William looked around. To find himself back in the chair in the hall. He could only assume he'd walked back to the hall in daze.

William's head was still spinning. At what he'd seen. The billionaire and his wife on the sofa. Kissing behind his back. Then, Xander's words to him in the kitchen. About Buffy sending him signals. About his wife being open. To possibly cheating on him.

It couldn't be? Could it? Xander had to be lying? Wasn't he?

William turned his head. To see Buffy and Xander had yet again taken up positions on the sofa. But this time, they'd switched sides.

Now, Buffy was on the right. His wife was holding her champagne glass in her left hand. Her dress was hiked up to her thigh. Displaying her tanned golden legs. Her right hand was supporting her head. Which was bent at an angle.

Xander, meanwhile, was holding his champagne glass in his right hand. His left hand was on the sofa behind Buffy. Their bodies were mirroring each other. Their legs were brushing. The champagne glasses in their hands were inches apart. Nearly filled to the brim.

The champagne bottles were on the table. In a bucket of ice.

Again, it was the billionaire who was doing most of the talking. His wife, meanwhile, was chiming in from time to time. And nodding.

William had no idea about the topic of conversation. Travel? Art? Business?

When Xander said something, Buffy seemed to consider it. She raised her champagne glass a little. As if conceding the point.

Now, the billionaire and his wife smiled. And leaned towards each other.

William blinked. Unable to believe his eyes.

Were Buffy and Xander going to kiss? Right in front of him?

William now leaned forward. But before he could say anything, they'd clinked their glasses together. And raised the glasses to their lips.

Buffy's sip was dainty. His wife merely wet her lips. But Xander emptied his glass entirely.

William let out a shaky breath.

"Come on Buff," Xander said. The billionaire was now regarding his wife with interest. "We both know you can do a lot better than that."

Buffy now scoffed and shook her head.

"Lame," she said. Dryly.

"What?" he asked.

"You," she said. Pointedly. "Trying to get me tipsy."

"Is that what I'm doing?" he asked.

"Isn't it?" she asked.

"Maybe," he said. Shrugging.

William already knew she wasn't going to back down from the challenge. Buffy now tipped her head back and downed the rest of the champagne in one go. Now, she placed the glass on the table in front of her. Then, sitting back, threw one leg over the other. As if to say 'how do you like me now.'

Xander now grinned. Giving Buffy's long, smooth legs the once over.

Finally, he seemed to take notice of William.

"You okay there, pal?" he asked.

William didn't know when it happened. When Xander's left hand had moved to the small of Buffy's back. His wife was making no protest.

"Yeah," William said.

"You know, I'm really glad the three of us could do this," Xander said. "And I'm not just saying that."

"We are too," Buffy said. "Right Will?"

"Yeah," he said. Again.

"I think this whole experience can bring the both of you closer together," Xander said. "Really strengthen your marriage."

What? William thought. Strengthen the marriage? How?

"I hope so," Buffy said.

"I do," Xander said. "Which is why I think it's time for you two to be honest with each other."

"I agree," Buffy said. Giving William a look.

William yet again found himself utterly baffled.

Honest? About what?

"Why don't you go first, Buff?" Xander suggested. "Let's really clear the air. About what happened the night we met."

"Right," Buffy said. She now exhaled deeply. "That was…intense."

"There's a word for it," Xander said.

"Shut up!" Buffy said. Though she gave him a little half smile.

"Isn't there something you'd like to say to William?" Xander asked.

Buffy now grew nervous. Fidgety.

"The thing is…" Buffy began. Then halted.

"What?" William asked.

"You need to be honest Buff," Xander said.

William now shot Xander a dark look. But Xander was paying him no mind.

"Well," Buffy said. She interlocked her fingers. "I… might not have… been completely honest… about what happened that night."

"Meaning?" William asked.

Buffy now sighed.

"Well?" William asked. "Spit it out, luv."

"Well," Buffy said. Looking a little embarrassed.

What happened that night…

The three of them were standing in the VIP section of the nightclub.

The area was roped off. On the first floor. Overlooking the entire bar.

William had been bursting at the seams for the past half hour. He was in desperate need of going to the bathroom.

"I'll be right back, yeah?" he said. To Buffy.

"Sure thing, honey," his wife said. Sweetly.

The billionaire gave him a thumbs up.

Xander waited for a few seconds. He looked over his shoulder. To make William was gone. Now, he apprised Buffy out of the corner of his eye. It was the moment he'd been waiting for all evening. He decided to waste no time.

"I thought he'd never leave," Xander said. His tongue squarely embedded in his cheek.

"Shut up," Buffy said. She was looking straight ahead. But Xander could see a little smile at the corner of her mouth.

"You know you're just my type," Xander declared. "If I had one, I mean. You would be."

Buffy now turned to Xander.

"Excuse me?" she said. Raising her eyebrows in unison.

"You're smart and fun," Xander said. "And sexy as hell."

Buffy now folded her hands across herself.

"And?" she asked.

"I just think you and I should get to know each other a little better Buff," Xander said. Suggestively. "Someplace more private, I mean."

Buffy now cocked her head.

"More private?" she asked.

She looked around. It was just the two of them in the VIP area.

"It seems pretty private to me," Buffy said. Peevishly.

"Someplace classier I mean," Xander said. "Without all these…distractions."

"Distractions," Buffy repeated.

Xander nodded.

"And I assume you have such a fascination location in mind?" she asked. Skeptically.

"My Penthouse," Xander said. Stepping forward.

Buffy found herself taken aback. At his bluntness. She stepped back a little.

"I just got a Monet on loan from The British Museum," Xander said. "It's still in the crate."

A Monet? That got Buffy's attention.

"And there's a 50-year-old bottle of champagne that I'm simply dying to open," he said. "It's on ice. Waiting for us."

Buffy now bit her lip. Xander could see she was tempted. And not just by the Monet either.

"And my husband?" Buffy asked. Pointedly. "Is he invited to this little soiree?"

Xander now considered it.

"I think not," the billionaire said.

"No?" she asked. "May I ask why?"

"He might… get in the way," Xander said.

"The way of?" Buffy enquired.

"You and I," Xander said. "Spending some…quality time together."

"Meaning?" Buffy asked.

"A private unveiling," Xander said. "You, me and the Monet. And some champagne of course."

"And then?" Buffy asked.

"I'd love to get your thoughts on it," Xander said.

"Would you?" she asked.

"Nothing like a healthy, spirited discussion," Xander said. "That's what I always say."

"A naked discussion?" Buffy queried.

The billionaire now clucked his tongue. Disapprovingly.

"Now Buff," he said. Shaking his head. "You've got to find a more creative way to think about things." the billionaire said.

"And I assume you have?" Buffy asked.

Xander nodded. Then took a beat.

"We take in the view from the master bedroom," Xander said.

"Oh that's real creative," Buffy said. Scoffing.

"It's the most spectacular view in the city," Xander said. "Trust me."

Now, Xander paused.

"And then?" she asked. Despite herself.

Now, Xander smiled.

"We return to the hall," the billionaire said. "Where the spirited discussion continues. For a little bit."

That surprised Buffy.

"Finally, I ask if you wanna dance," Xander said.

"And do I?" Buffy asked.

"You do," Xander confirmed. "But then we've been dancing all evening. Haven't we, Buff?"

Buffy said nothing.

"And then we go into my bedroom," Xander said. "Where you give me a lap dance."

Buffy blinked.

Xander now grinned.

"Gotcha," he said.

Buffy wasn't sure what to believe. Was he joking? Or serious? She wasn't sure.

"You bastard," Buffy said. She punched Xander in the chest. Playfully. Now, the billionaire smirked and stepped back.

Then, she noticed William. Who had returned from the bathroom.

"Will," Buffy said. "We were just talking about a nightcap. At Xander's place."
