Tina woke up smiling as she was given her half birthday breakfast on July 4th.
Melony was resting her ear on Garrett before nodding and feeding a mushroom to him "Chew and swallow this." she says as he does.
"Okay, let's go, I promised you a party." Melony says as she gets him birthday pancakes. Garrett smiled and ate them.
Later, they were heading to the manor as the streets were filled with decorations for Garrett.
They arrived at IHOP as it was decorated. "Happy birthday, Garrett!" Everyone says. Lucy and Luke had helped plan this day as this was part of Luke's redemption path.
"I get to eat more pancakes?!" Garrett asked, surprised.
Lucy nods as Garrett smiles.
After that, Garrett was shocked to see the whole town was coming together for him. Charity and Gabriel decided that the Royal Woods Freedom Fest this year would be dedicated to Garrett to celebrate his 18th birthday and his recovery.
Meanwhile, Jessica was giving her big sis a nice performance. Tina smiled at her.
"Thanks, sis." Tina says.
Jessica giggled. They head out for the day.
With Garrett, he walked to the mall with Melony.
Luke came up. "Are you excited for your day?" Luke says.
"Yes, I am! This day is just perfect so far!" Garrett says.
They did fun stuff and Garrett did some shopping.
Meanwhile, Beau got Tina a new 4th of July themed dress as she smiled.
"I love it!" She says.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies were setting up for the 4th of July in Greendale.
"I wonder what I'm getting for my birthday…" Emma wondered.
"Hopefully no one will ruin it." Angry Luigi says.
"My first 4th of July with siblings…" Savannah says. But Viney had plans with Emira and her family today, so Jerbo was the only one joining her.
"It's going to be fun! I can't wait for him to have Christmas and I may even invite the Blight family." Savannah says.
With Tina, she was eating with Jessica.
"What a perfect day." she says. She then saw that Freedom Fest wasn't going to be just an ordinary 4th of July festival this year. It was a festival to celebrate Garrett.
The town was setting photos of Garrett up and a stage was also being set up. Garrett was waiting for his party to start. This wasn't going to be a surprise since he knew about this already.
With Skylia, she was planning to invite Boscha and her dad over for Christmas.
Angry Luigi was worried about his brother.
"We'll have a big party for him when he recovers." Skylia says.
Soon, Tina waits for her party by knitting. Beatrix takes notice as she knitted Garrett's Guardians scarves and smiled.
"You're supporting the cause?" Beatrix asked with a smile.
Tina nodded. "Do you like them?" She asked.
"They look amazing!" Beatrix says.
At the festival, Garrett noticed the Toby Keith tribute band, Made In America, setting up on stage. He had no complaints about this as he and his dad have a bond over Toby Keith's music and they mourned his death together.
Later, Garrett sees his float, then looks unsure about this.
"What's wrong with it, sweetheart?" Charity asked. "Don't you like it?"
"I don't think he wants a float." Melony says.
"Something's missing from it." Garrett says.
"What?" Charity asked.
"Yes, I like the New York Mets as my favorite baseball team, but did you forget about my favorite basketball team?" Garrett says.
Charity goes to fix it. "There we go. Now the New York Mets and the New York Knicks are on it." She smiled at Garrett.
"Much better." Garrett says.
Soon, it was time for the party to begin with Garrett's entrance on the parade float.
"Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the birthday boy and the warrior who has made a marvelous recovery, Garrett Miller!" Charity says with a smile as the Oakley Academy high school marching band played Celebration while Garrett made his entrance.
"This is a grand celebration to honor not only the birthday of America, but the birthday of my son, Garrett." Forest says alongside Charity. "So, now that he has made his entrance, the celebration shall begin!"
Fans cheered as the festival began. Garrett was just taking it all in.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies had set up a party for Tina, but it wasn't too big.
The cosmic buddies usually went small, anyway.
"Awww, thanks, guys!" Tina says.
"You're welcome." Savannah says and got her a knitting kit.
At the Royal Woods festival, Garrett was trying his luck at the carnival games; he wasn't the best at most of them. Melony just sat hearing Garrett struggle.
Garrett grew annoyed and felt upset that he lost his skills. Kylie won a big teddy bear for him. Garrett smiled at her, but still felt upset.
"I'll never play basketball again…I was going to re-join the team this season…" Garrett sniffed. "I guess I'll have to forget about that now. He robbed me of my basketball skills!"
"That's not true. You're not going to forget about that. I'm not friends with a quitter." Melony says, but felt the hurt that Garrett had in his eyes.
They kept trying. As they went on, Garrett was getting better.
Everyone looked at Luke, because they knew Garrett was referring to him.
"How could you?" Lincoln asked. "First, you rob him of his actual birthday. Now you robbed him of his sports career. You couldn't stand to see him have a sporty future at his age, so you wanted him to get hurt on purpose! He was lined up to have college scouts at the first home basketball game of the Oakley Academy high school season. Now he'll have to kiss any chance of a sports scholarship goodbye!"
"I literally can't believe you!" Lori says to Luke. "You'll have to do a lot more just to redeem yourself!"
"So…so, it's true…" Garrett sniffed as he stared at Luke in disbelief. "You wanted me to be robbed of everything I love just to fuel your fame!"
"I can't believe you did this just to ensure that Garrett had no future." Luan says. "You're a sick freak!"
"Okay, enough…" Leni says. But Charity stepped in front of her and looked Luke in the eye. Luke was crying.
"This negative energy won't help make this day a good day for Garrett." Leni says
Garrett was very angry now. "Yes, this is a good day! A great one now that I know what Luke's true intentions were!" He screamed.
Later, Lucy reads a poem trying to cheer him up. Garrett sniffed. It was about his birthday. After that, Luna took the stage and performed a song Garrett would like. Garrett smiled at this.
As this went on, the Foxes looked at Luke with disgust.
"If you were really going to change your ways, why did you decide to ruin his future?" Griffin snarked. Luke looked down.
"You couldn't stand to see him get a future as a sports star, so you did all that on purpose just to ruin him!" Rachel says.
"You did this dog thing just to see how far you could push him! And after it all came to light, it turned out he was robbed of his humanity because you wanted to be cruel to Garrett over a movie contest that shouldn't have even happened!" Stevie screamed.
The entertainment news networks were eating this news up like dogs at an all-you-can-eat meat buffet. Luke ran away, humiliated. This would be tonight's news on TMZ and several other entertainment news shows.
"Son, are you feeling okay?" Forest asked Garrett.
"No, not really." he says.
Luan would later tell jokes to cheer him up. Garrett giggled a little. After Luan's show, he grabbed all the gifts he could get his hands on.
He got a new basketball jersey from Leni and Kylie got him a basketball
He opens Forest's gift to see his favorite player's jersey. A jersey autographed by Mitchell Robinson of the New York Knicks, to be exact.
"I…I love it!" He says. "This is amazing…"
Meanwhile, Tina and the others were dancing around and having fun as Jack poured some sports drink on the girls and laughed as Tina was drenched. Emila looked annoyed and teleported home.
Jack snickered as Alex took out his sword and tried slashing Jack, who dodged and Alex accidentally cut the cake in half as he chased Jack.
"This is why I seldom invite friends to celebrate my half-birthday…" Tina sighed.
Meanwhile, with Garrett, he was sitting in a chair and watching Made In America perform on stage. He was liking the songs being performed.
They performed songs for Garrett and the festival patrons. Garrett was deep in thought the whole time.
Tina was walking home after the disastrous party as Savannah felt bad for her.
With Garrett, Melony comforts him.
"Is he that jealous of me?!" Garrett says.
"He doesn't want anyone else to be famous and now that Randy's sick, Luke's even more afraid that Randy may get sympathy fame, much like you, Garrett." Melony says.
Shane overheard this and knew Luke lied about redeeming himself.
"Randy and Luke are about to have issues when Randy recovers. Imagine if Randy had more fame than Luke." Lisa says.
"Enough about Randy!" Garrett screamed. "That's all anyone seems to talk about! First, Luke hurts me, and now everyone talks about him!"
He swipes some icing from the cake and walks off to be alone.
Later…
"Garrett, check this out." Luna says, showing him a highlight reel of his best moments. When he saw the basketball clips, he cried, knowing that part of him was gone.
Kat and Ana did a ninja performance to cheer him up, then The Hot Slice Experience came on stage.
"Hello, everyone, we're here for a special boy, but where is he?" Mugman asked as girls screamed over Mugman.
Garrett raised his hand.
"There's the birthday boy!" Mugman says. "Well, we have a new song, and we're gonna be dedicating it to you today!"
"Oh, wow!" Garrett says. They performed their new song Highway To Nowhere as Garrett grinned. He cheered once they finished.
After a bit, he obliterated the basketball piñata and grabbed his share of the mini basketballs, toys, and candy. He was soon eating a Snickers candy bar and watching Made In America perform As Good As I Once Was, one of his favorite Toby Keith songs.
Luke ran home, humiliated and even more guilty. By then, it was time to bring out the birthday cake for Garrett, who smiled.
There were toy Garretts on the cake doing all kinds of different things, but the toy Garrett at the very top of the cake was a singer, which made him smile.
Soon everyone began to sing to Garrett as Made In America played the birthday song for Garrett. Garrett smiled as he took in the moment.
"Make a wish, sweetheart." Charity says to Garrett.
Garrett wished to play basketball and sing on stage again. Those were his two innermost passions. He then inhaled deeply and blew out his eighteen candles as everyone cheered for him.
Kylie fed Garrett his cake as the fireworks show started. Garrett smiled at the fireworks as the Foxes performed Living In America on stage.
Fans cheered for the Foxes as Oliver finally made up with his siblings and this was their reconciliation performance.
Alem tuber was in bed seeing this. It sucked to see that he was missing out on all the 4th of July festivities. He sighed as Tina watched the fireworks.
Lucy finds Luke, who is watching TMZ and crying.
Luke's reputation was sunk lower than an explorer sinking in quicksand.
"You should have treated him better." Lucy says. "You stole everything from him because you wanted more fame. You basically ruined Garrett's future."
He looks and sees people talking about either Garrett or Randy.
