Seiji's training over the next year was intense. He had mastered many things and could even tap into Sage Mode for about ten minutes. Sin was helping him tap into the Dragon Sage Mode. It was harder than regular Sage Mode. Seiji had mastered his fighting style and Daniel Winkler had delivered a masterpiece for him. Seiji had also altered his armor and robes even more now. He traded his outer armor for an inner weave in his coat. His long coat was now down to his kneecaps and had a small inner lining of armor. Nick and Penny also helped enchant it to never get dirty, repel flames and water. His inner armor was much the same as before. Blackened leather armor wrapped around his torso protecting his vital organs. His bracers with their hidden blades stayed as well but aside from his coat he was not as armored under it as before. Seiji preferred speed and movement over protection. This morning Seiji got up early like always to train against Nick.

Nicholas Flamel, aside from his age, was a demon in combat. It took Seiji considerable energy to remain just ahead of his adopted father. His main goal was to learn how a Witch or Wizard would think as he spun the new tomahawk into his hand. The weight was perfect as he spun it, marveling at how simple, yet deadly it was. Nick cast a Stunning Spell at him and Seiji ducked under it, only to rest the Hawk against Nick's leg.

"Well done." Nick said as Seiji rose and thanked his father. "I think you are ready, though I doubt they will allow Sage Mode in this year's melee." Nick teased. Seiji laughed as they headed in for breakfast. Learning Sage Mode had taken most of Seiji's attention and his training was a little lighter than before. Seiji ate breakfast when he paused, a fork in the air poised to bite. Said fork clattered to the ground as Seiji quickly rose.

"Gotta go!" He said as he disappeared in his now familiar flock of ravens. Nick and Penny looked at each other confused, what had caused Seiji to skip a meal?

Seiji appeared near his destination and hurried off, his clone's memories still fresh in his mind. Anger pulsed in him as Sin awakened. 'I know it feels good, my apprentice, but anger rarely gives us what we want.' Sin said as Seiji kept moving. He didn't acknowledge the ancient dragon, his only target was the young boy he was silently watching over. A left turn, then a right put him on an intercept path as Seiji looked up. A scrawny boy in too big clothes with round glasses ran down the alleyway to him. His messy black hair was a dead giveaway to Seiji as he waited. The six boys behind the young boy made Seiji angry, but his mission was not Death, not today. Reaching out, Seiji grabbed the young man and soon vanished into thin air, as if he had never been there. Seiji reappeared outside the wards to his home in France as he opened his arms to let the boy step out. Seiji remained where he was, so as to not scare the boy.

"Who are you?" the young boy asked as Seiji nodded. Good first question, identify friend or foe.

"My name is Seiji, and I am a friend. A friend who has been watching over you for quite some time, young Harry Potter." Seiji said bowing slightly to him. Harry looked at the person who only seemed a few years older than him.

"Why have you been watching me?" Harry asked as Seiji smiled again. Good second question, establish motive.

"I am an interested party, though there are other parties invested in your survival, I chose to take a more… hands on approach." Seiji answered. "I have been observing you living with those monsters called family for a year and a half now. It was me who left the money for food while you were running away from your cousin. It was me who made sure no lasting harm befell you. What I cannot and will not stand for though, is abuse. I had tried to maintain my neutrality in this, but I no longer can simply stand by and watch. I have brought you here, outside my home to two lovely people who took me in as well. I am sure they would be overjoyed to house you as well." Seiji explained as Harry looked at him curiously.

"You're Mister Tulli?" Harry asked as Seiji nodded, many of the gifts sent to Harry discreetly were sent by the mysterious Mister Tulli as a return address. Seiji didn't think advertising his last name was a good idea just yet, he needed to remain a ghost for as long as he could.

"Harry, I have studied your life and the lives around you so I would know it like the back of my hand. I have studied everything so it would never happen again." Seiji said as he knelt down to one knee to be at Harry's height. "I swear to you now, as the Sage of Dragons, that I will always be there for you, whether you want me to or not." Seiji said as Harry blinked back tears. This older boy didn't seem to know just how much Harry needed that, someone to always be by his side. Harry lunged at the boy and Seiji held him close. "I've got you little brother." Seiji said as he rose and walked across the ward, alerting Nick and Penny that they had a guest.

Seiji walked up the path easily with the young boy in his arms as Nick and Penny awaited him at the door. Seiji set Harry down and smiled at him. "Harry, these are my adopted parents, Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel." Seiji said as Harry shyly waved. Nick and Penny melted instantly at the sight of the young boy as Seiji switched to his native tongue. "He was starved, abused, and chased by his older cousin. I will not standby and play that old fool's game anymore." Seiji said as Nick and Penny both nodded.

"Penny, why don't you take Harry in for a cup of tea, I must speak with our son." Nick said as Penny offered her hand to Harry, who took it and was led inside. Seiji watched them go, before turning his attention to Nick.

"This makes things difficult, the Trace is still on him and with our wards it will look like Harry simply vanished." Nick said as Seiji nodded, he knew this was a big leap in their plans but Seiji had no other choice.

"I accept full responsibility for my actions, but I am not going to allow this to continue despite what that old fool thinks." Seiji growled, referring to Albus Dumbledore's idea that love would conquer all. There was no love for Harry in that house, and Seiji was done watching the pain. Nick nodded and motioned Seiji inside. "We will have to tell Harry about you." Nick said as Seiji shrugged.

"Worse things could have happened. We need him prepared for the world he is going into. Dumbledore wanted him blind for some reason, I will not allow that." Seiji said as Nick nodded. The two found Harry and Penny in the sitting room sipping tea, Harry was swinging his legs from the chair and Seiji was astounded at how young the boy looked. He knew the boy was nine, three years his junior, but he looked so… innocent. At nine, Seiji had already killed over fifty men, was a notorious assassin and many other things. Harry was still just a kid. Penny looked up and smiled at the two men.

"Harry here was just talking about your presents, Mister Tulli." She said with a wink that made Nick chuckle.

"Really? That is your alias name?" Nick teased as Seiji shook his head.

"It worked for me for a long time, keeping the tradition alive." Seiji replied as Nick looked at Harry, seeing how thin he was. He looked at Penny and raised an eyebrow. Penny nodded and went to brew some nutrition potions for Harry. Pymander chose that moment to flame in and startle Harry as Nick and Seiji both looked to the golden phoenix. Pymander had two pieces of mail, one for Nick and one for Seiji. The two took their respective letters and read through them, swapping after they finished as the other should know the info. "That was fast." Seiji remarked as the letter for Nick was from one Albus Dumbledore asking if he had any knowledge of Harry Potter's whereabouts. The letter for Seiji was from Official DuCasse, telling him that his place was reserved in the melee that would start tomorrow. Nick scowled and looked at Seiji.

"We will have to keep Harry here for a bit, I'm sorry that we won't be able to attend the Melee with you son." Nick said heartbroken that he wouldn't be there to support his son. Seiji waved a hand dismissively.

"The mission comes first. Secure Harry, check. Get Harry up to speed on what world he just dropped into? Not check." Seiji said as he looked at his adopted father. "Train Harry, I'll get his letter, and maybe just maybe, we can pull one over on Dumbledore." Seiji said as he went to pack his kit. Nick looked at Harry and smiled at him.

"How about a tour?" Nick asked as Harry nodded eagerly as Nick showed him around.

Seiji walked into his room and began to pack his kit bag. His weapons went in first, he wasn't allowed to seal them into his arms as they had to be inspected by the officials as well as his armor. Next went his regular clothes. Over the time spent here, Seiji had developed a sort of style, dark jeans and tactical pants with dark button ups and sport coats for one, his military like field jacket and a few tshirts for more casual wear should the need arise. His leather shoes and boots were added as well. Seiji had grown to admire the classy things, and had a balance to accommodate that choice in his wardrobe selection. His bags amounted to his weapons and armor and the other was for clothes to be worn outside of the melee. Seiji wondered how best to hide his family name and decided to compete under an alias. He asked the ancient dragon before submitting his name and the dragon was honored that Seiji asked to use his name. To everyone who didn't know Seiji, he was simply Sin. A good name, a powerful name.

Seiji walked back down the stairs and three people greeted him before he left. Nick, Penny and now young Harry stood there as he smiled at each of them.

"Remember your training and you will win this easily." Nick said clasping forearms with Seiji in the warrior's embrace. Seiji nodded and smiled.

"I shall return victorious." Seiji said as Nick smiled at his adopted son. Penny stepped forward and hugged her adopted son.

"You mind your manners, don't let them insult you but don't escalate anything." Penny said as Seiji bowed slightly.

"I will maintain your lessons and not bring shame to you as a teacher." Seiji said as Penny smiled. Little Harry stepped forward and Seiji knelt down to be at his level.

"Good luck!" Harry said as Seiji smiled and ruffled his hair.

"I'll be back before you know it." Seiji said before holding his fist out to Harry. Harry hesitated for a second before bumping fists with Seiji. Seiji smiled, rising and vanishing in a flock of ravens once again.

"Always so dramatic." Nick said, chuckling as Penny looked at him.

"And who taught him that?" She teased as Nick laughed as they led young Harry back inside.
