a moment.
Gwen pointed her ink pen, and some magic beamed in the snowman. After a few seconds, the snowman moved his snowy arms and took a few steps. The group gasped in shock. The snowman turned around and waved to the group.
"Hello Mr. Snowman." Mugman greeted.
Mr. Snowman runs up to the group and wrapped his large snowy arms around the group in a hug.
"Nice to meet ya Mr. Snowman." Cuphead said.
Ms. Chalice turned into her ghost form and possessed Mr. Snowman to Lulu's shock.
"Chalice is a spirit?" Lulu asked.
"It's a long story." Gwen said.
Ms. Chalice made Mr. Snowman tap-dance, making the group smile. They applaud as Ms. Chalice exited Mr. Snowman's body and turned back into her living form. Mr. Snowman started dancing on his own, to their amusement.
The group applauded him. It doesn't take them long to figure out they drew a crowd of civilians from Inkwell City.
"We have drawn a crowd." Lulu said.
Gwen looked and saw the locals applauding with big smiles.
A little duckling approached Gwen.
"Hey Gwen? Could you make all our snowmen come to life?" The duckling asked.
Gwen looked at the other citizens as they nodded eagerly.
"Aw, what the heck?" Gwen said with a smile.
Everyone cheered as Gwen magically made all the snowmen come to life. Just then, Gwen magically creates music instruments, and a few snowmen grabbed them.
Gwen also made aurora lights appear above them as lights.
Other snowmen set up a buffet of treats and hot cocoa and apple cider for the party provided by Gwen.
Two snowmen started playing flutes and were joined in by a violin and a tambourine. The snowmen stared dancing as everyone else joined in dancing.
Mr. Snowman took Gwen's hands and lead her into dancing as another snowman took Lulu's hands and led her into a dance. Then everyone held hands in a circle and danced.
After the song ends, everybody cheered as they grabbed a treat and hot drink. Lulu was happily eating a raspberry Danish and hot cocoa.
"This sweet food and drink are wonderful!" Lulu happily complimented.
"I knew you would love it." Gwen said.
Just then, Gwen and Lulu are approached by a group of familiar faces.
"Sugar!" Cordelia happily exclaimed and hugged Gwen.
"Hey Cordelia." Gwen greeted.
Akilah, Elijah, her cousin Virgil and Lisette arrive and hug Gwen and Cordelia.
"You're all here!" Gwen exclaimed.
"Of course. We heard you were throwing a winter party in the woods, so we came." Akilah said.
"Wait a minute where's…?" Gwen was about to ask until she felt a familiar pair of arms lift her up and spun her around.
"Clarence!" Gwen exclaimed.
"You think I'd miss this honey?" Clarence asked as they both kissed.
"And who is this mademoiselle?" Lisette asked.
"Everyone, this is Lulu. She is from Tanzania of the Maasai people." Gwen introduced Lulu.
"It is wonderful to meet you all." Lulu greeted.
"Lulu, this is my fiancé Clarence, his sister Cordelia, my cousin Virgil, and my friends Akilah, Elijah and Lisette." Gwen introduced the others.
Lulu shook hands with each of them.
Elijah held up his kinnor and Clarence held up his ukulele. Both men started playing their instruments along with the snowmen band and everyone resumed dancing. Lisette takes the center and does a beautiful cancan dance until a snowman led her into a dance.
Everybody danced until the sun was starting to set in the distance.
"Oh! It's sunset! We gotta get to town for the tree lighting ceremony!" A walrus exclaimed.
Everyone hurries to Inkwell City with the humans tagging along. They arrive in the town square as a large Christmas tree stood decorated. The ladybug mayor approaches the podium with a microphone.
"Citizens of Inkwell City, we are about to light up this beautiful tree!" The mayor announced.
Everybody cheered along with the snowmen.
"Tree lighting ceremony?" Lulu asked.
"Yep. Every year, the mayor lights the Christmas tree for the holiday season. And a special volunteer is voted to push the big red button." Gwen answered.
"I wonder who this year's volunteer is." Clarence said.
"Last year it was that nice elder lady elephant." Akilah said.
"Yes, I remember her. She bought one of my drum sets." Elijah said.
"Shh! They're about to announce this year's volunteer!" Cordelia said as she held Virgil.
"Alright folks! The moment you've all been waiting for! This year's volunteer is…" The mayor said as he pulled out an envelope.
The marching band played the drumroll as the mayor opened the envelope.
"Gwendolyn Mae Emmons!" The mayor announced.
Everybody cheered as Gwen went up on stage to join the mayor at the podium with a giant red button next to him.
"Ah Gwen! Welcome! You have been voted to be this year's volunteer for all the service you've done for our community." The mayor said as he shook her hand.
"Thank you, Mr. Mayor." Gwen thanked.
"And now everyone, let's start the countdown!" The mayor announced.
"10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1!" Everybody counted down until Gwen pushed the big red button.
Suddenly, the Christmas lights started turning on, brightening up the enormous tree, making everyone gasp in awe. Lulu stood with her mouth hung open and wide eyed.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Virgil asked.
"Yes, it is beautiful." Lulu answered.
Gwen rejoins her fiancé and friends. Gwen and Clarence both kissed.
"Let the festivities begin!" The mayor announced.
The same snowmen from the forest played music and everyone resumed dancing and treat tables were once again set up with the hot beverages.
After dancing, the humans and cups reunite with each other.
"That was fun, but I'm all funned out." Cuphead said yawning.
"Aw, is it bedtime?" Gwen asked in a cute voice.
"Gwen, we're not… babies!" Mugman protested as he was yawning.
"I should head home too. Will you take me home?" Lulu asked.
"Of course I will." Gwen answered.
"I'll take the cups home while you drop her off." Clarence said as he lifted a sleeping Ms. Chalice.
"Thanks love." Gwen thanked and kissed him.
Gwen tapped her ink pen and teleports Lulu back to her village in Tanzania where the locals gathered to greet them.
"Thank you for that wonderful Christmas experience, Gwen. Asante." Lulu thanked as she held up her souvenirs from the Inkwell Isles including a snow globe with a snowman.
"You're welcome, Lulu. Just be careful if you deal with poachers again." Gwen said.
"I will, I promise." Lulu promised.
Lulu gives Gwen a heartwarming hug.
"Please come back soon." Lulu said.
"You bet. Farewell." Gwen said.
"Kwa heri, Msichana wa Uchawi." Lulu said goodbye in Swahili.
Gwen nodded and teleports back to the cottage where Clarence was waiting for her.
"Are the cups in bed?" Gwen asked.
"Taken care of." Clarence answered.
"And the snowmen?" Gwen asked.
"They helped with the cleanup, then they returned to where they stood earlier and turned back into lifeless snowmen." Clarence answered.
"I made that spell temporary." Gwen admitted.
"It was fun while it lasted." Clarence said.
"So… what do you wanna do now?" Gwen asked as she held him.
"I know just the thing." Clarence said with a smile.
Gwen and Clarence cuddled together on the couch in front of the fireplace sipping eggnog together at his apartment until they both fell asleep together.
Gwen woke up wondering how she got the $3000 in cash earlier at the Dodoma gift shop. She pulled out her wallet from her purse and took a closer look at it. To her surprise, she finds a little note hidden in a zipper pouch. She pulled out the letter and read it.
"Lady Gosa,
Consider this enchanted wallet a Christmas token of our appreciation for the kindness and happiness you have given to others. You must promise to never reveal anyone of your new gift and never abuse its power. We hope it will help you with your adventures.

Gwen smiled and looked up. She clasped her hands and closed her eyes.
"Thank you, my lords and ladies. I promise." Gwen prayed.
Gwen went back to sleep with Clarence as the fire kept burning in the fireplace.
Gwen felt proud of herself with helping Lulu and introducing her to winter and Christmas and joining in on the fun along with the snowmen she magically brought to life. Lulu introduced what she learned about Christmas, and they decided to celebrate in their own way with music, dancing, treats and gifts exchanges.
