Chapter 8: Conversations, Heat, and Ron's Outburst: A Ripple Effect
I woke up to someone having a conversation beside me. I open my eyes.still groggy with sleep though, I no longer needed glasses in the morning I wasn't always able to focus right away, but I could tell it was my mates by their scent.
as I remember yesterday's events and how Lucius said accepted me and already cared for me though not love yet an how I have a second mate, that apparently he accepts me and has always thought I have been attractive, though I don't exactly believe him yet. my eyes snapped open, and I looked at my mates not without a little bit of fear, as I sucked in a breath, drawing the attention of my mates.
I stared at them a little apprehensively. I don't really believe either of them, but at the moment if I had to choose who I believed more, it would be Lucius.
"We care for you deeply and are committed to this bond, though it's not love just yet as we don't really know you yet other than our observations; it's more than just fulfilling our duties as mates." Surprisingly it was blaze who spoke up. I relax slightly, but Lucius hadn't said anything yet, so I was still a little tense.
Lucius looked at me with realization as to why I hadn't fully believed him yet "yes I agree with everything blaze just said I'm sorry if what I said earlier came off to you as me just fulfilling my job as one of your dominant mates"I relaxed fully.
They were both sitting on the bed with me so I moved around until I was snuggled comfortably into their laps, purring contentedly.
As blaze had connections to the Fae world, he understood why I was acting like this and why most submissive Fae act like this, though he didn't know everything about them. He probably knew about 70% of it he was actually part fae but the only thing that did was give him a mate, and he had a little more magical power than a normal Witch or wizard. Lucious, though as a normal wizard had no connections to the fae an only knew the bare bit of information about them that wizards have been able to get a hold of.
And blaze at seeing his startled expression explained "submissive fae, instantly love their mate the moment they know who it is so as soon as they know, we accept them they 100% at ease with us they won't try to hide anything from us basically their number one an will choose us over anyone The only exception to that is their children. We could abuse them and he would still love us. The only thing that could drive them away or make them stand up to us is hurting their children. some can stand up certain things if they have a strong will and give their argument, but even if you don't cave still stay with us though they could come up with creative ways to punish us. Like making us sleep on the couch or kicking us out during their heat oh, and you should probably know that they can turn into absolutely any animal. They want no matter if it's made up or real, and that we can create impenetrable shields, but only if we need to protect ourselves, any children we have or our mates though if you have actual fae in you like me, you can create them whenever you want. last thing When he goes on heat next, their is a 70% chance he will be pregnant. If we do it there's no avoiding it because if we leave he'll search for us and if he can't leave the room or find us, he'll start to hurt himself bad me too since I have fae in me. He can't take anything or do anything to stop from getting pregnant either because it's terribly bad for his health." He said
"that's all I think you need to know for now that I can think of oh and they go on heat once a month and a weeklong I hope you can last I have no problems since I am part fae but I don't know about you" blaze winked as he said this.
as blaze teased Lucius I cast a Wandless and wordless Tempus and realized it was 11 PM at night.
I snuggled more into them intent on going to sleep.
Blaze looked at Harry with a slight smile as he noticed, he had fallen asleep.
They had started talking about how there friends and family would react to the news when he fell asleep. Blaze noticed that Lucius also had a slight smile and continue talking.
"as I was saying since me and my family are part fae they will have no problem with it. And that I really only hang out with Daphne Greengrass. Theodore Nott and that they won't be a problem every once in a while Daphne's sister tags along, not friends, though she'll probably be a problem though, and I know you have a marriage contract set up between her and your son Draco so if you want to get Draco to listen and give this a chance, and he probably will react badly. You'll probably have to break that contract, I doubt he'll listen to reason, but they are dating so if he really wants to marry her, he could always ask her and you can disinherit him if he doesn't listen to reason." I say
Lucius sighed "I won't break the contract because if I do disinherit him, he'll never get her to marry him. But anyways, if he does end up reacting badly, I'll give him a month to get his behavior in check. The only people I'm really friends with is Severus and aurora. They are a couple. That's how I know her anyways she'll probably accept it. Severance will probably just stop talking to me and knowing Aurora if she can't knock some sense into him, she'll dump him." he said
The night continued on like that we talked about our relationships with people we knew and we decided that the relationships we had would mostly survived except for Severus and most likely Draco. And for Harry, the relationships that wouldn't survive for him would be Molly, Arthur, Charlie, Percy, and Ron Weasley that wouldn't survive the Molly and Ron would probably be the only ones to make a scene or do anything.
I cast a Tempest and realized we talked through the night and it's about four in the morning. I was about to tell Lucius that when I realized Harry woke up. And he was really hot like he had a fever and his eyes were dilated.
"Lucius, Harry has just started his heat" I stated.
As I started to wake up my eyes dilated, and I felt feverish and had an intense need for my mates.
as blaze stated that I started my heat I let out a needy whine. That singled the start of my heat.
*1 week later*
"that was amazing" I say
my mates hummed in agreement
blaze was the closest to me so I snuggled into him as I did that Lucius told us how he was going to talk to the deputy had mistress about arranging a room for the three of them and making an announcement that they were my mates. He also said we should get ready for class.
"can we just come with you so McGonagall can excuse us for the day? I mean, we did just find out we're all mates we could spend the day together. I know she'd let us and we wouldn't get her stuff in time to make it to classes anyways." I ask
"fine but we're attending lunch in the great hall so we can be there when they make the announcement."he agreed when he saw how my pupils had gotten bigger and filled out the white basically the puppy dog look but 10 times harder to say no to.
when we got there, McGonagall was already waiting for us at our curious expressions, she explained"harry's friends already told me and when you didn't show up the next day, we assumed you went on heat" as she said that she looked at blaze curiously.
"so funny story blaze came to see Lucius because he had a question about an assignment and turns out I'm one of those rare Fae who has 2 mates oh an he's part fae and Lucius already knows whatever you were planning on telling him unless you have connections to fae Because wizards and witches have only gotten about 5% of the information on us" I tell her with a sheepish expression.
"Well, then, all I need to tell you is where the room you'll be staying in is and I will make it as to where you and blaze share schedule because I'm guessing fae like to be close to their mate or mates and if they have two be at least close to one of them." I nod in confirmation and for her to continue speaking. "you'll also be excused from classes today and make the announcement at breakfast"
"Were is our room then"I asked curious
"go to breakfast and it will be ready by then and yes, your room was already ready originally, but I didn't know I needed to make it for three people" she told us and we all nodded our head. Well, me and blaze nodded our heads Lucious just inclined his.
Me and Blaze had just gotten to the great hall and Lucius was already at the headtable. Me and blaze walked over to the Gryffindor table and sat with my friends. Some of the Gryffindor's gave us odd looks, but luckily Ron hasn't noticed yet.
McGonagall stood and clapped her hands to get everyone's attention "attention everybody I would like to let everyone know that Mr. Potter has found his mates and yes, I meant mates. Mr. Potter is one of the lucky few who get two mates. His mates are Lucius Malfoy and Blaise Zabini they will have their own room and Harry an Blaise will share a schedule"she told everyone.
As soon as the Deputy Headmistress made her announcement, Ron's reaction was instant. His face twisted in anger, and he shot a venomous glare at Harry from across the room. Later that day, during lunch in the Great Hall, Ron stood with his friends, his voice loud enough for everyone around him to hear.
"So, everyone's supposed to just bow down to the 'Chosen One' and his royal fae majesty, huh?" he sneered, his eyes flicking toward Harry's table. "Bet he's loving all this attention. Maybe he can use his fae magic to charm his way out of anything now."
we all just gave Ron a dirty look and left the great hall.
The next morning, as Harry sat down for breakfast in the Great Hall, a red envelope flew through the air, landing directly in front of him. His heart sank as he recognized the dreaded Howler. The hall fell silent as the envelope began to smoke and hiss.
With a thunderous pop, the envelope burst open, and Molly Weasley's furious voice echoed through the hall.
"Harry James Potter! How dare you betray everything Arthur and I ever hoped for you! We always envisioned you and Ginny together, but instead, you've chosen to wallow in this ridiculous phase with those Slytherin Death Eaters! They're nothing but trouble, and you've let them drag you down into their mess!"
Molly's voice was sharp and full of disdain as she continued, her anger barely contained.
"Arthur and I have decided that you're not welcome at the Burrow until you're over this nonsense, and that goes for Ginny too. She's with Neville now, but we all know it's just a phase. You're causing so much hurt, and you've completely disregarded everyone who cared about you!"
She concluded with a final scathing remark.
"You've become nothing but a common whore, flaunting yourself with those who have no place in decent society. I am utterly ashamed of what you've become!"
The Howler's final words faded into a crackling silence. As it disintegrated into ash, the Great Hall remained eerily quiet. Ron, sitting at the Gryffindor table, wore a smug smirk, clearly enjoying the spectacle. Harry's face flushed with a mix of anger and sorrow. His hands trembled, and tears began to stream down his cheeks as he tried to hide his distress. The cruel words echoed in his mind, deepening the pain.
Immediately, Blaise and Lucius were at his side. Blaise wrapped an arm around Harry's shoulders, his voice gentle but firm. "Ignore her, Harry. She knows nothing of our bond or what we mean to each other. We're here for you."
Lucius placed a comforting hand on Harry's back, speaking softly. "You are not defined by her words. We are a family, and we will face this together. You are not alone in this."
Harry looked up, his eyes filled with gratitude and pain. Despite the hurt, he felt a glimmer of comfort from his mates' support. Their presence was a reminder that not everyone shared Molly's harsh judgment, and that he had people who truly cared about him.
For days after, Ron made it his mission to undermine Harry at every turn. His snide remarks echoed through the halls, dripping with sarcasm and bitterness. He spread exaggerated stories about Harry's newfound fae abilities, twisting the truth to make Harry seem like a threat rather than someone to be trusted.
Despite his efforts, Ron's antics failed to garner the reaction he wanted. Harry, his mates, and their friends ignored the taunts as best they could, refusing to rise to the bait. But that didn't stop Ron from trying. He made a point of turning others against Harry, sowing seeds of doubt and suspicion among the more impressionable students.
But as the days passed, and Ron's taunts failed to achieve the attention he craved, his interest began to wane. What started as daily jabs and public displays of bitterness slowly fizzled out, until, after nearly two weeks, Ron seemed to grow bored of his own game. Eventually, he moved on, finding something else to occupy his time, leaving behind only the echoes of his resentment.
At the beginning of the year, Lucius had decided that Draco should attend Durmstrang for the year, believing it would be a better environment for him. However, with the recent developments surrounding Harry and the complicated dynamics that had unfolded, Lucius reassessed the situation. He realized that Draco's presence at Hogwarts was necessary to address the current events and help explain the complexities of their circumstances.
Given the mounting issues and the need for Draco to be present, Lucius arranged for him to finish the rest of the year at Hogwarts. This decision was not just about Draco's education but also about ensuring he understood and could navigate the situation involving Harry, his mates, and the broader challenges they were facing.
Despite Lucius's intentions for Draco to stay at Hogwarts and address the unfolding issues, the decision quickly proved to be problematic. Draco's presence did little to alleviate the tensions; instead, it seemed to exacerbate them. He largely ignored Harry, Blaise, and Lucius, spending most of his time with Astoria Greengrass, his future betrothed.
Whenever Harry or his mates attempted to engage Draco in conversation, they were met with hostility and insults. Draco's behavior was dismissive and contemptuous, making it clear that he had little interest in mending fences or addressing the issues at hand. His focus on Astoria and his refusal to engage constructively only deepened the rift between him and the others, compounding the challenges Harry was already facing.
What was intended as an opportunity for explanation and resolution instead turned into a period of increased friction, leaving Harry and his mates grappling with the fallout of Draco's alienation and antagonism.
Lucius got increasingly frustrated with his son and he ended up talking to his mates about it, and after having a conversation with them, he decided it would be best to disinherit Draco but because he still want Draco to be taken care of because he still cared about him, he made sure to do it in a way where the betrothal wasn't cancelled.
For the past few weeks, Harry had been feeling increasingly unwell. He couldn't shake the persistent nausea that seemed to accompany him throughout the day, and he often found himself exhausted beyond reason. The fatigue was overwhelming, making even the simplest tasks feel insurmountable.
He also noticed an unusual sensitivity to smells and tastes, which only added to his discomfort. Food that he once enjoyed now seemed repulsive, and the smell of certain potions in the Potions classroom made him queasy.
Despite his attempts to brush off these symptoms as stress-related or perhaps the result of his recent emotional turmoil, he couldn't ignore how they were affecting him. He felt a growing concern but couldn't pinpoint exactly what was wrong.
His mates were quick to notice his deteriorating condition. Blaise and Lucius, growing increasingly worried about his health, decided that enough was enough. They insisted that Harry see Madame Pomfrey immediately. After a thorough examination, Madame Pomfrey discovered that Harry had missed his last heat cycle and that the symptoms he was experiencing were indicative of a fae pregnancy.
She stood there a little uncertain how to tell Harry that he is pregnant, especially since he's only 14.
"Mr. Potter I don't know exactly how to tell you this or if you'll consider it good or bad news, but you are..."
