Hey readers! I am writing this right before and on a red-eye flight, probably a bad idea, but I don't sleep well on planes anyway. I'm so glad you guys are enjoying my story so far! I am also so grateful for all the support and appreciation, thank you all so much! I hope you guys enjoy chapter 4.
"Alice?" I stammered. There were to many emotions going through my mind right then. Happiness, confusion, sadness, anger. I just stood there staring at her for a few seconds, before she ran over to me and gave me a hug.
"Oh, Bella we were so worried!" She whisper-yelled. She suddenly let me go at looked into my face, her face was fully of confusion.
"Alice, what are you doing here?" I asked her, hurt underlined my voice. I had missed her, but it wasn't just Edward who had left me, all the other Cullens left me too. I suddenly remembered the peace treaty. I was about to tell her that she had to go, but she said something before I could tell her to leave.
"Well, your future disappeared and I got worried, so I came to find you. Edward told me not to, but he doesn't control what I do." She told me, she sounded excited. I had to tell her to leave.
"Alice, you ca..." I was interrupted by another loud howl come from the woods, they were coming. "You have to leave now! The wolf's are coming!" I yelled in her face. Her eyes were suddenly wide with fear.
"Oh no, I forgot..." She whispered.
"How could you forget something as important as that?!" I asked her. I knew could see the future, why didn't she see the wolf's? And how do you forget something as important as a peace treaty?
"Well, I can't see werewolfs, but I can't believe I didn't think about the treaty." Suddenly a heard a growl coming from outside. Outside I saw a grey furred wolf with black spots. 'That must be Embry.' I thought to myself, I knew that Alice crossing the border, was a very bad thing. I knew it was too late to get her out, so I walked outside and over to the grey furred wolf with black spots. It turned it's face to me, a lot of anger on its face. The wolf kept growling at the door, as Alice came out.
"It's ok, calm down." I told the wolf, it didn't move an inch. But the growling grew louder. Alice slowly walked outside and started walking over to me. The wolf snarled and rushed toward her.
"NO, ALICE!" I shouted, I ran over to her and stood protectively over her. The wolf made a face at me and started snapping around me. Then I saw a russet brown wolf run out of the woods, looking livid. I knew it was Jacob, I knew that I was in big trouble. Alice was still standing behind me, silent. Jacob came and stood next to Embry, they both growled and snapped, but I stayed where I was. I couldn't let them kill her. The russet wolf stared at me, a mix of anger and sadness in his eyes.
"Jacob and Embry, move now." I said in a calm, but demanding voice, they stayed where they were. I saw a sandy colored wolf waiting at the edge of the forest, ready to strike. Seth. I didn't know what to do, but the choice was made for me. Jacob came over to me and gently pushed me out of the way, I couldn't help but move, he was a huge wolf and was very strong.
"NO!" I shouted, but there was nothing I could do. The wolfs closed in on Alice, circling her, she looked terrified. I broke down crying, I knew that it wouldn't change anything, but I still did. The russet wolf looked up at me for a second, with a look of pain on its face. But before the wolfs attacked the rest of the Cullens appeared behind Alice. I was shocked, sadness and pain ran through me, I couldn't help it. Edward was there with them, looking at me. I couldn't look at him, I just stayed on the ground. Then just like the Cullens had appeared, the rest of the wolf all came rushing in from the woods. There was nothing I could do.
"Jacob, I'm sorry we are on your land, it won't happen again." Carlisle said. The wolfs all snarled. Then Edward spoke, when I hear his voice it sent waves of pain through me, I was so mad at him, he had hurt me so much.
"He wants to know why we are her." Edward said calmly, translating for Jacob. Reading his mind and saying whatever Jacob and the others thought. I was the only one who's thoughts Edward couldn't read, we didn't know why. But right now, I didn't want to know. I didn't care.
"We came to make sure Alice left your land right away, she came to see if Bella was ok." Carlisle answered calmly. The wolfs still looked pissed, but nodded.
"He says that if it even happens again they will attack, but they will let it pass this time." Edward said though his teeth. I looked up to see what was happening, I saw Edward staring at me, all the other wolfs and Cullens were staring at each other. I could see the regret in his eyes, but I didn't care. I didnt want to see him, especially right now. Suddenly the pain came back again, the same pain as this morning. But it was a little stronger, I screamed and fell all the way to the ground.
"Bella?" Edward and Carlisle said at the same time. I couldn't focus on them all I felt was pain, my spine felt like it was on fire, I noticed that it wasn't, just pain it was heat too. I screamed again as all the wolfs rushed over to me, forming a protective circle around me. I then felt soft fur next to me and managed to look up through the pain, I saw the russet wolf standing next to me. He kept looking between me and the Cullens. The pain then swept all threw my body followed by scolding heat. I screamed again and tried to reach for the russet wolfs fur. It turned it's face to me and nudged me with it's nose, before looking up again. I felt the relief spread through me as Jacob nudged me with his big wolf nose. It didn't last long though.
"What if happening?!" Edward yelled, he sounded pained, he started to walk towards me, but the wolf snarled and snapped at him. I noticed Jacob look anxiously look at me and then he ran into the woods. He returned moments later with just a pair of shorts on. He rushed over to me and held my hand.
"What did you do!?" Jacob yelled at them.
"Nothing, what did you do!?" Edward yelled back. I noticed that the pain was numbing and I looked up at Jacob, he was staring at Edward. I gripped his hand harder and got up. He looked at me, I could see pain and worry in his face, but still lots of anger, because of the Cullens.
"Edward, stop blaming Jake!" I yelled as loud as I could, I still felt weak, but I managed it. Edward looked at me confused and then he had anger in his eyes.
"You, YOU!" Edward was struggling to get the words out.
"YOU IMPRINTED ON HER!?" Edward roared I flinched and leaned into Jacob.
"What's it to you?" Jacob asked, before rapping his other arm around me. The wolfs were still around us, but were starting to loosen their formation. The rest of the Cullens just looked shocked. Edward still looked furious.
"Bella, please come here." He pleaded looking at me with pain in his eyes.
"No! Why did you guys come back?" I yelled at him. He looked sad.
"Because of you. I love you Bella, I should never have left you." He said pleadingly. The wolfs around us snarled.
"That is no excuse! I love Jake and you have to deal with that now! You lefted, that's your fault!" I screamed in his direction.
"I suggest you guys leave, before we attack." Jacob said through his teeth.
"I agree, Edward we will discuss this later." Carlisle said calmly turning toward Forks. Edward still had a look of pain, anger and sadness on his face. I felt kinda bad, but what he did was inexcusable.
"Edward, please just leave." I said quietly, he looked at me again, before walking back with his family. Jacob turned back to me and gave me a hug.
"Bella what were you thinking!?" He asked me angrily, I knew he was trying not to scare me. The other wolfs ran back into the woods and came back over to me and Jacob in their human forms.
"That the heck just happened?" Sam asked angrily.
"Bella, what did just happen?" Jacob asked a little calmer this time.
"Are you ok? Was that the same pain as this morning or did they do something to you?" Jacob asked me, worry clear in his voice. I knew everyone was staring at us, I looked up at all at them and then back to Jacob.
"Alice, came over and startled me in the kitchen, then you guys and the rest of the Cullens showed up." I said, I knew that I had only answered half of his questions.
"I don't know, the pain was worse this time, it wasn't just pain it felt like heat all through out my body." I said in a small voice. Everyone was suddenly looking at Jacob.
"I will ask Billy later today." Jacob said, he had a hard look on his face.
"I can't believe the Cullens are back." Leah said, a sound of disgust in her voice.
"I know, we will have to talk about the treaty again with them. Right now, Leah, Seth and Quil please go run patrol." Jacob said.
Leah, Seth and Quil all went into the woods. Same and Embry were both talking about the Cullens and Jacob helped me back inside.
It was true,
The Cullens were back.
