A couple of days later Eliza finally ventured out. She had to get out of the house and get a new change of scenery. Elijah had arrived home the next morning, the witches arrived after him in the evening, and Nik said he would be home as soon as possible as he was in the jungle dealing with business.

Arriving at school Elena and Stefan both surprisingly greeted her as she got out of her car, and thankfully didn't say anything. Heading inside she kept quiet but near Stefan having the closeness of comfort of a family member was making her feel better.

Alaric noticed them arrive and made his way to them to tell them what he had discovered.

"Hey Mr Saltzman," Elena greeted as Eliza kept her head down.

"We need to talk," he said gesturing for them to follow him.

Twenty minutes later found Damon entering the classroom to a room of gloomy faces.

"Damon thanks for coming,"

"Sorry I'm late dog ate my..never mind," he said as he walked over kissing Eliza on the forehead before standing next to her as she wrapped her arms around his waist while they talked.

"So what's with all the furrowed brows?,"

"I saw Isobel,"

"Isobel's here? In town?," he asked shocked.

"Did you ask her about uncle John? Are they working together?,"

"No,"

"No they're not?,"

"No I didn't ask,"

"What about the invention?," Damon asked as he walked towards Alaric sadly letting go of Eliza.

"Didn't ask,"

"Did she know about the tomb vampires?,"

"I don't know,"

"Did words completely escape you?,"

"I was a little too distracted by my dead vampire wife to ask any questions,"

"If she's here that means she was responsible for Harper and Pearl's deaths," Eliza finally spoke up now knowing who to kill.

"We will discuss that later, what did she want?,"

"She want's to see me Damon,"

"Hell no," Eliza shook her head knowing that it would not end well.

"Alaric is suppose to arrange a meeting. We don't know why or what she wants,"

"You don't have to see her if you don't want to,"

"I don't really have a choice,"

"You always have a choice Elena," Eliza said.

"She's threatening to go on a killing spree,"

"Oh, and I take it that's not okay with you guys,"

"I want to do it,"

"Elena nothing good will come of it look at how messed up things have gotten for me trying to reunite with parent's,"

"I have hope, and questions. I want to meet her, if I don't I know I'll regret it,"

"Then we come up with a plan hot heads stay outside," Alaric pointed at Eliza and Damon.

"Hey!," they both took offense to that remark.

"You want to kill her for hurting your family, and you want to kill her for Katherine let's not have bloodshed in the grill,"

"Fine,"

"Agreed," Eliza pouted knowing he was right.

Inside the grill an hour later Elena sat at a table as Stefan hung out at the pool tables.

"Can you hear me?," Stefan nodded.

"Thank you for coming in with me I'm nervous maybe Eliza was right," to that Stefan shrugged and smiled she usually was he would never admit it.

"But I'm happy that you're here, and that Eliza and Damon are outside just in case. I love you," Stefan smiled mouthing back 'I love you too'.

Suddenly her vision of Stefan was blocked and A woman in black sat down at the table.

"Hello Elena. You look just like her it's eerie,"

"You've met Katherine?,"

"She found me after I turned, genetic curiosity I suppose. She would be fascinated to know that your sister is the exact carbon copy of her former foe Elizabeth, and of you,"

"Is that how you can walk in the day?,"

"Katherine helped me obtain it,"

"Who's my father?,"

"Not important he was a teenage waste of space,"

"A name would be nice,"

"It would wouldn't it? You ask a lot of questions,"

"Why did you compel that man to kill himself right after he told me to stop looking for you?,"

"Traumatic impact, wish it would have been more effective,"

"Human life means that little to you?,"

"Means nothing to me it's just part of being what I am,"

"No it's not I know other vampires that's not true,"

"You mean your boyfriend over there by the pool tables? Stefan Salvatore. Why Stefan? Why didn't you go for Damon? Or do you enjoy them both like Katherine did?," Elena was at a loss for words after those remarks not knowing what to say,

"Why did you want to meet me? It can't be to just catch up,"

"Because I'm curious about you, but the real reason is I want what your uncle wants, Jonathon Gilbert's invention,"

"How do you know my uncle?,"

"I use to spend a lot of time here when I was younger. John had a crush on me for years, he was the first one to tell me about vampires,"

"So what made you want to be one?,"

"It's a very long list of reasons Elena, all of which I'm sure you've thought about," Elena shook her head denying it.

"That was your first lie, it's enviable you're going to get old Stefan won't. Forever doesn't last very long when your human,"

"I'm sorry but I don't have what you're looking for," Elena remarked angrily as she went to stand to leave.

"Sit down," Isobel ordered as she grabbed her arm and Stefan began to rush over.

"And tell your boyfriend to walk away," sitting back down Elena nodded to Stefan to stay where he was.

"I want the invention,"

"I don't have it,"

"I know that but Damon does, and you're going to get it for me,"

"When it comes to Damon asking Eliza would have given you a better chance then me he would move mountains for her,"

"Then the blood will be on your hands," Isobel stood gathering her belongings before walking out.

"It was nice meeting you Elena," as she left Elena took a shaky breath.

Elena stood from the table, tears in her eyes, as Bonnie came to a stop in front of her.

When she saw Stefan step up behind Elena though she turned and walked away, she knew would find out what happened from Eliza later.

At the Gilbert house things were slowly going back to normal Jenna set the table as Jeremy entered the room on his phone trying to contact Anna who had disappeared after they had buried her mother for her.

He understood she was hurting and needed space but he loved her and wanted to help his family.

"Hey Anna where are you? Give me a call when you get this," he was concerned she had turned her switch off and was lost to her other side.

"How is Anna?,"

"Sad, broken hearted, and I don't know what to do aunt Jenna. When she showed up to Eliza's with Harper and Pearl's bodies it was shocking and hurtful to see,"

"I like her I hope she is okay and won't hurt your feelings while you're trying to help her,"

"Me too,"

"Girl trouble?," John remarked as he arrived unannounced making Jenna and Jeremy roll their eyes.

"No trouble, just you know,"

"Is she the girl I saw you with at the founder's party? So you two are getting pretty hot and heavy huh. When's the last time you saw her?,"

"Why?,"

"I'm just making conversation, no one else in this house likes me. At least I can talk to you, especially if you need someone to talk to about girls,"

"Ugh please I'm eating," Jenna scoffed at his comment.

"Seriously how well do you know Anna?,"

"I know Anna extremely well,"

"Well know that you can talk to me about anything. I mean I'm here to answer any questions you have, to help you in any way I can,"

"Why?,"

"Cause your dad would want me to,"

"I'm uh I'm good," Jeremy walked around John and headed out not wanting to deal with him much longer then need to.

Everyone was smart they kept John as far from their business as they could. They didn't trust him and knew he was bad news.
