It was the week after the hero competition as the news about New York Sound had gotten out that they advanced due to home court advantage.
Melony sighed as tomorrow was the show. She knew the word would get out sooner or later.
"If I was in the show, things would be different." Alem tuber says.
"They're probably going to replace us with a different team like Alem tuber's team or maybe Luna's team." Kylie says "Or Lisa and Beau. Or…the Foxes minus Oliver."
"We'll know later." Cedric says. "But Gemma wants us to open the show regardless."
"Right. We should think of a good opening act song." Garrett says.
Cedric began working on outfits as the others thought of songs.
Melony sighed. At least her team won 3rd.
Meanwhile, Cynthia was designing for the boys as she worked fast.
Emma was watching TV.
"Okay, Emma, we need to prepare." Skara says.
"But I'm having a playdate with Melody!" Emma says but Skara dragged her.
Later, Emma saw a nice boy, but Skara pulled Emma away.
"Oh, no, he'll break your heart." Skara says.
Skara was practicing when she spotted Emma talking to the boy.
"Okay, buddy, back away from my sister." Skara said as the boy ran off.
Meanwhile…
"Any news if we're back on?" Pam asked.
"No, they said there is going to be a competition between us, Alem tuber and his idiot friends, Then Lisa and Beau and New York Sound without home court advantage in 2 days. The finals got delayed." Stevie says.
Meanwhile, Alem Tuber and his boys were preparing.
"Funny story. I gave Emma and Skara our spot." Alem tuber says.
"So nice." Alex says.
Meanwhile…
Lucy noticed Lisa was nervous. "Hey, Lisa." Lucy says. "Are you okay?"
"No, what if I lose?!" Lisa asked.
"Then it's okay. You tried." Lucy says.
"I also have 11 toes." Lisa says.
"I don't mind." Lucy says.
"What if my team wins? You'd hurt me." Lisa says
"Lisa, that's not true." Lucy says.
When Beau got this news, he winced.
"I'm going to have college stuff going on the entire day that day. There's going to be no way I'll be able to compete in that competition in any way. I hope Lisa understands…" Beau says, telling Beatrix all this. "If I had known about this a lot earlier, then I would have cleared my schedule."
"She'll understand, little bro. You have a ton of stuff going on right now, and you just don't have any time for a show right now." Beatrix says.
"I hope she's not gonna be too disappointed." Beau says as he went off to tell her.
Beau arrived at the manor. "Lis, I have something to tell you." He says.
"What's that?" Lisa says.
"When I got the news about the little competition they were having to see who deserves the 5th spot in the ASTS finals and saw the date, I realized that I have college stuff going on all day that day and there isn't going to be any way I'll be able to compete. I'm really sorry if I'm upsetting you with this news." Beau says.
"What college are you going to if you don't mind me asking?" Lisa asked.
"Rice University in Houston." Beau says. "It was my dad's college alma mater and I got accepted. I'm going to be in Houston all day that day and into the next. I'll be busy with student orientation stuff, getting my dorm assignment, figuring out my class schedule, and goodness knows what else." Beau says.
Lisa felt like a weight was lifted from her shoulders. "Good luck in Houston." She said with a smile and kissed him.
"Thanks." Beau said and kissed her back. "I promise that I'll make this up to you."
"You don't have to. Just worry about your college things." Lisa reassured him. "I'll be here when you come back."
Beau smiled and hugged Lisa, then left.
Meanwhile…
"So Lisa and Beau are out of the competition?" Stevie asked.
"Beau's schedule coincided with the competition date. He was going to be a no-show due to all the college stuff he'll have going on." Rachel says.
"So now there's us, New York Sound, and Alem tuber and his dumb friends." Griffin says.
"Those other two teams don't stand a chance against us. We've performed without Oliver before and we can do it again." Pam says.
Meanwhile, Alem tuber was practicing.
"That's one less team to worry about." Alem tuber says.
"I heard that this competition will be a one-round deal. And the results will be final." Alex says. "No re-dos or resets."
Alem tuber nods.
With the boys, they were in Central City to promote the show"take care of business". First order of that "business" was doing away with Barry's rogue gallery by locking them up until the finals were over.
"And if you try ANYTHING to mess that night up, we will mess you up! AM I CLEAR?!" Barry hisses. His rogues gulped and nodded in fear.
"Good." Shane says. "Now stay put. Or else."
The Invincibros then left the jail and took off for their first pre-finals interview.
With the Bard Experience, they were practicing for a while. Emma was getting hungry and bored.
"Okay, let's take a break. Hey, Emma, making new friends?" Amity asked.
"No." Emma said and walked off.
The next day, Emma woke up in some metal sphere tied up with the cosmic buddies, Ruby, and Ember.
"Huh, what the?" Angry Luigi asked.
"Where are we?" Bill asked.
"Simple. You're not entering the show. The Foxes are." Mike says.
"They hired you to take us out, why?" Melony asked.
"Their plan was for them to get to the finals and then make Oliver love them again. They said if taking you out without anyone noticing will get the job done, then so be it. Besides, no one really cared about you guys. Also we hate you." Mike says as Wildy laughed.
"Let us go or you'll regret it." Melony says.
"Skara will save me." Emma says.
"Yeah, right. We know she won't save you. She thinks you're annoying." Josh says.
Meanwhile, the Foxes were watching the news.
"New York Sound will be blown away." Pam says.
"Besides, the cosmic buddies deserve it for driving Oliver away from us." Stevie says.
Meanwhile, Delta woke up and tried cutting the chains, but they got zapped.
The cosmic buddies were in pain, but tried breaking free.
"Oh, we captured Begmax and his goons, too." Mike says.
Josh pushed Begmax and his goons down a river.
"We gotta free ourselves." Chrissy says.
Meanwhile, Ashley was watching TV. Penny kept her company.
"Um, Penny…thanks." Ashley says.
"How are you feeling?" Penny asked.
"A bit better, but still sick." Ashley says.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies managed to get free, but they were in pain.
"Ow…" Ruby says as wildy growls.
"They weren't supposed to escape!" Griffin says.
"Why do you hate us?" Angry Luigi asked
"Melony caused Oliver to hate us." Pam says.
Angry Luigi tossed Bill an Ice Flower and tossed a super bell to Emma.
"Okay, then let's do this." Angry Luigi says holding a cape feather.
The Foxes shoot magic blasts, but the cosmic buddies dodged as Cat Emma was dodging.
Alex rushed and kicked Mike. Ice Bill tossed ice balls at Pam, who kicked Bill.
Delta rushed and shot blasts at Wildy, who roared and tried punching Delta, who dodged and kicked Wildy, then Stevie kicked Delta.
Cape Angry Luigi tried hitting Griffin, who dodged and used a magic hurricane on him.
Alem tuber tries punching Oime, who blocked. Then Rachel kicked Alem tuber.
The Foxes tied the cosmic buddies in magic binds.
"I don't use magic" Melony says, spitting seeds at the Foxes as the seeds explode, but the Foxes used a magic shield.
"You're the reason our brother hates us." Griffin said coldly.
"Give up and you'll be free' Pam says.
"Never." Melony says.
Stevie grabbed Emma.
"Give up or the girl suffers." Stevie says.
At that moment, Gabriel interfered. "What do you kids think you're doing?" Their father asked.
"They tore us apart from Oliver." they say.
"Did they really?" Gabriel asked.
"Yes. If Melony hadn't been at home court, we would have won." Pam says.
"That's the reason her team even got to the finals. It's still all over the news." Rachel says.
"Yeah, but we can win even without home court advantage." Melony says. "Now let me go and I'll kick your butts!"
"Never threaten my kids like that again, young lady." Gabriel says.
"I'll do it again." Melony says.
"Melony, just shut up." Chrissy says.
Alex uses a blade, freeing them
"Nice one." Alem tuber says and rushed for Wildy, but Wildy punched Alem tuber back.
"Okay, listen, freak, you're going to get out of my way." Alem tuber says.
"I don't think so." Mike says.
"Do you really wanna fight us? Without the Foxes, you're toast." Bill noted.
"Fine. We'll be back." Mike says.
Emma ran home, sobbing.
"I got to get ready for my last chance." Melony says and runs off.
Skara was practicing with Amity, Boscha, and Raine when Emma came.
"Emma! Where have you been?" Skara asked.
Emma sniffed. "The Foxes hired Mike and Josh to capture us and tried to push us down a river." Emma sniffed.
"I see." Skara says.
Two days later, it was a competition between the Foxes, the New York Sound, and the cosmic buddies. This would be a "winner-take-all" situation.
"One chance for a spot in our finals show! Who will take it? It's time to find out!" Braxton says.
"It's a freestyle frenzy to see who deserves that spot more. Remember, no cheating and no revenge of any kind. This is a fair competition. The votes will determine which of these three teams will make it to the finals show." Gemma says. "If you don't make it, that's not a bad thing. It just means you'll have to try harder next season."
"So, let's get this competition started. First up, the team that no longer has home court advantage, New York Sound!" Dave says.
They came out on a spooky set, about to perform an iconic song from Ghostbusters. They performed the Run DMC Ghostbusters song, doing their best to keep up with the song's pace. Fans cheered and screamed.
"So cool!" Some fans cheered as they danced.
"New York Sound! New York Sound!" Fans chanted.
The cosmic buddies were up next. Emma cheered as they came up to fans roaring and cheering. They performed "Man In The Mirror".
Girls were screaming "Encore, encore!"
Alem tuber made fireworks spelling "Cosmic Buddies" as kids were in awe.
Soon, the Foxes performed "You Can't Stop The Beat" from Hairspray as fans cheered and sang along. This performance seemed to have it all. Even Oliver Fox appeared to see this.
The votes came pouring in as Gemma, Dave, and Braxton looked at the vote board.
"Hmmm…" Dave says.
"What are you thinking?" Braxton asked.
"According to the board, the Foxes are leading with New York Sound not very far behind them." Dave says.
"It's gonna be close…" Gemma says.
"Tell you what. If you win, I'll join you again." Oliver Fox says to his siblings.
Alex was playing with a dagger for fun, using it to play darts.
Jack noticed Mike and Josh.
"We've got a problem." Jack says.
"What do they want now?" Alem tuber asked
"Revenge, duh! " Alex says.
"We came to see you lose." Mike says. Melony walked up and kicked Mike.
"The team that will be going to the finals is the Foxes!" Gemma says as fans cheer.
"Later, losers." Mike and Josh say, taunting Melony and Alem tuber.
"Oliver Fox went back to his team." Garth says.
"Finally, a challenge!" Hal says.
Melony walked out as all the fans were laughing at her.
