Somewhere around the city, a mysterious girl walks among the crowd. She sees every human coming and going all over the streets where she stands. "Humans are loathsome creatures. Devils come to hunt and feast on their prey at night," she says, looking up at the moon.
"First things first, I have to meet up with that half-breed...better watch your back...Anzai," she said intimidatingly as she walked, blending with the crowd.
Anzai opened his eyes and looked around the room, suddenly feeling a chill running down his spine. He felt uneasy that someone was watching him, but there was nothing unusual. "What the hell was that?" he muttered to himself as he sat up in bed. Glancing back at Aina, who was sleeping peacefully next to him, her body completely bare from the blissful afterglow of the night before. His fingers brushed over her face.
Quietly getting out of bed, he carefully walks over to the window, not to wake Aina, and views the city.
He looks back at Aina, lingers on her sleeping form for a moment before turning his attention back to the window. "Damn it." He sighs in frustration under his breath.
Walking into the kitchen, still lost in thought, he pours himself a glass of water and leans against the counter, taking a sip as he tries to shake off the feeling that's making him feel restless. His mind races about other devils out there, knowing that they're a threat and can't afford to let his guard down, not with Aina's life on the line.
Meanwhile, Aina still asleep in the bedroom. Dreaming about her first night of blissful passion she shared with Anzai, The memories flooded back to her so vivid and intense, remembering the way his touch felt on her skin, the way he made her feel so loved and desired. She can feel her heart racing, reliving the moment.
Aina began to stir herself awake, looking around the room, realizing Anzai was not in bed with her. She wondered where he could be, and a pang of worry settled in her chest. Pulling the bedsheets to cover her chest, she felt vulnerable without him. "He's probably in the kitchen," she thought to herself as she got out of bed, wrapped the bedsheets around her body, and headed to the kitchen.
While she makes her way, she finds Anzai leaning against the counter, lost in thought. He glanced at her as she entered, walking up to him. Anzai wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. Burying his face in her black hair, he inhaled her scent. "You're awake," he murmurs softly, holding her tight in his embrace. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to disturb you. I just had a bad feeling and needed to clear my head." He pressed a gentle kiss on top of her head, feeling her body relax against his.
"Was something bothering you?" Aina asked. Anzai hesitated for a moment before speaking, not wanting to worry her. "I don't know," he said in a low tone. "I just had a hunch that I couldn't shake off." Aina stood silently, understanding him. "Is it because of other devils like before?" Anzai nodded, his grip tightening slightly behind her waist. "Yeah," he said, "I just can't shake the feeling that something is coming and...don't want to put you in danger." Aina couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt that he only wants to keep her out of harm's way, knowing that there are more devils after Anzai.
He pulls back slightly to look at her, sensing her discomfort. "Hey, what's wrong?" Anzai asks with concern. Aina rubs her hand slowly on his chest. "I'm only thinking that...if you want me out of your way while you're fighting devils. But I'm worried about how will I know if you're alright and alive." Her voice cracks, choking a sob. "I don't want to be alone, not knowing what's happened to you, Anzai...I won't leave you."
Anzai's expression softens, seeing the tears welling up in her eyes. He reaches out and gently wipes away a tear that has fallen down her cheek. "No, no, that's not it all." His voice is filled with reassurance. "I don't want you to be alone either. But I promise I'll do everything in my power to come back to you." Aina looks back at him as he smiles sincerely and kisses the corner of her lips. She closes her eyes, feeling the love and worry radiating from him deeply.
He pulls back with a serious expression. "I swear, I'll always come back to you, Aina. You're my reason to keep on fighting and living. I can't lose you." Aina strokes his chin as he savors the touch of her fingers, leaning into her gentle caress. He opens his eyes and looks at her again, whispering, "I love you. More than anything in this world."
Aina smiles warmly. "I love you too...You're all that matters to me." She kisses Anzai passionately, savoring each other's scent and taste. Anzai responds to her kiss with equal passion, deepening the kiss, his tongue exploring her mouth. His heart races in his chest, his love for her overwhelming him.
"You're my everything, Aina," he spoke softly against her lips. "You're all that's important to me."
