"Someone Talking"

'Someone Thinking'

We start off from where we left last time with the team having met up with Dante's rival Montehue and his sidekick Tersley, and with them they arrived at the temple that housed the Hammer of Thor.

With their guide having left them to their own devices, Dante turned to the team, and said, "form a defensive perimeter."

The others did as told and they made a pentagram around Dante's position, with Dante then pulled out his Holotome with Lok hearing him say, "Holotome, build a map of the temple based on what we can see."

"Scanning."

"Here's the situation there are two ways out," Dante said as they quickly converged on his position while looking at the holotome, if they attack we break through here, Lok and Sophie cover our backs."

"I'd rather improvise."

"Apparently we overestimated your intelligence Dante Vale, this temple is controlled by the organization, and you have just walked into your tomb," the voice came from a bald suit that seemed to be the one in charge of this group.

'Well looks like Zhalia's information was correct as usual,' Lok thought as the team all got into their fighting stances.

"Surrender now and you may be shown mercy, if you don't you won't live to regret it," arrogance could be heard in the suits tone.

"What do you think, surrender?" Dante asked Montehue who merely shrugged before saying.

"Yeah, sure, oh wait got a museum lecture on Thursday I can't."

"Ah too bad, then we fight." With that Dante and Montehue who had pulled out his battle axes charged at the enemy startling the opponents, with the Bald organization ordering the temple guardians.

"Guardians of Thor attack!"

"This is why i enjoy the life of a seeker, let's do it Gawain." Lok said while at the same time pulling out his very first titan's amulet.

"Defend us Sabriel."

Dante sent one of the temple guardians flying while Montehue charged at the obvious leader of the group, with the bald leader quickly pulling out a Litho-Titan amulet in defense and shouted, "Freeze them, Jokoul"

The Titan summoned was a rather demonic looking Titan that seemed to fight similarly to the Titan Redcap just do to the two having sharp claws, but Lok supposed he could be wrong considering this was just a basic analysis on it.

"Freeze me? Oh no I'm just warming up!"

Suddenly as everyone was fighting Lok saw some of the guardians charged towards a scared Tersley luckily Zhalia quickly defended him but let out a barbed comment, "I thought all Foundation agents were supposed to be brave. Touchram!"

She finished blasting the two guardians back, and Lok couldn't help but say. "We fought them off long enough let's go."

Lok noticed that Dante and Montehue were fighting close to one another with Montehue beginning to speak, "it's nice for us to fight side by side Dante, but we're still in competition. I'm bringing Mjolnir back and don't you forget it."

"Oh I won't, but our friends come first."

Suddenly as Zhalia was busy dealing with some other members of the group one had gotten past her and had cornered Tersely into a pillar and then shelter door slamming his head into Tersely's gut, "Thundercut."

"Tersley!" Montehue shouted in rage at the attack on his assistant. "Dragonfist!"

Montehue charged at the guardian who held Tersley by his neck in the air, and with dragonfist Monethue had sent the enemy flying into the pillar behind him and causing the said pillar to shatter from the force, which unfortunately started to cause a cave in. Great.

Dante shouted, "everyone out!"

Lok looked behind them and saw Tersley was unconscious on the ground, Lok tried to get to him but unfortunately was stopped by the cave in luckily Monethue was able to get to Tersley and ta used him over to Dante, Zhalia, and Sophie who exited through one of the passages, but as Lok and Monethue were making their way to the same passageway that the others had used, above the entrance rubble rained down and blocked it off. This caused the two to have to use a different passageway and hopefully they would reunite with the group later on in the mission.

After getting up Montehue began speaking, "there no that wasn't so bad was it?

Lok smiled while saying, "I love a cave in once in a while, how about you?"

"Life and death situations are good for the heart," Montahue said while brushing off dust from his jacket.

Suddenly Lok began noticing something where was Cherit?

Thankfully, he was still in his backpack, safe and sound.

"With everyone safe right now, Montehue put on a serious face and began talking, we're running short on time."

"We'll have to get to the other somehow."

"We'll find them later after I lay claim to Mjolnir," and with that they began going down the passage they had entered, this time Montehue took the lead, soon ahead of them they saw light and ran for it.

"This way, I see a light," Montehue ordered.

When they entered they found that they were in a large room with different entrances and exits, to make matters worse they begin hearing voices behind them. So they went through one of the passages and down a flight of stairs to hide.

The organization is sure not making this easy. There's not many ways to get out.

Don't worry, lad, will find the way out seeker will always find away

Right," Lok said half heartedly then he began thinking of a question he wanted to ask Montehue, " how did you meet Dante?

"I'm a devout student of the history of war , I spent my youth collecting its artifacts and while exploring a hidden ruin in death valley. I encountered your mentor Dante Vale. From the moment I laid eyes on him two things were clear. He was a great man, but I was determined to be better. We were both searching for the same artifact, and as we raced up a mountain, I had no idea Dante had given me an amulet I suppose that Was his idea of keeping things fair and square. True to my nature it wasn't long before I found myself in a very precarious position and right when I thought all hope was lost. Dante came to my rescue and though he had taken my victory from me, he gave me something else far more precious. Once my hand touched that amulet my life changed. The rascal opened my eyes to the world of Titans and I've been a seeker ever since in more ways than one I owe him my life the one I almost lost and the one I live now." Montehue said as he finished his story about his youth.

"If you like him so much, you two should work together…" lok began before he had been cut off by Montehue.

"Never, we become friends through good clean competition, the scales are even now. I'll be the one to find the price this time," soon they heard that the coast was clear, "the dangers passed let's go."

With that Montehue and Lok raced to one of the passageways. Pretty soon they found their way to a room full of statues, with the statue in the center of the room, having what seemed to be a rope tied around it's base.

"Haven't seen hide nor hair of the followers of Thor, they must be scared to follow us, which means this is a restricted area," Montehue said.

"Which means we're near the hammer Mjolnir," Lok said before the familiar voice of Sophie came from nearby, causing the two to turn in that direction. Judging from the raised voices they appeared to be in trouble.

With that, they quickly ran in the direction and found Dante trying to catch his breath before he said, "that won't hold for long."

Montehue couldn't help but ask, "hold what."

At Montehue's voice, the group seemed ready to attack, but calmed down once they saw Lok, Cherit, and Montehue run in to the room.

Lok couldn't help but it say, " I thought you were in trouble."

"You were right it's just outside the door," Tersley said scared, while pointing at the door the others had just closed.

Lok couldn't hide his confusion but I asked, "what is it ?"

"In the ancient legends of the Norse gods there is a tale of Thor and the mighty dog," Tersley said.

At the confused faces Sophie proceeded to elaborate, "the dog is Fenris, didn't Thor tie it up with a magic rope."

Tersley answered, "Gleipnir it's the rope that can't be broken."

To this, the door that Dante's group had just secured, shook with significant force, suggesting something was trying to get in where they were, "our survival depends on finding it."

"No need to fear if anyone can find it, Tersley and I can, and I'd wager faster than you," Montehue said while patting Tersley on the back which caused the smaller man to stagger slightly.

"We'll see," Dante said no doubt used to Montehue's boasting, and with that Montehue and Tersley ran off to try to find Gleipnir.

"I suspect that Gleipnir must be in a hidden room," Dante said seriously, and then Lok remembered that in the room he had just been in there had been a rope.

"I think I know where the rope is. Follow me," with that Lok led them to the room that had the statues and showed them the pedestal with the rope tied around it, "is that the rope we were looking for?"

"I'm sensing a strong magical aura. This is definitely the rope of Gleipnir," Sophie said with her hand raised at the rope, while at the same time Zhalia was trying to untangle it. At that moment they heard what sounded like a door being smashed open

"It's broken through," Dante said

"This knot is not going to be untied anytime soon," Zhalia said still having trouble untangling the rope.

Lok then got an idea and pulled out Springers amulet, "I think I've got an idea. We need a master of tricks and traps. Springer undo that rope!"

With that the raccoon like titan came out and began working on it. While this was happening Sophie and Dante moved to stand in front of the passage way that the titan would come down.

"We have to make our stand here," Dante said with Sophie nodding.

Thankfully Springer was making great progress on the rope, and soon Lok and Zhalia were able to finish untangling the rope. This happened just as the titan came barreling in with everyone scattering to get out of its way. And thanks to being the one that was holding Gleipnir, that appeared to be drawing the titans attention to Lok. Great.

Just then Dante shouted, "Lok the rope!"

Getting the idea he tossed it over with Dante catching it, and with the rope still tied partially around the base they could hopefully defeat the wolf titan.

Dante said challengingly, "I'm sending you to the pound, on a leash."

With that the titan charged but thankfully Dante roped it around the neck, while Cherit began taunting it over head. While Zhalia maneuvered behind it to get the other end of the rope and soon the two were able to bind the titan. Afterwards they began restraining the beastly titan, with Dante ordering, tighten the rope, pull as hard as you can

With that Dante and Lok got on one side of the rope and pulled while the girls did the same on the other side squeezing the struggling beast.

"I'm a seeeker not a dog catcher," Zhalia said snarky.

"We sure could use Montehue's strength right now," Lok couldn't help but say as the group continued to try and tighten the ropes around their enemy.

"Give it all you got, heave!"

Soon the titan began glowing purple and with one last roar exploded, and in the remains laid its amulet.

Sophie cheered excitedly, "yes we did it."

While everyone else was catching their breath and soon they went to retrieve the amulet, no sense to leave it for the organization.

"Fenris was guarding the chamber with the stone snake, that is our next challenge," Dante said seriously and soon we focused on the door.

"If the stone snake acts like a lock maybe it needs to take a certain shape," Lok said while tracing the snake with his hands. Soon after Montehue and Tersley came running in.

"Dante, I guess you haven't met your doom."

"Not yet, and you haven't met yours," Dante said cheekily.

"Well, it might be right around the corner," he pointed and we saw the approaching group of guardians of Thor

"Leading that MOB here was a good idea why," Zhalia question?

"Lok, Sophie get this door open," Dante ordered, "everyone else keep them trapped in the hall. Touchram."

The spell proceeded to blast a couple of their opponents back, while Zhalia called forth Gareon, and soon the seeker and Titan began firing away at their opponents.

As this was happening Montehue was pushing over one of the pillars to hinder our opponents, "that won't hold them back long, even though they're only a strong as a litter of kittens."

"Give him a hand, Caliban. Quick help him," with that Montehue and Dante's titan began pushing the fallen pillar in front of the doorway. Me and Sophie were still trying to figure out how to get the door open as this was happening.

"They're going to break through any minute!"

Great no pressure or anything, just then Lok noticed the head and tail of the snake and pointed it out to Tersley, Sophie and Cherit.

At this Sophie suddenly seemed to realized something, " wait there's something like this in Norse mythology."

Tersley seemed to catch on, "that's it, it's the snake ouroboros."

"The infinity serpent in Norse legend it's a serpent in the shape of a figure eight for infinity," with that the quartet quickly began shaping the serpent into the shape and just in time to as the barricade was blasted sending Montehue and caliban flying back.

Thankfully, we were able to open the door and with that, we rushed in with the others following us and charity, closing the door after he entered, cutting off the organization from us.

The room we now entered, had floating stones held aloft by electricity and in the center of the room stood a massive stone pillar, and on top of it, sat the hammer of Thor.

"There she is," Montehue said before turning to Dante and gave a challenging grin, " may the best man win."

With that to the two began rapidly climbing the floating stones each trying to get to the top first, and while it seemed like Dante would get there first. Montehue grabbed his leg to sabotage his jump.

Sophie seemed shocked at the fact that Montehue cheated, before Zhalia said, "he's just doing what he has to do to get to the prize."

Soon Montehue made it to the top and raised the hammer from the ground causing a pillar to lower him back to ground level. Lok couldn't help but smile at the fact that they had gotten the hammer, then Montehue had some trouble holding the hammer.

"What's wrong?"

"Suddenly it's ten times the weight it should be," Montehue said.

"We have to move," Dante said, in soon we were going through a passage way that we found that hopefully led to the exit of the place.

"There should be an exit just through this cavern ahead," Dante said before smiling as he saw a couple of the guardians of Thor in front of them, well what do we have here looks like my luck is changing for the better."

The lead organization member then declared, "there's no escape. The doors blocked with a 10 foot slab of stone. You can't outrun my minions with the weight of the hammer Mjolnir. And I believe Ymir is still angry after his last encounter with you."

Cause right behind them thundered forward the massive icy golem like titan. However, even with those odds against us, Montehue said, "I won't give up my prize to the organization."

"You won that in competition, but friends become better friends by working together," Lok said trying to get the two to work together, thankfully it seemed to work.

"Alright then, what did you have in mind," Dante said as Ymir advanced towards them.

"I'll distract Ymir then maybe use the hammer together to defeat the monstrous titan."

"Teamwork again well if I have to."

"Go."

Soon enough Lok was able to get the titans attention, with some help from Zhalia's Strix titans, and Zhalia, Sophie, Tersley, and Montehue's Tolivane dealt with the guardians of Thor. Just before Lok was about to get crushed by the ice giant's fist Lok called, "Kipperin!"

With Kipperin he evaded the incoming fist, and began flying around the massive titans head, confusing it.

As this was happening Dante and Montehue began doing their part in the plan and together they began spinning the hammer to build up enough force behind it and aimed it at Ymir, while Lok who had been behind the titan swiftly got out of dodge. As the hammer was unleashed, destroying not only Ymir but also jokoul and sending the guardians of Thor flying into unconsciousness. The hammer also blasted an opening for the group to get out of the place.

After they exited the temple it was easy to find where the hammer had landed, now it was time to decide who brought it home.

Dante turned to Montehue, " you got to it first Montehue, take the hammer back to the foundation."

"No this prize was won by all of us and we only escaped with it because of Lok's quick thinking. I think you should present it to the Huntik foundation, Lok."

With that Lok struggled to lift the hammer, their mission a success. However before they left Dante had something for Montehue, "hey Montehue we couldn't have done it without you. I want you to have this."

Dante said as he tossed the rather familiar amulet over to Montehue, who caught it while looking at it.

"A Titan bonds most easily with a seeker close in spirit to its original user and the closest to the spirit of Thor is you."

With that the group began heading home.
