Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire is owned by George R.R Martin, Dan Weiss and David Benihoff, HBO MAX, and Warner Bros Discovery respectively. I own nothing. I am just a fan. This story is not meant to promote or propagate anything. It is just for fun and nothing else. It does not represent me or my beliefs.

Author's Note: Hello everyone, here we are with an interlude chapter. This chapter takes place before the events of chapter two. I am pleasantly surprised and humbled by the reception for this story. I am humbled by your heartfelt comments. Please read and review generously.

This chapter is an important one as Naruto and Daenerys Targaryen meet for the first time and Naruto gives the harshest taste of reality. I would like to say that Daenerys did not marry Khal Drogo in this story and Viserys is still alive… for however long that lasts. There will be a different path for Daenerys Targaryen and other characters. I have not figured out what her endgame will be as I am not sure how long this story will go yet. However, her ending will be more positive than the one we saw in the show.

Now, a reviewer asked if this story is Naruto/Sansa/Dany. Yes, but it will take some time to get there. If you have ideas for their love story, please do share. One thing in this story is Sansa is not head over heels in love with anyone. She is a wiser, calmer, observant woman due to lessons that Ned imparted upon her to prepare her for the reality of the world. And Daenerys Targaryen has an arc of her own to endure before she can reach the height of her own life. Also, some of the main characters are in their early 20s as this is an Alternate Universe story. Anyways, that is enough of my speech. Without further ado, let us begin.

Interlude One- The Truth is bitter and heavy

Daenerys Targaryen sat on a stool in front of a mirror, looking at herself as she was clad in a silk dress and wore a necklace that added to her otherworldly beauty. There was a sad look on her face as Daenerys was anxious and afraid. This was not a cause for any kind of celebration or joy. Normally, a woman would admire herself in the mirror wearing such a gorgeous dress and admiring the jewelry she wore as she basked in the beauty of her body. All this makeup, fancy jewelry, and expensive clothing was for something sinister and displeasing.

Daenerys and her brother Viserys were the last remnants of the Targaryen Dynasty that once ruled over Westeros due to the power of their dragons for 300 years. The Targaryens had come from the Valyrian Freehold and left Valyria due to the warnings of Daenys the Dreamer. The Dreamer saw the end of Valyria… and the Doom came for Valyria. The Targaryens had prepared in secret and with the power of three dragons, Aegon the Conqueror and his sister wives, Rhaenys and Visenya had conquered the majority of the Seven Kingdoms and had helped to usher in a new dynasty. The motives for why Aegon chose to conquer Westeros are still a mystery.

Years of infighting and a civil war between two factions had led to the dragons dying and the Targaryen Dynasty losing a lot of its power. It was a matter of time before they fell… and boy oh boy , they fell hard. The actions and decisions of the Mad King, Aerys Targaryen and his son Rhaegar had fractured the realm and brought an end to Targaryen rule. The merciless slaughter of his children and his wife had angered Dorne, as Elia Martell, Rhaegar's wife was dear to the ruling family of Dorne. Many had stated that Tywin Lannister had taken his revenge on Aerys and the Targaryens due to perceived slights he faced.

Regardless, Daenerys and Viserys had escaped due to the help of a loyal supporter, Willem Darry. Daenerys had little memories of Westeros. Her mother died in childbirth and she lived with Willem in a House with a Red Door and a Lemon Tree. One day, Willem died and the servants stole everything and kicked them out. Viserys and his sister lived on the run, dodging Robert Baratheon's assassins as they were turned away by many. Viserys had done his best to try to gain supports to take back the Iron Throne. There was a time when he had invited the Golden Company for a feast and promised them much in return for their aid. They simply ate his food and laughed in his face. And when her brother had to sell their mother's crown to survive, that is when all the joy left his face.

One day, they found themselves in the home of a rich man named Illyrio Mopatis who showered them gifts and promised to help them regain the Iron Throne. Viserys had brought into his promises… but Daenerys was not so sure. Illyrio had brought her brother an idea that if he wed his sister to Khal Drogo, the leader of the Dothraki Horde, they could use his men to take back the Iron Throne. Though Viserys did not wish to sell his sister to savages, he felt he had no other choice to take back what was theirs.

Daenerys did not want to marry that savage brute. She had no idea when Viserys had turned cruel. At first, he was kind and caring. And then, he started to hurt her, abuse her, threaten her. He had blamed her for their mother's death and the fall of their house. He always would tell her to take pride in their Targaryen heritage and that they were the last of a great house that would one day regain everything. His favorite phrase in threatening her would be- "You do not want to wake the dragon."

Her brother had turned cruel and was going mad with his lust and desire to reclaim what was once theirs. She had no memories of Westeros and had no idea what she wanted out of her life. Now, she was forced to resign herself to the fact that she was going to be a horselord's wife and possibly be raped and forced to be a broodmare. She had heard much about the Dothraki. They were savages who raped and pillaged. Illyrio Mopatis had told her about the Century of Blood where after Valyria fell, the Dothraki used this as an opportunity to kill and conquer. They had left much destruction and chaos in the wake of Valyria's end.

Her brother would never listen to her pleas. He had threated her to comply and promised to strike her if she would act out and be rebellious. For Viserys, going back to Westeros and taking back what was his was more important than anything. She had remembered his words well… and they cut her deeply.

"You must appear beautiful to him. His Dothraki screamers will help me win back out home, Dany. Remember, to go home, I would let all his men and women fuck you. Remember that, sweet sister of mine."

She clenched her fists as to how powerless she was. She had to resign herself to a fate that she did not wish for. She did not care about Westeros. She did not care about her Valyrian heritage at this moment. At this moment, she wanted to be free and she wanted someone to save her.

Suddenly, she had heard screams and shouts as she smelled fire, water, and lightning. Daenerys had left the manse she was living in and was mesmerized by the sight she saw. Viserys was next to her, shock and awe decorating his face.

The two of them bore witness to a spectacle that may have well been part of the era belonging to the Age of Heroes. There was a man who was fair-skinned and had golden hair and icy-blue eyes. There were whisker-like birthmarks on his cheeks, giving him a feral appearance. He might as well have looked feral in that moment. In that very moment, Khal Drogo was on his knees and covered in blood as he witnessed his loyal men being torn apart one by one in a devilish symphony of blood and guts. The blonde-haired man tore through them with his fists and an oddly shaped knife like how a hot knife tore through butter.

Daenerys' loyal protector and Sword Shield, Ser Jorah Mormont told her to look away as he appeared by her side. He had urged her to escape… but Daenerys would not leave. She was transfixed by the sight of glorious carnage in front of her. The Great Khal's men were being butchered apart and then the man did something was hands as their eyes bulged.

Out of literal thin air, clones of the man had appeared and did weird things with their hands. And then… her eyes bulged once again as streams of wind, fire, and water were unleashed as the Dothraki had been reduced to nothingness.

Khal Drogo was the last one left. Many of the Dothraki had actually fled in fear at the sight of the man in front of him, something that was unheard of. The Great Khal Drogo stood with his arakh in hand, ready to die a glorious death. Oh, he died gloriously all right.

Uzumaki Naruto had grown tired of playing. He instead used his superior speed and rushed forward as he lifted Khal Drogo into the air and literally tore him in two with his bare hands. Uzumaki Naruto, the blonde-haired warrior, let out a fierce cry of triumph as he tossed Khal Drogo's remains upon the ground. There was a look od surprise and shock on the Khal's face as the life faded from those eyes. Naruto then placed his hands inside the Khal's chest and pulled out his heart and crushed it.

Daenerys was on her knees as was Viserys. Jorah Mormont's sword was on the ground as he too fell to his knees. There was no way he could protect Daenerys from this brute of a warrior. What the three of them witnessed was an impossibility. Jorah Mormont doubted that even The Mountain That Rides was capable of such a feat of strength and fearsome awe. Gregor Clegane was an ant compared to the blonde.

The man's appearance had thrown Jorah for a loop. He had never heard of Robert Baratheon and Cersei Lannister having a child that looked like this. His looks were a perfect mix of Lannister beauty and Baratheon strength and power. His physique was muscled and aesthetic and conveyed power and wisdom. Daenerys saw the scars on his body and she cringed at the scar above his heart. She wondered how a man could survive such a blow like that. Little did Jorah Mormont know that this child had nothing to do with Robert and Cersei as he was not their child. Uzumaki Naruto had good parents, parents that were far better than what Cersei and Robert could amount to. He would be ashamed if he was related to them.

Daenerys gulped as Naruto walked closer to them. Viserys had cowered behind his sister as Jorah stood in front of them, his legs shaking. He held his sword in front of them, ready to die for Daenerys, the women he had come to care for and develop feelings for. There was no way he could win this fight, but perhaps he could buy them time to escape.

Naruto had appeared in front of Jorah and tossed his blade to the side with a finger. He then addressed Daenerys as he looked at her.

"It has been some time, Daenerys Targaryen. Come, let us talk. We have much to discuss about your future."

Viserys found himself inside of a corner of a room inside the manse, bound and gagged as Daenerys sat upon a chair, observing Naruto who seemed to be making something with the ingredients inside the manse. He was molding flower and certain vegetables together as he was muttering something and cursing all the same. He wiped sweat from his brow as he presented a bowl of what looked like aromatic liquid, noodles, and vegetables. Daenerys was cautious at this point… but she could not ignore the smell. It smelt like home, like warm memories, like a hug from a loved one.

Daenerys had first looked to Jorah Mormont who cautiously took a sip from the bowl with the spoon provided. After the first sip, he was in awe that soup could taste so good.

"This… this is amazing. Who taught you how to do this?"

Naruto smiled. "It's a secret. I cannot believe this place has no ramen. I am going to have to make some changes."

Jorah was confused by the name he mentioned… but he passed the bowl to Daenerys as he nodded it was safe. Daenerys was still cautious as she took a taste of her own. After she took her taste, she wiped a tear from her eye. It felt like she was experiencing the warmest memory of her life. She never thought she could experience such a thing like that again.

Naruto had nodded his head and smiled again at her. "When food is prepared with love and kindness… it brings the eater euphoria and joy. I am not going to lie. I actually enjoy making food for people."

Daenerys looked up at him and could not sense the hint of a lie or some sort of malicious intention. She slightly relaxed as she had to wonder who this man was and what his intentions were towards her. Jorah Mormont had told her that this man was someone he never heard of. His gifts and abilities were unfathomable; to move like lighting and the wind, and to crush bones and shatter skulls with ease. Not even the Mountain That Rides was capable of an iota of such feats.

Daenerys had to wonder if he was an assassin sent by the usurper. If he indeed was, she would not beg nor barter for her life. She would face death head on and hope to meet her mother in the afterlife. Naruto had sat down on a chair opposite her and simply smiled again.

"You do not need to fear me, Daenerys Targaryen. I am not here for your life. And yes… I don't work for that fat fuck named Robert Baratheon. I am my own man… and I do what I want."

Daenerys giggled for a moment as she felt that she could relax. Jorah loosened the grip on his weapon as Viserys lay there confused and wondering what was going on.

Daenerys spoke this time. "Then… why are you here?"

Naruto shrugged. "I am here to give you advice and present to you options… and maybe give you a chance to strive for something beyond yourself and your own desires. May I continue?"

"Please do."

Naruto spoke powerfully and clearly this time. "I am not sure what your brother has told you about your heritage and Westeros… but I am here to cut through the bullshit. Westeros is not waiting for the Targaryens. Westeros does not care for the Targaryens. It is true that the Targaryens conquered Westeros over 300 years ago with the help of dragons. Westeros is a cesspool that is not worth anything. If the Conqueror were still alive… we could determine why he chose to conquer Westeros. Alas, the truth died with him."

"Westeros never belonged to the Targaryens or to other men and women. Westeros was once populated by the Children of The Forest who lived in harmony and in peace with the land. They are an interesting group of individuals with interesting abilities. The First Men… and after much conflict and death, they signed a pact of peace. Then the Andals came and death followed the Children. They retreated into the forests. Who knows if they are still alive to this day. Shall I continue?"

Daenerys had nodded. This was something new to her. Perhaps her brother did not have all the answers.

"The Targaryens brought Fire and Blood to Westeros… and brought peace as well. They united Westeros into the Seven or Six Kingdoms, depending on who you ask. However, there were very few good Targaryens. The Targaryens fought bloody civil wars and even wars against the Faith. The Dance of the Dragons along with the Blackfyre Rebellions slowly weakened and crippled House Targaryen. And then Rhaegar and your father's actions were the final nail in the coffin. Do be weary of House Hightower, they did play a terrible during the Dance."

Jorah shifted uncomfortably and Daenerys noted this fact. "it is true, your grace. House Hightower is not to be trusted."

Naruto nodded as he spoke again, ignoring Viserys' angry grunts. "Ignore your brother, I am telling you the truth. Your brother was an idiot who thought he was a hero because of some prophecy… prophecy is for fools. All prophecy does is get you killed. And your father was a vile, cruel thing who enjoyed burning and raping people. Do you think you were made with love?"

Daenerys' blood chilled at this statement. "No… you are wrong… my father…"

Daenerys turned her head to look at Viserys, who was angry. She looked to Jorah who had his head on the ground. And then she looked at Naruto… who shook his head in sadness.

"Queen Rhaella deserved better. In the end, she and Princess Elia died worthless deaths. Your mother suffered greatly in life. She was forced to marry a man who held no affection for her. I fucking hate prophecy. Who cares what some witch from the woods says? No one in this world has any idea what the fuck is going to happen to them. Prophecy is for suckers. Those who believe in prophecy are doomed to fail."

"As of this point… you are nothing but a pawn. You are being used for the interests of others. You have no idea what it is you truly desire."

Daenerys had no idea what to think. She had learned so much in one sitting. She had no idea what to believe. She ignored her brother's maddening grunts as she tried to make sense of it all. Viserys had ranted and raved about the glory of House Targaryen, of dragons, of their family, and of Westeros. It was true that she had no idea what she wanted for her life. She was living in the shadow and presence of her brother… and she could tell he was going mad. She had no idea what to do.

Daenerys then looked at Naruto and spoke again. "Let us say for one moment that I choose to believe everything you just said to me. Why should I trust you? You do not know me and you do not know my family? What purpose do you have in telling me all of this? What is it that you want in return?"

Naruto shrugged. "I am here to educate you and offer you a path. You are right, I owe you nothing. I have been watching you for a long time. My dear friend tells me I should just wipe you off the face of the planet and go on my merry way. However, I believe that everyone deserves a chance to be better than what they are."

"I feel sorry not for Rhaegar and Aerys… but for Princess Elia and her children. Rhaenys was stabbed to death fifty times. Aegon's head was bashed against a wall… and covered in remains, Gregor Clegane raped Elia Martell and split her in half with his Greatsword. I just cannot ignore this. Ned Stark protested these deaths… but he did nothing about it. Robert Baratheon strode above corpses as he sat on his shiny new throne."

"I don't like Tywin Lannister. I recognize him for who he is; a filthy bully. He will get what is coming to him eventually. To be honest, I could take King's Landing right now if I wanted to. And maybe one day if there is no one worthy to rule Westeros, I just might. For now, I like what I do."

Daenerys nodded. "I don't doubt that there is anyone who could match you in strength and power. So… what is it you want with me now?"

"Well, it is simple really. One, you could go to King's Landing and bring Fire and Blood to your enemies and sit on the Iron Throne as you conquer the kingdoms. You have dragon eggs… I am sure you will figure out a way to hatch them. Or, you could stay in Essos and figure out a way to help the people. There are people here who are starving and in chains. There are people here who are enslaved and forced to be a part of the flesh for cash business. I am not saying it would be easy to free people from their chains. I am just saying that you have an option to live your life. You can choose to one day be a conqueror or a protector of the innocent. The choice will be up to you to make. Trust no one, not even myself. You must make your own path and live with the consequences, good or bad."

Naruto walked outside the manse as he looked to the sky. Jorah had dragged Viserys with him as they saw Naruto move his hands again. In the sky, they saw a blade made of fire that crashed into the ground and created a shockwave as the ground quaked. Apart from Naruto… the rest of them fell to the ground as Daenerys forced herself to her feet. Something had pulsed in her mind as the smoke cleared and she looked upon the thing that fell from the sky. It was a weapon… a sword that was pitch black and emanating intense heat and flames that could consume life. For some reason, Daenerys felt drawn to the blade as she stepped closer.

Naruto spoke again, this time with pride. "Behold, the lost sword of a fallen dynasty. It has been remade and reborn. Behold, the Sword of the Unchained Warrior, Blackfyre!"

Jorah was shocked. "Impossible… Blackfyre was lost over half a century ago. No Valyrian Steel weapon can do that."

Naruto smiled. "it's a secret."

Jorah's eyes had widened. The man in front of him had found Blackfyre and reshaped it. It was unheard of to transform Valyrian Steel into something like this. Who was this man? As for Viserys, he was chomping at the bit to possess such a weapon. With such a weapon at his disposal, he could reclaim the Seven Kingdoms and bend all to his will.

Daenerys has walked closer and closer. She tried to touch Blackfyre… only to find herself on her knees, clutching her hand that was in pain. Jorah was by her side in that moment.

"My Queen… are you all right?"

In that moment… Daenerys could hear loud words in her mind.

"UNWORTHY… WEAK… MONSTER… UNWORTHY!"

Naruto chuckled. "Did you think it would be that easy? Blackfyre is no longer a rare Valyrian Steel weapon. Blackfyre is a Superweapon now. Blackfyre only obeys and listens to those it finds worthy. Blackfyre will betray and turn against anyone it finds lacking and worthless. It is a mighty weapon that can be used as a tool to build… or a weapon for carnage. Blackfyre has very few equals that can stand against it."

Daenerys stood up with a new goal and desire in her mind. "How… how do I make myself worthy to wield it?"

Naruto shrugged. "You will need intense training. You will need to train your body and your mind. You will need to master and control both. Until there is someone that is worthy… Blackfyre will remain here, not in need of anyone's protection. If you wish to wield it… prove yourself worthy of it."

"I have to go now. I am needed someplace else." As Naruto was leaving… Daenerys spoke again.

"Wait… when you will come back? How… how will I find you?"

Naruto shrugged. "Don't worry, I will be watching you. You should worry about what your next step is in life. Look at your brother as a reminder of what not to do. Your brother might change into a good person… or not. Or maybe he will get himself killed. The possibilities are endless. Now, if you ever find yourselves in Westeros… you may find it very different than the image you have conjured in your mind."

Naruto disappeared in a show of leaves as three of them were left dumb. Daenerys had turned to Blackfyre and vowed to wield it. She would find her path and be her own master. She would never live under her brother's shadow again.

"Naruto… just who are you?"
