Staying At The Bodega

"Paris France! Yes!" Anastasia exclaimed.

"The three of us will pack our suitcases too!" Bradford agreed.

"You three will get packed," Gaby said firmly. "but you will not be coming with us."

"Mom and I have arranged for the three of you to stay with Aunt Tina and Uncle Alex while we're away." Rob said.

"Oh no," AJ groaned irritably. "that means we'll be spending time with the Dork Patrol!"

"Oh, come on, AJ," Bradford said. "Jade and Drew aren't that bad!"

"I agree," Anastasia said. "Jade and I are even teaming up on a detective novel collaboration, with Jade writing the story and me drawing the pictures."

"Knowing Jade and Drew," AJ groaned. "they will probably be babysitting their snot nosed cousin, TJ, and he is that bad!"

"How so?" Anastasia asked AJ.

"The last time Jade and Drew were here, they brought TJ with them," AJ reminded Anastasia and Bradford. "and the little rugrat melted all of my crayons together!"

"Come on, AJ, Tony Junior was only 3-years-old at that time," Bradford reasoned. "he didn't know any better back then."

"That's no excuse, leopards don't change their spots, you know." AJ said.

"Well we'll find out when we get there." Anastasia said, pulling her suitcase out of the closet.

"Yeah, one way or the other," AJ sighed, still not too happy about the whole thing. "I just hope Aunt Gaby doesn't let Uncle Alex make those chocolate chip pancakes again like he did when they spent the night here."

"Why?" Bradford asked. "those things are great!"

"You've never had to put up with Tony Junior on a sugar rush," AJ replied. "that's what happened when he came up with the idea to melt my crayons together."

The twins flinched as the three children took their suitcases to their bedrooms to pack.

At the bodega that afternoon, Jade and Andrew were doing their homework at the kitchen table.

When there came a sudden knock on the door.

"That should be Aunt Gaby, Uncle Rob, and your cousins." Alex said.

Alex opened the door.

"Sorry we don't have time to chat right now," Rob said in a hurried manner. "we've got to drop AJ and the twins off and catch our flight!"

Tina looked at Gaby, "You should really be resting, and what about your baby shower?" she asked.

"Don't worry so much, Tina, it'll be at least one more month before I'm due," Gaby laughed. "and my shower is scheduled for a week from Saturday."

AJ, Anastasia, and Bradford set their bags down, then, sat at the table with Jade and Andrew.

"TJ isn't here, is he?" AJ asked Jade and Andrew.

"Nope, TJ is up in his apartment watching Dora The Explorer." Andrew answered AJ.

"Yuck! I didn't like that show when I was supposed to, and I don't like it now!" Anastasia and Bradford exclaimed.

"Good." AJ sighed in relief.

"That means, it'll be just the four of us for the time you're visiting!" Jade agreed out of excitement.
