"They finally discover me." Shokora looked down.
"I know, but our goals are already achieved anyway, once Metal Sonic upload the database, we will have all information about our enemies, then the Smash database is finally ours." Smiled Hades.
Pallet Town
In order to investigate Team Rocket and their recent actions, Red and co. decided to stop by Pallet Town, Red's hometown first.
"Sorry for taking a detour, I won't be long here." Red apologized to the others. "I haven't been home for a while."
"It's alright, you haven't been home, so just take your time, it's not like Team Rocket's store is going anywhere." Green encouraged Red to visit his house.
"Thanks, you know why don't you all come inside." Offered Red. "I'll introduce you to my mom."
"First things first Red, do you want your mom to know what you've been involved in ?" Asked Henry.
"Yeah, let's keep that part a secret okay." Red put a shushing gesture as he and the others entered Red's house.
Red's House
"Mom I'm home." Red knocked the door as he went inside.
"Welcome home Red." Red's mom hugged her son.
"Everyone this is my mom." Red introduce his mom to everyone.
"Hello ma'am." Greeted everyone.
"Green it has been a while, and I believe I haven't met the others." Said Red's mom.
"Right, this is Henry and Popo, I...met them during my travels." Explained Red.
"Well a friend of Red is always welcome here, let me make some tea." Red's mom went to the kitchen.
"She seems nice." Said Henry.
"Yeah, and I really take that for granted." Red scratching his head.
"Red was very obsessed with training he never come home, Ethan have to drag Red home from Mt. Silver." Green making fun of Red.
"A moment I'm not proud of." Red bowed down his head in embarrassment.
"Alright everyone take a seat." Red's mom return with a tray with cups of tea as everyone take a seat.
"This tea is delicious." Popo complimented Red's mom.
"Why thank you, I'm glad you all enjoyed it." Smiled Red's mom.
"This is very nice mom, but I'm afraid I'm not staying here long." Said Red. "So i've heard there's a store selling pokemon not native to Kanto, is that right ?"
"Yes that is true, are you going to check that store ?" Asked Red's mom. "It seems there are stores opening in Pewter, Cerulean, Vermillion, and Celadon City."
"Yeah, I'm just very curious about it." Answered Red.
"It's alright, I understand, I'm proud of the man you've become, just please remember to come home more often okay ?"
"Hahah yeah, sorry for worrying you too much, it's just I have things to do, I'll be sure to come back once things are settled down." Replied Red.
"Well it's been nice ma'am, but we have to go soon." Green finished her tea.
"Alright Green, I do hope you're not making your parents worried sick like Red is." Teased Red's mom.
"Don't worry unlike Red I remember to call from time to time, and also now that you mentioned it even i'm getting worried myself, what would happen after we got married and Red rarely at home."
"WHAT !" Red's mom in shock after hearing Green's lies.
"Green knock it off ! and Mom, Green and I are nothing like that !" Red tries to clarify the situation as Green, Popo, and Henry trying to hold back laughter.
"But Red, youre not a kid anymore, i think you should consider when will you be settling down in the future." Suggested Red's mom.
"It's still too early to talk about marriage, A-anyway we'll be leaving now ! Thanks for the tea." Red got up from his chair as the others bid farewell to Red's mom and left the house.
Pallet Town
"Okay so guess we'll be going to Pewter City first, it's the closest one from here." Said Red.
Popo keep staring at Red's house.
"Something wrong Popo ?" Asked Henry.
"Looking and entering your house and speaking to your mom reminds me that I haven't been home myself." Answered Popo.
"This mission of ours takes a lot longer than expected, but on the other hand our numbers are a lot now, so why not take a day off, we won't suffer lack of manpower with one or two people are unavailable that day." Assured Red.
"Yeah, maybe I try to return home with Nana later." Popo cheered up.
"Right then, first stop Pewter City, come on out Gengar !" Green sent out Gengar. "Gengar open a shadow portal to Pewter City." Gengar obeyed as it create a portal made of darkness, and the heroes entered the portal.
Blackthorn City
The heroes arrived at Blackthorn City, located in the mountainous region of Johto.
"Welcome to Blackthorn City, a mountain city on Johto region, I wish I can show you all around, but we have a mission to fulfill." Said Blue.
"Right, your friend is injured am I right ?" Asked Serena.
"Yeah, he might be at the Pokémon Center right now, we should try looking there first." Blue lead the others to the pokemon center.
Pokemon Center
The heroes entered the Pokémon Center which is a hospital used to treat sick or injured pokemon, despite the name pokemon center it treats humans as well, and obviously humans treated in a different section of the hospital.
Blue went to the reception counter and speak with the receptionist there. "Excuse me miss, I'm here to see Ethan, i'm Blue, perhaps you've heard of me ?"
"Who doesn't know Blue, but I was told that it was Red who is visiting ?" The receptionist looked at the list.
"Red have...other matters to attend to, which is why I'm here on his stead." Explained Blue.
"Alright, he's in this room, room 105." The receptionist told Blue where's Ethan's room is and the direction that leads to the room, Blue thanked the receptionist as the heroes made their way to Ethan's room.
Room 105
The heroes entered the room and see Ethan lying in bed, however he isn't alone as there's someone else in the bed next to him, a boy with shoulder length red hair laying in bed next to him.
"Silver ? You're here too ?" Blue replied with shock.
"Blue ? You came, Red's not with you ?" Asked Ethan.
"Sorry, no he had...other matters to deal with, what happened to you two ?" Asked Blue.
"I think I'll take over from here since your bodies still weak." A female voice came from the direction of the door, a blue haired woman in a ponytail style, she's wearing cape and shorts entered the room.
"Clair...right I forgot to introduce you guys, everyone this is Ethan and Silver, Johto's strong trainers, and this is Clair, the gym leader of Blackthorn City." Blue introduced Ethan, Silver, and Clair to everyone and the heroes introduced themselves.
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, although quite the crowd you got there with you Blue." Clair looked at the heroes.
"Yeah, but my companions can wait, but anyway can you tell us what happened ? Why is Ethan and Silver like this ?"
"Sure, it's started after I defeated a trainer who challenged me, I was thinking of heading to the Dragon's Den after that, and so I did." Clair begin telling her story.
Flashback..
Dragon's Den
"That trainer wasn't to hard to beat, but I think I should do more training...what the ! Hey what's going on here !" Clair saw Ethan and Silver on their knees and many Dratinis and Dragonairs in near unconscious state.
"Another human refuse ? Whatever, no matter how many of you are all of you serves as mere nourishment for Lord Nergal." Sonia extend her arm, ready to devour Clair's quintessence.
"I don't know who you are, but I will not let anyone desecrate this place ! Come out Kingdra !" Clair toss her pokeball to the waters and sent out her strongest pokemon Kingdra.
"Another one of these monsters ? Wait, I sense this one possess great power, you must have raised this one really good, well then..." Sonia used her magic to drain Kingdra's quintessence.
"Wait ! What are you doing ! Kingdra Dragon Pulse !" Kingdra is too weak to use a move with it's quintessence absorbed, Clair tried to run towards Sonia, but she used her right hand to shoot lightning near Clair, warning her not to come close while she use her left hand to continue draining Kingdra's quintessence.
"Well that's very impressive, I receive a lot of quintessence from this one, well then I believe I should just dispose all of you." As Sonia about to kill Clair, Ethan, and Silver Ephidel and Limstella stopped her.
"Calm down Sonia, Lord Nergal said no unnecessary destruction and death, we got enough quintessence here, it's time to head to our next destination." Said Ephidel.
"You got lucky this time, I warn you to not interfere with us next time." Sonia give her warning as the three morph teleports away.
Flashback end
"I call the pokemon center afterward and well you know the rest." Clair looked at Ethan and Silver. "That woman can shoot lightning from her hands, and also it looks like she's using a Giga Drain on Kingdra ! Just who or what we're dealing here ?"
"I see, I can see why Nergal's morphs would attack this place." Roy stroking his chin.
"You know something Roy ?" Asked Serena.
"Yeah, according to father, dragons have much more quintessence than humans do, Nergal must've want a large quantity of quintessence for whatever he's planning." Explained Roy. "i guess that must be his reason sending his morphs here."
"Judging from Clair's story then it's clear dragon type pokemon possess a huge amount of quintessence just like dragons in your world then." Said Blue.
"Wait ! Wait ! Can you slowdown ? Morphs ? quintessence ? What are you talking about ?" Asked Clair.
"Quintessence is like a life energy right ? Maybe with our healing magic we can restore that lost life force, let's do it Peach." Serena and Peach combined their healing magic and restored Ethan and Silver to full health.
"Wow ! I'm back to full health !" Ethan is feeling energized.
"Me too ! What, what just happened exactly !?" Silver couldn't believe he and Ethan healed so quickly.
"It worked ! Our powers have restored their life energy !" Peach excited at her and Serena's success.
"It's a healing magic, I understand that magic doesn't exist in this world right ?" Asked Serena.
"Well we have people with psychic powers, but actually magic ? I don't think I've met anyone like that, what about you Silver ?" Asked Ethan.
"Obviously not, who would've thought anyone like that exists, I guess that's why we got caught off guard against that woman." Said Silver.
"Do you remember when did this happen ?" Asked Blue.
"It's not long after you give me the golden plate, I went to the Dragon's Den to inform Silver." Said Ethan.
"And I had a hard time believing his story, guess after what we've been through it's not too farfetched anymore." Said Silver.
"So this magic, how do you learn it ?" Asked Clair.
"Before we answer that, I believe all of you should know, this incident doesn't just cover our world, but the entire universe, Roy, Peach, and Serena came from another world, where pokemon doesn't exist." Blue revealed the others background to Clair, Ethan, and Silver.
"WHAT !" Silver and Clair shout in unison.
"A world without pokemons !? Such a thing never crossed my mind !" Clair is in shock.
"I know it's hard to believe, but it's true." Confirmed Peach. "We don't have monsters that we capture, or raise, or train like you do."
"There are monsters in my world, but most of them serve a malevolent demon lord and clearly not on the side of humans." Added Serena.
"Roy, do you know what Nergal plans to do with those quintessence ?" Asked Blue.
"Not sure, what father told me, Nergal wished to create an army of morphs under his command, and to replace all humans with Morphs, that goal hasn't changed in Askr, but now I wonder if he's continuing the goal he has yet to fulfill or does he has any other plans." Pondered Roy.
"So this is what you mean when we meet at Ilex Forest." Remembered Ethan.
"Yeah, and look if it's possible we may need your help, Ethan and Silver, you two are talented and powerful trainers, and Clair as the gym leader of Blackthorn City, your skill is also the real deal, but now we're dealing with people we may not used to deal with before, they don't use pokemon to fight, they use weapons, superpowers, martial arts, you name it, we may have to attack them directly with our own Pokémon, of course I won't force you if you don't want to." Said Blue.
"Using pokemon to harm people directly huh ? I don't know, you're asking quite a lot." Ethan is still skeptical.
"Well you saw what happened earlier, we hesitated, they don't, and now look at what happened to us." Replied Silver.
"Blue, if you're asking us to break the law like this, does this mean you've done it ?" Asked Clair.
"I've been taking part in several missions, and so yes, I have ordered my pokemons to attack the enemies directly." Answered Blue. "But well the mission I've taken doesn't always take place in Pokémon world, i know it's basically loophole abuse, but there's no other options."
"Well I did saw Lance attacking a man with Dragonite, but that's more like to scare him rather than to kill him." Remarked Ethan.
"That cousin of mine, I know he's in a hurry to stop Team Rocket's plan but still." Sighed Clair.
"You want my help ? Fine I'll do it, clearly we're dealing with an enemy that cannot be ignored." Silver agreed to help.
"Thanks Silver, but I have to say one thing, Team Rocket is among the list of our enemies." Explained Blue.
"I see, all the more reason to accept your offer." Silver let's out a sinister looking smile.
"You really still on that ?" Ethan can only sighed at Silver's reaction.
"Hmm...sorry to interrupt, but if you don't mind I would like to ask Serena and Peach for help, the elders also got attacked by Sonia's companions and they're in bad shape as well." Said Clair.
"Of course, we would love to help." Peach agreed to help Clair.
"Thank you, they're in the next room." Clair guide Peach and Serena to the other room.
"So Roy was it ? You really have no pokemons in your world ?" Asked Ethan.
"No, if there's anything resembling monsters we used to have dragons in the past, but unfortunately humans and dragons unable to get along and ends up fighting each other, if anything seeing humans and dragon type pokemons able to get along is like seeing my dream came true." Said Roy. "And if there's a conflict, I have to use my sword to cut my enemies down."
"Everyone have their own fighting style, we who rely on pokemons, Roy who wield weapons, Peach and Serena who can do magic, all of us compliment each other style and able to cover each other weaknesses." Explained Blue.
"So you're a part of a group then Blue, there better not be weakling among them." Said Silver.
"Silver, you heard what Blue said, many of them doesn't even have pokemons, I don't think we can judge their strength with our standards." Replied Ethan.
"Well I am introducing them to pokemon training, but as you can see as pokemons doesn't exist in their world, they're still at beginner level." Said Blue.
"No, it's fine, Ethan's right, they came from a different world with different way of life, I can't determine their strength with our world standard, but I still like to see what i'm getting into first." Said Silver.
"Okay, once you two are discharged from here i'll take you to our base." Said Blue.
Pewter City
The heroes came out from the Shadow portal made by Gengar.
"Welcome to Pewter City everyone, this is where Blue, Green, and me get our first gym badge." Said Red.
"Oh Red, you really made me feel nostalgic, it feels like not long ago when we each start our journey." Green reminiscing the past.
"Hahah I know what you mean, well let's check out the store first." The heroes then went to the store.
As the heroes stand in front of the entrance, the door open and someone came out from the store.
He's a man with spiky brown hair with muscular body, and for some reason his eyes seemed closed.
"Brock ?" Red surprised to see Brock, the gym leader of Pewter City here.
"Red ? Green ? Wow long time no see, what are you doing here ? Oh wait let me guess, you're going to check out this store aren't you ? It has pokemons not found in Kanto region, though they cost a bit expensive if you ask me." Said Brock.
"So Brock, why are you in this store ?" Asked Red.
"I came to see what the store is like, and well the pokemon they sell does not disappoint, there's so many pokemons from many different regions." Answered Brock.
"Green, maybe we should tell Brock about our mission." Red whispered to Green.
"Okay, we need to show him what's going on." Green whispered back.
"You know Brock, we're glad we can see each other again, in fact coming inside this store can wait, let's talk while we're here." Red decided to tell Brock what he's been doing.
"Well why don't we all go to my gym, it's been a while since we last see each other." Brock invite the heroes to enter his gym.
Pewter Gym
Brock brought the heroes to his gym as they enter the gym's backroom. "Okay, we're here, so what do you want to talk about ?"
"Anyway let me introduced myself first, my name is Brock, and I'm the gym leader here in Pewter City." Brock introduced himself. "Red and Green already know me, but I believe I never met you two before."
"Hello I'm Popo." Popo introduce himself.
"And I'm Henry." Henry follow suit.
"Well Brock, we want to talk about that store, we believe there's something suspicious about it." Red started the conversation.
"You do ? Well that makes things easier then." Brock agreeing with Red.
"So you noticed there's something suspicious about that store too ?" Asked Green.
"Yeah, that store opened few weeks ago, it boasted that it sells pokemons not found in Kanto region such as Rockruff, Gothita, Mareep, etc... and as you can see many of the challengers I faced using those kinds of pokemons." Explained Brock. "Which is why I can't help being suspicious, how is it so fast and easy to gather so many pokemons even from faraway region like Unova to here, I hope I'm just being paranoid, but those pokemons better not be a victims of poaching or smuggling."
"I'm afraid that might be the case, those stores are a front of Team Rocket latest business schemes, smuggling pokemons and selling them at high price." Answered Red.
"Apparently Trace, Chase, and Elaine managed to witness Team Rocket's involvement, but because they don't have solid evidence there's not much they can do." Said Green.
"Smuggling is something Team Rocket would obviously do, but how are we supposed to stop this ?" Asked Brock.
"Well that's..." Before Red can speak, someone opened the door.
"Brock ! We need help, the Gigalith owned by one of the gym challenger is on a rampage !" The gym trainer pleaded for Brock's help.
"Okay ! We'll be right there !" Brock and the heroes quickly head to the gym arena.
The heroes arrived to see a quadruped rock monster with red crystals embedded to it is running amok.
"Everyone get to safety !" Brock ordered the gym trainers to take cover as he send out his pokemon. "Come out Steelix !"
Gigalith used Stone Edge at the heroes, shooting many sharp rocks at the heroes, Steelix shield the heroes with it's body, while being steel type means rock type attacks aren't effective, this time however Steelix is feeling the pain as it fell down.
"Steelix !" Brock rushed to his pokemon side.
"That was Stone Edge right ? How is a Steelix got hurt by that ?" Green looked at disbelief.
"There's a chance this may be not an ordinary Gigalith after all." Guessed Red. "With Team Rocket involved with Neo Subspace Army they could do some modifications to this Gigalith."
"We can deduce that later, we need to calm it down first !" Green sent out Venusaur and Red sent out Lapras, Green quickly mega evolve her Venusaur.
Gigalith charged at the heroes to attack them
"Henry can your magic create a sunlight ?" Asked Green.
"Sure it can, one artificial sunlight coming right up !" Henry used his magic to create a sunlight inside the gym.
"Popo you have Growlithe right ? This is the right time to train it, we will back you up." Said Red.
Popo nodded and sent out Growlithe.
"The sunlight should boost Growlithe fire powers." Said Red.
Popo first used his ice powers to freeze the floor, making it slippery.
Gigalith can't control it's movements anymore as it fell down and slide towards the heroes.
With the sunlight Green ordered Venusaur to use Solarbeam at the Gigalith, and Popo command Growlithe to use Ember, the two attacks combined into one powerful beam, blasting the rock pokemon with powerful sunrays combined with fire.
While Gigalith did get pushed back, it's still managed to get back up.
"It can still move even after got hit by Solarbeam !" Green is surprised.
"Henry make the weather rainy !" Said Red as Henry did so.
With rainfall the power of water type move is boosted, Red command Lapras to use Hydro Pump at the Gigalith, however the Gigalith keep pressing on despite being pushed by Hydro Pump.
As Green about to sent out another pokemon to help Red, the ground under Gigalith seemed to crumble as Steelix burst out from below and struck Gigalith, launching it up to the air.
Green command Venusaur to use Petal Dance, slashing Gigalith with numerous flower petals, and Brock command Steelix to use Iron Tail, Henry conjured chains made of magical energy to restrain Gigalith's four legs. Gigalith unable to move as it got hit by Steelix's Iron Tail.
And at the same time the rain Henry conjured has stopped.
The restraints has left Gigalith open to more attacks, but the pokemon refuse to stop, Gigalith open it's mouth and about to fire a Hyper Beam, but Growlithe intercept by using Ember, directed at Gigalith's mouth which caused an explosion and harm Gigalith itself.
Henry teleports and float behind Gigalith and use Nosferatu, draining Gigalith's life force until it became too weak to fight back, and finally the threat is neutralized.
"We finally take it down, this Gigalith sure is powerful." Said Green.
Henry used his magic to see if there's anything unusual about the pokemon, but then he felt shocked as he did see something, but keeping quiet for now.
"Gigalith !" The Gigalith trainer run towards Gigalith and stand by it's side.
"Okay I need explanation, what is happening here ?" Asked Brock.
One of Brock's gym trainer explain what happened, how the challenger sent out Gigalith, however the Gigalith refused to obey it's trainer's order and would rather doing whatever it wants.
The challenger ended up frustrated and hurling insults at Gigalith and making threats to replaced it or releasing it, after too many insults the Gigalith turned on its trainer, and none of the gym trainers can stop it due to its overwhelming power.
"Okay I see." Brock turned to the challenger. "Gigalith isn't a pokemon that can be found in Kanto, are you from Unova ? Or do you buy this Gigalith from the newly opened pokemon store ?"
"I-i bought it from the store, I thought that, if I have a powerful pokemon, I can breeze through the gym challenges." Answered the challenger.
"You fool !" Brock yelled at the kid. "You can't found success through shortcut !"
"Strong pokemons tend to refuse to listen inexperienced trainers, experience, growth, and skill isn't something money can buy ! You need to invest time and effort to do so !" Continued Brock. "Red ! Green ! And myself ! None of us here where we are now by taking shortcuts !"
"I-i'm sorry." The challenger is about to cry after being scolded by Brock.
"Okay, I do hope you learn your lesson, and as for Gigalith, you don't have to release it if you don't want to, but you may not want to send it to battles anytime soon, at least until you become strong enough to gain Gigalith respect." Green comforting the challenger.
"Sorry, but no, it's much too early for you to keep Gigalith, we will hold on to it until you're ready." Henry demand the kid to hand over Gigalith.
"Henry what are you ?" Red questioned Henry however Henry looked at Red with very serious face, causing Red to back down.
"Yeah, you're right I promise not to take shortcuts anymore, I have to put in effort like everyone else to become a great trainer." the challenger agreed to hand over Gigalith to Henry.
"Sorry about my outburst earlier, and look, if you need a mentor or guidance, feel free to come here, I'll be happy to teach you whenever I'm free." Offered Brock.
"Yeah, thank you." The challenger thanked the heroes, sent Gigalith back inside the pokeball and give it to Henry and left the gym, promise to become stronger without taking a shortcut.
"Well that problem is solved." Smiled Green.
"Yeah, and I noticed something as well, Popo and Henry, you fight without pokemons, and Henry did you just fly ?" Asked Brock.
"Should we speak in private ?" Asked Red.
"There's no need, let's just say it here, Brock, Popo and I came from another world, a world where there are no pokemons." Henry decide to just spill everything.
Both Brock and the gym trainers present are shocked by this statement.
"We wanted to tell you this, but since our story would be unbelievable, I ask Henry to use his magic instead of just asking Venusaur to use Sunny Day.
"And also the reason I demand the kid to hand over his Gigalith is because, earlier I used my magic on it, you said this Gigalith is unusual right ? Well I sense a dark Aura surrounding it." Explained Henry.
"Dark Aura ?" Asked Red.
"Yeah, a dark aura emanates from this Gigalith, you can't see it on naked eye it seems, Red you said before that there's a pokemon with this characteristic before, isn't this what you called a Shadow Pokémon ?"
"Yeah, so this Gigalith is a shadow pokemon then ? That would explain it's power and aggression." Said Red. "But from we fight earlier it doesn't seem to use shadow type moves."
"Anything else unusual about this pokemon ?" Asked Brock.
"No, other than disobeying orders because it's a powerful pokemon at the hands of newbie trainer, there's not much else, also it only begin rampaging when it's trainer provoke it too much." Explained the gym trainer.
"Does this means they refined the shadowification process ?" Asked Green.
"That's a strong possibility, profits are one of Team Rocket's goals, having a shadow pokemon attacking their own trainers would be terrible for business." Replied Red.
"Then we need to enter the store, we need to know if all the pokemon sold there are Shadow pokemons or not." Said Henry.
"I'm going out for a bit, take care of the gym while I'm gone." Brock entrusted the gym trainers as he return to the pokemon store with the heroes.
Blackthorn City
Thanks to Serena and Peach healing magic, Ethan, Silver, and the dragon elders gets to be discharged early, with the heroes briefed the elders on who their attackers are.
"Thanks for helping us, honestly I wouldn't know what to do if you hadn't show up." Clair thanked the heroes.
"I guess you really developed as a character huh Clair ? No longer the same sore loser when I beat you." Smiled Ethan.
Clair glared at Ethan as she's feeling embarrassed of her previous action.
"So does this means we're done here ? We are here to heal your friends, and now
they're finally discharged from the hospital." Said Serena.
"Yeah, and well we did promise to show the mansion to Ethan and Silver, so shall we get going ?" Asked Blue.
"Sure I don't have anything else to do for the time being." Answered Ethan.
"Yeah, might as well see what we're getting into." Said Silver.
However at that moment a pokemon resemble a large blue alligator running towards at the city, terrifying the people.
The heroes took notice and run towards the pokemon.
"A Feraligatr ? In a city ?" Ethan looked confused.
"Maybe it belongs to someone else ?" Asked Silver.
The Feraligatr saw the heroes and running towards them.
As the heroes ready to fight, the Feraligatr stopped and making strange gesture and growls.
"Uuh...what is it doing ?" Asked Silver.
"If Link were here he can translate for us." Said Peach.
"Let's try using our golden plates instead." Blue puts the golden plate in front of Feraligatr and it begun translating.
"I'm glad I found you here, I need help, my trainer is in trouble ! She told me to come and find you guys, she's in the Ice Path confronting a pokemon poacher !" Said the Feraligatr.
"You know us ? Wait ! Could it be you're Krys's Feraligatr !?" Exclaimed Ethan which Feraligatr nodded.
"If Krys is in trouble we need to help her ! Show us the way Feraligatr !" Feraligatr run off as Ethan follow it to the Ice Path.
"Ethan ! Wait ! And there he goes...that guy always like this." Remarked Silver. "Anyway let's follow him, Ice Path isn't exactly easy to traverse through."
The heroes quickly follow Ethan to the Ice Path.
Pewter City - Pokémon Store
The heroes return to the store to investigate.
"Welcome to the Pokémon Store." Greeted the clerk." Hey aren't you Red and Green !? It's an honor to have someone of your caliber visit our humble store !"
"Ahahahah, thank you miss, we are very curious about this newly opened store, so we're here to check it out." Said Green.
"Of course ! Feel free to look around, just come to this counter once you decide on which pokemon to buy." The clerk smiled politely.
Red whispered to Henry. "Alright Henry use your magic again, see how many of them are Shadow Pokemons."
Henry nodded as he begin using his magic, and what he discover is turns out not all of them are Shadow Pokémon.
"Oh wow, all these prices are quite high." Green looking at the price tags.
"Apologies for the inconvenience, but many of these pokemons are imported from different regions, some even have perfect IV's so I'm afraid the price have to be on the expensive side." Answered the clerk.
"Oh you're right, there's a Minccino over here !" Green looked at the pokemon name written on the tag attached to the pokeball.
"Ooh Red I want this one ! Can you buy this one for me !" Henry apparently sent out a Duskull from the pokeball.
"Oh if you don't mind i'd like to buy something for Noire too, do you have recommendations ?" Asked Henry. "I was thinking of something cute and not dark."
"I recommend a fairy type pokemon." Red looked around and saw a pokemon that may be perfect for Noire. "This pokemon is called Milcery, it's adorable, and outside battle, they're helpful in the kitchen."
"This is perfect ! Let's buy these two !" Henry and Red went to the counter to pay.
"So a Duskull and Milcery, that would be 150,000 pokedollars." Said the clerk as Red grudgingly paid for the purchase.
"Have a nice day !" The clerk waved at the heroes as they leave the store.
Pewter City
"I can't believe just two pokemons cost that much." Red still bitter for losing a lot of money.
"Why ? You haven't been wasteful with your money do you ?" Asked Green.
"No, but still..." Red expressed his dislike of spending too much money.
"Sorry Red, but since Tharja have her own Pokémon, I'm thinking I want to have one too, and for Noire as well." Said Henry.
"It's fine, we'd like it if other people showed interest in pokemons, but next time we're catching one rather than buying one." Replied Red.
"So...going back to business, any Shadow Pokemons in there ?" Asked Green.
"Right, so turns out not all of the pokemons possess a dark aura." Answered Henry.
"Guess that's makes sense, that would make it too obvious." Said Brock.
"One other thing I notice though, the price tag for Shadow pokemons are the incredibly expensive ones." Continued Henry.
"And what about the clerk ? Is she just a regular employee who doesn't know the full story or what ?" Asked Popo.
"No, she's a Team Rocket agent in disguise." Answered Henry. "I use my magic to read her mind when Red is paying for my pokemon."
"We got our answers, but without evidence to back it up, the police can't act." Said Brock.
"Hmm...there's something I want to try first, Green or Brock, battle me, i'll be using Gigalith for the battle." Demanded Red.
"Umm...is this really the time for this ?" Asked Green.
"You know, I've heard that battling can slowly purify a Shadow Pokémon, is this what you're aiming for Red ?" Asked Brock.
"Some of the reason yeah, look it's been a few years since the Shadow Pokémon incident, who knows what kind of changes Team Rocket made with the shadowification process." Explained Red.
"That is true." Pondered Green.
"Let's find a secluded spot, I'd rather not have people watching us battling." Said Red.
"I suggest Mt. Silver, there's usually no one there." Suggested Brock.
"That's perfect, we'll do it at the mountain summit where I used to train." Said Red.
"Come out Espeon." Red sent out Espeon. "Espeon, take us to the summit of Mt. Silver where we used to train."
Espeon obeyed as it teleport the heroes to Red's intended location.
Ice Path
"It's really cold in here." Serena shivers from the cold.
"I guess it's time for you to come out." Blue sent out Incineroar. "It's very cold in here, can you help warm us ?"
Incineroar emits heat from it's body so the heroes won't be affected by the cold.
"Well that's better, thanks Incineroar." Serena thanked Incineroar as the pokemon pretend to act nonchalant.
"This should be enough, I won't be sending out my Arcanine, this place the only home for ice type pokemons, it would be bad for many of the ice to melt here." Said Blue.
"Maybe I can help warm things up a bit." Roy pull out the binding blade and generate flames, further warming things and lighting the way.
"Wow a flaming sword ! That's so cool !" Exclaimed Ethan. "You'd only see that on TV !"
"I suppose I can see why you don't need your pokemon to fight for you if you have something like that." Remarked Silver.
"Oh hold on, I know a spell for this." Serena played her harp and cast the Hymn of Ice, the heroes are given ice resistance from hearing Serena's magic music.
"Hey I'm not feeling cold anymore !" Exclaimed Ethan.
"Fascinating, so this is magic from other world." Clair is by Serena's magic.
"Well now that's settled, Feraligatr, take us to where Krys is." Said Ethan as Feraligatr begin running.
"Follow it ! And be careful, some of the floors are slippery here." Warned Clair.
The heroes followed Feraligatr, fending off several wild pokemons along the way such as Zubat, Golbat, Swinub, Sneasel. Peach almost tripped on the slippery floors, etc. Not long after they hear a human voice, which means they're almost there.
The heroes hide behind the boulders to see what they're up against. They saw familiar faces as Krys is restrained, however Krys is not captured alone as there's another girl with her, she has brown hair, wearing red shirt and blue overall and white puffy hat.
"Krys got caught, and why is Lyra here ?" Asked Ethan.
"Krys and Lyra are powerful trainers themselves, how did they get captured ?" Asked Silver.
"Look at who's fighting them." Blue point at the people confronting Krys and Lyra.
"That's Warren, Navarre, Caesar, Castor, Radd, Jeorge, and Norne." Said Roy.
"They don't seem to use any pokemon among them." Clair observing their enemy carefully.
"You know them Roy ?" Asked Ethan.
"They're not exactly from my world, but yes all of them used to be a part of an army whose goal is to liberate the continent from a conquering dragon king." Explained Roy. "And how do I know them ? Let's just say it's a long story."
"This must be why Krys and Lyra got defeated, other than fighting against experienced soldiers, I doubt they will use their pokemons to attack people directly." Said Blue.
"And look at the pokeball haul behind them, they must've captured a lot of pokemons living here." Said Clair.
"We don't have a choice, sorry about this you guys, but this is how we deal with our enemies now." Blue grabbed a pokeball.
"You'll never get away with this !" Yelled Krys as she and Lyra pinned to a wall with arrows on their shirts.
"Sorry about this, but we have our orders." Jeorge apologize to Krys and Lyra, he then turned around to his comrades. "This number of pokemons captured should be enough."
Soon after Jeorge start floating in midair.
"What ! What is happening !" Jeorge started to panic as he begin flailing around.
Jeorge's comrades also begin to float as they begin to panic, and then all of them, with high speed pinned to the cave walls.
"Now !" Blue takes charge as the heroes came out from hiding. "Ethan ! Silver ! Release the captured pokemons ! Roy, Peach, Serena, and Clair keep an eye on the surroundings ! Alakazam, don't let them move ! Incineroar you're with me, let's pull out the arrows on Krys and Lyra's clothes !"
The heroes did exactly that, and Krys and Lyra are freed.
"You two okay ?" Asked Blue.
"Yeah, these people, they use weapons, real weapons !" Exclaimed Lyra.
"I know you warn me about this Blue, but when I really do have to attack people with my pokemons, I hesitated." Krys looked down.
"I won't hold this against you, this is a new kind of enemy we're dealing with." Said Blue. "Anyway let's release those captured pokemons."
Blue, Krys, and Lyra joins Silver and Ethan into releasing the captured pokemons.
"Look at how many they captured, are they trying to depopulate the Ice Path ?" Ask Ethan as he released a Swinub from a pokeball.
"They're just like Team Rocket." Grumbled Silver as he released a Jynx and Delibird.
With barely half of the captured pokemon released, the pokeballs suddenly float above.
"What happened ? Why are the pokeballs floating !?" Exclaimed Ethan as the heroes looked upwards.
A breeze of wind can be felt, but soon it suddenly turned into a Gust of strong winds, they saw a green haired man hovering above.
"That's Merric ! He must've caused this strong wind !" Roy is shielding his face.
"Well we can't let him interrupt us ! Pidgeot come out !" Blue send out Pidgeot, and not wasting time he quickly Mega Evolve Pidgeot.
Mega Pidgeot then use Hurricane to counter Merric's tornado, with Pidgeot mega evolved, Merric's tornado quickly overpowered.
As Mega Pidgeot's Hurricane about to reached Merric, he conjure another powerful wind to counter Mega Pidgeot's Hurricane.
With Merric's wind magic dissipates, the pokeballs begin to fall, however as the heroes scrambled to grab them, a razor wind flew past the heroes as they instinctively dodged, they saw a fat man wearing a sleeveless brown vest, white shirt with a kanji word in it, and for some reason wearing a sunglasses despite being inside a cave.
"I'm Samurai Goroh ! The greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy !" The man introduced himself in a bombastic manner.
With the heroes distracted, Blue's Alakazam got blasted by a lightning, releasing the Archanean warriors from Alakazam's power.
The heroes looked behind to see Claus leading the Pigmask Army.
"He looks a lot like Lucas, ah he must be Lucas's twin brother that he mentioned a lot !" Exclaimed Peach.
Claus used his PSI Power to create a projection of a blonde boy whose hair covering his eyes.
"Greetings do gooders, since this is the first time we've met allow me to introduce myself, I am Pokey Minch, you can say I'm a very good friend to both Ness and Lucas." Pokey introduce himself.
"Ness and Lucas told us about you, and from what they say, you didn't act like a friend at all." Said Roy. "Well Ness did try to reach out to you."
"He did didn't he ? Well if you see him again tell him I miss Ness, in fact I'm ready to play with him again, these pokemons, I thought they were just some mindless monsters, but they possess so much potential ! I can't wait to turn them into Chimeras, what kind of combination will happen ? It's excite me to think about it !" Continued Pokey.
"You will not subjects all these pokemons to your crazy experimentation ! I don't care how young you are, we will not stand for this !" Shouted Blue.
"Yes yes, I love an opposition, this will make things more challenging, well Claus I leave them to you now." Claus ended the holographic projection.
Right after this, the Yiga Clan appeared in front of the pokeball haul, led by a tall muscular imposing member, the distinction is this one have a ponytail with two branching hair style.
"That getup, you're with the Yiga Clan !" Exclaimed Peach.
"I am Sooga, the right hand of Master Kohga, and these pokemons, the Yiga Clan have interests in them as well." Sooga introduced himself. "I see many of you are still children, I suggest you all to turn back now, I'd rather not turn my blade on children."
"Ethan, Krys, Lyra, Silver, Clair, do what he says, Neo Subspace Army will not hesitate to attack us should we stand in their way." Warned Blue.
"But !" Ethan tried to argue.
"If you insist to stick with us then, you better be ready to do this !" Blue sent out Arcanine and ride on it. "Pidgeot ! Alakazam ! Take down the enemy, don't let them near the pokeballs !"
Warren shoot an arrow at Blue only for Alakazam to stopped it with telekinesis and shot it back at him only for Navarre to slash the arrow with his sword.
"I'm truly sorry about this." Merric cast Elwind at Blue only for Serena to counter it with her Swoosh spell.
Arcanine use Fire Blast and Serena combine it with her Kaswoosh spell, creating a fiery tornado that burns Merric.
Goroh tried to take the pokeballs as Roy stops him, he shoot a fire projectile from the Binding Blade to stop Goroh.
Knowing he won't be getting anywhere with Roy getting in his way, Goroh swinging swords as he and Roy stuck in a blade lock.
"Samurai Goroh, we've heard of you from Cpt. Falcon." Said Roy.
"You should be honored, you got to face the greatest rival of Cpt. Falcon." Bragged Goroh. "By the way you look young how old are you ?"
"I'm 15, why ?" Asked Roy.
"You should stand down kid, I might be a criminal, but harming kids is too much for me." Goroh tried to get Roy to back down.
"Sorry, but I won't, I will not let Neo Subspace Army get away with this smuggling operation." Roy's Binding Blade begin to generate fire.
Samurai Goroh jumped backwards as Roy swing his sword and shoot a crescent shaped fire projectile, however Samurai Goroh did the same and backed by the cold environment, Samurai Goroh wind projectile manage to snuff out Roy's fire.
Sooga keep swinging his sword as Peach able to dodge every strike.
As Peach managed to do a backflip to avoid the latest attack, once her feet touch the ground she is quickly ambushed by two Yiga Footsoldiers who appeared out of nowhere.
Both Yiga Footsoldiers grabbed Peach's arms, leaving her wide open to attacks.
"I apologize for this, but I can't disobey an order, at the very least I will give you a painless death." Sooga raised his katana with both hands holding it, attempting to finish Peach off.
Peach however blasted the two Yiga Footsoldiers with a heart shaped projectile from her hands, with Sooga distracted, Peach pull out a Super Bell from her dress and transform into Cat Peach, and she begin to pounce at Sooga.
Claus command his army to retrieve the pokeballs, he order several soldiers to hold the trainers back by pointing their weapons at the Johto trainers.
"Wh-what are we suppose to do ? Are we really going to attack people using pokemon directly ?" Krys is hesitating.
Feraligatr wished to save its trainer, but Claus teleport in front of it. "If you wish for your trainers to be unharmed, then stand down, do as I say and I promise no harm will come to her."
Hearing this Feraligatr had no choice but to obey.
The pokemon trainers see Blue riding Arcanine as Arcanine using Flamethrower on Sooga, who Blue is foghting right now, which the Yiga Ninja dodge.
And also Serena cast the Dazzle spell on Merric as he got blinded by the spell, Mega Pidgeot and Cat Peach sync their attacks by using Wing Attack and her claws at the same time.
Blue notices the Archanean warriors and the Pigmask Army are retrieving the pokeballs, so he sent out the rest of his pokemons, Blastoise, Gyarados, and Rhyperior to back up Alakazam.
Rhyperior uses Rock Slide, summoning rocks from above the skies and rain them down on the enemy.
Navarre uses his wind power to blow the rocks away from hitting him and his allies.
Blastoise use its cannon to shoot a stream of water at the ground, impeding the enemy movements from the strong water currents coming from Blastoise cannon, with Gyarados used Aqua Tail to slam the ground, while Alakazam prevent the Pigmask Army from reaching the pokeballs, teleporting their weapons away and telekinetically lifted them to the air and pin them on the cave wall.
"Warren, Castor, Norne, take cover we need to take a safe distance from the enemy !" Commanded Jeorge as the archers retreated.
Incineroar saw this and chase after them, Norne and Castor running while shooting arrows, Incineroar quickly used Darkest Lariat to destroy the arrows coming at it.
Incineroar used Flamethrower to attack both Castor and Norne, burning their bows, forcing both of them to throw away their bows.
"Castor ! Norne !" Jeorge turn back and shoot an arrow from his bow as Incineroar dodge the attack.
"Jeorge ! Buy me some time while i set up a trap !" Warren have a plan.
"Right, i'll try to buy you time." Jeorge and Warren run further away from the heroes, deciding to lure Incineroar to a trap.
Unfortunately for them Incineroar doesn't chase after them, and instead return to where the heroes are, it also grabbed Castor and Norne by the collar.
"Jeorge ! It's not chasing us anymore !" Warren looked back to see Incineroar punched and slammed Castor and Norne to the cave walls, dragging Castor and Norne away.
"Well then..." Jeorge readied his bow again, however, he didn't use any arrows, but instead he seem to create a lightning construct to look like an arrow, Jeorge shot it at Incineroar.
Incineroar didn't realize an attack coming it's way, but as it noticed, it's too late as Incineroar got shot in the face, forcing it to release Castor and Norne.
"Castor ! Norne ! In case your weapons destroyed, what are our orders !?" Asked Jeorge.
"Unleash your full power." Caesar and Norne Answered at the same time.
Norne fire a light projectile from her hand, while Castor obscure Incineroar's eyesight with darkness.
Jeorge and Warren shoot their arrows infused with lightning and wind powers respectively at the ground where Incineroar is standing on four corners resembling a square, the wind and lightning projectile fused to form an electric tornado which attacks Incineroar as the pokemon fall down.
"Caesar, Radd, with me !" Commanded Navarre as he uses his wind speed to go after the pokeballs.
Alakazam notices this and as it point the Pigmask Army guns at them, Caesar and Radd slice the guns into two.
The two Mercenaries about to swing their swords against Alakazam, however Alakazam teleports away and use Focus Blast on the two Mercenaries, Alakazam now focused on stopping Navarre, however Alakazam's body suddenly froze as it's legs and torso are covered in ice.
Caesar is revealed to be the ones doing it, apparently ice is the elemental powers he possess.
Radd emits a fireball in his hand, but Caesar stops him. "No need to attack further, your powers are just going to melt the ice, we should seize the chance to complete our mission."
The Johto trainers still surrounded by the Pigmask Army, however among them Silver is done feeling helpless.
"Psst Ethan." Silver whispered at Ethan.
"What ?" Ethan looked at Silver.
"Send out Typhlosion, and use Smokescreen to provide distraction." Answered Silver.
"So you really going with this ?" Asked Ethan.
"There's no choice, if we want to stop them we can't use our usual methods anymore." Replied Silver. "Blue already used his pokemon to attack people, there's no point in having the moral high ground anymore."
"Alright, but promised me you won't be going back to your old ways." Replied Ethan. "I still think this is a slippery slope."
"I promise, you were the one who taught me that." Said Silver.
"Hey I saw that ! What are you two whispering about !?" One of the Pigmask soldier caught Ethan and Silver whispering.
"You want the pokemons right ? I'm willing to give up mine !" Exclaimed Ethan.
"What !" This statement made Krys, Lyra, Clair, and the Pigmask Army themself looked at Ethan in disbelief.
"Ethan What are you doing !?" Exclaimed Krys.
"There's no point in resisting anymore, we're outnumbered, Blue and the others still not done with fighting, there's no one else who can save us." Said Ethan. "So there are no other choice but to surrender."
"Commander !" One of the soldiers call out to Claus.
"Yes ?" Claus walk towards the soldier.
"This boy said he want to hand over his pokemons to us." The soldier points at Ethan.
Claus then speak to Ethan. "You wish to hand over your pokemon to us ?"
"Yes, let us go and all my pokemon will be yours." Said Ethan.
Unfortunately for Ethan, Claus possess PSI powers, while he never had a chance to learn PSI techniques because of his death and brainwashed into the Masked Man, this time, with his mind restored and affiliated with Neo Subspace Army he did receive proper training and turn into a powerful PSI wielder and so he can tell Ethan is lying.
"I can tell you're lying." Said Claus.
Ethan is shocked Claus knows he's lying, and as the Pigmask Army ready to shoot the Johto trainers, Feraligatr decided to spring into action and use Surf, washing away the Pigmask Army, Lyra quickly sent out Meganium and use Light Screen to protect her and her friends from Feraligatr's Surf.
Silver then sent out Weavile as the Surf subsided, Silver command Weavile to destroy the Pigmask Army weapons, Weavile obeyed as it slices the Pigmask guns to several pieces.
"Good, Weavile use Night Slash on those people dressed like a pink Tepig !" Silver give his command as Weavile did slashes the Pigmask Army mercilessly.
With the army dealt with Silver walk over to Claus. "It's best if you retreat kid."
"I'm sorry, but I can't, PK Thunder !" Claus use PK Thunder on Silver, knocking the redhead down as he fell on his knees.
"Sorry about this." Lyra sent out Marill this time. "Marill Ice Beam !" Marill use Ice Beam at Claus, freezing the boy solid.
"So should we leave him like this ?" Asked Ethan.
"We should help Blue for now, he would know what to do." Suggested Krys.
"The fighting on their end doesn't seem to be over." Clair pointed at the heroes struggle.
"Then we should help turn the tides." Rallied Ethan as the Johto trainers ready to help the heroes.
Samurai Goroh and Sooga team up and by swinging their katanas create an X shaped razor wind at Roy, which he dodged just in time.
"Not bad, you seem to be able to handle the Windcleaver just fine." Sooga praised Goroh.
"This is no different from my usual weapons, although the Windcleaver can shoot projectile which is better." Replied Goroh.
Roy stabbed the ground with the Binding Blade, surrounding him with a vortex of fire, and the fire melted the frozen Alakazam.
Merric continued his onslaught by blasting wind magic after wind magic, as Arcanine about to burn him, Blue find himself surrounded by darkness.
Gyarados fly towards Castor, however Norne blind it with her light power, causing Gyarados to miss it's target and crashed to a wall.
Unbeknownst to Castor and Norne, a plant seed is flying towards them, and as it hits the ground the seed exploded, with Castor knocked down this dissipates Castor's darkness on Blue as it revealed he sent out Exeggutor using Seed Bomb.
However as Blue already brought six pokemons with him, he teleported his Exeggutor with his golden plate.
Already preparing themselves for the mission, Roy pull out a Double Cherry and eat it, creating a clone of himself.
Roy give his copy a Tanooki Leaf, the clone absorbed it and become Tanooki Roy.
Sooga teleports behind Roy and his clone, and as Sooga about to stab the clone, the clone turned into an invulnerable statue.
As Roy about to strike Sooga, Samurai Goroh shoot another razor wind, only for Mega Pidgeot to intercept it with Air Slash.
Roy managed to slash Sooga, Sooga managed to teleports away and at after that Mega Pidgeot used Air Slash on Goroh.
Sooga was able to save Goroh by teleporting him from Air Slash.
Blue hang tight to Arcanine as it used Extremespeed to attack the Archanean warriors.
Blue noticed Incineroar is in bad shape, he opened his bag and grabbed the healing materia, and used it to heal Incineroar with Curaga.
The Yiga Footsoldiers aiming to kill Blue, Arcanine use Flamethrower to attack them, however they all teleported above and dive down to struck Blue from above.
Rhyperior emerge from the cavern walls and rammed against the Yiga Footsoldiers.
With Caesar, Radd, and Navarre busy with the pokeballs, Peach, still in cat form pounce at the three, making them fall and dropped the pokeballs.
Caesar and Radd swing their swords at Peach only for her to caught them with her bare hands.
Unfortunately this left her open to Navarre. "I'm truly sorry, I vow never harm a woman with my weapon, but..."
Peach, knowing Navarre had no choice, she decided to teleports away using her magic.
With Peach gone they resume to collecting the pokeballs, however Peach used her telekinesis to pin them to the floor.
Jeorge, Warren and several Yiga Footsoldiers keep their distance as all of them firing arrows from their bows.
Alakazam and Exeggutor use Reflect to protect the heroes from the arrows.
"Draco Meteor !" A meteor rain down from above despite being inside a cave, and struck down the archers, Clair ride her Salamence as it fly in midair.
Ethan sent out Ambipom and he and Silver with Weavile goes after Sooga.
Weavile use Ice Shard and Ambipom use Agility. Sooga managed to intercept the ice shards coming at him, but Ambipom appeared behind him and use Double Hit.
Gyarados got up and use Aqua Tail on the Yiga Footsoldiers.
Krys and Lyra goes after the pokeballs, but first they command Feraligatr and Marill to use Ice Punch and Ice Beam to freeze Navarre, Radd, and Caesar, with the distractions gone Krys and Lyra continue releasing all the pokemons caught in Ice Path.
Sooga now seeing the odds against him and Neo Subspace Army decided to pull a last ditch effort.
He teleport to a high platform, used a self duplication sheikah technique, turning him into 3 people and then he and his two clones used a sheikah summon technique, with the Yiga Clan tied to Ganon, Sooga and his clones summon Lynels, a Red Lynel, Blue Lynel, and Silver Lynel. "Lynel's distract them !"
The three Lynels shoot an arrow as they all jumped down from the high platform.
Meganium and Alakazam both used Reflect, creating a barrier to protect the heroes from the incoming arrows.
Red Lynel run towards Ethan, it unsheath it's sword, intending to slash him, Ethan frozen in fear as he's unable to move, and as the Lynel swing it's sword, Typhlosion managed to take the hit from Ethan as the pokemon fell down. The Lynel then raised its sword and about to struck Ethan, but then a shadow portal is formed underneath the Lynel and it fell down.
"Ethan get a grip !" Silver grabbed Ethan's shoulder and shook his body, next to Silver is his Gengar who is responsible for making the Shadow portal.
"S-sorry Silver, Typhlosion !" Ethan run to Typhlosion, fortunately it's not badly hurt from the strike. "You didn't seem badly hurt, can you stand ?" Asked Ethan.
Typhlosion get up, proving it can still fight.
"This isn't an enemy we usually deal with, but I believe join forces we can take this thing down." Silver encouraged Ethan.
"Yeah you're right." Ethan get his fighting spirit back.
The Shadow portal formed near the ceiling as the Lynel fell from a very high altitude and crashing to the ground.
"Now's our chance ! Ambipom use Thief ! Steal the sword !" Ambipom did what Ethan said as it punched the Lynel's arm and steal it's sword.
"Weavile ! Use Thief too and steal it's bow !" Weavile obeyed Silver's command and steal the Lynel's bow.
"We disarmed it !" Shouted Ethan.
Unfortunately, the Lynel mouth becomes fiery as it spits out fireball from it's mouth.
Typhlosion run towards the fireball and countered with Flamethrower, the clash of fire techniques create an explosion.
Blue Lynel is shooting arrows at Salamence, but it able to dodge the incoming arrows with its maneuvering.
Clair sent out Dragonair to back her up, Clair command Dragonair to use Dragon Pulse which it does, but the Blue Lynel uses its shield to protect itself.
Meganium used Body Slam as it jumped and slammed itself at the Lynel, and Feraligatr punched it's face with Ice Punch.
"Meganium use Poison Powder !" Commanded Lyra as Meganium spreading toxic powder around the Blue Lynel.
With it's body poisoned the Blue Lynel can't move as it used to, it grab it's bow, wanting to shoot either Krys, Lyra, or Clair however with it's poisoned body it can't held the arrow straight.
Dragonair coils around one of Blue Lynel's leg and fires Dragon Pulse form point blank range, the explosion caused from the attack caused Blue Lynel to fell down as it dropped it's bow and sword.
"Feraligatr use Outrage !" Commanded Krys as Feraligatr violently assaults the downed Blue Lynel, giving it a brutal beating.
"Marill use Ice Beam !" Lyra command Marill as it did so.
The Blue Lynel lower torso is frozen from Marill's attack.
Meganium used Razor Leaf, bombarding the Lynel with sharp leaves, as it's body is weakened by the poison, it had a hard time raising it's shield to protect itself, so the Lynel's body get several cuts from the Razor Leaf.
The Silver Lynel goes after the heroes, as it grab it's spear and charge at the heroes, Exeggutor used Reflect, shielding the heroes from the Lynel attack, Alakazam then teleports near the Lynel and teleports all it's weapons and shield away.
The Lynel is in shock for being completely disarmed, this gives opening for Roy to struck it with the Binding Blade, slashing the Lynel's chest, however while the Lynel is in pain, it's durable body means the damage isn't too deep.
"Roy, the Tanooki suit allows you to turn into a statue right ?" Blue ask the Roy clone. "Crush the Lynel with that technique, we'll keep it in place !" Said Blue.
"Got it !" Still in Tanooki suit Roy flap his tail and fly above.
"Alakazam give me that spear !" Exclaimed Serena as Alakazam did so.
The Lynel then get down on all six, and charged at Blue, however Incineroar grapple hold it while Blastoise shoot water on the floor, making it slippery, as the Silver Lynel slipped and it's attack is interrupted, the Silver Lynel about to spit a fireball, but Peach used her magic to weaken the Silver Lynel, Silver Lynel ended up only spewing small fireball, with Silver Lynel is weaken Incineroar isn't affected by Silver Lynel fireballs, the pokemon walked close to Silver Lynel lift the monster up in the air and slammed it to the ground.
Peach used her Freeze Frame technique, a blank photo appeared underneath the Lynel and immobilize it, and as Peach give the signal, Roy clone turned into a statue and fall down on the Lynel on high speed, crushing the beast with full force.
The Lynel too weak to get up, Serena stand in front of the Lynel, and with the spear use Thunder Thrust, triggering a critical strike and because of the slippery floor, send the beast flying and crashing into the Red and Blue Lynel as the three crash into a wall.
"We beat them." Ethan smiled at the victory.
"Not yet ! My pokemons gather ! Destroy those Lynels with your powerful attacks !" Commanded Blue, as Mega Pidgeot use Hurricane, Arcanine use Fire Blast, Alakazam use Focus Blast, Exeggutor use Leaf Storm, Rhyperior use Stone Edge, Blastoise use Hydro Cannon, and lastly Gyarados with Thrash.
And just like Hyrulean monsters when they defeated, the Lynels dissipates into black smoke, while leaving it's equipment and body parts behind.
"Now it's over." Said Blue.
"Blue, what was that ?" Asked Ethan.
"Those are Lynels, they're monsters from a land called Hyrule, a location from a world different from ours, and they're not like pokemons, they're creation of a malevolent demon lord." Explained Blue.
"So, this is what we're dealing with ?" Asked Silver.
"Yeah, we would like to ask for your help for this very reason, I know this isn't our usual enemy, but the enemy possess more manpower than us." Said Blue.
"Wait, before that, Krys, Lyra what are you doing here ?" Asked Ethan.
"Well I'm thinking of doing research on pokemons living in Ice Path, you know how uncommon sights ice type pokemons are." Explained Krys.
"And as for me, today is slow day on the day care, I tried contacting you Ethan, but you didn't answer, so I contacted Krys to talk, and so after hearing what she's doing I decided to accompany her to Ice Path." Explained Lyra.
"And obviously, we ran into those poachers, Lyra and i got caught, and I sent Feraligatr to go get help in case we can't stop them, I was thinking of getting Clair's help, luckily you and Silver are also at Blackthorn City." Continued Krys.
"I don't expect things to escalate this much, with us encountering otherworldly monsters." Said Lyra.
"Yeah, none of us expect this to happen, the poachers turns out to be from another worlds as well, and they fight without using pokemons...Wait ! The pokeballs !" Clair remembered as the heroes looked behind to see the pokeball haul is gone.
"We got distracted fighting the Lynels, the enemy escaped with the pokeballs !" Exclaimed Serena.
"Look let's get back to my gym first and let's talk what we do from here in out." Suggested Clair.
"Good idea, let's do that, everyone return inside." Blue and all the pokemon trainers put their pokemons back inside the pokeballs, after that Peach used her golden plate to return to Blackthorn City.
Mt. Silver
Red take the others to Mt. Silver summit, where he spends time training after defeating Blue, Mt. Silver is a dangerous place full of strong pokemons, because of this access are limited to very few trainers who prove their worth, and one such trainer is Red.
Because of such condition to enter Mt. Silver, barely anyone allowed to enter the place, so this makes the perfect place to battle without getting too many attention.
"Okay so let's do a little recap before we begin, we decide to battle at Mt. Silver because Red is a very famous trainer, any battles involving him will no doubt draw attention." Said Brock.
"And there's the fact that Red is using a Shadow Pokémon, if it like at the gym, there's a chance it can go berserk and attacking onlookers." Continued Green.
"Exactly why we're using a remote location like here, well let's get this started." Red sent out Gigalith and Green sent out Venusaur.
Red sprayed Gigalith with a Full Restore, healing it, and then he placed the Rock Z-Crystal on Gigalith.
"You're using a Z-Crystal on Gigalith ?" Asked Green.
"Yeah, I wonder if such devices can work on Shadow Pokémon or not." Said Red.
"Okay, but if you do use a Z-Move I'm mega evolving Venusaur." Replied Green.
Red tried scanning Gigalith using his pokedex, checking if there's anything different about Gigalith, only to find nothings wrong. "According to pokedex there's nothing out of the ordinary, what about this i wonder ?"
Red tried scanning again, but this time with the golden plate, Red is surprised to see the result, but he calmed down and proceed to start with the battle. "Sure, ready when you are." Red is ready for the battle.
"And battle start, Now !" Brock act as a referee.
"Gigalith ! Stone Edge !" Red give his order as Gigalith use the Stone Edge move, while Green command Venusaur to use Vine Whip, to whip away the incoming sharp rocks.
Venusaur whipped away the incoming rocks, and while it did so, Gigalith used Rock Slide, summoning multiple boulders from above and rain down on Venusaur, Venusaur run away to avoid the fallen boulders.
Gigalith use Stone Edge again and shoot sharp rocks at the still running Venusaur, however during the run Venusaur secretly throwing Leech Seed at Gigalith.
With Gigalith stop using Stone Edge, the Leech Seed take effect and snare itself on Gigalith and sapped it's energy.
Venusaur used Sunny Day, making the sunlight hotter, but the true purpose of this move is to use the Solarbeam move without charging, Venusaur use Solarbeam to attack Gigalith, the stone Pokémon got blasted from the powerful sun rays.
However Gigalith still able to fight despite taking such hit.
Venusaur is about to hit Gigalith again with Solarbeam, but at this moment is when things gets serious.
"Gigalith use Shadow Sky !" Commanded Red, as Gigalith did so, darkness covers the area and blocking Sunny Day effect as Venusaur Solarbeam is stopped, and with Shadow Sky in effect, Venusaur ended up getting hurt for not being a Shadow Pokemon.
By using a shadow move, Gigalith has entered reverse mode as it emits a black aura, however this increase of power comes with a price as Gigalith is feeling pain on it's body.
Gigalith has gotten more aggressive as it begin to charge at Venusaur, Red tried to stop it but Gigalith won't listen, in it's mind defeating the enemy is the only goal.
Venusaur use Petal Dance and struck the Gigalith with sharp petals, still undeterred Gigalith continue attacking as Venusaur use Power Whip to lash out beatings at Gigalith, Venusaur strangled Gigalith's neck with Vine Whip and throw the pokemon away.
Gigalith use Rollout as it encase itself with a rock shell and charge at Venusaur.
Venusaur once again use Power Whip, destroying the rock shell and stopping Gigalith in it's tracks.
Despite being badly hurt Gigalith refuse to stop, seeing nows the right time, Red tried to activate a Z move, however the Z Crystal won't respond, Red pulled off the rock type Z move dance, but there's no effect on the Gigalith.
Gigalith struggled to move, but in the end the pokemon fell as the Leech Seed completely drain Gigalith energy.
Brock declared Green the winner and the Shadow Sky effect wore off as Red put Gigalith back inside the pokeball.
"Great battle Green." Red congratulate Green for beating him.
"Thanks, but you are using a Shadow Pokémon so I doubt I actually earn this victory." Green downplaying her victory.
"Let's get the Gigalith treated first, there's a pokemon center at the base of the mountain." With Brock's suggestion the heroes went to the pokemon center.
Mt. Silver Pokémon Center
Red and Green give nurse Joy Gigalith and Venusaur pokeballs and have them treated, Red and Green then regroup with the others at the nearby table.
"Alright Red what do you learn from that battle ?" Asked Brock.
"Learning from the battle earlier, Gigalith obeyed my commands faithfully, I guess the rampage from earlier is because of a novice trainer using strong pokemon, there's nothing new there." Answered Red. "I wonder if the shadowfication process have been improved since then ?"
"Before you continue how do you know that Gigalith know the Shadow Sky move ?" Asked Green.
"I used my golden plate, when I use my pokedex on the Gigalith it didn't show that Gigalith know any Shadow Move at all, but with the golden plate, it does shows." Answered Red.
"It's not showing on the pokedex ? Do you think the Shadow Pokémon moves are undetectable by Pokedex ?" Asked Brock
"If that's true, i guess it's to hide the fact that this is a shadow pokemon." Pondered Green.
"Then I don't understand, it still has the characteristic of emitting dark aura by entering reverse mode, won't people notice something's wrong ? The existence of Shadow Pokemons aren't exactly a secret." Asked Brock.
"There's a lot we don't know, maybe we should try buying a Shadow Pokémon." Suggested Green.
"The prices are expensive, and besides, Red himself is a famous figure here right ? And he's also have been a thorn on Team Rocket's side, why would the clerk sell the Shadow Pokémon to Red ?" Asked Henry.
"Well we should still try, I think i can buy one with my money." Said Red.
"Then we should get back to the store." Said Popo.
The heroes get up from their seat to return to the store, at the same time Gigalith and Venusaur treatment is complete, Red and Green grabbed the pokeball and left the pokemon center.
Pewter City - Pokémon Store
"Welcome to the store, oh Mr. Red you're back." Greeted the sales lady.
"Yes, well I would like to buy a pokemon on that shelf over there." Red point to the most expensive pokeballs.
"Oh I apologize sir, but the pokemons on that shelf are for members only." Said the clerk.
"So this store have membership program ?" Asked Green.
"We do, and it has several ranks as well, if you're total purchase is 10M I will award you with the bronze rank, 50M will award you Silver rank, and 100M will award you with gold rank, gold is the highest rank." Explained the clerk.
"I see, so those are for members only huh ?" Asked Red.
"Yes, and I apologize for the inconvenience, the pokemons on that shelf are more special, they either have perfect IV's, infected with Pokerus, and most of all almost all of it are unavailable in Kanto region." Continue the sales lady. "Which is why we can't just sell them to anyone."
"Is there a way to take part for the membership program ?" Asked Red.
"As long your purchases reach 10M, I will award you with bronze rank, your purchase earlier is 150,000 pokedollars, would you like to record that ?" Asked the clerk.
"Sure." Answered Red.
"Okay, I've recorded your previous transactions, here is your membership card." The sales lady give Red a member card. "You may not be able to buy the pokemons on that shelf just yet, but you still able to buy the other pokemons here."
"Yes, we will came back later." The heroes left the store.
Pewter City
"Great, now what ?" Asked Red.
"Desperate time calls for desperate measure, let's just mind control her to spill everything." Suggested Henry.
"So we really resorting to that method then ?" Asked Red.
"Yeah I think it's better than spending 10M, and besides, maybe we can expose this business immediately." Green agreed with Henry's method.
"Fine, then let's do it." The heroes decided to go back inside, however they can't get in.
"The doors locked !" Red can't open the door.
"There's a sign behind the door, 'on break we will open again at 1 hour'" Brock read the sign.
"You think she knows we're on to her ?" Asked Green.
"Possibly, great, I guess our investigation had to stop for now." Red is annoyed.
"W-well, not many people have 10M right so we won't have to worry about Shadow Pokemons being sold easily." Green tried to alleviate concern.
"Actually after hearing the membership program, they only sold the Shadow Pokémon to customers with the gold rank." Clarify Henry.
"Oh so it's 100M then, hey look at the bright side, at least that's even less people have that kind of money." Continued Green.
"Still, a kid was able to buy one, do you think they really going to sell a Shadow Pokémon to a little kid ?" Asked Popo.
"We have to ask directly, I'll use my magic to locate him." Henry used his magic to locate the gym challenger from earlier, and he's at the poke mart. "He's at the store with the blue roof."
Pewter City - Poké Mart
The heroes entered the Pokémon mart and saw the kid from earlier.
"Hey there little guy." Brock greeted the kid.
"Oh hey Brock, fancy meeting you here, I'm just buying pokeballs to catch a pokemon somewhere near here, I think im going for a Pidgey first." Said the kid.
"Good for you for not taking shortcuts, but there is a question we'd like to ask, the Gigalith you buy are you a member of that store ?" Asked Brock.
"Well yeah, my family have a gold rank so i'm able to buy that Gigalith, although I admit i kinda lied that I'm buying the Gigalith." Said the kid.
"Lied ? Lie how ?" Asked Green.
"I told the clerk lady that I wanted to surprise my dad with Gigalith for his birthday since he love rock type pokemons, and i tood her my mom is busy with her work, in actuality I'm not allowed to buy the Gigalith without parental supervision." Explained the boy. "She said you have to be at least 21 years old to buy it without parents permission, but she let me buy Gigalith on the condition i give it straight to my dad."
"I see, thanks for that, the store is closed because the employee is on break right now so luckily we found you here, to help explain about the membership program." Said Red.
"It's not that complicated, your spending is accumulated, and when it reach 10M you'll be awarded with the bronze rank." Explained the kid.
"Thanks for the info kid, we'll be on our way now." Red and co. left the poke mart, but before that the kid stopped them.
"Wait ! Here I forgot something." The kid give Red a piece of paper.
"What's this ?" Asked Red.
"It comes with the Gigalith purchase, she said it's some kind of secret code to unleash Gigalith power, but I don't know how to decipher it, she said in order to decipher it you need to focus hard and express a very strong desire to win, but since I thought I can win with a strong pokemon and i don't own Gigalith anymore why don't you take it." Explained the kid.
"Got it thanks." Red take the paper as he and the heroes left the poke mart.
Pewter City
"Well we get more information thanks to that, and we got a piece of paper that suppose to unleash Gigalith's power." The heroes read the paper and seemingly gibberish written on the paper.
"Not sure how to read this, what are this symbols ?" Asked Red.
"The kid did say you must focus really hard and express a strong desire to win in order to be able to read it." Said Green.
"And what ? If we do that we suddenly able to read it ? Sounds very hard to believe, Anyway I guess our investigations are done for today." Red put the paper to his bag.
"Hey !" A voice shouted from afar.
The heroes looked at the direction of the voice to see Chase approaching the heroes.
"Chase, what are you doing here ?" Asked Red.
"I heard from people you're at Pewter City so I came running straight here, are you here to investigate the pokemon store ?" Asked Chase.
"We did." Answered Red.
"Did you found anything ?" Asked Chase.
"Unfortunately they're really good at covering their tracks, we did found something, but not enough to be concrete evidence yet." Answered Red.
"You know Red, why don't we hand over the Gigalith to International Police ? When they found out the Gigalith is a Shadow Pokemon, it would get them to act." Suggested Green.
"Oh you haven't heard ?" Asked Chase.
"Heard what ?" Asked Green.
"There was a mass prison breakout not too long ago, the International Police have their hands full trying to recapture those criminals." Said Chase.
"Why do I got the feeling Neo Subspace Army behind it ?" Sighed Red.
"They already organize a mass breakout in Galactic Federation HQ when Samus return there why won't they do the same thing in this world ?" Asked Henry.
"Hey Red, should we...you know." Green looked at Chase.
"I think that's for the best." Red seemed to agree.
"What are you whispering ?" Asked Chase.
"Chase, what Team Rocket is doing is on an even larger scale than their usual operation, we need more help on our side, even I can't say for sure if I can took down Team Rocket even with Blue and Green by my side." Said Red.
"Whoa ! Even you not sure you can take down Team Rocket !" Chase is taken aback.
"I wanted to ask your help Chase." Said Red.
"You want my help !? Of course I will say yes !" Chase eagerly answer.
"Don't be too hasty, at the very least we show you our what kind of mess we're getting into, but before that, let me introduce you, Chase this is our new friends, Popo and Henry." Red introduce Chase to Popo and Henry.
"Nice to meet you, my name's Chase, and just like Red Pikachu here is my partner !" Chase point at the Pikachu in his shoulder. "Who's your partner pokemon ?"
"Nice to meet you too Chase, I guess my partner is Growlithe, I'm new at pokemon training." Popo sent out Growlithe.
"I don't have a partner pokemon yet, I just bought a Duskull earlier, hopefully we're able to bond well." Said Henry.
"Well I do hope you two able to bond with your pokemons." Smiled Chase.
"Well before we leave I think it's best to contact Blue first, I wonder how he's doing at Blackthorn City." Red pull out his golden plate and contact Blue.
Blackthorn City - Gym
The heroes return to the gym, specifically the gym's backroom to discuss their next move.
"And so to recap, that's the kind of enemies we're dealing with." Blue explain the whole thing.
The Johto trainers looked at Blue with blank stare and disbelief, unable to process Blue's story.
"S-so that's how deep the involvement are ?" Ethan breaks the silence.
"Yeah, those guys we fought may act like mere poachers from first glance, but unfortunately the hole goes much much deeper than that." Continued Blue.
"Hold on, why would Team Rocket cooperate if the destruction of the universe is Neo Subspace Army endgoal ?" Asked Silver.
"It's likely Team Rocket and all those our enemies doesn't know Neo Subspace Army true goal or even if there's suspicion among them they could lie about their endgoal, let me be clear, the higher ups of Neo Subspace Army are outright supernatural beings, Giovanni and others are still merely humans, I'm not surprised if Giovanni ask too much question he could be brainwashed into compliance." Explained Blue.
"The fact of the matter is Neo Subspace Army is helping our enemies in achieving their goal, a second chance to speak it plainly, without people like us to interfere in their goal." Explained Peach.
"One of those goals is revenge against us who stand in their way." Added Serena.
"They have universe spanning manpower, and so it's too much for us to deal with them, that's why we would like to ask for your help, of course if you wished not to take part we will respect your answer." Said Blue.
"And so after this, we would like to take you to our base, we call it the Smash Mansion, after that we let you all decide on your own." Said Peach.
"Keep in mind you don't need to stay in the mansion, someone needs to stay here protect their homeland." Said Serena.
Just then Blue's golden plate is ringing, Blue picked it up and answered it, it create a hologram of Red.
"Blue it's me, I'm done on my end, what about you ?" Asked Red.
"Yeah I'm done here either." Said Blue.
"How's Ethan ?" Asked Red.
"Don't worry, thanks to Peach and Serena, they're back to full health." Answered Blue.
"That's good to hear, so should we go to Blackthorn City or...?"
"No need, I'm going back to the mansion, we should meet there instead." Said Blue.
"Alright then, see you at the mansion." Red ended the communication.
And with that Red and Blue decided to return to the mansion, with missions over.
This is one of the stories with A Plot and B Plot so I have to swap roles at certain times.
I know in canon Navarre refused to harm women, but as a zombie that can only obeyed his master whatever principles they have is tossed aside if it's getting in their masters way.
Since I doubt we got another FE Warriors game at least for a while, I'm giving elemental powers for the Shadow Dragon cast according to their personality.
Claus is now trained in using his PSI powers so he will have several arsenals unlike in his home game.
So in this fic, I'm following Pokémon Masters, Ethan have Typhlosion, Lyra with Meganium, and Krys with Feraligatr, of course spoiler Silver Also Feraligatr.
