Jerbo came into Raine's room the next day.
"Happy birthday, Raine!" He says. He made birthday pancakes as Raine just smiled and ate their breakfast.
Everyone in the Bard coven decorated the whole Boiling Isles around them.
Meanwhile, Lucy works on her poems for Shane's day. She saw Shane leave for another birthday gig.
"Shane does birthday gigs, too?" Luan asked as Lucy nodded.
"I had no idea…" Luan says.
"He did that stuff in Petoskey Falls when he turned 14." Lance told Luan. "He even worked alongside Laurie Berkner herself at 15."
Luan was wide-eyed. "That's incredible…" She says.
"He's good at anything he puts his mind to." Lisa says.
Randy looked worse as he coughed.
"Randy!" Skylia says, tearing up. She calls a doctor. One of Maria's assistants showed up as he was a doctor. He then looked Randy over.
"Will he live?" Skylia asked.
"Has he been taking any medicine to combat this?" Andrew, the doctor, asked.
"I brought him some medicine last week." Skylia says.
"He needs to be taking medicine every day and needs to be monitored for signs of improvement." Andrew says.
Skylia nods. "I don't have enough money." She sobbed.
"I can give you a few days' worth of medicine, but you really have to work something out." Andrew says.
Skylia nodded, unsure of what to do. She had to pay for Randy's medicine and feed Brandy, Skara, and Emma, and pay other bills.
Speaking of Skara, she and the others were done decorating.
Raine had been around the Isles, thinking of whether the Bard Coven even cared about them or even appreciated them.
Jerbo finds them. "I have a surprise for you." Jerbo says.
"What?" Raine asked as Jerbo took them to a big place on Earth.
"Surprise!" everyone says. Eda and King were there as well. "Happy Birthday, Raine!"
Raine was surprised and speechless, then they spoke.
"It's perfect" they say.
As the party began, Skara went to be alone, looking down and it began to hit her that her family wasn't rich and was struggling. She was starting to worry and wondered if she was better off somewhere else.
"What's wrong?" Boscha asked.
"I can't live with them…I just…I can't." Skara says.
"Why, money issues?" Boscha asked.
Skara nods.
"Listen, you can't just ditch a family because they're having money issues. My dad could have helped out. Why didn't you tell me?" Boscha asked.
"Because I know you would leave me!" Skara cried.
"Baby, I would never do that to you. Do you need one of those campaigns? We can all help." Boscha says as Raine overhears this. Yes, this was supposed to be their day, but that would be cruel to be mad at someone suffering.
"I couldn't help but overhear your dilemma, Miss Skara. If you like, I could spread the word around the Coven Center. It wouldn't be an issue at all. Just say the word," Raine says, putting a hand on Skara's shoulder.
"Thank you, my brother is sick." Skara says.
"Tomorrow, I will spread the word. You have my promise." Raine says. "It's okay. Come on, you could use some punch. Maybe two glasses."
"I'd like that a lot." Skara says as she goes with Raine to the punch bowl.
As Skara gets herself some punch, Eda approaches Raine.
"So, Raine, I gotta admit, I'm pretty proud of you." Eda says.
"For what, exactly?" Raine asked as they looked at Eda.
"All these kids. You taught 'em well." Eda says.
"Oh, I try." Raine says, smiling.
"Yo, Raine! I found the trailer for Die Bard 3!" Hunter says.
Everyone goes to watch. Raine watched, wide-eyed and grinning. "I am so going to see this when it comes out!" Raine says. "It looks like it'll be just as good as Die Bard 2!"
Meanwhile...
"I'm not dying, damn it!" Alem tuber says, trying to get up. Skylia felt bad for him.
Meanwhile, Shane came to perform for Raine.
"What does Raine even identify as?" Shane asks Skara.
"Them." Skara says.
"How exactly do I address them?" Shane asked.
"Just go with calling them the birthday girl. Better than nothing." Skara says, unsure and hoping Raine doesn't hurt Shane for doing that. Raine's bard magic was powerful.
Shane soon steps on stage. "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm looking for the birthday girl! Do you know where I can find Raine Whispers?" He says, looking for Raine while looking nervous.
Raine lifted up their hand.
"Ah, there you are! Care to join me on stage?" Shane asked.
Raine smiled and took the stage.
"So, Raine, why don't you tell me how old you are today?" Shane asked.
"I'm 50." they say.
"How wonderful, so full of life and so full of…whimsy! Well, how about I start the show, huh?" Shane says, nervous. Deep down, Shane didn't know what to perform.
Jerbo tells him what they like.
Shane's nerves began to bunch up as he ran offstage.
"Shane? What's wrong? We're trying to make it up to Raine." Jerbo says, looking down.
"I should have been informed of this before I showed up with all my rhythm band instruments and my guitar!" Shane says. "How do I musically entertain someone Raine's age?"
"Anything will do. Just be you and go from the heart. Like a song from Die Bard 2. It's their favorite." Jerbo says.
Shane smiles. "I think I know one song from that movie." Shane says.
Soon, Shane took the stage.
"I have a song from a certain movie that the guest of honor just happens to like…Die Bard 2." Shane smiles.
Everyone gasped as Raine squealed.
"Is it the song I think it is?!" Raine asked. Eda nods.
"Play it, Shane!" Raine says, grinning insanely.
"With pleasure." Shane says and begins performing Barracuda. (The Trolls World Tour cover)
"YES! The song from the final battle scene when the leader of the battle squad fought the powerful final boss! This song rocked that scene to its core!" Raine grinned and acted out the scene itself.
Fans cheered as the whole world was watching Shane. Raine was doing a pretty accurate reenactment as Shane performed. Soon, he finished as fans cheered.
"Shane! Shane! Shane!" Girls screamed. Shane just grinned.
"Happy 50th birthday, Raine. That was the most fun I've had in forever!" Shane says.
Lucy was done planning for Shane at home. Luke cried as he saw the video of Shane performing for Raine.
Soon, it was piñata time.
"Okay, Raine, what will it be this year? Fox pinata or one that looks like the final boss from Die Bard 2?" Eda asked.
"Final boss from Die Bard 2." Raine says as Eda brings it out.
"Breaking it with a bat or bard magic this year?" Eda asked.
"Bard magic." Raine says and uses a guitar to use bard magic, breaking the piñata open as candy falls out.
"Not bad, Rainestorm." Eda says, giving Raine their share of the candy.
Lucy tried comforting Luke as he was crying his eyes out.
"No fair!" Luke sobbed.
Shane smiled and cued up a DJ playlist he made. Raine's ears perked up when they heard the song Summer Girls by LFO.
"My summer song…" Raine says to Shane. "How did you know?"
"I'm the best at what I do." Shane says.
Eda hears the song as well and smiles, dancing with Raine.
Luke sees the news of Randy and growls in anger. there were rumors Of something the Covens were planning. Well, all but the Healing coven, as Viney and her coven were working with Garrett's Guardians. Even though Garrett wasn't in the hospital. He was that popular.
"Randy doesn't deserve that support or fame! First Shane, now him!" Luke screamed.
Charity nipped his attitude in the bud real quick before he threw an anger fit.
Soon, Savannah revealed the cake she baked. She was considering teaching Jerbo soon so he can be as good as her and Stephen.
"This…this cake is just amazing!" Raine says as they smile at it.
It says "Happy 50th Birthday, Raine Whispers!" with 50 candles placed around a picture of Raine dressed as the main character from Die Bard 2, complete with the character's signature lyre and flute.
"Who's leading the birthday song this year?" Raine asked.
Savannah and Jerbo start singing as a smile crosses Raine's face. They wish Skara would feel happy in her home. Raine then blew out the candles in one single breath.
Soon, Eda was feeding them. Raine just blushed profusely, accepting each bite.
The next day, Skara woke up, not sure if Raine actually was telling the truth. She sighed.
"Skara, are you okay?" Skylia asked, concerned.
Just then, messages spread across Skara's Penstagram.
"Told you I was a leader of my word!" Raine's message says as messages from the other coven leaders aside from Viney were there in plain sight.
Skara shows Skylia.
Skylia hugged Skara. "You're amazing, you know that?" Skylia says.
Skara smiled and hugged Skylia back.
