Outer Space
In the deep reaches of space a portal was formed and coming out from the portal is the Halberd, using the golden plate for faster travel, the heroes are about to reach their destination.
"We've arrived, we're about to enter Planet Plantaean orbit." Said Axe Knight.
"You weren't kidding that it is a banana shaped planet." Meta Knight voiced his surprise looking at the planet.
"This planet have a powerful artifact known as Crystal Banana, K. Rool and his minions have used it themselves before, giving them great power." Explained Diddy.
"We can't let Neo Subspace Army have it, who knows what will they do with that kind of power ?" DK looked concerned.
"Hang on tight, we're entering the planet's atmosphere." The Halberd force through the atmosphere and they finally reached the planet skies.
Planet Plantaen
The Halberd hovers above the skies of Plantaen, the heroes looked down from the window to see that the planet is covered by palm banana trees.
"Wow ! Bananas as far as the eyes can see !" Commented Tails.
"I know, this place is like a paradise for us !" Exclaimed DK.
"We should head to the Banana Village first and talk to Xananab." Suggested Diddy. " You can't miss it, their buildings resemble upside down peeled bananas."
"You and Donkey have been here before, so we follow your lead." After hearing Diddy's suggestion the heroes agreed and with that the heroes went to the Banana Village.
Vine Valley
Dixie and co. arrive at Vine Valley in their quest to rescue one of the Kong family members.
"So where are we ?" Asked Banjo.
"This is Vine Valley." Answered Dixie.
"Any reason why you decide to go here ?" Asked Amy. "You don't exactly know where the rest of your clan is held captive."
"Yeah, which is why I decided to come here, Vine Valley is the home base of Manky Kongs, they're like the black sheep of the Kong clans." Explained Dixie. "They have been too violent and hostile, that's why we have disowned them."
"And because of that they have join forces with the Kremlings to enact revenge against us." Continued Dixie. "I'm sure they have a huge bone to pick with Lanky Kong, no doubt he's seen as a traitor to the rest of the Manky Kongs and they want revenge on him."
"That does seem to be the logical choice, if my Waddle Dee ever betray me, when given the chance I will go after the traitor first." Dedede backing Dixie's claim.
"This would make them predictable." Commented Kazooie
"Yeah, but their grudge is the only thing that comes to my mind, so we'll tread carefully, my plan is to capture a Manky Kong and do an interrogation." Dixie then led the others, deciding to sneak around the jungle.
"I do hope your intuition is right." Remarked Kazooie.
"It's better than not taking action, besides we could find unexpected things by investigating the enemy." Said Amy.
After walking a few distance, they saw two Manky Kongs standing guard.
"Those are the Manky Kongs." Dixie point at the two orangutans.
"They seem to be talking about something." Said Banjo.
"Let's hide at that tree and bushes over there and overhear the conversation." Dixie led everyone to the bushes and hide behind, as the bushes and trees near the standing Manky Kongs the heroes able to clearly hear the conversations.
"Man, standing guard here is boring." Complained one of the Manky.
"Yeah, to think once K. Rool joining with even bigger organization we will get bigger roles than merely standing guard." Manky 2 agreed with his partner.
"Well several of us already get big jobs like overseeing and distribution of Crystal Coconuts, so maybe it will be our turn next ?" Said Manky 1.
"That better be, I'm tired of doing mere grunt work around here !" Complained Manky 2.
"Crystal Coconut ?" Asked Kazooie as Dixie shushed her.
"So anyway what about that traitor ?" Asked Manky 2 as Dixie quickly looked back at the guards.
"Still in captive and heavily punished, serves him right for siding with those goody two shoes." Answered Manky 1.
"That traitor Lanky, he could've gone places siding with us, but instead he'd rather betray his brethren." Manky 2 is more disappointed compared to Manky 1.
"Yeah serves him right, let his action be an example for the rest." Replied Manky 1.
"Alright everyone, we will be the one getting a jump on them." Dixie briefed her plans to the others.
With the two Manky Kongs standing guard, they noticed the rustling bush.
"Hey go check that out." Manky 1 order Manky 2 to check.
"Do I have to ? It looks like something will jump from there at any moment." Complained Manky 2
"Yes ! Now get over there and look ! i'll be right behind you !" Yelled Manky 1 as Manky 2 reluctantly walked closer to the rustling bushes.
"Hello ?" Manky 2 nervously walked to the rustling bushes and then Dixie jumped on him, she uses her hair to strangle Manky 2 and slammed him to the ground repeatedly.
Manky 1 saw this and rushed to help his friend, however someone tapped his shoulder from behind, Manky 1 looked back to see Amy and Dedede, Manky 1 receive a blow to the face from Dedede and Amy's hammer attack.
With both of them at the heroes mercy, Banjo and Kazooie tied them up using the plant vines scattered in the area.
"We heard you talking about Lanky Kong, Now talk ! Where's Lanky Kong ?" Dixie begin her interrogation.
"You think we'll talk !? Find him yourself cause we're not talking !" Manky 1 being defiant.
"If you don't talk, I'll rip your face off with my talons !" Kazooie get off from Banjo's bagpack, she fly towards the Manky Kongs and showing off her sharp talons.
"W-we're just mere grunts, we don't know anything !?" Exclaimed Manky 2.
"Once again, we overhear your conversation earlier, you Manky Kongs have strong animosity towards Lanky for leaving, so I'm sure all of you must know where he is because you have a grudge against him no matter your position in the hierarchy." Replied Dixie.
"Alright, you overheard us, and guess what ? We're not talking ! And you're in our turf ! Help ! Help !" Manky 1 screams for help, and with his loud shouting the heroes hear footsteps from a distance coming their way.
"Everyone fall back !" Dixie orders a withdrawal as the heroes run from the two Manky Kongs.
Banana Village
After flying above a huge forest, the heroes finally arrived at a civilization, they saw buildings that look like an upside down peeled bananas.
"We're here !" Exclaimed Diddy.
"Okay let's find a spot to land." Ordered Cpt. Vul.
"Hey wait ! Look !" DK pointed at the window.
The heroes take a look to see smokes and fires from the village.
"The village is a-under attack !" Exclaimed Luigi.
"No time for finding a landing spot, we're teleporting there." Meta Knight used his golden plate to teleport the heroes straight to the village.
"Hah ! You think you can hide from me little brat !?" A Kremling found a Plantaen kid who looked like a green peeled banana hiding behind a barrel. "Off to the cage with you !"
And at that moment the heroes teleport in front of the Kremling and proceed to beat him up with Diddy saves the kid.
"Are you OK kid ?" Asked Diddy.
"Yeah, thank you, but everyone else isn't." Said the kid.
"It's alright now, we're here and we promise to save the village." Meta Knight assured the kid.
"Hey it's Donkey Kong and his friends ! Get them !" The heroes get spotted by a Kritter and now the entire Kremling Krew is running towards the heroes.
"Leave them to me." Meta Knight used his telekinesis to lift large rocks from the ground and hurled it towards the Kremling Krew, effectively burying them under the large rocks.
"Quick I'll show you where they held the people captive !" The Plantaen kid led the heroes to the imprisoned villagers.
Once arrived near the cage holding the villagers, the kid and the heroes decided to hide near the Banana shaped house.
"That's where everyone is, well except for Xananab." Said the kid. "He's headed to the temple to prevent the Crystal Banana from being misused again."
"It looks heavily guarded." Luigi looked at the Kremlings stationed around the imprisoned villagers.
"They shouldn't be a match for us, here's what we do." Meta Knight whispered his plan to the heroes. "Everyone understand ?"
The other 4 nodded and ready to execute the plan.
"Sorry kid but stay put, we'll rescue the villagers in no time." Said DK.
The Plantaen kid agreed and stay put.
"You all won't get away with this !" Said the Plantaen prisoner.
"Says you, once our king possess all the Crystal Bananas the Kremling Krew will be unstoppable." Bragged one of the Kremling.
"I recall something like this has happened before, and you still lose." Remarked one of the prisoners.
"Uurgh...this this won't be like last time !" The Kremling defended himself.
A portal is formed near the Kremling, DK emerged from the portal and quickly punched the Kremling, knocking him down.
"It's Donkey Kong ! Get him !" The Kremling get back up and rally the others to attack DK, and as the Kremling horde charged at DK, suddenly they all lifted up in the air.
"Hey what happened why are we floating !?" One of the Kremling is panicking.
"I don't know, maybe I'm the one responsible for this." The Kremling looked to see it's Diddy Kong, using his telekinesis to lift the Kremlings off the ground.
"Luigi now !" Command Meta Knight as he summon lightning from the sky, the skies of Planet Plantaen covered in storm clouds and shoot lightning from above and struck down the Kremlings.
Once that done Meta Knight fly towards the Kremling clusters and struck the Kremlings with his sword, defeating them as they all fall to the ground.
"Are you all alright ? Hold on we're getting you out of here." Meta Knight is ready to cut the cage open, as the cage is made of wood, however the villager stops him.
"Wait ! These are not the only Kremlings around here." Said the villager.
"We know, we encounter several before arriving at this part of the village." Said DK.
"Did you meet a giant Jack in the Box there ?" Asked one of the villager.
"Giant Jack in the Box ? Could it be !?" DK realizes who the villager is talking about.
A loud thumping can be heard as a giant box hop towards the heroes, the box opened ro reveal a being with spiky head tied to a spring as his lower torso.
"Mad Jack ! So you're in charge of this operation !" Yelled DK.
"I don't know how you got here, when we noticed that unusual lightning, i know we had to come and check, to think you're here." Said Mad Jack.
"Well no matter, this time I will have my revenge !" Belcha hopped right next to Mad Jack. "Using me as your mole ! I can't believe you would resort to such underhanded tactics, that should be our role !"
"Belcha have been acting weird since your encounter at Kong Island, we ignored it most of the time, but when we caught him trying to tell you about our plan involving the Chaos Emerald, we know we had to do something." Explained Mad Jack.
"So is that why you managed to get the emerald before we did ?" Asked DK.
"We had to move our plan faster because of that, well anyway I don't know how you now know we're here, but we won't let you get in the way of our king, the Crystal Banana will be ours once again !" Mad Jack ready for a fight.
"Not if we..." Declared DK as Meta Knight stops him.
"Donkey, Diddy, leave them to us, you go and confront K. Rool, the more you waste time here, the closer he got to the Crystal Banana." Meta Knight told DK and Diddy to go ahead.
"Okay, Luigi, Meta Knight, Tails we leave Belcha and Mad Jack to you." DK agreed as he and Diddy run to the temple.
"I think not !" Mad Jack jumped to stop the Kongs, however Meta Knight hurled a boulder to his face, causing Mad Jack to fall as the Kongs made their way to the temple.
Belcha also tried to stop the Kongs, but Tails throw a bomb to him and Luigi electrocute the bomb and it exploded near Belcha, knocking the living barrel down.
Soon a large Yoshi like dinosaur appear as it stand next to Mad Jack.
"What ! A Yoob !" Luigi is surprised by the creature.
"You know this monster ?" Asked Meta Knight.
"Yes, this a-thing a monster created by the Shroobs, a Yoob purpose is to convert living beings into Shroobs." Explained Luigi.
"Then we have to slay that thing first !" Meta Knight ready to fight.
Meta Knight fly towards Yoob as the monster opened its mouth and extend it's tongue, Meta Knight was able to dodge as it has experience fighting Yoshi at the tournament.
As Meta Knight about to reach Yoob, a barrage of flaming barrels flying towards Meta Knight, forcing the Warrior to teleport away with his cape and reappear at Tails and Luigi's side.
Belcha and Mad Jack combine their powers by spitting out barrels and Mad Jack using his flame powers to put the barrel on fire.
"Tails ! free the people first ! We can't let them be converted to Shroobs !" Exclaimed Luigi.
Tails nodded and quickly destroy the cage with his tail. "Everyone ! Hurry and find a place to hide !"
The villagers run to save themselves.
Belcha hopped to chase after the villagers, but Luigi punched the talking barrel as he crashed into Yoob and Mad Jack.
"Hey ! We need their vim !" Belcha got up again.
"Vim ?" Questioned Meta Knight.
"Vim is a-like life energy, it's a-used to fuel the Shroobs spaceship, but they only needed Toad's vim before ?" Pondered Luigi.
"That doesn't matter right now ! We can't let the villagers life energy be used as fuel." Said Tails
Meta Knight lift multiple boulders telekinetically and hurled it towards the villains, while Tails put on the Energy Ball gun on his right arm and he fire an energy ball at both Yoob, Mad Jack, and Belcha can't exactly avoid the incoming boulders and projectiles.
"Belcha ! Sent it out !" Exclaimed Mad Jack.
Belcha spit out a barrel, and inside a barrel there's a strange worm like creature who seems to be living inside a rock with holes.
"Shuckle use Protect !" Ordered Belcha as Shuckle create a barrier that shield the villains from the boulders.
"What the ? Is that a pokemon ?" Questioned Meta Knight.
"Oh it is, and you have no idea what it can do, now Shuckle use Power Split !" Belcha give his command as Shuckle used Power Split on Meta Knight.
"What the ?" Meta Knight suddenly feel strange.
"Meta Knight, you OK ?" Asked Luigi.
"I think so, I can just bypass that creature to attack the enemy." Meta Knight, not knowing what happened fly at the enemy, flying above Shuckle to go straight to Mad Jack, Meta Knight swings his sword, however Mad Jack able to catch it easily.
Meta Knight tried to push back against Mad Jack, however he doesn't seem to be as strong as he used to anymore. "What the !?" Meta Knight is surprised by this as he usually able to take down enemies much larger than he is.
"Is this all you got ? Turns out there's nothing to be afraid of about you." Mad Jack fully grabbed Meta Knight and throw him to the ground.
Shuckle then used Spider Web, Meta Knight got trapped, and his cape wings got restrained, causing the warrior's movement to be restricted.
"Hahahah ! Replacing the Knik Knaks with bug type pokemons is a major improvements." Bragged Belcha.
"Meta Knight !" Luigi and Tails rushed to Meta Knight side.
"My strength is diminishing, no doubt it's that thing's doing." Meta Knight point at Shuckle.
"If that's the case we can't beat them like this." Said Tails
"What about it Yoob ? Why don't we harvest their vim as well." Asked Belcha.
Yoob nodded, confirming he agreed. And with that, Yoob, Mad Jack, and Belcha approached Luigi, Tails, and Meta Knight.
DK and Diddy went to the temple, however along the way they encounter a purple Mushroom people attacking the Plantaen villagers.
One of them shoot a villager with a ray gun and turn them into a purple mushroom.
"These must be the Shroobs that Mario and Luigi once encounter." Said DK.
"Let's defeat them !" Diddy shot them with his peanut gun, knocking them down as DK jumped in smash them with his fist, killing the Shroobs.
DK and Diddy managed to subjugate many of the Shroobs, rescuing the villagers along the way.
"My Son !" A grieving mother hold her son as he got turned into a purple mushroom, and not just her, the other villagers have saw their loved ones turned into purple mushrooms as well.
"Everyone listen !" DK managed to get everyone attention, "I know that what we just saw is a tragedy ! But we assure you, we can change them back ! Grab all the purple mushroom ! Doesn't matter who is who ! we will return them back to normal !" DK told them to get to safety and carry with them the people that got turned into purple mushrooms, assuring there's a way to reverse the process.
Vine Valley
"I think we lost them." Dixie and the others catch their breath.
"So what now ? Now that they know we're here, they might call for backup." Asked Amy.
"I have an idea, I'm going to use myself as a bait, I'm going to let myself get caught." Dixie told everyone her plan.
"Dixie that's dangerous ! There's got to be another way !" Banjo oppose to Dixie's idea.
"Banjo's right, even if you get caught there's no guarantee you'd be placed in the same place where they held your family." Amy point out the potential flaws in Dixie's plan.
"They also have a black plate similar to our golden plates, how are we suppose to track you down if they block the power of our golden plate ?" Added Kazooie.
"True, grunts or not they shouldn't be stupid enough to lock you up without confiscating your golden plate." Said Dedede.
"Then again, if Dixie does get caught and they take her golden plate with them we still can track her down as long as the enemy not smart enough to block our golden plate power, and that is a big if, anyway if they can block the teleportation function there's a possibility they can block the other functions as well, and we're not ready to make such risky gamble." Continued Dedede.
"It is a gamble for sure, you sure there aren't any other way ? Less riskier way ? Like having psychics join us ?" Suggested Amy.
"Well calling for backup is a smart move, maybe we should try that." Banjo opened to the idea.
"Fine, if we want to succeed i have to think things more thoroughly, Amy, we're going with your suggestion." Dixie agreed to calling for backup.
"Okay, I'm calling Isabelle." Amy used her golden plate to contact Isabelle.
"Hello Amy, anything I can do for you ?" Asked Isabelle in holographic form.
"Yes, Isabelle, is there any psychic left in the mansion, preferably the telepaths." Replied Amy.
"I'll get back to you later." Isabelle ended the communication as she look for any available psychics.
In a few seconds Isabelle called Amy back. "Good news, Krystal offered to help you guys, I'll send her to your location right away." Isabelle ended communication and then Krystal is teleported to the heroes location.
"I'm here, so how can I help ?" Asked Krystal.
"With Krystal here, we can execute Dixie's plan with less risk, and here's how we do it." Dedede made adjustments to Dixie's plan.
The heroes looked at Dedede with curious expression.
"Here's the plan, Dixie let herself gets captured, but Krystal won't be far from her, and she use her psychic powers to mind control Dixie's captor, force them to tell us where they hold the rest of Dixie's Clan captive, and then order them to teleport us there with their black plates." Explained Dedede.
"That's...actually brilliant, one problem though, what about the rest of us ? Krystal can't be far from Dixie, so what about us ?" Asked Kazooie.
"I can cast illusions to hide our presence, that way they won't know we're right behind Dixie." Answered Krystal. "i'll make you guys visible again once i put the enemies under my control.
"OK, we'll go with that plan, now we just have to go back from where we came." Said Dixie as the heroes nodded and execute the plan.
The heroes return to the way they came from, luckily they find all their pursuers are back to their posts and not chasing the heroes anymore, and they saw the two Manky Kongs from before back to their post.
"OK Dixie, now is the time I'm covering the rest of us with illusion." Krystal enveloped the others with illusion, making it like they're invisible.
After walking closer to the Manky Kongs, pretending not noticing the two Manky's, Dixie got ambushed by the Manky Kongs from earlier.
"You think you can get away from us do you ?" Manky 1 grabbed her right arm.
"With us capturing Dixie Kong, King K. Rool will promote us for sure !" Manky 2 excited at the idea of promotion.
"Please, at least put me in the same place you hold Lanky Kong, that's all I'm asking." Dixie begged with tears coming out from her eyes.
"Hah ! If you think..." the Manky Kongs suddenly stop talking.
"Tell us where you hold Lanky Kong." Krystal have begun her mind control attempt.
"We hold him in Kremkroc Industries, specifically the basement laboratory." Answered Manky 1.
"And how to get there ? The Basement Laboratory ?" Asked Krystal.
"You need to use the elevator near the entrance, and press the B3 button, you need to use the key card to entered the room where Lanky Kong is held." Said Manky 2.
"And where can we get the key card ?" Continued Krystal.
"Access to B3 lab rooms is restricted to high position staff." Said Manky 1. "You need to talk to the scientists stationed there."
"Oh, anything else you can tell us ?" Asked Krystal. "Like what are you producing there ?"
"We only know that we're building weapons for Neo Subspace Army, such as mind control devices, modifications to weapons from every world, and research on otherworldly powers." Answered Manky 2.
"Is that all ?" Asked Krystal.
"That's all we know." Answered Manky 1.
"Any important personnel in that factory ?" Asked Krystal.
"King K. Rool left Kalypso as the head of the industries, she's the one overseeing the production of weapons and mind control devices, and then we have a human calling himself Liquid Snake who oversee the distribution of weapons, and not long ago we get a new recruit, a scientist with the name of Xerosic, as the head of research, along with a sorcerer named Izuka, and there's General Klump as the head of security." Answered Manky 2.
"Liquid Snake, that must be Snake's brother." Muttered Krystal as she looked at the heroes. "Okay we get the idea, now teleport us to where Lanky Kong held captive."
"We can't, that area is heavily guarded and we can't teleport there, the area is designed to block teleportation, there are black plates embedded in that floor that emits teleportation blocker wave." Answered Manky 1.
"Okay, just teleport us to a less guarded area in the factory." Said Krystal.
"Understood, looking at the time break time must be over already, i will send you to the break room." Manky 1 pull out his black plate and teleport the heroes to Kremkroc Industries.
Kremkroc Industries - Break Room
Thanks to Krystal mind control, the heroes are teleported to Kremkroc Industries directly, right now they arrived at the factory break room.
"So this is the break room ? I got to say they aren't stingy with the facilities." Krystal commenting at the insides of the break room.
"Pool table, actual couch, vending machine ? Strange, Donkey and Diddy never mentioned any of these stuff to me, they say the factory is run down, everything can fall apart at any moment, and the entire place is terribly maintained." Said Dixie.
Dedede take a peek from the window. "Huh ? Maybe they fixed everything, this factory doesn't look like it's going to collapse anytime soon."
Dixie joined Dedede and to her surprise, the factory does have better lighting, not rusty platforms, the floors and walls looks clean. "This is really the opposite of what Donkey and Diddy said to me."
"Well we don't have time to sightsee, we need to head to the basement, and the lab." Kazooie put Dixie back on track.
As the heroes about to leave the break room, a robot looked like a bat flying at the factory, the heroes notices this and quickly hide.
"Is it gone ?" Dedede slowly raise his head.
"I remember, that robot is one of Eggman's." Said Amy.
"Does that mean he's here or at least his minions ?" Asked Banjo.
"Not sure, that Manky doesn't say anything about Eggman, well looks like that thing is gone, let's be more careful." The heroes finally left the break room and begin to search for the entrance.
Along the way, another different robot patrolling the factory as the heroes manage to hide in time. "That's a Spy Eye, Fox told me about that thing before, it doesn't have any weapons, but it does serve as warning satellite, it's best to avoid fighting here, or we'll get detected fast."
"Well I suppose that means Andross's robots are here too." Continued Krystal.
"This is getting out of hand, the Kremlings joining forces with mad scientists from other worlds." Dixie shakes her heads.
"So uh for the key cards, how are we going to get it ? Are we going to look for every scientists roaming this place ?" Asked Kazooie.
"This factory is huge, we don't have time to look for the scientists." Said Krystal.
"But they say the basement lab is protected by the black plates power, we can't use our golden plates to escape or even go there." Replied Dixie.
"Alright what about this ? We head to the elevator as planned, but just to mapped the entire place to get a good grasp at our surroundings, once we know the ins and outs of the entire floor that's when we steal the key cards." Suggested Dedede.
The others nodded in agreement as they head to the entrance of the factory.
The heroes have to avoid the security drones, and the factory employees which consists of Kremlings and their allies such as Neckys, Krystal using her telepathic abilities such as illusion casting to make the heroes invisible.
"Your psychic powers are incredibly useful Krystal, I could offer you a position in my kingdom if you're interested." Dedede make his offer.
"Thank you your majesty, but I have to decline that offer." Krystal politely refusing Dedede's offer.
"I think that's the entrance." Banjo pointed at the door not far from the heroes.
"Well there is a reception desk nearby so we must be in the right location." Amy seems to support Banjo's guess. "Luckily the receptionist doesn't seem to be present."
"Your illusion sure is able to help us avoid detection so far." Dixie compliment Krystal.
"Thanks, just hope none of these drones are equipped with heat detector, not even an illusion can fool that." Replied Krystal.
"The heroes arrived at the elevator and pressed the button, soon after waiting, the elevator door opened and the heroes went inside."
Kremkroc Industries - Elevator
"So, B3 right." Dixie pressed the B3 button and the heroes descend down.
"Hang in there Lanky, we'll come to save you." Muttered Dixie.
Banana Village
Meta Knight is defeated and with just Luigi and Tails still standing, they have to confront Mad Jack, Belcha, and Yoob.
"Luigi, Tails, run." Whispered Meta Knight.
"What ? But, if we a-run this village will a-be..." Luigi refuse to just run away.
Meta Knight cuts him off. "Listen, I've seen what you can do, you showed me that during the tournament, but that creature cuts my physical strength, there's no doubt they can do the same trick to you."
"Unless we can find a way to reverse the effect, Meta Knight have a point, staying here only diminish our chances of victory." Tails agree to retreat.
"So you're the brother of famous Mario aren't you ? The cowardly Luigi." Said Mad Jack.
"Careful Jack, being the brother of Mario we can't underestimate him." Warned Belcha.
"Oh...uh, please underestimate me, I'm nothing a-like my brother." Luigi acting like a coward trying to let their guard down.
"You worry too much Belcha !" Mad Jack tried to grab Luigi, but then Luigi blast him with his electric power, electrocuting the monstrous Jack in the Box.
Luigi lift Mad Jack's box, and throw them at Belcha and Yoob, causing the three to fall.
"You idiot ! I told you not to underestimate him !" Belcha yelled at Mad Jack.
"Alright alright ! Let's go after him !" Mad Jack embarrassed from his mistake.
"Shuckle use Power Split !" The three large villains got up to see Luigi, Tails, and Meta Knight gone.
"Where are !? After them !" The three villains give chase to Luigi, Tails, and Meta Knight.
Luigi carry Meta Knight as Tails fly and hide in nearby jungle, Luigi use his electric power to burn the web tying Meta Knight as the Warrior able to regain his movement.
"Thanks Luigi." Meta Knight thanked Luigi.
"How's your strength ?" Asked Luigi.
"Hmm...I feel like my strength return to normal, nice to know the effect is only temporary, unfortunately they can always repeat the same trick again to put us in disadvantage." Said Meta Knight.
"It's a-time like this we need to call our allies for help." Suggested Tails.
"Yeah, but who ? Belcha said he put on pokemons inside his barrels, and one of them able to cut my strength in half, we don't even know how many pokemons he had with him and what they're capable of." Said Meta Knight.
"Hold on, Belcha said bug type, according to Red bug type pokemon are weak to fire, flying, and rock type attacks." Said Luigi.
"So we should call allies that have power over fire, wind and earth, if all those bug pokemons share that weakness, it doesn't matter who Belcha sent out, we can take care of them before they can get to us." Tails agreed with Luigi.
Luigi grabbed his golden plate and contact Isabelle. "Isabelle we need backup, things are more difficult than expected, we need someone who have power over fire, earth, and/or wind !"
"Understood, please wait a moment." Isabelle ended communication.
"We should hide here until backup arrives." Said Meta Knight. "Honestly I would ask my knights to help, but we might destroy the village if I order the Halberd to start shooting and they might get defeated with that pokemon around."
Suddenly Luigi, Tails, and Meta Knight smelled something sweet.
"What is this smell ? It feels relaxing." Luigi is starting to get drowsy.
"Yeah, whatever it is, this smell felt good." Tails also falling for it.
"Luigi, Tails ! snapped out of it ! Don't be fooled by this sweet smell !" Meta Knight shaking Luigi and Tails's body.
However, even Meta Knight is started to get affected. "Where is this coming from ?"
Both Luigi, Tails, and Meta Knight came out of hiding to find where the source of the smell coming from, as the two keep walking, they saw a strange bee like creature resembling three section honeycomb.
"Is this the source of the smell ?" Meta Knight approached the creature.
"It sure is !" Mad Jack, and Belcha appeared in front of the heroes, with Yoob appearing behind, with a new creature, another insectoid with yellow geometric shaped shell.
"Great thinking Belcha, using Combee's Sweet Scent to lure our prey and using Dottler's psychic power to envelop us in illusion to catch them off guard !" Mad Jack compliment Belcha.
"Now Shuckle use Power Split again !" Belcha issued his command, and just as Shuckle about to execute the move, the heroes reinforcements arrive, consisting of Kirby, Bowser, and Toon Link. This has interrupt the use of the move.
Yoob extend it's tongue at Bowser, however the Koopa King grabbed his tongue, and throw Yoob into crashing against Mad Jack and Belcha.
"Hah ! You two having difficulty with them ?" Bowser mocked both enemies and allies.
"It's not them we worried about, it's..." Meta Knight about to warn Bowser, but it's too late.
"Shuckle ! Power Split !" Shuckle use Power Split on Bowser, cutting his strength in half, while Shuckle strength increase.
Yoob got up and rammed itself at Bowser, making him fall, and then Bowser saw a giant blue box above him and falling down, Bowser quickly got up and hold the box, however with his strength cut in half, the box is too heavy for him.
"What's wrong ? Too heavy for you ? There's more where that came from !" Mad Jack speaking from inside his box.
Bowser can't lift Mad Jack anymore as Luigi punched Mad Jack's box and saved Bowser.
"Uuh...t-thanks...Luigi." Bowser grudgingly grateful to Luigi.
"Like i said, they're not the ones to worry about, it's the pokemons who we should deal with first !" Meta Knight pointed at the pokemons.
"Oh no you don't !" Belcha spit out a barrage of barrels, however Toon Link used the Wind Waker baton to conjure a strong whirlwind that caught Belcha's barrel and flung it back at him. Causing Belcha to get hit by his own barrels.
Bowser also used his fire breath to attack Combee, Dottler, and Shuckle, despite his strength cut in half it still enough to do serious damage to the bug type pokemons, except for Shuckle who possess incredible defense and its rock type give resistance to fire attacks.
"Combee Sweet Scent !" Ordered Belcha as Combee emits a sweet smelling air to distract the heroes.
"Everyone cover your nose !" Warn Meta Knight.
Seizing the chance, Yoob extend it's tongue to swallow Meta Knight, however Luigi notices this and push Meta Knight out of the way, allowing himself to be eaten instead.
"Luigi !" Shouted Meta Knight.
Meta Knight fly towards Yoob only for Mad Jack to generate a stream of fire from his hands to get in his way.
Toon Link used his baton to blow the Sweet Scent away and send it back to the enemies.
"Shuckle Stone Edge !" Belcha give his command as Toon Link pull out a materia.
"Oh no you don't ! Sleep !" The sleep spell worked and put Shuckle to a slumber.
"We brought something for you." Kirby throw several power ups for the heroes.
Meta Knight absorb the Fire Flower, giving him Red and white color change, and his sword is infused with fire power.
Bowser used the Super Bell to transform into his Meowser form.
And Toon Link infused several power icons to himself, the Warp and Weaken.
"Everyone I'm going after Luigi !" Exclaimed Kirby.
"Alright, go and rescue him." Meta Knight trust Kirby.
Kirby run towards Yoob, and as the mutant tried to stomp him, Kirby dodged the attack, he jumped and punched Yoob in the stomach, with it roared from the pain, Kirby entered it's mouth and went inside.
Toon Link pull out an Empowerment Materia, he cast Bravery on everyone, enchanting their strength. "We don't have anything to worry anymore, if that thing can cut our strength, I can restore it back !"
And so Bowser, Meta Knight and Toon Link ready for a final rumble against Mad Jack, Belcha, and Yoob.
Yoob's Inside
As Kirby already inside he went to search for Luigi immediately. "Luigi ! Luigi ! If you can hear me, answer me !"
Kirby notices several Shroobs looked dead, Kirby slowly approached the creature and as he touched it Kirby felt electric stings.
"Electricity, could Luigi the ones doing this ?" Kirby keep on running and he saw many creatures defeated the same way.
As he head further inside he saw what it looks like a conveyor belt, "Is this suppose to be a factory ? And inside a monster's body ?" Kirby noticed the conveyor belt already destroyed and soon he found numerous big pink eggs with green spots, all cracked open.
As he went deeper and deeper, Kirby saw several Plantaen Villagers huddle together.
"Umm hello ?" Kirby tried talking to them.
"Who are you ?" Asked one of the villager.
"I'm Kirby, don't worry I'm not your enemy, what are you people doing here ?" Asked Kirby.
"We got eaten by this monster, and last thing we know we're trapped inside these eggs, if it weren't for that man in green we might be trapped forever." Answered the villager.
"Man in green ? That must be Luigi ! I'm his friend, where is he ?" Asked Kirby.
"He's on that room over there, he told us to wait here while he fight that egg monster." Said the villager.
"Egg monster ? OK I'm going to help him." Kirby run off to follow Luigi.
Yoob - Sunnycide Chamber
Once Kirby arrives, he saw Luigi fighting a monster with snail like eyes, and a body resembling egg shell.
The monster swing it's tentacle like arm as Luigi ducked and blast the monster with lightning.
"Luigi !" Shouted Kirby as he run towards Luigi.
"Kirby ? What are a-you doing here ?" Luigi surprised to see Kirby inside.
"I'm here to save you." Answered Kirby.
"Sorry, but I can't leave a-yet, I have to destroy this a-thing first." Luigi pointed at the monster. "That's Sunnycide, that monster will transform anyone inside Yoob eggs into Shroobs."
"Okay, let's fight together." Kirby join Luigi to fight Sunnycide.
Luigi pull out a Fire Flower and absorbs it, while Kirby pull out a Fire Copy Essence and eat it, turning him into Fire Kirby.
"Good guess, Sunnycide weak to fire." Said Luigi.
"I'm just following your lead Luigi, and i came prepared, i carry many copy essence with me." Replied Kirby.
Sunnycide opened its mouth and tried to inhale Luigi and Kirby, exposing the monster weak point, the yellow light inside its mouth, Luigi threw a fireball and Kirby breathe fire following Luigi, Sunnycide got burned and closed its mouth as it trying to put out the fire.
Luigi grabbed Sunnycide legs and throw the monster, crashing to a wall.
Sunnycide got up and summon chains from above, Luigi notices this and told Kirby to stay airborne, Kirby did so by inhaling air as Sunnycide pull the chains, creating holes in the floor.
While Kirby is unaffected as he heed Luigi's warning and float in midair, Luigi constantly jumping from one place to the next as Sunnycide keep pulling the chains repeatedly and quickly.
Kirby float his way to Sunnycide and latch into it's face, Kirby then used his fire breath to burn the egg monster.
Sunnycide let go of the chains and tried to get Kirby off its face.
Luigi grabbed a Feather Cape and absorbs it, giving him a cape, Luigi found a large rock inside Yoob's body, he lift it and fly towards Sunnycide.
"Kirby ! Let go !" Luigi throw the rock at Sunnycide as Kirby get off its face.
Sunnycide got knocked out from the impact, Kirby pull out the sword copy Essence and turned into Sword Kirby.
Kirby jumped and impaled the Sunnycide on the yellow light inside its mouth, finally killing the creature.
"We did it." Said Kirby.
"Now let's tell the villagers they're a-saved." Luigi and Kirby head back to the previous room to inform the villagers.
Yoob's Belly
"So it's safe to leave this place ?" Asked then villager.
"But where do we go from here ?" Asked another villager.
"Luigi, I noticed a hatch where we fight Sunnycide, is that the exit ?" Asked Kirby.
"Yes, we could go that a-way, or we could just teleport with our golden plate if you don't want to go out from the a-rear." Suggested Luigi.
"Let's just teleport out, anyway before that, does anyone still missing ?" Asked one of the villager.
"Nope, all the eggs in this monster has already been destroyed." Luigi used his golden plate to do one last detection. "Everyone is safe and no one in danger of being shroobified."
"But even if we got out, won't this thing just eat us again ?" One of the villager still worried.
"Do not worry, Sunnycide is the heart of Yoob, once it dead, it will kill Yoob alongside it, now everyone, it's a-time to leave this place." Luigi used his golden plate to teleport the villagers outside.
Banana Village
Back outside the villains are in bad shape, Mad Jack and Belcha are badly bruised and the bug pokemons are already beaten.
"Belcha do you still have more pokemons ?" Asked Mad Jack.
"Sorry, I only brought these three." Belcha apologized.
"You fool ! You should be more prepared !" Mad Jack chastising Belcha. "And you Yoob ! Why are you just standing there !? Help us out already !"
At that moment, Luigi, Kirby, and the villagers have all teleported out.
"Luigi ! Kirby !" Exclaimed Toon Link.
"Yoob won't be helping you guys anymore, we have slay the beast !" Exclaimed Kirby.
""We have a-slain Sunnycide, Yoob, won't a-be a help to you anymore." Said Luigi.
"Don't think that you've won ! Our king will be back with the Crystal Banana !" Mad Jack throw a fireball with his left hand while his right hand used the black plate to teleport himself, Belcha, Yoob, and the bug pokemons.
"Well they're finally gone, the village is saved." Meta Knight is relieved.
"Hold on, where's Donkey and Diddy ?" Asled Toon Link.
"They went ahead to the temple to stop K. Rool from getting the Crystal Banana." Said Meta Knight.
"Wait ! I just realized, with Yoob here does this means the Shroobs are a-here too ? Does anyone a-see walking purple mushrooms around here ?" Asked Luigi.
"Actually yes we did, we saw those purple mushrooms like creature attacking the part of the village that's near the temple." Said one villager.
"Which way to the temple ?" Asked Toon Link.
"Go straight from here and turn right after that tree, you can't miss it." Answered the villager.
"Okay thanks, we promise to stop K. Rool from getting the Crystal Banana." The heroes now head to the temple.
Temple
Inside, a plantaen guiding K. Rool around the temple, K. Rool isn't alone as K. Lumsy is with him along the Shroob princesses, Soon they arrived at the altar.
"Here, this is the Crystal Banana altar." The villains see 5 monkey statues holding the Crystal Banana.
"I can feel the power coming from these things, with this we will be unstoppable." Princess Shroob marveled at the sight of Crystal Banana.
While the villains still at awed by the sight if Crystal Banana, the plantaen pull out a spirowarp and teleport himself to the altar.
"Hey ! What are you doing ! Get down here !" The villains got caught off guard.
"No ! I will never let you have this ! Not again !" The plantaen touched the Crystal Banana to harness it's power.
"Lumsy ! Now !" K. Rool command K. Lumsy to jump, and because of his large size, Lumsy's jump creating shockwaves, as the villains fall down, the plantaen also falls down and several of the Crystal Banana also fell down.
K. Rool quickly grabbed 2 of the Crystal Bananas.
At the same time Elder Princess Shroob opened a time portal, putting her hands in there and quickly take the other two Crystal Banana.
K. Rool cursed quietly as he intend to get all the Crystal Banana, but was beaten to it by Elder Pricess Shroob as she take one for her self and give the other one to her sister.
"Ahem, so I got 2 and you got 2 also, and the last one is with him." K. Rool point at the plantaen.
"We'll figure out who will get the last one, after we dispose of him." Princess Shroob threatened the plantaen.
"You may as well surrender, it's one of you against 4 of us, and all of us are empowered by the Crystal Banana." K. Rool give the plantaen a chance to surrender.
"No ! I will never hand this over to the likes of you !" The plantaen remains deviant, Xananab fire a beam from his eyes, however K. Rool retaliate by using fire breath. K. Lumsy teleports near Xananab and punch the Plantaen.
Princess Shroob used both her hands to shoot a beam against Xananab, while Elder Princess Shroob punch Xananab down, she punches him repeatedly, Xananab teleports away, however Princess Shroob and K. Lumsy intercept him and attack him with energy ball and slashed Xananab with his claws respectively.
"No good, it's 1 vs 4, and all of them using the Crystal Banana to empower themselves." Xananab is outnumbered.
"You could have give us the Crystal Banana and escape, but it looks like you forced our hand." The Kremling and Shroob royals slowly walking towards him.
"There's nowhere for him to escape, he will join the rest of villagers to be harvested to fuel our weaponry." Princess Shroob smiled sadistically.
But then just when things seems dire, a voice call out to the plantaen. "Xananab !"
Xananab looked behind to see Donkey and Diddy. "Donkey ? Diddy ?"
"What ! How do you know we're here ?" K. Rool can't believe he saw the Kongs here.
"What should we say ? We can't tell them we got anonymous tip." Diddy whispered to DK.
"We're here because we also after the Crystal Banana, but it seems you beat us to it." Said DK.
"Oh you bet we do, oh and have you met my associates ? This is Princess Shroob, and her older sister." K. Rool introduced the shroob princesses to DK and Diddy.
"Donkey, Diddy, I'm sorry, but they managed to get their hands on the Crystal Banana." Xananab apologized for his failure.
"DK ! This isn't like last time, right now all four of them empowered by the Crystal Banana at the same time !" Diddy assessing the situation.
"Xananab, we must withdraw for now, doesn't seem we'll able to win this !" DK urged Xananab to leave.
"Oh no you don't ! Lumsy ! Let's stop them !" K. Rool and K. Lumsy run towards DK and Diddy.
DK smash the temple floor, stopping K. Rool and K. Lumsy from getting close, however Princess Shroob teleport behind DK and Diddy and blast them with energy ball, knocking the two to the ground.
Elder Princess Shroob grabbed Donkey and Diddy by the neck. "You know, they could prove useful to us, why don't we convert them to be our loyal minions ?"
"I have no objections, we could use more muscle among our ranks." Princess Shroob agreed to her sister idea.
"Now, for the last Crystal Banana." K. Rool and K. Lumsy approached Xananab, however this time the two Kremlings got blasted by lightning.
However because K. Rool and K. Lumsy already empowered by the Crystal Banana, the lightning only inflict minor pain.
"Who did !" Complained K. Rool as he saw the rest of the heroes run finally catch up.
Bowser waste no time punching Elder Princess Shroob, releasing DK and Diddy from her grip.
Bowser about to do the same to Princess Shroob, however her sister got up and blast Bowser with an energy ball, blasting the Koopa King down.
"We're too late, they already possess the Crystal Bananas." Said DK.
"But Xananab has the last one !" Point Diddy.
"We can't let them have all of it !" Meta Knight teleported Xananab back to the Halberd with his golden plate.
"No ! My last Crystal Banana !" Both K. Rool and Princess Shroob said at the same time.
"You will pay for that !" K. Rool used his black plate to lock the heroes teleportation function.
"Now there's nowhere to run." The villains are ready to defeat the heroes, K. Rool's black plate then rings, forcing him to pick it up. "What is it !? This better be important !"
"Sorry for interrupting you boss, but we saw a large ship, with a face and wings in it."
"A ship ?" K. Rool then looked at the heroes. "It must be the ship they use to get here ! Destroy that ship no matter what !"
"OK, sir, alright everyone activate the King Kruzer IV weapons system !"
K. Rool ended communication, while at the same time Princess Shroob contacted the Shroob Commander to destroy the Halberd as well.
Soon Meta Knight golden plate rings.
"Sir, we're under attack from the enemy spaceships." Said Cpt. Vul.
"Hang on, we'll be right out !" Said Meta Knight.
"I'm coming to get you sir !" Exclaimed Cpt. Vul.
Meta Knight saw K. Rool preparing his black plate, most likely to block Cpt. Vul golden plate teleportation.
"No ! Just stay put and deal with the enemies before you, don't worry about us !" Meta Knight ended the communication.
"Going somewhere ?" K. Rool smiled menacingly as he fire a laser beam from his mouth, destroying the path to the altar, empowered by the Crystal Banana.
"I could send them somewhere with the time hole, but I prefer a permanent solution, does everyone agreed ?" Suggested Elder Princess Shroob.
The other 3 villains agreed as the Shroob royals charging energy balls, and K. Rool and K. Lumsy open their mouth and ready to fire laser beam at the heroes.
With the escape route is destroyed, and no time to call for backup the heroes accepts the worst, however Azelf appears in front of the heroes and use Protect, shielding the heroes from K. Rool and K. Lumsy.
"You are ?" Asked DK.
("I am Azelf, i have travel the universe to see what the evil doers are up to, i'm just glad i made it in time.") Azelf introduced itself to the heroes.
"You there ! Don't you dare get in our way !" K. Rool yelled at Azelf.
Both the Shroobs and Kremling royalty decided to combined their power and about to attack Azelf, however Azelf deprived them of their willpower, making the villains losing their will to fight.
"What's going on ? Why do I feel so apathetic all of a sudden ?" Asked K. Rool.
"Everything is pointless." Elder Princess Shroob has ceased hostility and stop trying.
"Sister ? Is there any point of us doing all this ?" Princess Shroob also becoming uncaring, however seeing her sister becoming apathetic, Elder Princess Shroob out of love for her sister quickly used the Crystal Banana to recover her will power and used it to restore the Kremlings and Princess Shroob's willpower.
"Huh ? Why did I just acting all depressed and apathetic ? This must be your doing !" K. Rool harness the Crystal Banana even further, enraged that Azelf used it's power to curb K. Rool's ambition.
("This isn't good, their willpower return to normal, we must withdraw at once.") Said Azelf as it teleport the heroes back to the Halberd.
Halberd
The Halberd is on 2 vs 1 fight against the Shroob and Kremling armada.
King Kruizer IV and Shroob Mothership keep shooting at the Halberd, and several Shroob Saucers shooting the Halberd from left and right side.
At that time Azelf teleported the heroes back to the ship.
"Sir !" Said Cpt. Vul.
"No time ! Get us out of here !" Ordered Meta Knight.
Cpt. Vul used his golden plate and teleport the Halberd away, with the Halberd disappearance, Kremlings and Shroobs ceased their attacks and proceed to conquer Poanet Plantaen.
Outer Space
The heroes looked at Planet Plantaen from space.
"My home has fallen." Xananab looked back at Planet Plantaen as it falls to the Shroob and Kremlings hand.
Kremkroc Industries - Basement B3
The heroes managed to reach B3 floor, once the elevator door opened, the place looks like a Hi tech Sci fi laboratory, with bright white lamps, metallic floors, white walls.
"If I didn't know any better I'd say we're in Corneria." Krystal remarking the lab appearance.
"So we need the key cards to unlock the doors huh ? And we can't just destroy it ?" Asked Dedede.
"Better not, we're just going to alert the enemies." Replied Amy.
"Everyone stop !" Krystal stops everyone. "Look over there." There are security cameras in further in the hallways.
"Good call, Krystal, so I guess this is where your telepathic powers gets to shine." Said Dixie.
"Leave it to me." Once again Krystal enveloped the heroes with illusion.
Krystal's powers allow the heroes to bypass detection even from machines, except from heat sensors, not knowing where to go, the heroes forced to wander around the floor, until...they saw a window and inside the room there are people in it and appears to be talking to each other.
One is a muscular young man with slightly long blonde hair, the other is Kalypso, and next to them is a human man with disheveled appearance, he has a long hair, and wears glasses.
"That's Kalypso, but who is the other two she's talking to ?" Questioned Dixie.
"Maybe the blonde human is Liquid Snake ?" Guessed Amy.
"He doesn't look like Snake at all if you ask me." Said Dedede.
"Maybe the other one is that Xerosic guy ?" Guessed Banjo.
"He looks like a total creep if you ask me." Kazooie remarks at 'Xerosic' appearance.
"We can't hear what they say from here, Krystal can you ?" Asked Dixie.
"I tried, but it seems this wall somehow blocks my telepathic powers." Said Krystal.
"Well there is another way." Dedede point upward to see a vent cover.
"Perfect ! We can sneak in and listen in on their conversation !" Exclaimed Dixie.
"Sorry Dixie, but if all of us get in, I don't think it can support all our weight combined." Said Krystal.
"Okay, I'll go by myself and record the entire conversation." Said Dixie.
"Be warn though, I don't know how far my illusion range is, once you're out of range you will become visible to the enemy, so stay away from their line of sight okay." Warned Krystal.
Dixie nodded as she fly using her hair, open the vent cover and close it back.
"So we just wait for Dixie then ?" Asked Dedede.
"I was hoping for us to steal their key cards should any of them leave the room." Said Krystal.
"Leave that part to me, my beak should be able to do the job done." Kazooie volunteered to steal the key card.
Vent
Dixie crawl through the vent, looking for the room where the villains are talking, soon she found another vent cover and went there, Dixie looked down to see it's the same room the villains are talking, with Dixie able to hear what they say, she decided to use her golden plate to record the entire conversation.
Meeting Room
"I find the results of these are fascinating, most people would succumb at this intensity level, who knew a mere talking monkey can hold such potential." 'Xerosic' seems to be pleased with the result.
"Be that as it may Prof. Hojo, it seems this is as far as our technology combined can go, the Kongs resistance to mind control is no joke." Said Kalypso.
Vent
("Hojo ? Not Xerosic ?") Dixie is confused.
Meeting Room
"I really am grateful being brought back to life, only to find out the uniqueness of science of other worlds." Hojo acting all gleeful learning otherworldly science.
"We're not actually brought back to life, we're just walking corpse unable to disobey our bosses." Clarified Liquid Snake.
"As long as i got immortal body and they allow me to research to my hearts content i couldn't care less." Replied Hojo.
"So Liquid, about the weapons sales ?" Asked Kalypso.
"Swimmingly, the modified R drug managed to induce aggression to wildlife everywhere, making them realize they need our help for either security and defense." Said Liquid Snake.
"The formula for the R drug is different from the Feral Ones elixir I made, but with the help of Prof. Hojo here, we successfully managed to create a new elixir, capable of enhancing animals aggression and power." Said the hideous looking scientist.
"You flatter me Izuka, we barely have enough sample as it is, but our genius able to pull it off." Hojo compliments Izuka.
"Inspired by the hypnoshades, we managed to create mind control accessories, because everyone else's mental fortitude aren't as strong as the Kongs are, and once they put it on, they will unknowingly devote themselves to Neo Subspace Army without drastic changes to their personality."
"Well that's only our part who's assigned here, the rest is up to whoever in charge of the operation." Said Liquid Snake.
"Very well, looks like meeting is done for today, but before that how is Dr. Xerosic ? Surely he's being more cooperative now ?" Asked Kalypso.
"If he knows what good for him, he better." Said Izuka.
"I don't think he would be acting all deviant anymore now that we put a leash on him." Smiled Hojo.
"Alright then, meeting adjourned, you may go back to your current work." Both Hojo and Izuka got up and left the meeting room, however Kalypso stops Liquid Snake.
"Liquid, a word before you leave." Kalypso stops Liquid Snake from leaving.
"What is it ? Is there any problem with my work ?" Asked Liquid Snake.
"No, it's not about that, I was pretty much talking about your personality problems, you seem to be at a loss about what to do, and the other day I heard you shouting so much to whoever you're talking to with your black plate you punch the automatic lock to Lanky Kong prison so hard now it can only read Xerosic's key card." Said Kalypso.
"I'll get that fixed soon, and besides, this is my problem, you wouldn't understand anyway." Said Liquid.
"I know, but it helps if you need someone to talk to, I run a club on Crocodile Island, it's used for rest and relaxation whenever K. Rool not sending us on mission, try visitnit when you have the time." Kalypso give the card of her club, there's written an address to it, after that she left the meeting room.
Liquid Snake, after being brought as Warrior of Fallen Stars, many things revealed to him, that he is the one possessing the superior genes, while Solid Snake is the one with inferior genes, and then Big Boss, having successfully make amends with Solid Snake, tried to do the same to Liquid, however Liquid, through a combination of his ego, and spending years of his life trying to surpass Big Boss, rebuff his attempts every time Big Boss tried to make amends, and now Liquid felt loss as he had no idea what to do with his life now.
"He didn't even bother to use his authority to force me to do his bidding, to late to act like a dad now aren't you ?" Liquid stared solemnly at the table.
Vent
Dixie who managed to record everything, grabbed her golden plate and crawl out-of the vent, she open the vent cover, use her hair to fly and put the cover back in place and descend down.
Basement B3
"You got everything ?" Asked Krystal.
"Well I managed to get the rest of the meeting plans, and it seems the room that contains Lanky Kong only work with Xerosic card, because it's being badly damaged." Dixie told what she hears.
"Great, so this is for nothing then." Kazooie showed Dixie Prof. Hojo key card.
"We won't be needing this." Dixie grabbed the key card and threw it to the floor, "the professor will just think he accidentally dropped it."
"Guess we just have to keep looking for this Xerosic guy then, so much for things to be easy." Sighed Krystal.
The heroes further walk around the floor to find Xerosic.
"You know, from what I heard, it seems that this Xerosic guy doesn't seem to be wanting to help them willingly." Said Dixie.
"So what ? He's held here against his will ?" Asked Amy.
"That's what it sounds like." Answered Dixie.
"Maybe we should rescue him ?" Suggested Banjo.
"I don't know, what I heard they say they got Xerosic to cooperate by 'putting a leash' on him." Said Dixie.
"What does that mean ? Is he being held hostage or something ?" Asked Kazooie.
"If it's true then we can't rescue him until we deal with whatever they use to keep him here." Said Krystal.
The heroes continue their walk to, and after a while they saw a room with someone in it, it's a fat man with white porcelain skin, he has red hair, wearing red lab coat.
"Is that him ?" Asked Dedede.
"No good, these walls blocking my psychic power." Said Krystal.
"So uh ? How are we going to get in ? We threw the key card we stole remember." Said Banjo.
"Since no one here, let's just knock the door." Dixie stand in front of the door and knock it.
Xerosic Lab
"Hmm ? Why are you knocking ? Did you lose your key card ?" Xerosic ask to whoever behind the door.
Dixie didn't answer as she keep knocking, Xerosic decided to just went to the door and open the door with his key card.
Once the door opened, he saw that there's no one outside his lab. "Is this a prank ? The lengths they go to just to look down on me, and after they forcibly break me out from my prison."
Unbeknownst to him, there are people outside his lab, the heroes still covered by Krystal's illusion entered the lab as the door closed.
When Xerosic return to his desk, Krystal poke her staff behind him. "Raise your hand and don't make sudden move."
Xerosic did so as Krystal remove her illusion, making the heroes visible again.
"Dr. Xerosic I presume ? Hand over your key card and no one gets hurt, there's a place we need to go and your key card is crucial for that." Threatened Krystal. "Now turn around."
Xerosic turn around and facing the heroes.
As Krystal about to take Xerosic's key card, Xerosic use his right hand to intercept Krsytal's and use his left hand to grab a pokeball and sent out Crobat and Malamar.
Xerosic then push Krystal down. "I'm not much a physical fighter myself, but the nanomachine injection they gave me really show results."
"Nanomachine injection ?" Asked Dixie.
"A gift to me from Neo Subspace Army after they broke me out from my prison, it was made from a world called Earth, and let's just say I'm intrigued by this technology." Explained Xerosic.
"Hey could this be the 'leash' Dixie said ?" Asked Amy.
"The 'leash' seems to be benefitting him rather than keeping him in chains." Snarked Kazooie.
"You want my key cards ? You need to get through these two first." Xerosic sic Crobat and Malamar to attack the heroes.
Crobat used Air Slash as the heroes dodged the attack, while Malamar use Superpower on Krystal, however Krystal use her staff to conjure a barrier, protecting her from Malamar's attack.
Dedede shoot missiles from his hammer, only for Crobat to cut them to pieces using Cross Poison.
Dixie chases Crobat by flying with her hair, but the bat pokemon prove to be too fast for her to catch up, and so Kazooie decided to get off Banjo's bag and assisting Dixie.
While using Superpower usually tiring the user, Xerosic's Malamar ability is Contrary, meaning instead of tiring the user, using Superpower empowers the user, and so Malamar ended up getting stronger with each use.
Amy and Banjo grabbed Malamar, however the squid pokemon simply spin around and slapped the two with it's tentacles.
Krystal shoots fireball from her staff, however because of Malamar enhanced condition, the fireball did little damage.
Malamar used Psycho Cut at Krystal, but she managed to dodge said attack.
Amy bashed the pokemon with her hammer, but Malamar only flinched a little, Banjo follow up the attack as he grabbed Malamar and throw the pokemon at Xerosic, Xerosic dodge the attack, but 'accidentally' drop his key card.
Dixie and Kazooie have hard time with Crobat, not only the bat pokemon is fast, but also it's evasion and maneuverability is also first class.
Kazooie spit out an egg bomb at Crobat, but the pokemon evade the attack as it hit the items on the labs.
Crobat throwing Air Slash repeatedly, with Dixie and Kazooie dodging the attacks as Crobat's attacks ended up destroying the lab properties.
"Hey over here !" Dixie acted like a distraction, unbeknownst to her she's in front of a security camera, Crobat used Air Slash as Dixie avoids it and destroyed the security camera.
Kazooie shoot an egg bomb, and with Crobat got distracted, it got hit by the egg bomb and the pokemon fell down.
Seeing the security camera destroyed, Xerosic decided to got up and put an end to the fighting. "I believe that's enough, there's no need to go at it any further, I surrender and my key card is yours." Xerosic concede defeat.
"Really ? You give up just like that ?" Dixie sounded confused.
"Really, most of the stuff here is destroyed, there's no need to keep this up, now hurry up, there's no doubt everyone else notices the fight, go now if you don't want to be caught." Said Xerosic.
"Why don't you come with us ? I know you're here against your will." Offered Dixie.
"Like I said, I'm fascinated by the nanomachines, I doubt your side have what I need to study them, now begone." Answered Xerosic.
"Before you go, if you wish to rescue the orange Oranguru held captive here's the direction." Xerosic told the heroes where to go in order to reach Lanky Kong Cell.
"Thank you for telling us where we need to go." Dixie grabbed Xerosic's key card as she and the heroes run towards Lanky Kong's cell.
With the heroes gone, Xerosic looked at his Crobat. "Crobat, use Leech Life...on me, after that drop the blood here." Xerosic prepared a beaker.
Crobat reluctantly obeyed as it bit Xerosic and such his blood, after that Crobat spit Xerosic's blood out and not drink them and Crobat did so.
Xerosic looked at his computer screen to see he has less nanomachines in his body thanks to Crobat.
"So...this is one...way to...do...it." Xerosic sit down in exhaustion as he lost significant amount of blood. "Malamar, take me to the infirmary, and get rid of the evidence." Malamar teleported the blood samples to some unknown location.
Basement B3
Thanks to Xerosic instruction, the heroes finally found Lanky Kong cell, Dixie used Xerosic's key card to open the door.
Lanky Kong Cell
The heroes found Lanky Kong with his arms and legs locked in restraints.
"Lanky !" Dixie quickly rushed to him.
"Dixie ?" Asked the exhausted Lanky Kong.
"We're here now, we're going to save you !" Exclaimed Dixie.
"We need to remove those restraints first !" Dedede went to the control panel and tried to release Lanky Kong, after pressing a few buttons, the restraints on Lanky Kong opened as he fall down, but Dixie able to catch him.
"Thanks King Dedede." Dixie thanked Dedede for rescuing Lanky Kong.
"21st century technology is no match for my brain." Boasted Dedede.
"We have to leave now !" Krystal enveloped her and the heroes in illusion again, but then Krystal also cast illusion on the holding cell to make it look like Lanky Kong is still here.
"I'll carry him." Dedede carry Lanky Kong over his shoulder.
Soon the alarm rings, warning the villains that they have been infiltrated.
"Everyone follow me, i'll use my tarot card to find the less protected route." Amy preparing her cards.
The heroes decided to trust her as Amy takes the lead.
Basement B3
"Everyone be careful, just because we're invisible to them that doesn't mean we're intangible or inaudible." Warned Krystal one last time as she enveloped the heroes with illusion.
As the heroes make their move, so far they're able to avoid every enemies coming their way, mostly robots, even avoiding physical contact.
"Where do they get their robots ?" Asked Banjo.
"Andross's technologies, he must've supplied the Kremlings with his machines." Answered Krystal.
"So all of the robots down here we've seen so far, are Andross's ?" Asked Dedede.
"Yeah, but to think that there's this many." Commented Krystal.
"This way !" Said Amy as the heroes followed her.
The heroes soon encounter a window, and they saw a large room, but what's surprising is, that in the middle there are 4 diamond like objects mass producing the robots used as the factory security.
"Hey ! I remember that thing ! That's the Holo Defense API ! Hartmann Works made that thing to create a solid hologram of our enemies !" Exclaimed Dedede. "Although they seemed to improve their technology, before the colors doesn't match the real thing, now they look identical, some of the machines we encounter could be a hologram generated by this thing."
"Solid holograms ? No, never mind, this isn't what we came here for, we will talk about this with the others later." The heroes decided to ignore it for the time being as they continue to head to the elevator.
However when the heroes arrived they saw Liquid Snake standing near the elevator.
"Great, this guy here, how are we going to get past him ?" Whispered Kazooie.
("Hmm...the alarm rings, the enemies is no joke to be able to slip past our defenses, but this elevator is the only entrance and exit so, not to mention the alarm only meant to ring once the captive is rescued, if i analyze the enemy movements then they should be here...NOW") Liquid Snake quickly throw a smoke bomb.
The heroes got caught off guard and cough from the smoke, this expose them to Liquid Snake and begin shooting the heroes with his gun, however Krystal quickly set up a barrier, but it dispel her illusions.
"You can turn yourself invisible huh ? That explains how you're able to slip past us easily, and now i see we need to upgrade our defenses." Said Liquid Snake.
("We don't have time to deal with him, if we waste time here it will be a matter of time until the guard robots arrived here.") Krystal telepathically relay her thoughts to the others.
Liquid Snake keep shooting, however the bullets unable to pierce Krystal's barrier. "Not bad, so this is what a weapon from another world is capable of." Liquid put his gun back to his holster and begin to charge at Krystal and begin punching the barrier.
Despite Liquid Snake repeatedly punching the barrier, Krystal still doesn't budge.
"This is a waste of time isn't it ?" Asked Krystal.
"For you maybe." Replied Liquid Snake as he keep punching the barrier.
And soon the heroes noticed the horde of robots gaining on them.
"Krystal, horde of robots coming our way !" Shouted Dixie.
"I was wondering why the alarm rings, so this is why ?" Kalypso appear before the heroes. "I have to say I'm impressed you managed to slip past our defenses, then again it hasn't been long since we renovate this factory."
"Kalypso, you and Liquid better out of our way !" Dixie made her demand.
"I'm afraid I won't comply, and besides we still have use for Lanky Kong." Kalypso point at Lanky Kong.
"...alright, we give you Lanky Kong, and in exchange you allow us to leave." Answered Krystal.
"WHAT ! Krystal ! Are you being serious !" The others protest Krystal's decision.
Krystal looked behind and winked at the heroes. ("I have a plan, follow my lead.")
Krystal telepathically instruct the heroes on what to do as she bluff her way. "Yes, no matter how you look at it, we're at disadvantage, pushing through with this doesn't benefit us at all."
The heroes look at themselves surrounded with no way out, causing the others to relent as Dedede put down Lanky Kong. "Here, put him back to his cell."
Liquid Snake and Kalypso approached Lanky Kong as the heroes went to the elevator, however as Liquid Snake touched Lanky, 'Lanky' dissipates, revealing that he's just an illusion, both Liquid and Kalypso is shocked and looked behind to see the elevator has gone up.
"They tricked us !" Liquid pressed the elevator button, but it's pointless.
"To think they'd be this crafty." Kalypso gritted her teeth, she picked up her black plate and call for reinforcements.
Elevator
"That's was clever Krystal, creating illusion of Dedede putting down Lanky while we sneak in to the elevator is pure genius." Dixie praised Krystal's sneakiness.
"Thanks, but this isn't over yet, once we reached the ground floor let's not waste time, use our golden plate to teleport back to our mansion." Krystal already preparing hers.
The elevator finally reached the ground floor.
When the door opened the heroes are surrounded by the security drones waiting for them with Klump standing in the middle. "You have nowhere to run."
"Oh we don't ? Last time i check only the basement floors can block our escape route." Krystal tapped her golden plate and that teleported the heroes out from the factory, with Klump realizing which floor he is throwing temper tantrum as the heroes escape.
Infirmary
Malamar, having tentacles as hands and psychic powers, are then ones treating Xerosic, by telekinetically moving the bandages.
Kalypso entered the infirmary to check on Xerosic.
"Did you managed to capture them ?" Xerosic asked Kalypso.
"Unfortunately no, and since I haven't heard anything from upstairs it safe to assume they got away from here." Said Kalypso. "So what about you ? Did they injure you badly ?"
"Thankfully no, just need to patch the injured location with a bandage, but I may be need a few more time time rest before I can get back to work." Replied Xerosic. "My pokemons can take care of me in the meantime."
"I see, very well, stay here, and please get well soon." Kalypso wishing for Xerosic to get well soon.
Before she leave, Xerosic ask Kalypso a question. "Why do you try to break me out of prison ?"
"Do you want to stay there ?" Asked Kalypso.
"...well..." Xerosic stay quiet as he didn't want to divulge more information.
"Your knowledge is very valuable to us, I do hope you will show gratitude to those who freed you with that brain of yours." Krystal left the infirmary.
"Gratitude huh ? It seems my punishment isn't over yet." Xerosic reminisce, when he was held prisoner by the International Police, Neo Subspace Army staged a jailbreak, Xerosic however refuse to leave, but the villains forcibly dragged Xerosic into joining Neo Subspace Army and injecting him with nanomachines as insurance.
Finally done, i was at a loss on how to do this chapter, i want to include more villain team ups to introduce new enemies and reintroduce the ones that haven't show up after their debut chapter.
Kremkroc Industries in the game is a run down factory with numerous safety violations that in real life would be forced to shut down, then again the king is the owner of the factory, but here the factory is completely refurbished, the lighting, walls, floors, everything of the factory is fixed to make better working condition, even for pragmatic reasons.
Just like Chaos Emeralds, the Crystal Banana can bestow new powers to whoever harnessing it's power.
