Eliza and Nik were near by with Damon watching as Stefan had to break the news to Elena that John was her father.
"John? Is that even possible?,"
"Well there's no proof but he dated Isobel when she was a teenager, and he was the one who brought her to your dad's clinic for delivery,"
"My whole life I never liked this man...I,"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I just wanted to tell you before Damon dropped it on you,"
"Hey! I was the one who told him to tell her instead of me," Damon huffed as Eliza patted his arm in comfort.
"I'm happy that you told me I just really hope that it's not true,"
"But it is," Eliza muttered rolling her eyes at Elena's reaction as Nik and Damon nodded.
"What am I suppose to do? Do I just confront him and say are you my biological father?,"
"I guess when you're ready,"
"Stefan I have enough problems with the family that I actually care about. Jeremy hates me and why wouldn't he? My journal gave him every reason to. Eliza and I we use to be civil then so much went down and now we can't even be in the same room alone though things are civil when anyone else is,"
"Cause I asked her to when I was detoxing I asked her to work on things with you, give it time Eliza is a whole chapter of things that would shock you,"
"Hey I take offense to that I am perfectly easy to get along with," as she said that Nik and Damon burst into laughter as Stefan bit his lip to not laugh too.
"Jeremy on the other hand is just hurt and confused,"
"He's never going to forgive me for Vicki,"
"He will he handled things himself he mourned her and accepted her death though he still has to overcome that hurdle,"
"What about taking away his memory? or lying to him?,"
"Technically you didn't mess with his memory but yeah lying will take time. But he's your brother he will forgive you just give him some time," Stefan said reaching up stroking Elena's cheek and hair to comfort her.
Jeremy showed up twenty minutes after his conversation with Anna and after kissing Eliza's cheek and talking to Nik for a minute he headed off to get ready for the parade.
"Heh I was wondering where you were?," Elena said running up to him as he kept walking.
"You look great, you guys did a really good job with the float,"
"Go away Elena,"
"Jeremy please I just want to talk to you like you talk to Eliza,"
"Don't go there at least with her she tells me the truth, the whole truth, and keeps me informed about things,"
"I don't want it to be like this between us,"
"Why don't you ask Damon to erase my memory again? Then I can go back to being your in the dark little brother again,"
"Jer please," Elena begged grabbing his hand.
"Just don't, you cant just fix this that easily. Something like this doesn't just get fixed," with that said Jeremy walked away as the parade got ready to begin.
