Chapter 6
Once making inside the building and taking a moment to rest herself by laying up against the wall, April took the chance to recollect on what brought her in this current situation. The memory of knowing that Tigerclaw have went into the past and killed past Karai, and resulted in aiding his past self to complete his mission that the Boglodites have given him. And in result was Earth's future of being conquered by the invasion that April was currently in but, thankfully made it out in time and hopefully get the grandest mission of her life to be completed.
"Old NIB headquarters, I'm on the way." said April, removing herself off the wall and approach the elevator.
When pressing the call and waited for a few seconds the elevator reach her floor and went inside before pressing the button to the first floor, and lean back with her foot over the other before beginning to hum to herself to past the time. April hummed for a short few seconds before noticing the man in a blue business attire outfit with a newspaper in hand, and was looking at her in a curious kinda way let alone feeling uncomfortable. April eyed the man for a few seconds before turned back to face the numbers above their heads to see the dial going down, and then looked back at the man again who was now reading the newspaper and try his best to pretend that she was not inside the same elevator box as him. Motioning herself. April stepped a little bit closer towards the now shaking man.
"Hey, uh, what day is it?." April begin.
"Um, Monday." answered the man before looking back at the paper.
"No, I mean what day is it by number?." April questioned the man with eagerness.
The man looked at April with a questionable look. "The first. Are you high?."
"What?. Of course not. Are you high?." April asked back with her arms folded and said, "Because you're acting like I'm about to jump you or something."
"No." answered the man before looking back to his reading.
"What year is it?." April asked her serious question.
The man stopped reading and looked at April with wonder. "2006. Are you sure that you are not on some drugs?. Because if so then I have to take you to get some help. A young woman your age should not be on that stuff and just throwing her life away for some Pimp."
April arched her eyebrow with a little anger. "Excuse me, I am not a freaking whore junky. And further more I was only asking you a simple question. Alright?."
The elevator have finally reached the first floor and opened its doors in which April quickly exit herself out of the elevator box. Next, she exit out of the building and took a pause to have a good strong look at her surroundings. The environment that she sees were competly different from her time when seeing some people talking on their flip phones or even see tourist people taking pictures with a street performer with an actual film camera. April finished looking at even more old things before making her way out to the bus stop and take the bus to NIB but, quickly remembered that all of her money was through her digital card and in the 2006 they only except change. Plus, knowing that showing her future phone to the past would might cause more harm to the time stream. She could just go to her bank that The NIB have assigned her to go to since the day she joined and get money from there but, also remembered that she did not exist as an agent in this timeline.
"Damn, I hated when Karai is right about having real money in my pockets and rely on digital transactions." said April to herself when crossing the street.
She walked to the shortcut that she sometimes take when driving back to HQ after her and Karai was done doing outside work, as April headed to where the building stood all pretty and fresh. The NIB headquarters was just right in front of her and getting ready to do her thing like she planned on doing it but, remembered one thing that she somehow forgot. She can not go in all due to the fact that her favorite guy who sits in the chair and read a either the newspaper or magazine, and he would stop her and made the attempt to interrogate her. With her head down with a mumble of cussing under her breath, she then turned back and went to go searching for a place to lay low until the right date arrives.
"I need a place to sleep." April said to herself when feeling herself tired from the fight against the Boglodites in her changed timeline. "I think, I can find or sneak myself into a hotel and stay in a room. After all I am a ninja and so it should not be a problem for me."
April walked to an ally before quickly using her ninja skills by running up the wall and quickly back flipped over, and landed her feet on the rooftop before beginning her jump hike towards the heart of New York City. She smirked with joyfulness when feeling the great breeze blowing through her face as she can not help but want to sight see a bit before calling it an early nap. April made a quick stop to see a movie theater and shrugged before going down to that rooftop, and did her ninja stealth with great ease without being seen from anyone. She snuck right on inside the place and easily sneak to grab a large bag of fresh popcorn and large soft drink, after seeing the refreshment man made it fresh and tell he was about to either go on break or clocking out for the day before he even notice. Then once seeing no security in sight and completely made herself visible, April took the moment to browse to see what was playing in the year 2006.
"Mmm. Ant Bully sounds good to watch. Then again Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest sounds more interesting than the cartoon movie. Huh, and the next film for pirates will begin after the end of Ant Bully." said April, before deciding to go ahead and enter the room where Ant Bully was playing.
When entering she could see that the seats were old fashion and not being modern with a footrest let alone the seats being none preserved. With not wasting any time looking around she headed for the top and sat at the perfect middle seat before putting her stolen cup in the cup holder, and started chewing her also stolen popcorn and glad to know that it had butter on it.
"Man, I forget how great it was to have free will to pick your own seats without selecting a preserve one. Geez, I hate it to find no good seats in my time." said April, while putting a scoop full of popcorn in her mouth.
April watched every single scene of the movie without blinking her eyes while drinking her cup, and took the moment to pull out her phone that had a automatic brightness adjustment when being out in daylight or in the dark. When her phone out and instantly turned on to see the brightness is lowered down perfectly for movie theater standards, all thanks to Kraang technology and took the moment to read her screen. To her surprise the phone showed the exact date and current time of the past before daring to look further on her phone. She went to check her live camera app that was built for seeing the inside of NIB headquarters with hope of looking on the inside but, unfortunately her screen on the app went blank and popped up a message to inform her saying 'Error/Offline'.
"I guess my phone does not connect with their video cameras. No surprise at all." April told herself when looking more in her phone.
April looked at her Gmail and gained the same results from the current app. Next, she looked at her game apps to see if they were working in this timeline. She went to tap to her candy crush app and automatically got put out with a message saying that this game does not exist, and disapponitly put her phone back into her pocket to resume watching the movie. As time rolled on after watching both movies and feel like calling it a day, April headed straight for the five star hotel called the Four Seasons Hotel New York. Once landing on the buildings roof she quickly got in through the buildings roof door and found herself in one of hallways.
With the quick ninja quickness she managed to break into one of the rooms with breaking the scan pad and walk right on in. Closing the door behind her she then walked inside to have a good look at her temperaly room before hitting the hay. April headed for the bedroom to find someone who was already using the room and found a man who looked like he was getting ready for a wedding seeing he was dressed all black. The man blinked for a second before reacting to April's appearance.
"Uh, are you the maid?." He asked.
"Yes." April begin. "Are you going somewhere speaicl?. If you do not mind me asking?."
"Indeed. I am about to go to my wedding and spend the honeymoon here in this hotel." He informed April.
April nodded while diging in her inner pocket to grab her shades and favorite tool to use.
"Oh, well then that case why don't I take your picture?. They last forever you know?." said April, placing her shades on.
The man smiled without agure and position himself for his picture to be taking. Smiling be and waited for his picture shot despict not asking about the strange camera that April is holding.

April removed her shades and return her neuralizer before making up a story to the man saying that she is his long lost missing half sister, and wanted to congratulate on marrying a nice girl. Plus, telling him that his parents did not mention about her due to the burden pain of losing her in which it worked out well. Well enough for the russian man to offer a room for April in which she happily accepted, and found herself attending the man's wedding for a brief moment of time before departing the fancy ballroom and headed to her room and lay down in her bed with her shoes and socks off. Staring up at the white celieing with the a.c. running to help put her asleep, April was all focused on her mission to save Karai and time itself before it is too late, and she will meet and kill past Tigerclaw on Coney Island before he kills Roman the fabulous. Then take care of future Tigerclaw before heading back to her own time and resume her normal life as an NIB agent. Still she wondered on why she was the only person that remembered Karai and no one else. The thought on that subject was confusing and unexplained.
However, Renet did say that she was actually there went it happened but, that did not make any since to April. She never met Karai until later on over the years unless their was more to it than what was known. April shook her head before rolling over to her stomach and got in her sleep position before closing her eyes.
*April's Dream*
"Tag!. You're it!." said a little April, wearing a black Halo: Combat Evolved t-shirt with blue jean shorts and white sneakers.
"Not if I get you first April!." said another little girl, who April can not recognize the face.
The two were playing in the park and having a nice picnic together as the two were trying win their little game. The girl that April was runny away from was jumping and back flipping faster to go tag April but, the redheaded girl laughed when jumping over the girl who smirked at the move that April performed.
"Not bad. I guess teaching you a little higher jumps was not a waste of my efforts and time. Good job April." said the girl, when running after her again.
"Thanks, K*. You are an amazing friend. Heck, you are my only friend." said April.
"Watch out for that big fire anthills April!." said the girl, warning the little redhead.April stopped her running and looked down at the ground.
She looked to see that there were no anthills in sight and getting ready to turn around, until she was pushed to the ground roughly but not too rough and see her best friend point and laugh.
"Hahaha, now you are it April!. Catch me if you can slowpoke!." said the girl, when running quickly when seeing the redhead get back to her feet and ran faster like a female sonic the hedgehog.
"Oh, you are so it K*!." yelled April.The girl grinned and jumped up to a large tree and started climbing up its branches, before looking down at April who was pouting right up at her with arms crossed.
"Hey, you know that I can not climb a big tree and being afraid of heights!. You are mean!." responded April.
The girl looked down and said, "Oh, keep your panties in your pants. I'm coming back down. Geez, lighten up will ya...rookie."
"Huh?!" April got up from her bed in shock, said.
She breathed heavily with a deep scare within herself. She looked see that she was inside her temperaly room and feel herself calming down from her shock. April looked and see that it is nighttime. Managing to relax back in her bed, April can not explain what she just dreamed up and can not say if it either was a dream or reality.
"What the heck did I just dreamed up?. Did go ate or drink something sweet before going to bed?." April questioning herself.
Feeling comfortable on falling back to sleep, April closed her eyes and managed to sleep peacefully throughout the night before starting her mission. But her mind was still wondering why her mind was showing her these things to her and can not recall these events. As the old day became the new day when the fresh sun begin to rise and started shining brightly, in which woke bothered April who was on the floor meditating for a few minutes. Something that Karai have taught her when being trained under the arts of ninja. With the quickness she headed out of the hotel all dressed and clean both ready and determine to get the job finish. She looked around to find a way to reach Coney Island the fastest and had to settle for one of the hotels customer's cars. With snarkiness she walked over and grabbed the keys that the bell boy just sat on the rack, and jump right into the roof down car.
"Hey, what are you doing to my car?." asked a elderly man.
April begin turning the engine on and begin moving after putting it in drive and said, "Oh, I'm just going to borrow it and bring it right back, sir."
April punched the gas and zoomed out of there while ignoring the call from the bell boy and the customer. Driving quick and not wasting time for nothing she hunk a few times to rush the slow drivers, before driving over the speed limit to reach the road heading for Coney Island. Feeling like nothing was ever going to stop her from reaching the island, April can hear sirens going off behind her before looking at her mirror and sighed. There she saw a police car running hard on her bumper and cussed like a girl sailor.
"Crap. Not now." said April, when pulling over to the curve.
The cops did the same before approaching April who put on a fake pretend smile and already prepared on what to say.
"Oh, good morning officers of the law. Fine day to go have fun on Coney Island, huh?." said April.
The two female cops who were already playing with April when begin speaking to her as if nothing was wrong.
"Oh, yes, it is indeed." spoke the blond hair officer.
"Yeah, an especially when you driving a very nice expensive red Nissan 350Z sports car. Man, and it looks brand new too." added the other female officer with ginger red hair.
April nodded and said with fast thinking, "Well, my family is very waealty and so they were able to purchase this Nissan. Tax paided as well."
"Oh, then that case can you give us your family's name?. We are fans for rich people." said the blond officer with a slight smile.
April panic on that question before figuring out a good worthy name.
"Um, my family's last names are Windsor. As in the royal british family Windsor."
At that very instant the cops changed their face expression to disappointment and looked at April in such seriousness. One of them reached April's personal space with a deadly look on her straight face.
"Alright, you have better tell us on where you get this car and that outfit. Cause that too look like it came from an expensive store." the cop said.
April nodded in agreement and said, "Okay, girls I will tell ya everything. Yeah, I stole them."
April looked at the ginger head woman. "I stole this car from your husband when he was screwing his assistant behind your back."
Next, April looked at the blonde. "And I stole this outfit from your jobless daddy."
One thing lead to another, April found herself having her head roughly laying down on the hood with the cops searching through her outfit. Knowing that time was up the essence as their is no telling on what exact clock time of 2006 Tigerclaw will show up, and have to figure out a way to speed things up with the quickness.
"Is this really necessary girls?." April asked, before seeing her gun being presented to her.
"Does this answer your question?." asked the blond.
"Hey, this is her jobless daddy's outfit here." responded April.
"What is this?." said a curious ginger head cop, when looking at the stick-like figure in her hand.
"I bet those are drugs." answer the blond cop.
April instantly grabbed her shades and put them on with great delight of her situation. "It is not drugs. But, I warn you two to not look at the red lightbulb and press the only flat smooth print, that is located in the back that says Press and Hold above the finger print."
"Try it." motioned the blond cop.

April smirked at hearing that nose when getting up off the car and turn to grab her things from the stun cops, while placing them back on they properly belong before speaking her mind.
"And that my friends is called the instant nerualizer in which you will never see again in this timeframe. Oh, and also;" April's face begin to morph into anger. "Just because someone rides a nice expensive car does not mean it is stolen!. Stop jumping to fast freaking conclusions!. Even though I did steal this car but, not because out of crime."
After this she speed walked back into the car and went to starting the engine just before telling the cops who were still stun and lost, to inform them that she will return the car after she is finished doing what she is doing. That was before she hit the gas and zoomed on down to reach the island. Coney Island was celebrating the early fourth with american decorations and letting the workers and customers to dress either people from the 1777's or wear something that represents independence day, and letting them take pictures and play free games. One them who is driving an all matching Hulkamania motorcycle and outfit was Tigerclaw (2006), who was making his way through a bunch of croweds before taking a moment to stop and letting the people in front to get where they needed to go. He stopped right beside an interracial couple of a black man and white girl both wearing matching Uncle Sam outfit.
"Yo, dude that is one awesome ride." said the black man, making the attempt to touch the front.
Tigerclaw looked at the man in utter seriousness. "If you want to keep that arm then I suggest you do not touch my motorcycle."
The the cute beautiful blond white girl laughed and said nicely. "Hey, it is independence week. Make peace and not war."
Tigerclaw shrugged. "Ironically that is how this country gain its independence. Only except that it is the other way around."
"Yeah, that is true!." came the black man, before he and his wife started to chuckle.
Tigerclaw (2006) looked at the two through his hulkamania sunglasses for a short few seconds before joining them. Except that his laughing was more evil than friendly in which in return made the married couple stop laughing, and feel extremely uncomfortable when watching Tigerclaw (2006) drive off and out of sight. Meanwhile April quickly parked crazily in the front parking lot and hurrying out of the car to find Roman the fabulous, before it was too late. It did not take long for April to find where Romans act stand is located thanks to aid of Coney Islands map. The only problem was that Roman the fabulous was not at his post and it made the redhead both worry and concern.
"Crap. Now what?." April asked herself, while looking around to hope find him either playing a few games or taking a lunch break.
Of course this is not the case as Roman the fabulous was somewhere in the back with a cigar in mouth while trying to light a match, when being integrated by the mutant tiger who was furious with his impatience. Tigerclaw (2006) had forcely pulled the huge headed alien out from his post and demanded to know where the device is but, Roman can only do was talk about not getting it while still trying to light his match.
"My patience is growing deadly thin." Tigerclaw (2006) spoke in rage. "Where is the device?."
Roman quickly dropped his match pack before removing the brown cigar. "You are already too late. I already given it to him. The Archanan is and will give the advice to NIB and end the invasion with no issues. I sure hope that the Boglodites paided you up front, and not pay you when the job is done."
Tigerclaw (2006) growled before removing Romans fortunate telling hat and reveal his huge alien head, before pulling and pointing his blast gun right at his head. "I hope you are ready to meet Jesus today." he said and pulled the trigger.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!." screamed a woman who was riding the ferrieswheel and happened to see the murder.
Her scream echoed throughout the island as it caught April's ears and instantly ran to follow the cause of the ruckess. April pulled out her gun and scanned the area with great seriousness before approaching the now dead Roman the fabulous. Lowing her gun down she took a look at the dead alien sighing sadly on not making it in time to prevent this, April was getting ready to think up her next move until hearing nose of someone jumping from somewhere. April lifted her gun and pointed at the shadow object that was jumping to run away from the murder scene, and was this closet to being shot down as April is ready to pull the trigger.
"I got your ass now." April said before shooting.
"Hold it right there!." came a child voice.
April lost her target when being distracted by this kid and sighed heavily at that before turning around to see a girl who looked around eight or nine wearing a black and purple bodysuit outfit with yellow tiger stripes on her waist. And also had on a witch hat on her head that matched her outfit. She looked determine to bring April in as she slowly approached the tall girl with the gun pointing at her head.
"Do not make a dumb move." she warned.
April put her gun down while the other hand was pulling out a throw knife from her back.
"I won't." April said, throwing the pointed sharped tool right at the front tip of the gun.
Thus, causing the gun to blow multicolor sparks and burning heat that made the girl immediately drop her gun, and quickly got kicked to the ground due to leaving her eyes off of April. April lean down to look at the girl and sly smirk at her when putting her gun up.
"My ninja advice for you is to not leave your eyes from your target or suspect. That way you do not give them the opportunity to play sneaky." said April.
Suddenly she heard a gun being loaded behind her and felt the thing touching the back of her head. April stood still in shock as to who is behind her and hoped this person want shoot first, and then ask questions later.
"And my ninja advice is to always look at your entire surroundings. So that way no one or thing will point a gun on you." said a familiar but child voice.
April slowly looked back to see in shock. There standing in front of her is a small but cute little eight year old having a serious look on her face, while wearing the exact same outfit that April knows all too well let alone the same makeup minus the lipstick.
"K..Karai?." April turned all the way around and feel her heart beat in happiness to see her best friend. "Karai!. Karai, I.;"
With no warning the young Karai quickly pulled out her pepper spray and spray the hell out of April's eyes, before getting the chance to side kicked her behind the neck. April yelled in pain when feeling the burning sting hitting her eyes while trying to see her surroundings but, can not ignore the deep agony of her suffering.
"Girl, what the hell K.;" April got stopped when feeling a volts of electricity going through her neck all thanks to Karai's taser gun. And everything went dark.
"Good work Karai." said the other girl, getting back to her feet.
"Yeah, I know. Now, we got ourselves an eyewitness." said Karai (2006), looking down at unconscious April. "Did she said my name a few seconds ago, Shinigamai?."
The girl who is Shinigamai nodded and said, "Yeah, that is weird. Have you met her somewhere, Karai?."
Karai looked at April with wonder and curiosity. "No, but we will know what she knows. Come and help me get into the car."
