As the parade came to a end and the girls headed to the changing location Eliza was so happy when Jackie ripped the ties of the corset and she let out a long happy breath.
"So dramatic," she joked as Eliza looked at her with a 'very funny' look in her eyes.
Eliza was so grateful Jackie had packed a change bag and after packing away the dress carefully she slipped into a comfy black sweater dress with her black converse.
In the grill Damon smirked as he saw Elena enter back in modern clothing.
"I like you better like this. The period look it didn't suit you,"
"Is that a insult?,"
"Actually Elena it is a compliment of the highest order,"
"Look I know Stefan is worried about our friendship,"
"Did he mention something to you too?,"
"No did he mention something to you?,"
"Nothing worth repeating,"
"So I think you should stop with the flirty little comments and that eye thing you do,"
"What eye thing?,"
"Don't make me regret being your friend,"
"Ok,"
"Ok," walking away she noticed Jeremy as Eliza entered with Nik.
"Is someone happy to be out of that corset," he teased.
"Hell yeah," Nik and Damon laughed at how fast she agreed.
Looking over Eliza shook her head Elena should leave Jeremy alone pushing him non stop was not the answer.
"Look I don't believe that we can't fix this. I lied. I was wrong. But you're my brother Jer and I love you and I have to fix it. So tell me what can I do?,"
"You can go to hell Elena," Jeremy said getting up and walking away.
Nik had made his way over to the bar and while ordering for them made sure to add Jeremy's tab to his. He loved taking care of their family through the little things. He never thought he could care for humans again but he was coming to love the ones who surrounded his fire lily.
As they made their way outside they noticed it had become night and there was something sweet about a night time stroll with Nik.
Damon made his way over and Eliza put her free arm though his. She knew Nik wasn't jealous she had made it clear what they each meant to her. Suddenly there was a whoosh behind them. Turning his head Damon groaned.
"You're still around?,"
"Behave she is dating my brother," Eliza warned knowing he wouldn't tempt her.
"There's something you three need to know. The vampires from the tomb are here and they plan to attack tonight,"
"How do you know this," Damon growled as Nik took out his phone and sent out a mass text to those that could be in Mystic Falls quickly.
"I went to them. They think I'm with them but I'm not I wouldn't betray Eliza like that or Jeremy,"
"We know Anna thank you though for risking yourself to gather this information," Eliza spoke up grateful to know what was going on.
"They want the founding families dead, all of them,"
"When is this suppose to happen?,"
"When the fireworks start,"
"John wants to use that invention on them,"
"Then we can't be here,"
"It doesn't work it's been deactivated,"
"Well then a lot of people are going to die,"
"Are we so sure it was Damon it won't hurt to get those we know out of the square asap," Eliza pointed out as she took out her phone and warned Jackie and her uncle Henry.
"Where are they right now?,"
"They're already here Damon," with that said Damon took off to find Stefan and Elena.
Eliza received confirmation texts from Jackie and Henry that they were headed home and took Jenna with them.
Nik had texted Greta who agreed that Bonnie likely didn't deactivate the device and warned them to be prepared for any noises that weren't infecting the humans.
"Rick!,"
"Yeah?,"
"You keep those niffy little vampire weapons in your car?,"
"Yeah why do you ask?,"
"Cause this square is crawling with tomb vampires I think we might need a stake or two,"
"Got it," as Rick walked away it was perfect timing as Elena and Stefan walked up to him.
"Hey," Damon said grabbing her free hand.
"Uh what are you doing?,"
"Saving your life. Fifteen words or less the tomb vampires are here and the founding families are the target. Get her out of here, now,"
"Where are you going?,"
"That's more then fifteen words Stefan," Damon said as he took off into the crowd trying to stop a deadly event from happening.
