The Kongs vs. King K. Rool at the Glitz Pit
(A/N: Happy 30th Anniversary, Donkey Kong Country!)
The Glitz Pit was alive with energy like never before. Banners emblazoned with the iconic "DK" logo fluttered in the air, bananas hung from every conceivable perch, and the packed stadium was a cacophony of cheers and applause. It wasn't just another fight night—it was the 30th anniversary of Donkey Kong Country, and Glitzville had gone all out for the occasion.
The main event? A showdown for the ages: Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong vs. King K. Rool. But this wasn't just any fight. With Funky Kong himself acting as the referee and a custom banana-themed gong set to kick things off, the match was set to become a piece of Glitz Pit history.
Backstage, Donkey Kong cracked his knuckles, the determination in his eyes clear as day. Diddy hopped from foot to foot, adjusting his cap.
"Yo, DK," Funky strolled in, his signature sunglasses gleaming under the bright backstage lights. "You and little bro ready to throw down? This ain't just for the win—it's for the legacy, dude!"
DK let out a confident chest pound. "We're ready, Funky. Let's remind everyone who the real kings of the jungle are!"
Meanwhile, in the opposite corner, King K. Rool adjusted his golden belly plate, his sinister laugh echoing through the corridor. "Hah! Thirty years, and they're still parading those apes around? Time to remind them why I'm the real star of this saga!"
As the thirty-second countdown began, the crowd erupted into a frenzy. A colossal screen above the arena displayed a massive ticking clock.
"THIRTY! TWENTY-NINE! TWENTY-EIGHT!" the audience chanted.
Funky Kong stood front and center in the arena, holding a comically oversized mallet in one hand. Behind him, the banana-decorated gong gleamed under the arena lights, its surface etched with a golden "30" to mark the anniversary.
"Alright, ladies, gents, and all you wild critters out there!" Funky called into his mic. "The moment's here! When that gong sounds, it's time for the brawl of the century! You feelin' it?"
The crowd roared back.
"Let's get funky!" Funky shouted, hoisting the mallet above his head. With a dramatic swing, he brought it down with a resounding GONG!
The fight was chaos and spectacle from the start.
King K. Rool opened with a barrage of attacks, his signature crown toss barely missing DK's head. DK countered with a thunderous ground pound, shaking the arena and sending K. Rool stumbling. Diddy zipped around, using his Peanut Popguns to keep K. Rool on the defensive.
But the Kremling King wasn't going down easy. With a mighty roar, he unleashed his new move, the Cannonball Cyclone, spinning wildly and forcing DK and Diddy to regroup.
From the sidelines, Funky blew his whistle. "No biting, dude! Keep it clean!"
As the fight raged on, the crowd was on their feet. The energy was electric. Every punch, dodge, and slam felt like a tribute to three decades of adventures, rivalries, and triumphs.
In the final moments, with both sides giving it their all, DK and Diddy executed their iconic team-up move: DK launched Diddy into the air, where the little Kong spun like a propeller before slamming into K. Rool with a powerful kick. K. Rool staggered, falling to one knee. DK seized the moment, delivering a mighty punch that sent his rival sprawling.
The gong rang again, signaling the end of the match. Funky raised DK and Diddy's arms high.
"WINNERS: DONKEY AND DIDDY KONG!"
The crowd erupted as confetti rained down, the Glitz Pit vibrating with the sounds of celebration.
Later, as the Kongs celebrated with a mountain of bananas backstage, Funky chuckled. "Man, that was some righteous action out there. Thirty years strong, bros. Here's to thirty more!"
DK grinned, raising a banana in a toast. "To thirty more."
And with that, the Kongs closed out the night as champions—both in the ring and in the hearts of fans everywhere.
