The BAU team arrived at the 21st district to meet up with Intelligence, JJ was trying to hold back her fears and emotions. She didn't wanna lose her daughter but sadly she would. As soon as the truth would come out Jordan wouldn't be hers and Will's daughter no more. She would be returned to her biological parents.
Antonio had met them as they entered. "Hey I'm Detective Dawson. Welcome to District 21"
"Hi, I'm Agent Jareau, you can call me JJ. This is my team Agents Prentiss, Morgan, Rossi, and Dr. Reid. Agent Hotchner remained in DC to work the case there and help out another agent working on another lead" JJ said with a fake smile.
"It's nice to meet you all please follow me upstairs, a fair warning this has my boss a tad riled up so please excuse him if he comes off harsh"
"We completely understand, the other agent in DC has gotten riled up as well"
Antonio had escorted the agents upstairs to the squad. The tension in the squad was so thick you could cut it with a hot knife. Hank was livid by the case; it was reminding him what happened to his daughter just 12 years prior. He knew if he couldn't keep his temper under control he'd be taken off the case.
When he got word the FBI was brought in he knew he'd end up seeing Anna at some point after 12 long years. This could potentially lead them to their daughter, neither had given up hope or faith. All they knew was dead lead after dead lead. With this case this was the first strong possible lead they had that could lead them to their daughter.
Coming up the steps was Antonio and the agents, the others were getting all the information on the case and taping it to the white board. The board had pictures of different babies all newborn and all disappeared right after they were born. Hank taped his daughter's picture up there, the only picture he had.
JJ's blue eyes laid eyes on Jordan's baby picture. Anna mentioned Hank Voight as being Jordan's father, and this was him. She would be working alongside her daughter's father and she'd have to lie and hide this from him until the end. She'd rather tell him in private than in front of everyone. It wasn't their business.
With a straight face she went over to him. "Sergeant Voight, hi. I'm Agent Jareau. Please call me JJ and this is my team. Where should we set up?"
"In here" He escorted them to the lounge. "Sorry if it's small. We don't have a lot of room here"
"It's just fine, Sergeant," Rossi told the older man.
"It is, thank you" Emily nodded.
Hank nodded and let them set up their gear. Spencer looked at the blonde agent as she was unpacking slowly, she had looked completely zoned out. Lost in her own world.
"JJ, you alright?" Spencer asked.
She was snapped out of thought hearing her friend. "Yeah. Yeah I'm fine. This case got me thinking about the kids"
"They're with Will. They'll be perfectly safe" Derek assured her.
"Morgan's right. For now let's focus on the case" Emily said.
"Let's get out there and work on it," Rossi told them.
Everyone but JJ left the room and she looked at a photo of her two children. Tears burned heavily in her crystal blue orbs. "I love you Jordan, I love you Henry. I love you both so much"
Emily peeked in. "JJ, you coming?"
"Yeah. I'll be right there" She wiped her eyes.
"Hey what's going on?"
"It's nothing. Let's go get started"
The blonde rushed out past her friend and to the squad, Emily was surprised to see her friend bolt out the way she did. Something was wrong with her and it started ever since they were assigned to the case. This was going to be one long case. They just hoped it would come out with a positive outcome.
