"You're going out?" Clutch asks, standing in front of Sonic and Sally as Breezie wraps her arms around Clutch's arm.
"Yeah. We'll be out somewhere quieter." Sonic bluntly answers while walking with Sally.
"Uh, Sonic, who's that?" Sally asks while nervous.
"The daddy of this joint." Sonic answered.
"Oh don't be like that, Sonic. I'm Clutch the Opossum, the father to all children in this mansion." Clutch introduces himself to Sally while raising his hand.
Sally can tell and then look at Breezie.
"Ah. This is Breezie the Hedgehog, my daughter." Clutch also introduces Breezie to Sally.
"That's right. I hope daddy isn't giving you any trouble." Breezie asks with a cheery smile.
"N- Not really. I'm honoured to stay here." Sally quickly bows and waves with a nervous smile.
"You don't have to be too kind, Princess Sally." Clutch said with a sinister smile.
Sonic and Sally grunts while moving away.
"Bye, Sonic! Bye, Sally!" Breezie calls while waving.
"Sonic, who are these people?" Sally asks with discomfort.
"Besides Mighty and Ray, I don't know." Sonic said.
With Sonic and Sally gone, Clutch puts on a fur coat and a bucket hat while Breezie watches the man who raised her leave.
"Breezie, how's work with the doctor?"
"Going as smoothly as planned." Breezie smirks.
"Good. With phase 1 and 2 completed, it's time for phase 3: awaken the 7th chaos emerald. Once gathering all 6 of them, the 7th will manifest itself by granting one's wish." Clutch grins, remembering that Sonic's potential is infinite.
"Ooh!~ You're a bad daddy." Breezie is impressed with her father's plans.
"And you're my bad daughter." Clutch laughs while rubbing Breezie's face out of fatherly love.
Outside at the flower field, the atmosphere is more greener than the usual areas as Sonic is holding a flower and smells it.
"Feeling better?" Sally asks while making something out of flowers.
"Yeah. Thanks, Sal." Sonic pulls up his thumb with a smile.
"That's great. You know, being a princess is hard work, but I am willing to lead my people as well as my brother."
"You have a brother?" Sonic is curious.
"Yeah. Elias has gone missing after Eggman's attack and now my kingdom is in danger. I just hope my father's okay…" Sally frowns while lowering the flowers.
"I'm sure he is." Said Sonic.
"Huh?"
"He's the king, he can kick Eggman's butt. Trust me." Sonic had a feeling Sally's father is the type that can fight back.
"You don't know anything. But I guess you're right, father's strong enough to fight back." Sally finishes her flower crown and then turns towards Sonic. "From what I can tell, you're personally against Eggman. It's brave but dumb to go after this guy."
"I have my reasons. I'm doing this to fight and have fun." Sonic said his reason.
"Also, I wanna thank you for keeping Bunnie safe. If she recklessly goes out to face Eggman to find me, then I don't want to know what'll happen to her." Sally fears the scenario if Sonic wasn't around.
Sonic can tell Sally is worried about her friends and family as much as Sonic worries about them.
Now he's reminded that his little sister had gone missing for a while and is unsure what happened to his parents.
A gun clicking sound has both Sonic and Sally's attention as they gasp.
"Tch! If only my gun was quieter." A purple and white furred jerboa in a stetson hat growls while being caught.
"Who are you!?" Sonic blocks Sally while raising his arms.
"None of your business! Now prepare yourselves!" The jerboa boy fires his revolver gun as Sonic pushes Sally while diving, causing the petals to fly as the bullets ruin the flowers.
"We need to run, now!" Sally warns while her and Sonic dashes forward as more bullets fire at the duo.
As Sonic grabs Sally via bridal carry, Sonic dashes before he sees behind the sun is a jerboa bouncing as high as he could with his tail while firing more bullets, leading Sonic to move left and right while dashing.
"Just what the heck is wrong with that guy!?" Sonic exclaimed while still running.
"A wanted criminal!? That's Nack the Weasel!?" Sally gasps after recognising the jerboa's appearance.
"Fang the Sniper to you, princess!" Fang the Sniper, the jerboa, dives as he lands in front of Sonic, causing Sonic to slide as he exclaims.
As Fang misses a kick, Sonic trips Fang as he stands back up and continues running as fast as he could.
"Damn it! You little blue needlemouse! Hand over the chaos emeralds!" Fang yelled while hopping and then ran at the same speed as Sonic.
Blue and purple are moving like cheetahs as Sonic grunts, only for a gun to be put on Sally's head as Sally herself gasps.
"Nighty night, princess!" Fang cackles while placing his finger on a trigger.
"No you don't!" Sonic swings Sally as he lets Sally kick the gun as Fang exclaims.
"Sonic!?" Sally shrieked.
"No need to thank me, Sal!" Sonic giggles.
"Why you!" Fang then barges Sonic as Sonic is struggling to go forward as both Sonic and Fang try to stop as they slide.
Luckily for Fang, he stops, but for Sonic, he and Sally are yelling while Sonic is still sliding forward, leading him to fall off a cliff as he and Sally scream.
"Heh. Not so tough now, hedgehog." Fang chuckles while picking up his gun.
Little did he know, Sonic still has the chaos emeralds as Fang grunts and then punches the ground.
"Dang it! Just my luck… I need to find the emerald and that way, the money will be mine!" Fang runs off as he leaves the cliff.
At the cliff, a large waterfall is found with unknown pillars as a large temple is below.
Holding onto a stick outside of a waterfall, Sonic is grabbing it as well as Sally with the other hand, leading Sonic to gulp and look at Sally.
"Um…"
"What's wrong, Sonic!?" Sally called.
"I don't know… Are you okay with water?" Sonic asked.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"It's just that… I can't swim." Sonic reveals his truth after seeing a large waterfall in front of him.
"Seriously? You're a hedgehog!" Sally points out.
"I know! But you see, ever since my swimming lesson, I sink, even on my repeated tries! I just can't swim!" Sonic explained.
Sally can see why Sonic is uncomfortable when there's a waterfall near the two of them, even though Sally is avoiding her dress to be soaked.
What catches Sally's attention is a temple that looks to be ancient as it's surrounded by water.
In her eyes, she sees a green flash in her eyes as she catches a glimpse of a certain gemstone.
"Sonic! There's a chaos emerald in there!" Sally shouts.
"Seriously!?" Sonic halts with surprise.
"Yeah! Inside a temple!" Sally points at the same temple that she found.
This causes Sonic to grin and let go of the stick, causing the duo to fall as Sally screams.
One hop and another on different sticks and stones as Sonic finally lands by the entrance.
"So this is where the chaos emerald's at, huh?" Sonic lets go of Sally and walks forward towards the temple.
"Yeah. The Labyrinth. We need to be careful." Sally nods while giving out a warning.
"Don't worry, I'm used to all this." Sonic rushes into the temple as Sally follows, leading the duo to enter inside an ancient temple uninvited.
Behind is Fang, walking forward and stare at the temple with a smirk.
"There you are. Come to papa!" Fang laughs while rushing into the temple building in order to gain what he's after.
Labyrinth
Inside a temple, moss and plant vines are all over the structure and the murals are shown to be left in a dark building with some lights to show from the fire torches.
"Man, talk about being damp and rotten." Sonic speaks out his feelings for this building
"I don't think so… It's rustic. The ruins are so old that I'm not sure who built that." Sally points out as she feels the owl head on the wall. "The chaos emerald's nearby. Let's hope no one's here."
Sonic nods while running and hopping up until he reaches a dead end.
As the door opens to Sonic's surprise, a splash is heard as Sonic sees Sally's clothes and crown on the ground as Sally herself dries up.
"Ahem. Put some clothes on." Sonic said while walking, looking away from Sally.
"You're the one to talk with just your gloves and shoes." Sally calls back while smirking while putting on her clothes.
More and more contraptions are being pressed with Sonic doing the land and Sally doing the underwater while the temple is empty.
Finally, they arrive at the green emerald's pillar.
"We're here." Sally is joyful that the chaos emerald is found.
"Sweet!"
"Huh? You sound different." Sally stops while looking at Sonic.
"I didn't say anything." Sonic shrugs his shoulders as he's confused.
To their right is a driller robot, Grounder, who was rubbing his drill hands with excitement after finding the chaos emerald in the temple.
"Boss! I found the chaos emerald!"
[Good. Take it before that blue hedgehog shows up.] Eggman's voice called through Grounder's speakers.
"Sure thing!" As Grounder hangs up, he turns around and then stops. "Um, do you mind!?"
"Sorry, but we were here first." Said Sonic while approaching the emerald.
To Sally's shock, a needle is above Sonic as she yells "Sonic!"
What catches Sonic off guard is a needle above him until a crash causes the stairs to collapse, leading Sonic and the Egg Mobile with a needle to be covered by smoke.
"That's right! You fell right into my trap!" Grounder laughs, jumping with joy.
"I see another one of Eggman's robots sent another toy to stop me. Sorry pal, but it ain't working this time!" Sonic leaps from the smoke, revealed to have a cut on his stomach as he barely dodged the needle on the Egg Mobile.
Sally is surprised to see Sonic making it out like no one has and then yanks the chaos emerald while standing on a pillar.
"Heh. 4 emeralds caught, 3 to go." Sonic pulls a grin while jumping in front of Grounder.
"Wh- What!? But how!?" Grounder is moving backwards in fear after he destroyed the Egg Mobile by attempting to ambush Sonic.
"Simple, you underground dweller, I'm Sonic the Hedgehog!" Sonic raises his finger and then dive as he punches Grounder's face as Grounder himself spins and crashes.
"Sonic? How did you?" Sally rushes while helping Sonic stand straight.
"It hurts, but I can still fight. How's that for being too slow?" Sonic is still smiling while holding his stomach after managing to get the 4th chaos emerald.
"Ugh! Burrobots! Get the emerald!" Grounder ordered as a horde of Burrobots, robot moles with driller mouths, pops out as they surround Sonic and Sally.
As Sonic boots one and Sally picks up a broken needle and swings it like a sword and stabs the robots, Sonic and Sally are able to face a number of robots as Grounder regrets sending his brothers out to get a hedgehog and a chipmunk.
"I guess I'm not too slow after all." Sonic sighs in relief.
"Yeah. In the end, he's just another one of Eggman's robots." Sally finally stands along with Sonic while smiling at him.
After that, both Sonic and Sally stand on the robots out of pride as Grounder panics and crawls backwards with Sonic folding his arms with a smug grin and Sally pointing down at Grounder.
"Game over, Egghead." Sonic and Sally said directly towards the speakers while cornering Grounder.
[Grr… Nicky, you little brat! How dare you ruin my plans! This is why I should've taken you with me if it weren't for that explosion!] Eggman growls as rage seethes out.
"B- Boss! Can I retreat?" Grounder asks nervously.
[Grounder… Get the emerald and then you retreat!] Eggman ordered.
"Uh oh." Grounder realised that his boss' orders are leading him to his destruction, causing him to zoom away as his wheels are spinning at a rapid pace.
A light is in front of Grounder as he cheers for freedom.
Unfortunately, a purple dash zigzags its way, tearing Grounder's body apart as Grounder exclaims out of shock.
To Sonic and Sally's shock, Fang has returned as he's carrying a white emerald with a wider grin.
"Hello, kids." Fang chuckles while spinning his revolver.
"You again!" Sonic is on guard as well as Sally while both of them are glaring at the same jerboa that's been hunting them down just for the chaos emeralds.
"An ordinary boy and a princess. Gee, you two need to get a room because I can't have little kids playing dating here." Fang groans as he smirks with a gun towards Sonic and Sally.
"Move! As a princess, I command you to move over at once!" Sally orders.
"Okay. But first, hand over the chaos emeralds." Fang taunts while waving his gun.
"No way! Finder's keepers!" Sonic concludes his choice.
"Then loser's weepers." Fang is now at the point of pulling a trigger until a beep happens. "Aw sweet! She's here!"
"Who?"
"My Marvelous Queen!" Fang raises his arms while celebrating the arrival of the 'Marvelous Queen.'
Appearing in front of Sonic and Sally is a yellow aero bike that is slowly going down towards Fang himself.
"With this baby, I can easily find the emeralds. Well well, looks like your road ends here!" Fang cackles while preparing his vehicle.
"Sal, get Mighty, Ray and Bunnie." Sonic said while raising his fists.
"But what about you?" Sally asks out of worry.
"I'll be fine. I got this." Sonic is prepared for the worst, even if he's not in great condition.
"Ah ah ah, can't let you do that. You two are mine!" Fang revs his engine while preparing to beat both Sonic and Sally to a pulp.
Sonic is calm about this as he smirks.
Sally is worried that Sonic is getting himself hurt.
Fang grins while revving his engine.

"Come here!" Fang yells while his Marvelous Queen boosts towards the duo.
Sonic then pushes Sally and jumps onto an aero bike while catching Fang off guard.
"What the!?"
"Come on! You're fighting me!" Sonic is prepared for the worst as he and Fang are out of the Labyrinth temple and boost away from the sea while charging as fast as they could.
Sally realises that time is running out and Sonic is injured to the point that he's about to be killed.
Sally hastily runs from the temple, leaving Grounder's body in pieces as Grounder himself groans.
"Great. I need to get repaired for this."
Back at the mansion, Sally bangs the door open while rushing towards Mighty, Ray and Bunnie as she pants.
"What's wrong, Sal?" Bunnie asks.
"Yeah. Are you sweating?" Mighty asked.
"It's Sonic! He's being attacked by Nack the Weasel, who changed his name to Fang the Sniper!" Sally explained as she panicked.
"Who?" Ray is confused by the name.
"The infamous jerboa criminal. That means Mr. Sonic is in grave danger!" Bunnie gasped in shock, realising Sonic is in a territory that shouldn't have been stepped on.
"Hmph! Then let's find him and take that guy down!" Mighty is prepared for this by punching his own palm.
"It's not easy. Mighty, Ray, I know you guys never met the guy, but he's a dangerous criminal. All you need to do is to save Sonic and get out of there." Sally warned.
"No, Sally. We're fighting. He's our friend and we can't let that guy hurt Sonic like that!" Ray shakes his head and is ready to face something Sonic has faced earlier.
"I agree with Ray. If he dares hurt our friend, he's getting a butt whooping!" Mighty nods.
"Sal. This is Sonic we're talking about. What if he's actually real. That means Team Freedom is back and we have a chance to defeat Dr. Eggman once and for all." Bunnie calmly said as Sally found out Sonic's determination and protective nature.
He may not be described perfectly but in the end, he is Sonic the Hedgehog.
"Alright. We're going. Save Sonic and beat 'Fang the Sniper.' After that, get the chaos emeralds and defeat Eggman." Sally concludes while raising her hand.
"Heck yeah!" Mighty places his hand on Sally's hand.
"Alright! Let's do it!" Ray cheers while doing the same on Mighty's hand.
"Alrighty!" Bunnie does the same on top of Ray's hand.
"Alright, Team Freedom! Operation Supersonic is a go! Let's go!" Sally yells while rushing out of the mansion along with Mighty, Ray and Bunnie.
Sonic did a lot for them, so it's their turn to save Sonic's life.
