New Direction has another chance at nationals, and Will knows someone who can help
Mckinley High:
In the music room, Will was typing on his computer until a knock was heard, making him look up to see a man, with short brown hair, and wearing a suit. "Mr. Schuester?". Will stood up and says. "hi, how can i help you?".
The man says, "i am one of the new school board members, and you're school is in my district". The man held up his hand, and Wll shook his hand while saying. "nice to meet you. Uhh please have a seat".
The man sat down across from Will, who says. "i gotta say. You look really familiar, have we met before". The man chuckled while shaking his head. "how quickly we forget. The name is carl howell". Will makes a shock expression, making carl chuckled while sitting back
Will: carl? wow, i haven't heard from you since we all graduate
Carl: well, you know the reason
Will scoff before shaking his head and says. "i can't believe you're still angry. Carl, kendra chosed me". Carl nodded before saying. "yeah, and look where that got her". Will shook his head again before saying. "still the same old guy from school".
Carl look through his book before saying. "i didn't came here to fight. I wanna talk to you. I heard you are the new director of glee?". Will nodded, and says. "The New Directions". Carl smiled before saying. "still living in the past".
Will: i ain't doing this for me. I'm doing this for the kids
Carl: well that'll make it hard for them since you lost you're regionals
Will slowly nodded. "we did lose, but they like our performance so much they're giving us a chance at nationals". Carl smirked while shaking his head. "Well. Atleast they have that. But since you guys lost regionals, and i need to cut the budget on you're club".
Will looks at carl with a shock expression. "what. Carl, you can't do this because of our past". Carl stood up and walks up to the window to see the music room. "i need to find a way to cut the cost on the school. I even fired that history teacher".
Will stood up and says angrily. "carl, we lost regionals, yes. But we got a second chance at nationals. Now we are barely holding by right now. I mean, we paid for the school bus for regionals, new costumes. If you cut us anymore, we can't make it for nationals".
Carl looks back at Will and says. "that sounds like a you problem. You lost regionals, so we have no reason to hand over more money for the stupid club". Will walked around his desk and walked up toward carl. "stupid club, carl, we were in the same glee club back when we were students".
Carl: yeah, and you and kendra got the solos. I bet our director didn't notice me
Will: c'mon, carl. What you're doing is wrong and you know it
Carl: i'm just doing my job
Will: to spite me
Carl smiled until he notice a photo of kendra on his desk. "that's also a plus. Beside, you are the 51st finalist in this years nationals. You're odds of winning are 100 to one, especially since your lost on regionals". Carl continue looking at the music room. "and this place could be a good computer lab".
Will: that is not gonna happen
Carl says. "well, we'll see the day you come back from new york. With you're participation award. But until then, i am cutting you're budget. And if you lose in nationals, it'll be indefinite. And not only that, but i will also turn this room into the new computer class".
Will says. "you can't do that". Carl stares at Will while talking. "i am a school board member. I can do whatever i want. I'll be around". Carl walked out of the office, but came back and peak his head through the doorframe. "oh, and have a good day on rehearsal". He said before walking away
Will put his hands on his hips while having a frustrated expression
Emma's office:
Will was pacing around the office while emma was dusting a plant. "so what is you're relationship with this carl dowell?".
Will looks at emma while rubbing his face, and says. "we were in the glee club when we were here as students. We both fought for every solo, and. We both were in love with kendra".
Emma looks at Will with a shock expression. "oh boy. And since you married kendra, he has a grudge against you?". Will nodded before sitting down. "yup, and now he is a board member. He is replacing brian ryan position after he got cast for a TV show". Emma finished dusting, and started using a sprayer to spray water on the plant while talking. "well. You are adults now".
Will nodded before talking. "yeah, but he was obsessed with kendra. Even now, he still has a grudge. He's talking about cutting the glee's budget, and he is convinced we'll lose nationals. He's talking about turning the music room into a computer lab".
Emma sigh while setting the water spray on the table before sitting down herself. "he can't do that". She said, making Will shook his head. "he's a board member, he can do whatever he wants if the superintendent agrees with it".
Emma: where are you gonna rehearse if he does that?
Will: i don't know. I mean we can't rehearse in the auditorium everyday. Sue and the cheerios need them. Shannon and the titans are always on the field
Emma: you can win nationals, Will. I've seen those kids
Will looks down before saying. "yeah, but i don't think i'm enough for them... I need help to win nationals". Emma tapped her pen on her desk before saying. "hey, since we're talking about rivals in your glee club. What about asking an old friend in the club to help you, unless you have no contact with them". Will snapped his fingers while talking. "hey, that isn't a bad idea. There was another member in my glee that was. Amazing, lost touch of her for years. She was, kendra best friend. You still have old school records when we were students?".
Emma nodded before grabbing a piece of paper. "who is it?"she asked while holding her pen. Will slowly sat up before he said the name. "holly. Holliday".
Music room:
Rachel was sitting beside the piano, with jacob standing across from her. A recorder was sitting in the middle of the piano. Jacob starts talking to his tiny microphone. "this is jacob ben isreal, and i am sitting with glee captain, rachel berry, talking about their lost at regionals. So tell me, rachel, how did losing regionals affect you?". He said before pointing his microphone toward rachel
Rachel cleared her throat before talking. "it affected each member differently. I am sad that we lost, but we gain another chance for nationals". Jacob starts talking again. "do you think you can win nationals after this loss from regionals. Second place really really plummet New Direction reputation here at Mckinley". Rachel rolled her eyes before saying. "second place is nothing to he ashamed of, it just tell us that we need to work harder. And for our reputation, it still hasn't change".
Four hours ago:
Mike, matt, and sam walked into the boys locker room, talking until a group of jocks, along with karofsky and azimio, walked up toward the three, each holding large cups of slushie, and dumped the slushies at the three boys, making each jock laugh as they walked away, leaving matt, mike, and sam standing while covered in green slushie
Back to the present:
Jacob says. "i got good footage from the slushie attack". Rachel rolled her eyes before saying. "we are still people, we cannot let our lives be affected after we lost regionals. It is just a previlige to being in that competition".
Jacob: so you think you won't choke during nationals
Rachel makes a shock expression while staring at jacob. "i beg your pardon. Rachel berry does not choke. Yes I gets nervous and sometimes my anxiety gets the better in me, but one thing i do not do is choke. I never let my friends down". Jacob started giggling, making rachel have an uncomfortable expression. "you're cute when you get mad".
Rachel: oh god
Jacob: can we get a peak on you're costumes? hopefully to see some more skin
A hand fell onto jacob shoulder, and started squeezing hard. "you have cinco seconds to get out of this room. Or you'll know the wrath of an angry mexican". Jacob quickly grabbed his tech before running out of the music room. Rachel turn her head to santana and started giggling while clapping her hands
Santana bow infront of rachel before sitting down beside her. "glad i went to check on you. I swear that guy's gonna be a virgin till he's 40". She said, making rachel giggle before saying. "why do you wanna check on me?".
Santana: can't a girl check on the beautiful girl that stole my heart
Rachel smiled while blushing. Santana continues talking. "and also sue wanted me to hand you a message. A personal assistant is supposed to be at practice". Rachel makes a shock expression while rubbing her head. "oh god. Cheerio practice. I forgot".
Santana chuckled before saying. "it's ok. Since you are new and learning the schedule. And our lost a regionals, sue's gonna let it slide, but don't let it happened again".
Rachel: i'm gonna talk to her personally, saying it won't happened
Santana: so what's wrong anyway? from the entire time i've known you. You never are late for something, if anything, you show up ten minutes early
Rachel turns her head to look at the 2nd place trophy before saying. "i was just thinking about nationals". Santana sigh before putting an arm around rachel's, and says. "Estrella, we're gonna be fine. We have another chance this year".
Rachel: yeah, but... What if we fail, all our work for nothing. When we first sang at sectionals, it's one of my greatest memories i will always cherish. It's how we came together
Santana smiled before giving rachel a hug. "it's going to be ok. No matter what, we'll always be together. Just don't pressure yourself". She said before kissing the side of rachel's head. Not knowing Will was watching the two from the doorframe
He looks down before walking through the hallway and walked into the auditorium. Will walked up to the stage and stood in the middle of the stage. He notice the speaker on the piano, and pressed a button, shooting out music from the speaker. He was moving from the beat and started singing himself

The person spin in a circle while walking toward the stage, coming out of the dark, revealing a young women, with long straight blonde hair, wearing a blue button blouse, a leather jacket, and dark jeans

The music faded away, and Will stares at the girl with a smile. "holly". Holly started laughing before giving Will a hug. "oh man it's so good to see you. I couldn't believe when i got that email".
Will chuckled while staring at holly. He says. "you hungry?".

The two adults were sitting at a table across from each other. Holly was sipping some coffee before saying. "it was unbelievable when i saw that email. Look at you. I never pictured you with short hair".
Will laugh while drinking his water, and says. "well. It"s been years since i saw you. Even after... ". Will looks down, making holly look down while having a sympathy expression. "i am so sorry about kendra, and i am also sorry i didn't came to the funeral".
Will: hey. We all have different lives. I wanna talk about you, what have you been doing since high school
Holly smiled before saying. "well. We got something in common. I am also a teacher". Will makes a surprised expression while staring at holly, making her giggle. "yeah, shocking right?".
Will: yeah! uhh. What's you're major?
Holly shrugged while using a spoon to stir her coffee. "uhh, i also teach spanish. But i also teach biology. Sex Ed. Math. English. i even teach auto mechanic. Oh and i'm a yoga instructor part time". Will looks at holly with confusion, and says. "how many years were you in college to get those degrees".
Holly giggled before saying. "i am actually a substitute teacher. But it's fine, i can teach anything. Living the dream". Will chuckled along with holly before saying. "so you never had a steady teaching gig".
Holly waved her hand after sipping her coffee. "hey, it's fine. I am the best substitute teacher in the united states. I can go where i want and when i want. But enough about me, what's with this email about?".
Will: well. I am not only the school's spanish teacher, but i am also the glee club director. And just recently, carl dowell's showed up as one of the board members
Holly started coughing after taking another sip of her coffee. "holy shit!". Will slowly nodded. "didn't he had like a huge crush on kendra". Holly asked, and Will nodded quickly. "yeah, and still today. Even after she passed away, he's still bullying me".
Holly shook her head while dropping her spoon on the table, and lean back. "that's bullshit. Kendra passed away, you are a widow. He should finally move on, but no. He is still the bully he was at high school. You know he put his gum in my hair when we were in glee".
Will nodded. "and kendra helped you cut it out". Holly looked down while smiling. She shook her head and says. "so why does this have to do with me?".
Will: well. My glee club lost regionals, but we still have a shot at nationals. Carl is going after the kids, and if we lose nationals. He's turning the music room into a computer lab
Holly: oh hell no! that can't happened. That room has our memories when we sang in glee
Will: but if we win nationals, he won't have a reason to take the music room away from us, and give our budget back. But i need help to prepare the kids. You are the only other person i know who can help
Holly send a smirk before leaning over. "so you want my help. So i am like, a co-director". Will nodded with a smile. Holly lean back and message her chin. "i gotta think about it... YES!". Will sat up quickly, making holly laugh before shaking Will's hand. "you got yourself a helper". She said, making Will smile
The next day:
At Mckinley High, Will walked into the music room, seeing the glee club standing around while talking to each other. He clapped his hands and says. "Ok, guys. Have a seat, we got a couple of things i want to go over".
The group walked up to the bleachers and sat down. He walked up toward the whiteboard and grabbed a marker, and started writing on the board. "nationals". And he drew a line under the word before putting the cap back on and turned around. "ok. I know regionals didn't go the way we planned. But we got a second chance, nationals. This is the biggest competition in the U.S. We are going against 50 glee clubs across the states, and we need to be in our A game. We can't risk falling back like we did in regionals". Rachel looks down with a sad expression as Will continues talking. "and for that i have ask for help".
The music room door opened up, and holly, using a skateboard, rolled herself into the room and stopped right beside Will. "howdy partners". She said in a western accent
Will starts talking. "guys, this is glee royalty, holly holliday. She was a glee member i was in when i was a student here. And she sangs great". Puck sigh before saying. "Mr. Schue, do you really think we need help from a old timer".
Holly stares at puck as she pushed the shakeboard away. "you really think that way? well, this old timer still has some funk. ". She turn her head to Will and says. "hit it".
Will walked up to the piano and pressed a button on the speakers. Shooting out music from the speakers. Holly started moving from the beat before she started singing

The music faded away, and the glee club started clapping as holly gave each member a high five. Will walked up and gave holly a high five, making her laugh before turning around to look at puck. "still think i'm an old timer?". Puck chuckled before giving holly a high five
Will's apartment:
Holly, holding a suitcase, was standing infront of Will's shelf, look at different photo's. Seeing teenage Will with his parents. Another of New Direction win at sectionals. She stopped moving when she notice a photo of kendra and Will at their wedding, making her smile before yelling out. "you got some nice photo's. Is a picture of kendra the reason why you haven't had luck with girls?".
Will walked into the living room while laughing. He is holding a two sets of DVD disc. "hey, kendra will always be part of my life and i'm trying to be honest. Enough looking, i got the disc of sectionals and regionals. I figured you could help us by seeing how they did".
Will inserted one of the disc in the DVD player, and pressed play. Holly sat down and started watching sectionals and regionals as Will walked into the kitchen, and grabbed a wine bottle, and yelled out. "Wine?!".
Holly yelled out. "soda if you have it". Will, with confusion, put the wine bottle back into the fridge and grabbed two rootbeer cans from the fridge door
Will walked back into the living room, seeing holly watching the performances, and ask. "so what do you think. I mean we did great". Holly nodded before grabbing the remote and pressed paused. "those kids, were amazing, but i think i know what you can do".
Will sat down on the chair beside the couch, and says. "what?". Holly took a sip of her soda before saying. "well. Each kid sang a part of the songs".
Will: well i don't want to play favorites, so i give each kid a part
Holly nodded before saying. "i understand that, but remember when we perform when we were students? we had a solo in one of our songs. Remember? kendra had some solos". Will looks down and nodded. "yeah, i remember". She said
Holly: Will, having a solo can add depth and excitement to a song, especially when it fits well within the musical context. Trust me, if you want to win nationals, you have to add a solo for one of you're kids
Will: well i guess i can add a four song
Holly nodded with a smile. "there you go. Trust me, a solo can enhance your chance at nationals". Will sat up while saying. "the problem is, who? all my kids are talented and i can't just pick one because that would mean favoritism".
Holly moan while sipping soda and set it on the table. "we judge you're kids. I don't know them and i'll pick honestly". Will smiled while nodding. "that's not a bad idea, it'll be a harmless contest". Holly shrugged while smiling
The next day:
Back at Mckinley High. Holly and Will were standing in the teacher's lounge, using the copu machine to copy a sign up sheet
Emma, sue, and shannon were sitting beside a table, watching the two. Emma was stirring her coffee while talking. "so have you guys met holly yet? she seems nice". Sue looks at holly, and says. "um. She seems familiar to me. I just can't put my finger on it".
Emma looks back at Will, and says. "do you think their close? as in close close". Shannon makes a confused expression before saying. "i don't know, why are you interested?".
Emma shook her head quickly while pointing at her own chest. "i don't care. Just curious". She said while looking down, making sue and beiste have a confused expression
In the school hallway, Will pinned one of the sign up sheet on the school bulletin board before walking away with a smile
Kurt was staring at the sheet from across the hallway, and walked up and sign his name on the sheet
In the boys locker room, holly, with her eye's covered, taped one of the sheets at the end of one of the locker wall. She walked away just when puck walked up, wearing his football uniform. He shrugged before signing his name up
In the school library, mercedes wrote her name on the sign up sheet with a smile on her face
Back at the school bulletin board, rachel slowly grabbed the pen that is hanging beside the sign up sheet, and held it to the sheet, but dropped the pen and walked away with her head down
Auditorium:
Will and holly were sitting behind the desk while looking at the sign up sheet. "Kurt hudson, noah puckerman, mercedes jones, Sugar motta". Will says. "we got a hell of a list, kinda surprised rachel didn't sign up".
Holly shrugged before saying. "she probably don't have what it take's. Let's get the first one. Kurt hudson".
Kurt walked onto the stage with a smile before saying. "hi, i like to audition for the solo". Will nodded before saying. "let's show holly what you got". The music started coming out of the speakers, and kurt started singing

Santana slowly walks off of the stage. Holly sigh while looking at her piece of paper. "wow, i put myself in a corner, you never told me these kids were that talented". Will laugh before saying. "well. You better picked the winner"

Will was about to stand up until holly continues talking. "hey, Will. Thank you for letting me do this. This is the most fun i ever had". Will smiled and nodded. "no problem. I"ll see you back at my apartment". Holly nodded and says. "yup, and thanks again for letting me stay with you".
Will nodded before standing up and walked out of the auditorium and starts walking through the hallway until sue walk up from behind. "will. You are summoned to figgins office". Will quickly turned around with a confused expression
Figgins office:
Will and sue were sitting across from figgins, who was staring at Will. "William. You have to give me heads up when you get outside help".
Will slowly says. "i'm sorry, figgins. I just assumed since you don't really need permission to ask for a friend to fix a club up". Figgins cut Will off by saying. "that is not the issue, William. When you bring an ex sex offender to the school. You gotta give the school a heads up about that"
Will: What!! holly is not a sex offender
Figgins: not anymore. Sue?
Sue, with a guilty expression, was scratching her left ear. "sorry, will. I didn"t know figgin was in the room. Uhh, holly seemed really familiar and i finally remembered where i saw her. She was. Will slowly nodded. "sorry, figgins". Figgins took a deep breath before saying. "good. You can go now". Will stood up and walked out of the office while sue whispers. "sorry, Will".
At the football field, the cheerios were practicing jump ropes, with rachel standing by a bench, wearing her assistant uniform. She spoke through a megaphone. "Ok, everyone take 5. We'll continue with warm ups later". The cheerios stopped their workout and started walking around the field
Santana ran up toward rachel, with her gymbag. She dropped her bag and says. "sorry i'm late". Rachel whispers. "what do you mean late, you've been here this whole time". Santana smirked before saying. "i like you being the assistant, help us relax a little. I was at the audition for the solo at nationals. Where were you? i assumed you audition".
Rachel: No, you said you wanted to try, so i give you the glory
Santana: berry, my mexican third eye sees all. C'mon, what's wrong?
Rachel sigh before dropping her arms and say. "what if it was my fault that we lost regionals. We trained so hard and we suddenly lost". Santana sigh before guiding rachel to the bench, and the two sat down. "berry you are an amazing singer. You were born to have a solo".
Rachel: i know, but. I can't help but think that i am resposible
Santana smiled before pushing some of rachel's lock in the bar of her ear, and says. "estrella. You are not responsible, the warblers just took us by surprised. I see a great performer in you, and you said we have to believe in ourselves even before we had a shot a nationals".
Rachel looks back at santana and says. "it's easier to motivate others for next time, but not for myself. Sebastian really got into my head at regionals". Santana pulled rachel in for a hug. "don't listen to that estúpido. You can have that solo if you want, you just gotta turn away from your fears. Look why don't we head to my brother truck and get something to eat after practice to get you're mind off of nationals". Rachel slowly nodded before santana pulled her in for a hug
Will's apartment:
Will slowly opened his apartment door and walked in, seeing holly coming out of the kitchen, wearing an apron. "oh, hey, where have you been. I wanted to thank you by ma-".
Will cut holly off by saying. "holly. Are you even allowed in a school". Holly scoff while crossing her arms, and says. "i"m a substitute teacher, a school is where i work". Will put his hands on his hips while talking. "what were you thinking about when we were doing audition. Puck's muscles".
Holly makes a confused expression while saying. "what are you talking about?". Will angrily says. "you were a full time teacher at indiana". Holly makes a shock expression before looking down ashamed. Will says. "how could you lie to me, i was you're friend".
Holly held up her hands in defense before saying. "it isn't what you think. I'm sorry i didn't tell you. I was ashamed". Will crossed his hands and says. "from doing something with a boy and became a sex offender". Holly finally spoke up. "it was a mistake! look the boy was a senior, eighteen. Things were normal until he started failing my class, and he stayed after for extra credit, and it isn't that kind of extra credit. Yes he started flirting with me, but i didn't budge until he hand me his water, which i didn"t know was mixed with vodka and. Pills. Next thing i knew, i was in the backseat of his car with my pants down. With him laying beside him ". Will angry face started to fall
Holly: he then ask if i was gonna bring up his grade, but i said i wouldn't and was going to tell his parents. But he beat me to it, next thing i knew i was fired from the school. Spent 18 months in prison, good behavior. And was legally a sex offender
Will: didn't you tell anybody this
Holly slowly nodded before saying. "nobody believed me. Not the principal, or the parents who thought the sweet boy was the victim. Not even my parents believed me. I did some community service, and told everyone at indiana about what happened, and i was finally taken out of the registry list after months of suffering. Even then no other school would hire me, so to make sure this never happened. I became a substitute teacher, learning every major i can and don't spend atleast 2 months at a school so i wouldn"t get accused, like you are doing to me now". Holly turned around and pointed at her suitcase. "what's in that bag, is everything i own. Lost my home after i couldn't pay the mortage. So i just been moving around, finding some work".
Will: h-holly. I didn't know
Holly shook her head while untying her apron. "Why did i think this was going to be different? this is why i didn't come back. Was afraid of getting judge". She wrapped her apron in a ball, and looks back up to Will and says. "from my hours of looking. Pick mercedes. She is the only one with the biggest passion. Good luck at nationals". Before throwing the apron at Will, making him say. "holly. What are you doing?".
Holly grabbed her suitcase and walked up to the front door. "I don't know, But i shouldn't be somewhere i am clearly not welcome". Holly closed the door as she walked out in the hallway
Will slowly dropped the apron before walking into the kitchen, seeing a bowl filled with spaghetti, and italian bread. A photo was sat by the bowl, a picture of his teen self, kendra, and holly together
Coffee shop:
Rachel and santana walked into the shop. Rachel says. "sanny, i don't usually drink coffee". Santana stood in line while talking. "berry we have cheerleading practice in the morning. And if you're gonna be one of us, we're gonna need all the caffine to drink. And i need all the energy i need to handle sue". Rachel giggled before santana kissed her on the cheek, and walked back to the line
Rachel started looking around until she notice holly sitting by one of the tables, with a suitcase sitting beside her. Holly was looking through a magazine until she heard some footsteps. She look up to see rachel. "Hi, Ms. Holliday. Remember me".
Holly pointed at rachel with a smile. "you're that berry girl. Your teacher, Schuester told me so much about you. Saying your his top singers". Rachel smiled before saying. "yup, that's me. You did great about that solo competition for nationals, i'm sure whoever you guys pick will be perfect".
Holly scratched the back of her neck while looking down, and says. "uhh, yeah. Schue is taking over, i am no longer a faculty member at your school". Rachel makes a surprised expression before saying. "oh, did you get fire?". Holly shook her head and says. "no, but i figured i would one day".
Rachel turn her head to see santana waiting in line, looking through her phone. Rachel looks back at holly and sat down across from her. "something is troubling you, are you ok?".
Holly slowly shook her head before saying. "yeah i"m fine. It's just hard for me. Look, something happened before i came here that affected my life".
Rachel: is that why you can't work at a school full time?
Holly looks down before saying. "i can now, but. My past will always come back to destroy a good thing i have. Like now". Rachel looks down herself before saying. "to me, it sounds like your just making excuses. I don't wanna know what happened at your old school, but you don't want the same thing happening again. You will love the school and because of your fear, you think you"ll lose it".
Holly: maybe. Or maybe it"s because i get judge everywhere i go
Rachel: you shouldn't care what they think. You fixed a right, didn't you
Holly: all i did was just left it into a memory
Rachel: then live your life
Holly looks back at rachel before saying. "you don't know what happened to me". Rachel took a deep breath before saying. "then how about i tell you what happened to me. There was this guy name jesse, and we gone out. One night i found out he only dated me only to get my sectional setlist, and when i caught him he.. Did things to me on that night". Holly gave a shock expression with her moith opened, making rachel slowly nodded while talking. "and because of him is why i have to take pills for my night terrors and insomnia. But i learn to get over it. And now i am loved with people who wouldn't talked to me before glee. And i found the love of my life. You can't just keep hiding".
Holly: but what if i get hurt again?
Rachel: you're too old to be afraid of something. I was afraid to get back on stage after the incidents, because he was our competition, but i did. And we won
Holly was using a spoon to tap the end of her coffee cup, and says. "so is that why you don't wanna audition for the solo part for nationals?". Rachel shook her head. "that was before sectionals, and i still sing".
Holly: you still sing. With you're friends, you feel safe with them. But you don't feel comfortable to sing on your own infront of everyone
Rachel slowly looks down with a sad expression. "i feel like if i sing alone, i might cost us the chance for nationals. I'm nervous enough, and now if i get the solo i have to carry the song on my own".
Holly: rachel, doing a solo shows spirit, a chance to express yourself. That is you're key to winning nationals. Express yourself, and that pain will be easier. Do you want the solo?
Rachel looks back up and says. "i wanna try". Holly smiled before leaning over and says. "i see something in you, a singer that wants to express herself, but is too afraid you might let your team down. Follow your advice, and take a chance. Will said you brought New Direction back up on their feet when you lost regionals. Rachel you believe in everyone, but don't believe in yourself".
Rachel slowly says while looking down again. "i just don't want to ruin our chances for nationals". Holly shook her head before saying. "Will's wife, kendra, was also afraid. She done most of the solo's back when we were students. But she was also scared, and she still stepped foot on that stage, because she was a singer in heart. Just like you". Rachel smiled until santana walked up with two cups of coffee. "hey, Ms. Holliday. Didn't know the cool teachers hang out here". She said with a smile
Holly smiled and says. "well i am not like most teacher's". Rachel slowly stood up and says. "Well we gotta head to school. Uhh, see you during glee". Holly slowly nodded before saying. "yeah, see ya". Rachel smiled before santana guided rachel out of the coffee shop
Holly chuckled to herself before taking a sip of her coffee
Mckinley High:
Will walked into the music room, seeing the glee club sitting on the bleachers. He said. "alright people. Time to see who our winner is to perform a solo in nationals". The group started clapping together. Kurt whispers to sam. "i so got this".
Quinn looks around before asking. "wait. Where's Ms. Holliday?". Just then the music room door opened up, revealing holly as she walked into the room, pulling her suitcase with her. "right here, kiddos". Will smiled at holly before he continue talking. "Well. It was a tough competition, but we both made a decision. And the winner is-".
Rachel interrupts Will by saying. "uhh. Before you say the winner. I would like to audition for the solo even though you have your decision". Holly and santana smiled at rachel while Will slowly nodded. "yeah, sure, go ahead, rachel". Will and holly took a step back just as rachel stood up from the bleachers and walked up to the piano, and pressed a button on the speaker, shooting out music. And rachel slowly moved from the beat while holding her hands together. She slowly pulled her head up and started singing

Rachel pulls away from santana, and says. "wait. But you already picked the solo, i don't wanna steal that glory". Holly looks at the glee club and ask. "everyone. Let's take a vote. Who wan-". Every member says. "rachel". At the same time, making holly giggle
Will: well, there you have it, rachel
Kurt: i killed for a solo, but you have mad vocal cords
Mercedes: i hate to admit it, but we have a bigger shot for nationals with you as the solo
Santana looks at rachel, and says. "i would love to hear only you're voice on that stage in New York". Rachel smiled before leaning up and give santana a kiss, making the glee club cheer again
Will looks at holly and says. "can i talked to you for a minute?". Holly slowly nodded. The two teachers walked out of the music room, and Will closed the door behind them. He looks back at holly and says. "i wanna apologize from how i confront you last night, i'm sorry. I just didn't realize you were the victim".
Holly looks down with a smile, and says. "people always think the teenager is the victim. But to everyone surprised, i was the victim". Will rubbed the back of his neck before saying. "did you atleast try to clear your name".
Holly lean on the locker wall beside Will, and says. "i did. I served some time and removed the registry, but the past will always come back to haunt me. But, i'm just gonna move forward. I'm gonna find a full time teaching gig somewhere, i don't know where. But that's the beauty of learning at different subjects, i can get any gig. If they let me".
Will smiled while looking at holly, and says. "i was hoping you say that". Will took out a piece of paper and hands it to holly, making her confused as she unfolds the paper. "what"s this?".
Will: a new drama teaching position opened up, and i recommended you to figgins. Telling him all about the plays you were in, and your time in glee. And he said yes. If you want it, you can take it
Holly makes a shock expression before saying. "you"re kidding. Drama, too". Will laugh before saying. "holly, that class is meant for you. When i saw you singing in that class, i saw you back when we were students. I want my friend back". Holly shed a tear before giving Will a hug. "i can't believe it. Thank you so much, Will". She pulled away and looks at the paper. "i can't thank you enough". Will smiled before saying. "i just wanna help you. And looks like i did".
Holly squeal before hopping up and down, and says. "Will, i am forever in you're debt. Well i guess if i'm gonna be staying in lima again, i'm gonna have to stay with you until i get an apartment of my own. But for now, i better get ready for my first lesson. Goodbye, oh i mean. See you around the school". Before walking away, making Will laugh as he watches her walk away

Well there it is. Mckinley has a new teacher, holly holliday as the drama teacher, and rachel now has a solo for nationals. I was planning on just 3 songs, but i added a 4th song, a solo. I wanna say thank you all for staying here
