Here we are at Chapter 2. It took a while for me to get this done and be satisfied with it. The time has come to Yukitsuki to enter the Royal Academy. I do not own Code Vein. They belong to Bandai Namco. I only own my OCs. Here's chapter 2. Enjoy.
Chapter 2: First Day Encounters
The time has finally come. In a carriage nearing the kingdom's capital, Yukitsuki passes her time with reading a book.
"Milady, we've reached the capital," her maid, Carol, says.
Yukitsuki looks up from her book out the carriage window. She spots the tall capital walls before them.
"Once we've entered the city, we'll head straight for the Royal Academy so we can unload your luggage and get you settled in. The new term will begin tomorrow. The school has dorms for the students and a separate dorm for their servants. However, servants aren't allowed to be with their charges while on school grounds. This is to prevent some from looking down on others by having more servants than the latter. However, should an emergency ever come up, know that I will do my best to assist you, Milady," Carol explains.
"Thank you, Carol. I know. Is there anything or anyone I should be aware of while at the academy?" Yukitsuki asks.
"Well, for one, the princess herself will be attending the academy this year at the same grade as you. It would be wise not to antagonize her. I've heard plenty of stories of Her Highness' kindness, but she is still royalty. Many eyes will be on her. However, if you are able to develop a positive relationship with her, that will add an extra shield to protect you should you need it. I also heard that this year will include a number of exchange students, primarily from the Dragon Alliance as a show of friendship between the two nations. Some of those students may be other species such as dragonewts or beast kind. However, I don't believe that should be too much of an issue for you. Your fourth mother is the Dragon Alliance's princess after all. Even if you don't share her blood, she is Ser Fuyumi's mate, which makes you her child as well. Some may try to get close to you, from both nations, due to your standing," Carol adds.
"While others will ostracize me. Mother explained it to me already," Yukitsuki notes.
"Yes, but I believe you'll be fine. Just try to make some friends, Milady. And... perhaps smile a bit more," the maid scratches her cheek.
That's always been an issue for Yukitsuki. Her caretakers always worried about that. They enter the city with her escort with no issues. Bearing the Crystalglove family crest on the carriage certainly helped. In the city, people were practically everywhere. Even if they didn't go through the shopping district, the road was still busy. As expected of the capital. Soon enough, Yukitsuki spots a large gate before them. Behind that is the Royal Academy. The Kingdom of Anatolia had three major academies: the Magic Academy, the Military Academy, and the Royal Academy. As their names suggest, one is for training mages, one for soldiers, and one for royals and nobles.
"After we get inside, we'll offload your luggage at the dorms where I will remain. As it turns out, you'll have one roommate with you during your stay this year. I had hoped you'd get your own room, being the daughter of a duke and all, or at least get to choose your roommate, but that's not the case," Carol sighs.
The only ones who may get a room to themselves are members of the royal family. If every noble had a room to themselves, they'd have to spend more money on larger accommodations, and it would defeat the purpose of teaching new students to coexist with their fellow nobles.
"There's nothing that can be done about it. That's just how the school operates. Do we know what to do in regards to my class schedule?" Yukitsuki asks.
"On the first day, there will be tests. Both written and physical. These tests will determine what classes you'll be assigned to for your first term. Once all that's done, you'll be assigned rooms and roommates. The next day will have introductions and a speech from the princess herself. After that, classes will officially commence. After the exams today, you'll have your dorm assignment made and learn who your roommate will be. I certainly hope you'll get paired with someone who won't cause you any trouble," Carol explains.
"I'm sure it'll be fine. If push comes to shove, I can always freeze them in self-defense," Yukitsuki raises her fist.
"I... don't think that would be wise, Milady," Carol only gets more worried.
Having a powerful dragon that loves a good brawl as one of her combat teachers left her with at least one or two... quirks, so to speak. They've arrived at the academy dorms at this point. All new students were informed their luggage would remain with their servants until after the initiation exams were completed. Yukitsuki looks out the window again to spot several other carriages coming and going. Children of nobles families were being shown the way by the upperclassmen and faculty. When her carriage reaches its spot, the driver opens the door and holds out his hand. Yukitsuki accepts it and climbs down, followed by her maid. Students don't receive their uniforms until after they pass the exams, so the young nobles here have their own attire. Yukitsuki is no exception to the attire rule, donning a pair of brown, low-heeled boots that go up to her calves, black pantyhose, a white short skirt, a matching white buttoned-up jacket over a black shirt, and finally a necklace with white moon gemstone as a gift from her parents. In the past, noble children would enroll without worrying about passing any exams, but the current king's grandfather changed that in order to motivate the nobility to strive for excellence, hence the current system. As she walks through the crowd, eyes turn towards her.
"Hey, isn't that the Duchess Crystalglove's daughter?" a girl asks.
"You mean her adopted daughter? With no noble blood in her?" one boy notes.
"She certainly has some nerve, showing up here, even if the Duchess herself adopted her," a third notes.
While some had negative comments about her, there were at least a few that were more positive.
"I heard the hero herself chose her to be her daughter. She must see something in her we don't," one boy notes.
"Well, she walks with the grace of a noble," another says.
"Yeah... plus, she's pretty easy on the eyes," one boy blushes.
Yukitsuki pays them little mind. She was warned about what her presence might bring here. However, her parents, her family, have such faith in her. If it weren't for them, she'd most likely be dead. She may not always show it, but she's always been grateful to them for that.
"I won't fail my parents. If anyone wants to stand in my way, I'll freeze them into ice sculptures," Yukitsuki moves along, ignoring the stares.
She follows the students to a wide opened area on the side of the school. This must be for the practical exams. She lines up with the other students. A moment later, a middle-aged man wearing white and blue robes and carrying a staff walks in front of everyone.
"Greetings everyone, I am Professor Richard Vaunklief, one of the magic instructors at this prestigious institution. Here, we will begin your magical aptitude examinations. I'm sure some amongst you why study magic here when there is the Magic Academy to do the same. It's simple really. We teach magic at this school, but only to a certain degree. For those who wish to dedicate their lives to magic, to its research, its history, its improvement, the Magic Academy is the place to be. Here, we teach you, the children of noble families, to wield magic in defense of our great nation. We train you, the successors of your houses, to defend this nation should the day ever fall upon us. Now then, with that out of the way, let the tests commence," Professor Vaunklief explains.
A few staff members bring out several iron targets and set them a distance away.
"The first test is your magic accuracy and power. Hit the targets gets you some points, but hitting their centers will increase the value. No matter how strong your magic is, it's useless if you can't hit your target. Now then, let the first entrants come forth," the professor starts calling on students.
They come up a few at a time and perform their magic. Each have different elements and strengths in those elements. However, there were some initiates who declined to participate because they can't use magic, even with the aid of magic crystals. There's no point in them being here otherwise, but that wouldn't ruin their chances of getting into the academy. Some of the students do possess magic crystals, whether as pieces of jewelry or on their clothes or wielded in their hands. As she watches, Yukitsuki notes the strength of her future classmates. Some hit their targets, others miss, but not as many as she expected hit the center of the targets. It appears her training was far more gruesome than she originally thought.
"Next up, Yukitsuki Crystalglove," Vaunklief calls out.
All eyes turn to her as she steps onto the stage. Yukitsuki eyes the targets and takes a breath. She raises her hands.
"Flow through me... Ice Spear!" creating several ice spears, she launches them and they completely destroy multiple targets at once.
"No way! She took them all out just like that?!" one student exclaims.
"And her chant was so short. How did she do that and still make her magic so strong?!" a girl can't figure it out.
"Excellent work, Miss Crystalglove. I'd expect nothing less from the daughter of Fuyumi Kusanagi," Professor Vaunklief praises her.
"I went through a lot of training with my mothers," Yukitsuki notes before stepping back.
Some still kept their eyes on her in shock and awe. They didn't expect her to have such talent with magic. Yukitsuki paid them little mind. A few more students come and go before gasps take the air.
"There she is! It's her!" she hears one student yell and looks over.
"Now then, Princess Iris Anatolia, step forth," the professor calls out.
The princess herself takes the stage, wearing a green dress with a short skirt at the front and a longer skirt at the rear.
"Spirits of the sky, show my foes your fury... Air Cutter!" Princess Iris casts a powerful blade of wind that cuts her target in half.
Her display earns her claps from the audience.
"Excellent, Your Highness. Do keep in mind that it will be your talents that show here, not your stature," Vaunklief notes.
"I understand, Professor," Princess Iris bows her head before leaving. However, the second her eyes spot Yukitsuki, she walks right over to her. "It's a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance, Lady Yukitsuki. I've been hoping to meet you here today,"
"The honor is mine, Your Highness," Yukitsuki bows her head.
"Oh, no need for that. We'll be fellow students here, and the professor said so himself; status doesn't really matter here. Still, I'd love it if we could be friends," Iris says.
"I wouldn't mind, Princess Iris," Yukitsuki nods her head.
"Wait, why is the princess talking to her?! Why can't that be me?!" one guy pulls on a rag from his pocket with his mouth.
"Quiet down, the tests are still ongoing," Vaunklief calls out.
"We'll speak later," Princess Iris says before walking away.
The tests continue until finally, the last student is called out.
"Alright, Miss Hiei Mamoriko, step forth," Vaunklief calls out the final student.
Eyes turn to the final student. Stepping forth is a young woman with long black hair, vivid golden eyes, wearing a black and red yukata with large sleeves, a red sash belt around the waist, a red skirt, thigh-high socks and foreign shoes. But, what's most striking of all are the black fox ears and tail on her person. A Kitsune beastman. The young woman has a pair of flower hair ornaments with red magic stones in them under her fox ears and a necklace with a third stone to match.
"Hmm, an exchange student from the Dragon Alliance. Very well, conduct the test," the professor says.
The kitsune Hiei steps forth, eyeing the last few targets. Raising her hands, she starts making a few hand gestures like a ninja.
"Spirits of fire, burn a hole in my enemies... Flame spear!" Hiei fires off two spears of flame that spin like drills and burn two holes through the iron targets.
"Excellent. You made the spears spin themselves to improve their penetration. Fine magic control, Miss Mamoriko," Vaunklief notes.
Hiei bows her head and walks off. As she walks by Yukitsuki, Hiei's eyes meet hers as they stare at each other in passing. Yukitsuki watches as she goes, a little curious. The magic exams end after that. Yukitsuki follows the students inside one of the halls and into a large classroom. Some she recognizes, but others are new faces. This time, it's a written exam over the history of the continent and the countries within it. Their scores on this exam will help determine what classes they'll be in that require the pen rather than magic or the sword. Yukitsuki answers the questions without much issue. Anelia and Emilia's family drilled into her skull the necessity to study as much as she could for the academy. She liked reading books, but primarily just what interests her. Books that didn't interest her... were harder to handle. They had to bribe her with sweets to get her to work hard on those. The test ended soon enough and she passed with high marks. As she walks through the halls to her next exam, she hears a commotion up ahead.
"Look out, it's a monster!" one girl screams.
"Someone get staff or security or something!" one boy yells.
Yukitsuki goes to check out the situation and comes upon a surprising sight. Standing in the middle of the hallway is a young woman. The girl has long hair that's a pinkish purple color. Red eyes go with the hair and she is wearing a yukata, similar in design to the one Hiei wore, but in a combination of purples and dark pinks. The girl also has a pink flower ornament in her hair and magenta-colored fingernails. The yukata hangs a little off her shoulders though, revealing her shoulders and a black halter top underneath. However, the biggest different is that instead of fox ears or a tail, the lower half of the girl's body is that of a spider, with eight legs, an abdomen, and dark purple fur with red markings.
"What's going on here?" Professor Vaunklief appears.
"Professor, there's a monster in the school!" one initiate points at the arachne.
The mage looks at the arachne and sighs, "She is not a monster, you imbeciles. She is another beats kind, an arachne. And she's another exchange student from the Dragon Alliance. Remember that many peoples, many species, call that nation home. I ask that you compose yourselves and not scream at the first sight of something different than you. If you are all done acting like infants, then I suggest you move on to the next test and stop wasting everyone else's time, unless you want to fail for being late," and with that, he takes his leave.
The students are quick to leave the scene, wanting to get away from the spider girl.
"Hmph, figures people would freak out," the girl mutters before spotting Yukitsuki who remained behind. "Hey, are you Yukitsuki Crystalglove?" the arache approaches her.
"I am, and you are?" Yukitsuki greets her.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Hanazuki Kawakaze. I'm an exchange student from the Dragon Alliance. A pleasure," Hanazuki introduces herself.
"I see. I didn't see you at the magic exam," Yukitsuki notes.
"Oh, that's because I'm not really good with magic. No one is perfect. But, when it comes to almost everything else, it's a different story. Anyway, you won't see every student taking the same exams as you at the same time. I heard they rotate groups so they can get everything done in one day. I already did one written exam and the practical exam in place of the magic exam. I'm just about done with them all," Hanazuki notes.
"I see. I'll keep that in mind," Yukitsuki says.
"Huh, you're not running or screaming? Most do when they see me. Aren't you afraid I might attack, you know... since I'm a 'monster' and all?" Hanazuki asks, scrutinizing her.
"Why should I be afraid of you? You're going to be another student, like me. Besides, I've seen scarier things than you. My mothers were pretty extreme when they were training me," Yukitsuki shrugs her shoulders.
Hanazuki's eye widen in surprise before she smiles, "You're in interesting one. You'll probably be heading to the practical exam next and then that should be it. I still have another written exam and then I'm finished. Maybe we'll end up as roommates when this is all over," Hanazuki says.
"Maybe. Though, it's the faculty who decide that," Yukitsuki notes.
"Well, a girl can still hope, can't she. Besides, we're friends now, so it's alright," Hanazuki smiles.
"Friends..." Yukitsuki mutters.
"Well, I hope to see you again soon," Hanazuki waves before leaving, even as other students give her a wide birth.
It would appear she made her first friend at school. Yukitsuki walks with the other students back outside, this time to a small arena. People take their places in the stands. In the center of the arena is a man with graying hair, a goatee, and wearing a military-style uniform with a sword at his side.
"Greetings. I am Captain Cruz Brickmire. I will be serving as your combat instructor for the term. Today, we are going to test your sword skills. Like with magic, there may come a time where you must enter the battlefield. Being able to defend yourself, especially when you can't use magic, is paramount. Now then, we will have you all participate in duels. The goal is not necessarily to win, but to show your swordsmanship. A victory does give you more points to your score, but you do not fail simply by losing the duel. Also, those that lose their duels will have a chance to make up for it for extra points towards your final grade. Now then, let us begin the tests. Step forth," Brickmire states.
The first two students are called up and take their swords. Yukitsuki watches the duel, but her focus is taken because of someone in the crowd.
"You may be strong when it comes to magic, but I doubt you even know how to handle a sword," one boy sneers at her.
Yukitsuki glances at him and doesn't find anything special about him. A blonde-haired boy with green eyes and a smug look on his face. Yukitsuki stares at him for a moment longer before going back to the duels.
"Hey, I'm talking to you here!" the boy yells at her.
Yukitsuki sighs, "What do you want?"
"You to leave, that's what. You think just because a duke's family adopted you, that puts you on the same level as us. You're just some backwater trash that some chick took off the street on a whim. You're nothing compared to the rest of us who have noble blood in our veins," the boy rats off.
"And you would be?" Yukitsuki asks, looking bored.
"I am Raul von Schwartz, son of Count Schwartz," Raul replies.
"Huh? So, you're not high up on the noble food chain," Yukitsuki replies nonchalantly.
"W-What!" Raul stumbles.
"If noble status is so important to you, then as the daughter of a duchess, adopted or otherwise, I am a much higher ranking than you. Also, that woman you spoke of, the one who adopted me, is the hero of Anatolia. It was thanks to her and my family that Anatolia and the other countries were saved from the empire. They are heroes to the people. I know I don't have their exact same talents, but I have my own. You want to insult me; that's fine. But, you will not insult my family," Yukitsuki declares.
"Hah, fine then, we'll settle this in the arena, and I'll show you the real difference between us," Raul says before walking off.
Yukitsuki sighs, "This is going to happen a lot, isn't it," she mutters.
Several more duels go down and finally it's the moment Yukitsuki was waiting for.
"Raul von Schwartz, step forth," the captain calls out.
"Yes sir, and I would like to face-," Raul says.
"He'll be facing me," both Raul and Yukistuki turn to see the kitsune Hiei step forth, wielding a sheathed katana on her hip.
"Hiei Mamoriko, I don't appreciate students suddenly calling out opponents in the examination, but I'll let it slide just this once. Both of you, step forth," Captain Cruz says.
Before Yukitsuki could do anything, both fighters take the field. Hiei is wielding her katana while Raul is wielding a longsword.
"Ha, I was hoping to beat that fake noble girl, but I suppose you'll do for a good warm-up," Raul flexes his arms a bit. Hiei makes no comment and just stares at him the same way you'd stare at a bug on the side of the road. "Hmph, think you're special too, beast. Find, I'll teach both of you a lesson," he holds his sword in both hands.
"And... begin!" Cruz swings down his arm.
Raul makes the first move, running towards Hiei. He jumps and swings his blade down, only to suddenly get knocked back to the ground. He gets up and sees that Hiei struck him in the stomach with the pommel of her katana, the blade nearly out of its sheathe. Hiei sheathes her blade and remains waiting. Raul grits his teeth and goes at her again. He makes several swings, but Hiei calmly evades them all without drawing her sword. At one point, she raises the pommel of her sword, striking him under the chin. He stumbles back, only to get kicked in the stomach and flies back to the ground.
"Argh! Don't think you've won. I'm not done yet!" Raul staggers back to his feet.
"What a bore," Hiei takes a stance, hand on her blade.
Raul charges at her, tip of his sword aimed at her face. Just as it looks like his blade will hit her, it suddenly breaks in half.
"Wha..." Raul stutters.
Everyone watches in shock. It happened so fast they couldn't tell what happened. But Yukitsuki saw it, just barely. She saw how Hiei drew her sword in a very fast draw strike and then just as quickly sheathed her sword.
"But... how?" Raul falls onto his knees, only to look up as Hiei stands above him.
Hiei leans her face close to his with a glare, "A pitiful little maggot like you is not worthy of facing the princess. Stay out of her way, or next time I'll cut more than just your sword in half," she whispers before walking away.
"And the winner is Hiei Mamoriko," Captain Cruz announces.
Hiei walks away while Raul remains on the ground in shock. Yukitsuki eyes Hiei, who returns the stare if only for a moment. Yukitsuki's turn comes up soon enough and she makes quick work of her opponent. The remaining exams go off without a hitch and Yukitsuki ends up with high marks on every test. As such, she'll be put in the honors classes with the other high scorers. After that, she heads to the main school hall with other students to pick up her uniform before going to meet up with Carol at the dorms.
"Good evening, Milady. I trust the exams went well," Carol bows upon seeing her.
"Yes. I'm in the honors classes. Has my dorm room and roommate been decided yet?" Yukitsuki asks.
"Your room, yes. Your roommate, not yet. Perhaps they have an answer inside. Each dorm building has someone designated as a Resident Assistant or RA for short. Their job is to provide assistance to the dorm residents when needed. Perhaps they know something," Carol suggests.
Deciding on that plan, the pair head inside the dorm to look for the RA. When they do, they find an older woman with blonde hair in a bun and glasses overlooking some paperwork.
"Excuse me, have roommate assignments been completed yet?" Yukitsuki asks.
"Huh? Ah, yes, mostly. You're... Yukitsuki Crystalglove. This is your dorm room and your dorm key. Be sure not to lose it or you'll have to pay to replace it. As for your roommate..." the RA looks over a document.
"It's me," they turn to find Hiei standing behind them.
"Hiei Mamoriko," Yukitsuki remembers her.
"I apologize for not introducing myself earlier, Princess," Hiei bows her head.
"Princess?" Yukitsuki cocks her head.
"You are the daughter of Fuyumi Kusanagi, who is the mate of the Dragon Princess Hikaru. As such, that makes her, and you, a part of the imperial family. My family has served yours for generations. It is only natural that I address you as such," Hiei explains.
"Um, there's no need for that. Besides, noble rank don't count for much at this school. You can just call me Yukitsuki and I'll call you Hiei, okay," Yukitsuki offers.
That formality stuff can be suffocating sometimes.
"If that's what you wish, the so be it," Hiei replies.
However, before they can continue, they hear some noise down the hall. Checking it out, they come across a scene that Yukitsuki has already seen once today.
"You can't be serious?! You want me to room with the spider monster of all people!" one girl, a red-head, screams as she walks towards the RA behind them.
"What is the problem?" the RA asks.
"The problem is that I could die in my sleep! Why should I room with the arachne? She's a monster. We can't trust her," the girl complains.
Yukitsuki looks behind her to spot Hanazuki along with a few other female students wo were glaring at her. She notices how Hanazuki looks uncaring about the situation, but she sees how her hands on her crossed arms are gripping them rather tightly.
"If that's the case, then I must be a monster too, huh?" Hiei argues, her fox ears twitching.
"W-Well, maybe you are. Look, I don't want to share a room with that spider girl and that's that! I'm the daughter of a marquess. I shouldn't be punished this way," the girl complains.
"Your noble ranking has no bearing at this academy. And I'm sure that some of the staff have explained that an arachne is not a monster, but a beastman. She's from the Dragon Alliance, who have humans and beastmen living together. Their customs are different. That's why this exchange program exists," the RA explains.
"But that doesn't mean I have to suffer this kind of abuse!" the girl is almost crying now.
"I was afraid of this," Hiei notes.
"You know Hanazuki?" Yukitsuki asks.
"Guess you two already met. Yes, we're old friends from the Alliance. I was hoping they'd put us in a room together to avoid this, but I guess someone screwed up somewhere with the paperwork. She's had to deal with this stuff at home as well," Hiei explains.
Hearing that, Yukitsuki gets an idea.
"We'll take her," Yukitsuki suggests.
"Excuse me?" the RA asks.
"I don't mind having an extra roommate. And Hiei already knows her. This way, it solves everyone's problems," Yukitsuki says.
Hanazuki once more is surprised by Yukitsuki's behavior.
"But, the rooms are only for two people each," the RA notes.
"We can make it work. At this rate, we won't solve this issue until tomorrow when classes begin," Yukitsuki retorts.
The RA looks at the other new students and sees none of them stepping up to the plate.
She sighs, "Very well, I'll allow it. The rest of you, report to your rooms immediately. As for you, I'll find you another roommate, but no more arguments, understood? Let's go," the RA says.
With the matter settled, Yukitsuki heads to her new room with her roommate plus one.
"Are you sure this is wise, Milady? She is an arachne," Carol whispers.
"And one of my mothers is a dragon and one of my aunts is an elf. I don't see the issue," Yukitsuki replies.
"So, why then?" Carol asks.
"Because... she's just like me," Yukitsuki mutters.
They reach her room and enter inside. They find two beds on opposite sides of the room, with two desks on their sides, two ottoman boxes, and then a large closet space.
"The room was only made for two people, so you'll have to figure the rest out on your own. By the way, I'm Lena Carmine, the RA. If you have any questions, please see me," Lena says.
"Thank you, have a good night," Hiei bows her head.
Lena takes her leave, which just leaves Carol.
"Thanks for helping to bring my luggage, Carol. Please return to the servant's dorm," Yukitsuki says.
"As you wish, Milady. I bid you a good night's rest and good luck on your first day of classes," Carol bows and then leaves as well.
The three girls then head inside and unpack their things, "So, where would you guys like to sleep?"
"Are you sure about this? Liking me will only make others hate you even more," Hanazuki notes.
"I don't care about that. If they cause problems, I'll just freeze them into human popsicles," Yukitsuki says without a care, making the other two girls sweatdrop. "And besides, we're supposed to be friends now, right Hanazuki?" Yukitsuki turns to the arachne.
The arachne keeps getting surprised by this girl, "You really are unique, Yukitsuki," she smiles.
"That includes you Hiei. I'd like it if we could become friends too," she turns to the kitsune now.
"I'd like that, Yukitsuki. Alright, then from here on in, we're all friends," Hiei places her hand out.
Yukitsuki and Hanazuki join their hands with hers.
"Still, what do we do about sleeping arrangements?" Yukitsuki asks.
"Don't worry about that," Hanazuki says.
She climbs up to the ceiling, starts spinning out her silk webbing. A few moments later, she has a makeshift hammock hanging above them.
"I can leave some of my stuff up here with my silk so it won't be in the way. I prefer sleeping like this anyway," Hanazuki says.
"Hoh," Yukitsuki claps her hands, impressed.
...
Later that night, Yukitsuki sleeps soundly in her bed. However, Hiei and Hanazuki loom over her as she sleeps.
"She kind of remind me of Her Highness," Hanazuki notes.
"Indeed. Honorable, but also unorthodox, and interesting," Hiei replies.
"Still, many people will try to mess with her," Hanazuki sighs.
"And that's why we're here. To protect her with our lives," Hiei stares longingly at the sleeping beauty before them. "Sleep soundly, Princess."
And that's the chapter. A lot longer than normal, but I pretty much wanted to get the first day and a few things done in this chapter. Yukitsuki begins her time at the Royal Academy and meets some new friends. What challenges await her in school? Until then, please Read and Review.
