Chapter 6. False protection, escaping from the base, still on the run
On a base owned by the Federation, it's commander is seen talking in a private room with someone through secret messages that no one knows about.
Female Commander: so you want me to obtain the data on the mobile suit for you?
?: that's correct.
Female Commander: now why do you want it's data so badly?
?: thank about it, do you really believe the federation you serve so faithfully will make things better for everyone?
Female Commander: …
?: once this war is over, they'll put pressure on the space colonies and then the chaos will just happen all over again, do you really want that to happen?
Female Commander: … okay, fine I will make sure to get that data for you.
?: good.
The call soon ended and the commander steps out of the room and heads to the command room to see where the Pegasus ship is located right now and noticed that it's coming to there base, this puts a smile on the Commander's face.
Federation Commander: it looks like luck is on my side.
(Scene Change)
With the Pegasus ship the crew noticed a base that is owned by the Federation which gives everyone a relief so they can rest a bit more after encountering Zion forces for a while.
Operator: caption Bright, we see the base!
Bright: try to make contact with them so we can have permission to dock there.
Operator: yes sir!
The Operator sends out a message to the base who received it they are then permitted to enter the base and rest, as for the Zion ships that were following them secretly they stopped so they can stay out of sight of the enemy.
Zion soldier: looks like the enemy is inside the base now, it's going to be impossible to attack them now.
Zion commander: … I have an idea, it's risky but it just might work. Get a team together immediately!
Zion soldier: yes sir!
Back with the Pegasus ship, the crew gets off of the ship and is greeted by the commander of the base.
Federation Female Commander: so you are the crew of the Pegasus ship?
Bright: yes ma'am!
Federation Female Commander: … your crew is full of children captain Bright?
Bright: it's difficult to explain… but our situation was very bad, we also lost most of our professional soldiers the only one left is Joshua along with a civilian who accidentally piloted the Gundam.
Federation Female Commander: ? A civilian piloted the experimental secret mobile suit?
Bright: yes that's right.
Federation Female Commander: … who is it?
Bright: that boy right there in the military suit for new recruits, his name is Yushai.
Federation Female Commander: … he's so young. Well all of you can rest for now until we can refuel your ship along with giving you supplies.
Bright: thank you ma'am!
The crew goes to rest in the base but Yushai felt something was off and he wasn't the only one Shinji and the others felt it too including Chifuyu.
Meanwhile outside of the base the Zion soldiers put on some stealth tech and was getting ready to infiltrate the federation base and lower its defenses so they can attack it.
Zion commander: I'm counting on you all to complete the mission.
Zion soldiers: yes sir!
The men soon got ready to head out to fulfill their mission the Zaku could only get them there halfway otherwise they be spotted once they were close enough the rest was up there men as they infiltrated the base on there own.
Back with the Pegasus crew Yushai and the others had a secret talk about what is happening on the base as they something isn't right and that they have to escape immediately.
Yushai: do anyone know how we can escape from this situation?
Joshua: there is one way but it's going to be tricky and two of our mobile suits is being locked down so we can't get to them.
Shinji: that is bad… wait you said two, there's one more we haven't used yet?
Kensuke: wait is it that one unit that is being manufactured with many others looking just like it?
Joshua: yup that's the one, they must've seen it not as important as the Gundam, so we will have to use that one to get out of here.
Kensuke: wait whose going to pilot it? we know Yushai can't because they will know immediately he is missing.
Joshua: hmmm… your right, that means one of you have to do it.
Hibiki: I can't do it.
Toji: neither can I.
Joshua: your right, and I can't since they know how skilled I am as an Ace pilot, so that only leaves only one person left.
Everyone looks at Shinji, whose confused at first until he immediately realized what Everyone is thinking.
Shinji: I have to do it? But I can't be a pilot…
Joshua: I know you don't want to Shinji, but you're the only one that can do it not only that but Chifuyu is also in a band since she is a top I.S pilot and so is Maya, so it has to be you, also I don't trust that commander, she is definitely hiding something.
Shinji: … fine… I'll do it.
Joshua: you won't be alone Shinji, Kensuke will tell you how to operate it, alright everyone let's get to work.
Joshua opened up an air vent for Shinji and Kensuke to go through in order to reach the ship, meanwhile Bright and Chifuyu are seen talking to the commander as she demands that they hand over the Gundam data to her, this confused both of them.
Bright: why do you want the combat data on the Gundam?
Chifuyu: …
Federation Female Commander: because captain Bright, the higher ups want it in safer hands so nothing terrible happens to us in the near future.
Chifuyu: … why in the world would the higher ups of the federation tell you that?
Federation Female Commander: you, yourself should understand Chifuyu Omimura, once the war is over what do you think is going to happen?
Then the federation soldiers comes in and pointed there weapons at them, the Commander then continued talking.
(Armored Core 4 – Blind Alley)
Federation Female Commander: back before the war started we had world peace, we didn't even know about the space colonies until they invaded earth, not to mention they created weapons that surpassed our current military weapons including the I.S which was supposed to be the ultimate weapon in the world, does that not tell you two that they are hiding something from us and the rest of humanity?
Bright and Chifuyu: …
Unknown to everyone, Zion soldiers has already infiltrated the base and began sabotaging the equipment inside of it, meanwhile Shinji and Kensuke were able to board the ship and reach the hanger bay they find the third mobile suit that is being mass produced by the military, Kensuke shows Shinji how to turn it on and how to pilot it.
Kensuke: okay Shinji your all set.
Shinji: okay… here I go!
The mobile suit comes out of the hanger destroy most of the equipment that is holding the ship in place, Bright and Chifuyu sees the mobile suit from the command room.
Federation Female Commander: what!? I didn't know there was a third mobile suit!?
Chifuyu: whoever in the mobile suit, attack this room!
Shinji: w-what?
Bright: do it!
Shinji attacks the command room destroying it but luckily both Bright and Chifuyu escaped from their, the rest of the crew also escaped when the power in the base suddenly shut off and is suddenly attacked by Zion forces once again, once inside the Pegasus ship Yushai quickly gets into the Gundam and prepares to fight the enemy and escape but Joshua stopped him.
Joshua: hold on kid equip the sword pack!
Yushai: sword pack?
Kensuke: don't worry I got it!
The sword along with other close range combat weapons are then equipped to the Gundam,once done Yushai heads out to fight the enemy forces, Zion sends out there mobile suits in order to take control of the base but Yushai starts cutting them down one after another, Shinji shots down most of the enemy's in order to protect the ship so they can escape, Joshua is busy protecting the bridge of the ship until Bright and Chifuyu finally returned and gives the order.
Bright: full speed ahead get us out of here immediately!
Operator: roger sir!
The Pegasus ship soon quickly started to move in order to escape, both Yushai and Shinji mobile suits lands on top of the ship next to Joshua as they all escape from the base that has now been captured by Zion as they are still being chased.
(Scene change)
Another Zion fleet is seen with the view of earth in site, Blaze's ship is seen joining up with them to hatch there plan and put it into motion.
Blaze: everything is almost set in place all that's left is to wait for the Pegasus ship to come.
The Zion fleet waits patiently for there target to come so they may destroy it.
Then everything fades to black.
