The Carmine Scene is moreso her being Frustrated at her not winning the Orge Ousting Event since while Nemona didn't beat her (Due to the whole 'Rivalry' Carmine had towards Nemona due to Geeta's 'Stellar' Parenting of the Former and Kieran as well as treating the latter with more 'affection' then her, So her Jealousy is under the Impression if she can beat Nemona, Geeta will finally show her and Kieran some Parental Love as well)
And Yeah, Hard Agreement with you on the Juliana/Arven and Juliana/Kieran debate as well, Both are valid picks for Juliana but Arven's someone I feel more attached too as well.
(Kieran's Arc is valid but Arven just feels like a better fit for Juliana and I liked Arven more then Kieran at least as well but I can appericate Kieran being the Hostile Rival Bede never was however)
(Carmine and Kieran don't have love interests in my Stories as well btw (They got issues they need to overcome first before finding a significant other), Same with Nemona due to her being asexual in my stories)
That said, I hope I can do my best with Juliana and Arven in this Story like your versions of them as well! ;)

Fair points on the whole 'Penny's dislike of Rose' Gag, It's easy to overdo a Gag when you're not careful about it (Especially since Rose is a more acceptable target then Geeta as well) But I'll promise to avoid overdoing it at least.
But I'm glad I did Justice with the other stuff in the Previous Chapter as well like the Orge Ousting as well as the Scenes with Orgepon, Penny/Kieran as well as the set up for Volo with the Ruins and Rika's Scenes as well.
Since you're a Rika Fan, Hopefully I can do this Next Chapter Justice at least.
Given what I'm doing with Rika in this Story, I hope I can handle her personality well at least (That said, MASSIVE Thanks for your Advice in our PM Fics for stuff like this at least Inu, You're a massive help on stuff like this)

Yeah, Pokemon Merfolk Stories aren't exactly common in the Pokemon Community (Yet alone Paldea Focused ones) so I figured a Mermaid Story with the Paldea Cast could work at least.
Similarly, Carmine's anger is part of her Tsundere personality but Mermaid Legends has her whole Nemona Jealousy as well (Thank Geeta's 'Stellar' parenting in this Fic since she's the Mother of Carmine and Kieran in this fic as well)
And as for Kieran, Oh trust me, I got plans for him in this fic, Especially with the events of Indigo Disk/Blueberry Academy
So you'll see Edgy Kieran eventually, but not now….

World of Pokemon, Paldea Region, North Paldean Sea, Rika's Current Location:
"Alright, Here we go…" Said Rika to herself and her Wiscash/Clodsire as they swam past the familiar depths of the Paldean Sea,
The Trail back to her home, A Place she has no right to return to because of her impulsive actions back then.
As she passed by Bio luminous crystals linning the path (A Natural source of Light beyond the Tynamo Line for Merfolk)
As Rika swam deeper into the path leading to her former home, the Green haired Mermaid felt a sense of sadness as she recalled her past…
When she was not exiled form her family and tribe… and when she and Tulip are still friends.

When Rika was younger (7 years old), North Paldean Sea, Paldean Merfolk Tribe Settlement:
"Tag your it!" Said a Younger Rika to one of her fellow Mer-children as she touched her hands onto a fellow Mergirl, Her Paldean Wooper and Barboach swimming alongside her, The two of them watching as their sister was currently playing with several of her fellow merchildren as well in the Coral populated square of the Merfolk Settlement
The Merfolk Settlement wasn't a grand underwater city but a Series of Carven and Sunken Shipwrecks the Paldean Merfolk call home.
It wasn't much but it was a Place that the Paldean Merfolk could call home with the Tribe Elders and their Pokemon Siblings helping guard them while they gather food and relics they could research on as Paldean Merfolk are often knowledge seekers as well.
"Aw man," Said the Mergirl with a Bob blond haircut whom has a Qwilfish Fin on her back as well as a Yellow mermaid tail. "You got as again Rika."
"True, I suppose being a Veluza Mermaid, Speed is something you have as well…" Said another Mergirl, This one having a Ponytail hairstyle as well as both a Luvdisc Fin and a Green Mermaid tail. "You're the Fastest of us merkids right now as well."
"That's True…" Said Rika with a Confident smirk, The young green haired Veluza Mermaid showing pride in this as well,
But her attention was soon focused onto a new face, A Young tanned skin Gorebyss Mermaid with Purple hair and a Purple Mermaid Tail and a Staryu by her side, Watching nervously as Rika felt a Sense of mild infatuation when she saw the young Mermaid.
"Eh, Hello?" Said the New Mermaid as she and her Staryu questioned to the Other Merchildren, Before Rika and her Pokemon Siblings approached her.
"Hey there! I'm Rika! This is my Siblings Muddy and Whiskers!" Said Rika to the new Mermaid as her Pokemon Siblings also greeted the newcomer as well.
"Wooper!/(Hello!)" Were the responses form the Two Pokemon as the new Mermaid just chuckle at this.
"H-hi, My name is Tulip… And I'm new here…Me and my Family moved form Kalos to here." Said the Mermaid who's name is Tulip as she smiled back to Rika whom smiled back to her.
The Latter felt her heartbeat rising as she did, No doubt infuatiation emerging as she did.

To say the first time she meet Tulip was something for young Rika, Almost like a Princess meeting her prince in a Fairy Tale.
It was a Feeling she never forget as well as she avoided anyone form noticing her not that she's back in her home and being exiled means she's not wanted here…
The two of them became close Friends as time went on, and had so many adventures…
And one she wished she never thought about that kick started what tore them apart….

In the Deepest Caves of the Paldean Merfolk Tribe Settlement,
"Come on Tulip! You got to see this!" Said Rika as she and Tulip swam in a cavern towards the Depths of the Merfolk Settlement,
"Wait up Rika! What is it you want to show me?" Tulip questioned as their Pokemon Siblings followed behind.
"This!" Said Rika as she and Tulip arrived in a Large Part of the Cavern which in the Middle of it, Place on a Pillar was a Large Tera Crystal like Heart, Shining in Many Colours and Glimmers radiating all 18 types,
With two Merguards by the Side, Them holding spears and their Pokemon by their side as well.
"Rika, Is that?" Tulip questioned in awe as Rika smirked back to her.
"Yup, It's our Tribe's Relic that we keep watch of!" Said Rika as she turned to her friend. "It's like the Bracelet of Beauty for you Kalosian Merfolk as well… it's pretty impressive I admit."
"Though, Do you guys keep watch over it?" She questioned as the Kalosian Mermaid nodded back.
"Well, It's usually the Princess of the Tribe whom's it's guardian at least," Tulip answered back to her friend. "It's a Tradition by the Kalosian Merfolk since we consider it to be safe on the current heir at the time."
"Interesting…Guess there's wrong with touching the Relics despite the Grown Ups saying those unworthy of it would be consumed by it's power as well…" Rika answered back as she swam closer to the Relic, Much to Tulip's Concern.
"Wait are you sure Rika?" Said Tulip in a Worried tone as Rika just laughed it off.
"Well, I suppose a small touch won't hurt…" said Rika as she was ready to touch the Relic…
"Halt!" Said one of the Mer Guards as she and her Partner swam in front of the Two Merchildren with their Veluzas siblings by their side.
"Sorry Miss Madeline, I just wanted to show Tulip our Relic and it won't hurt to touch it at least…"
"Look Rika, You know the Rules, The Relic must not be touched for a Reason…" Said Madeline with a Firm tone as her Veluza brother nodded in agreement. "You know the Legend of how they're tied to the Hero of Hisui and all."
"Y-yes…" Said Rika as Tulip did the same thing.
"Now we're letting you and Tulip off the hook for now… But there won't be any leniency the next time however…" Said Madeline's Fellow Guard as she
"Understood," Said Rika as she and her Friend began to swim back out of the Cavern, No doubt understanding she's lucky she only got a warning and not an exile at least.
If only it would last however…

Pushing aside the Memories of when she and Tulip are still friends (Which includes Tag, Playing in the Shipwrecks and just being together) while seeing (In her mind) younger versions of them playing in the Coral Square they once played in (With newer Merchildren doing the same as well)
Things would go smoothly as time went on, Had she was able to keep her emotions in check all because of when she and Tulip meet Dendra (The Current Gym Teacher of Narjanja Academy)
Tulip and Rika meet her when they ventured to the Surface one day, and the three became friends shortly afterwards.
The Three becoming Friends with games played between them not only in the Sea but on the Surface as well.

When Rika was 9 Years old, South Province:
"Tag your it!" Said a Young Dendra (Whom was wearing a Young Girl's Shorts and Shirt that was black and fitting for a Tomboy as well) with her Makuhita by her side as she tagged a Young Rika (In her Human Form wearing a White shirt and Pants) while Tulip (Wearing a Purple skirt and shirt) with their Pokemon by their side.
"Aw man!" Said Rika as she felt the tables have turned since she's not used to walking on Land compared to Tulip as having legs then a Mermaid Tail is a far different experience.
"I thought I was the best in the Sea in terms of the Kids in me and Tulip's Tribe, But guess not."
"Aw don't worry Rika, You did great…" Said Tulip as she smiled back to her Best Friend as she smiled back to her.
"I suppose…" Said Rika as Dendra just smiled back to her Friend.
"Hey don't worry about, It's all fun and games after all." Said the Human Girl to her Mermaid Friends she looked at Tulip before turning to Rika, A Slight resentment briefly emerging in the Latter as she looked at her Mermaid Friend and her Human Friend looking first at each other.

But deep down, Rika felt a sense of Jealousy towards Dendra, Which only grew more and more with how close she and Tulip became as well, Her own feelings growing in
When Rika was about to propose to Tulip, She learnt that Dendra beaten her to the Punch and became the latter's Girlfriend as well.
Enraged by this, Rika quickly did the one thing even her younger self won't do and that's trying to steal the Cupid Heart to use on Tulip to force her to love her instead.
'Here goes nothing Rika thought to herself as she knew history was about to repeat itself again… And not for the better as she swam down the path that cost her everything before Geeta took her in.

When Rika was 14 Years Old, Cupid Heart Relic Cavern:
'Alright, Here goes nothing…' Said Rika to herself as she swam into the Depths of the Relic Room with Muddy now a Clodsire and Whiskers a Whiscash as well, No doubt ready to do her plan to win Tulip over no matter what.
'I'm sure if I can just get the Cupid Heart out of here as quickly as I could, Then I can do so without causing Trouble AND Win Tulip over!' She said to herself as she, Muddy and Whiskers approached the Relic.
The shining Crystal was already too tempting to resist it's urge and she's not about to risk her chance at being with Tulip.
'Alright here goes nothing!' Said Rika as she grabbed the Relic form it's resting spot, Her Pokemon smiling in relief at this as Rika smirked to herself, Unaware the Corruptive effect of the Cupid Heart was infecting her as her mind wasn't thinking Straight as well.
'Alright, It's time… Time for Tulip to fall in love with me… forever and ever and e-' Rika thought to herself, Her face already smirking maliciously like a Zoroark as she felt the Cupid Heart's Power already coursing through her, unaware her darkest thoughts are coming to the Surface….
As the Relic was soon taken away form her with Madeline's Partner holding the Relic and Madeline herself glaring back at Rika as the Relic's absence in her Arms snapped Rika back to Reality.
"Rika, Did we told you about the Relics and not touching them once?" Said Madeline whom's face bears a Look of Dissapointment, Her Partner and their Veluza Siblings sharing the same expression as well.
"Maldeine! I can explain! I-it's just a mis-" Rika stuttered in a Fanatic tone as fear was already creeping behind her like a Pyroar approaching a herd of Skiddo and/or Blitzle for a meal,
She was doomed, Madeline and her Partner aren't buying her reasons at all, and all it's doing was just setting up her grave even more as well… (Figurately, But whatever punishment she'll get is certainly shapping up to be exile for sure…)
"Save it Rika, The Elders of the Tribe will decide your Fate…" They said as they held as Rika's face turned pale and the Veluza Mermaid's Hands are held in a Grip
It was the End, Her Fate was sealed as her face turned to horror as she plead and Struggle form the Guard's Grip while her Pokemon are held back by the Guards' Veluza Siblings
But in the end, It was pointless,
Her Jealousy cost her not only her Friend/Crush but her home and family as well….

Rika can still hear the memories of her Mother begging the Elders of the Tribe to not exile her with Tulip doing the same thing.
But it was too late, The Elders decided Rika was to be exiled and never allowed contact with anyone form her Tribe again…
Casting her off into the Depths outside of the Settlement to meet her end…
Which she would had not been for Geeta's Rescue of her* and subsequently being her friend and employee when the two of them ended up as part of the Paldea League as well.

After Rika's Exile, Geeta's Lair:
Her Head is still thumping like crazy, her body feels limp and yet, she's not exactly completely dead right now…
"Nrrggghhhh…." Said Rika to herself as she slowly got back up as her eyes blinked several times before she then noticed Whiskers and Muddy watching in concern for her, Her body covered in Seaweed Bandages as well.
"Muddy… Whiskers… Where are we?" Said Rika as she recalled the last thing she recalled was being attacked by a Sharpedo pack and then her mind went blank afterwards…
And she wasn't in Heaven or Hell, That's for sure…Cause she's not near Yveltal's Doors or even seeing Arceus himself… But in a Large Seafloor Cavern on a small bed with her Pokemon by her side.
But before her Pokemon could answer her question, They were interrupted by an Unfamilar voice.
"So you're awake then, That's good to see…"
Rika and her Siblings soon turned to see of all things a Tanned dark skin Malamar Cecaelia with Black Tentacles approaching her with an Eelektross by her side.
"You're a Cecaelia!?" Rika said in Shock as she knew Merfolk adults then to warn Children to avoid a Cecaelia as no doubt their ancient history shown they're bitter rivals as part of their curse their ancestors (The Hisuian Sisters and their Followers) were inflected by as Punishment by Arceus himself.
"Indeed I am… My name is Geeta…" Said the Malamar Cecaelia to the Veluza Mermaid as she swam towards her.
"And I saved you…" She continued as Rika looked back in shock at this, No doubt a Cecaelia would never try to help a Mermaid according to her Mother and the other elders of her Tribe as well.
"Really?" She questioned with a Catious tone as Geeta smiled back to her.
"Indeed… I take you are exiled by dear Rika (Your Siblings told me your name if you're wondering)?" Geeta questioned back to her as Rika nodded back in agreement.
"Yes I am…" Said Rika as she smiled back to Geeta, No doubt while she's still wary of the Cecaelia right now, She did saved her life after all. "Thank you for that."
"No problem for that Rika, You need a Shoulder to Cry on, Let me that shoulder for you…." Said Geeta as Tears rolled form Rika's Eyes as she did, No doubt happy to see someone helping her after her exile as well.

She was thankful for Geeta's Rescue and was in debt to her because of it.
Helping her when the Latter took the Position of Top Champion while Geeta helped Rika get over Tulip is something that worked out for the two as well.
Especially when Little Poppy was recruited into the Elite 4.
The Young Lass was a Unique Trainer to say the least,
Not only was she a Skilled Trainer but as the child of two Pokemon Rangers in a Nature Reserve for Steel Types in Paldea, Poppy's able to befriend a Whole Team of Pokemon which Geeta sought out to be used as a Member of her Elite 4 alongside Rika which the Veluza Mermaid developed a Soft spot for the Young Girl as well.
Which in someways hopefully can help her avert the mistakes she did as well.
'Glad Poppy's doing well at least…' Rika thought to herself, Banishing the mindset of the abuse Carmine and Kieran gotten form Geeta as well as Relief said abuse never happened to Poppy as well (Or Nemona for that matter) as she then spotted the Cupid Heart Relic, Still where it once stood after her attempt theft of it.
But instead of Madeline or her Partner, There are two New Merguards whom are also guarding it with their Veluza Partners instead.
'Prefect, It works to my favor at least.' Rika smirked to herself as she knew Security wasn't altered since the Paldean merfolk took guarding the Relics Seriously (And judging form the lack of other exiled Merfolk like she was, it doesn't appear anyone else was stupid enough to do what she did before as well)
But the fact these guards are new means she got an idea that can work perfectly as well.
"Alright, Here's the Plan Whiskers, Muddy, I need you two to distract the new Guards while I snatch the Relic…" She said to her two Pokemon as they nodded back,
The two Pokemon quickly created a small distraction as they fired a Mud Shot at part of the Cavern and causes a small rockfall in it, Distracting the Guards and their Veluzas to investigate it while Rika swam towards the Cupid Heart, Quickly grabbing it as she did.
'Alright, No more gloating! Time to flee!' Said Rika to herself as she quickly grabbed the Relic as she fled form the Cavern and out of the Settlement,
Completing her mission for Geeta as well.
And when the Guards soon turned around, They looked in horror as the Paldean merfolk Relic is nowhere to be seen as well.
It was stolen under their noses as well.
"We're screwed…." Was the Current Guard's Reaction to the Missing Relic to her Partner whom shares the same fear as well at this turn of events.

At the Same time in Geeta's Lair,
Geeta smirked with Glee as she looked at the Recorded Footage via her Dragapult as she looked back to her and then to the footage she saw via the waterproof monitor she's currently watching form as she looked at the Man currently battling the Tablets of Ruin (Named Wo-Chen) which he used his Togekiss to flinch the Beast with Various Air Slashes before paralysing it with said Togekiss' Thunder Wave before he threw an old Hisuian Style Ultra Ball, Which sealed the Snail like Creature's fate as one of his Pokemon.
Before the Merchant let out a Malicious smirk at this before he healed his Togekiss and flew off quickly as well.
'Well, Not only does it appears the 'Traitorous Merchant' of the days of Hisui is still alive all this time…' the Malamar Cecaelia thought to herself while she stroked on her tentacles as well, no doubt said Merchant being the focus of her attention ATM.
His Possible Relation to Cynthia (Due to how similar they look and form what she saw in the Footage, How similar his fighting style was to Sinnoh Resident 'Goddess', as well as his Interest in History much like Diantha's Close Friend and Confidant) is worrying given Cynthia's Status as one of the Strongest Champions in the World means her Possible Ancestor is likely the same as well.
'But on the Flipside, It means I finally got a way to get the Ruins without having to risk exposing my plans to Juliana or even Nemona as well….' The Malamar Cecaelia continued to herself as she rewind the Footage to Volo before he unsealed the Ruins (Or rather, The Book he used to unseal Wo-Chen and the Unown Text being the key)
While tricking Juliana to get the Ruins could work… She knew it'll risk exposing her plans for her and causing a derail she can't risk occurring given her status as Paldea's Top Champion.
Same with Nemona as no doubt while the Girl may be 'The daughter she always wanted' to the public, Geeta knew like Juliana, Nemona can't know whom she really as a Person especially knowing she can't lose such a Powerful trainer like her as well, Especially if she ends up learning Carmine and Kieran are her kids and the abuse she did to them being a Red Flag that could cost Nemona's Trust in her as well, Something she never reveals to even Diantha despite their Rivalry with each other)
'Once I get the Ruins as well as both Terapagos and the Pecha Demon, I'll truly be unstoppable!' Geeta continued her train of thought with malicious Intent as she took out a Scroll (Made form Seaweed) and a Special Ink and Quill Pen as she began to write down the symbols of the Unown into the Book, No doubt it appears the Chant is enough to unseal Wo-Chen so there's no need to risk her plans being ruined by having to find and defeat Volo as well.
'I suppose the Ancient Wielders whom sealed the Ruins away made it as a Fall-safe if there's a way to tame the Ruins or another Wielder to bypass the need of a Pure Hearted Trainer to pull the stakes and bring ruin to Paldea but either way, it works for me at least…' The Top Champion Malamar Cecaelia thought to herself as she began to plan which Ruin to capture while writing down the symbols (Carefully) to be used to help her unseal them for her own goals as well.
With Wo-Chen out of the Picture no thanks to the Treacherous Merchant, That leaves just Chen-Pao, Chi-Yu and Ting-Lu to add to her forces.
'I Suppose the Sword of Hatred would be my first pick… Though while Chi-Yu does have a certain flare… I suppose I'll go after Ting-lu ne-' admitted Geeta to herself as she was soon interrupted by a Familiar face.
"Geeta, I'm back!" Said a Familiar voice as Geeta smiled at this (As she was just finished with writing down the Unown Symbols of Volo's Book onto her scroll), no doubt this means Rika has fulfilled her task and obtained the Cupid Heart form her Former Tribe.
"Ah Rika, I take you have succeeded with your task" Questioned Geeta as she knew the tone means Rika succeed in her task and obtained the First of the Relc
"Indeed Geeta, and here it is!" Rika said as she took out the Cupid Heart, Geeta's Inner excitement growing (Like a Dynamaxed Pokemon) as she knew this means she's one step closer to the Devine Tempest and Terapagos as well (Especially once she gets her hands on the Malevolent Pecha Demon and it's Minions (That was fought by the Hero of Hisui, Terapagos and the other Ten Noble Pokemon) as well as whatever Treasure of Ruins she can get her hands on as well)
As Rika gave to the Cupid Heart to her Friend/Boss, Geeta then noticed her movement was slightly hesitant, but said hesitation wasn't outright shown to her but the brief look of worry and her nervous tail flicks means the Green haired Veluza Mermaid has some issue at the moment.
"I take there's something wrong Rika?" She questioned with a sly tone as Rika froze when Rika
"W-well Rika, it's just that, what you said before I went to steal the Cupid Heart… Your tone being what could happen if I fail to steal it?" Rika admitted as she steeled herself for whatever Geeta has to say…
Which to her surprise, Instead emerged a Small smile as the Malamar Cecaelia simply didn't even show a sense of anger both facial and body movement as well.
"Oh Rika, Why would I harm such a dear friend like yourself?" Geeta answered back after a Moment of Silence in a Comforting tone as Sweet as honey and seductive as a Salazzle, "It'll hurt to see you suffer or fail after everything you went through as well…"
"But with how you treated Carmine and Kieran.. I was worried it'll be the same for me if I failed you…"
"I know I treated both Carmine and Kieran very harshly but this is simply to prepare them for the Harsh world out there…" Geeta admitted as she wrapped one of her Tentacles around her friend, "You know what happened when you're exiled by your Tribe all those years ago…"
"I don't want them to end up like what you nearly are with the Sharpedos when we first meet after all…" Geeta admitted as Rika remained hesitant, no doubt her Maternal Side Mermaids then to carry (Due to their More Pokemon-like nature) which no doubt
"But for now Rika, Get some rest, you deserve it…" Said
"Thank you Geeta." Said Rika as she swam into the Part of Geeta's lair that is considered her Room
As soon as Rika's gone, Geeta's smile turned into one of friendly comfort to a malicious power hungry woman as she turned to the screen with the Ancient Text her Dragapult has managed to get as well and then to the Cupid Heart currently in her hands as well.
'One down, Four more and little Juliana to go…." Geeta smirked to herself as she then took a Scroll (that has the Text written down to remember it) and proceed to swim to the Surface as well.

No matter how many times she looked at it, It's certainly odd of the Orge's Mask as even if she's not a Kitakamian, Juliana's still mesmerized to look at the Teal Green Mask that not only appear to be very ancient but also how the Tera Crystal Shard plays into all of this, Inspite of how it was damaged when the Orge has fled form her yesterday.
"(It looks pretty…)" Said Tastu as the Shiny Tastugiri looked back to his Trainer/Sibling as he looked back to her as Quaval, Pala, Marina, Peli and Clod as they too are also surprised by this.
"(Sure is Tastu, I wonder how this Tera Crystal mask was made in the First Place)" Said Peli as the Peliper as he looked back at Pala (Whom the two were friends before Juliana meet and caught them as well) whom just shrug at this (With Peli having learnt what happened the night before Form Pala as well)
"(Ditto on that Peli…)" Said the Palafin as she shrugged to her best friend/Honorary Brother as she looked back to the Rest of her Team/Siblings.
"Well I suppose maybe Carmine's Grandparents know about the Mask," Said Juliana to her Pokemon/Surrogate siblings as she held onto the Mask while being careful with it (Marina was trying to resist touching it as she knew how careful her Mama was with the
"(I suppose you're right Julia…)" Said Peli as he shrugged back to her, No doubt while he never knew Carmine much, Learning form Pala (As well as Quaval and Tatsu) and form what he did seen of her, The Girl has some issues and that's not factoring her little brother either.
Meanwhile, Nemona was talking with Arven and Penny over what happened last night (With Pawmot out of his Pokeball alongside Meowscarda, Skelidrege, Mabostiff and Penny's Veevees, The Former even still wearing the same Mask he gotten form the Festival of Mask the previous night as well)
"So that's what when you guys and Juliana tried to comfort Carmine over what happened with the Orge Ousting Game Last night…" Nemona admitted to Arven and Penny as the Former has just learnt about the events the latter two and Juliana saw last night.
"You guys ran into the Orge but it fled and dropped it's mask as it did." She continued as Arven nodded, The Son of Professor Sada relief Nemona's focusing on the Conversation and not ready to mention her love for Battles right now.
"Yup that's the story indeed." Said Penny as she looked back to Nemona with a firm look on her face. "After that happened, Carmine noticed how similar the Orge's Mask was similar to her Grandfather's Works as well, So she told us to meet us at her Grandfather's Place as well…"
"But for some reason, She doesn't want Kieran to know either…" She continued which Nemona gave a look to her Friend like she just grew a second head like she was a Wiglett whom just evolved into a Wugtrio as well.
"Why's that?" Nemona questioned with a Puzzled look as no doubt Carmine's issues are with her, Not Kieran, so why is she being hesitant to mention seeing the Orge to Kieran.
"We don't know Nemona," Said Juliana as she turned to her friend as she joined in the Conversation. "But if Carmine's Grandfather knows about the Mask, It could be the reason at least."
"Well we shouldn't keep Carmine waiting guys," Said Arven as he looked back to the Three Girls with a firm look on his face. "The Sooner we can find out what's going on with the Ogre's Mask,"
"True about that Arven, Let's go" Said Juliana with a Palafin Click/squeak escaping form her mouth as she looked back to her Friend/Crush as she looked back to Penny and Nemona whom shared a similar look, Moreso Penny however as Nemona was secretly hoping Carmine would be ok with her around given what happened recently of her odd hostile behavior.
"Well Vamos!" Said Nemona as the Four Friends left the Room, Ready to talk to meet with Carmine and talk to her Grandfather over the details of the Orge's Dropped Mask and why it has a Tera Crystal embedded in it.
However, the Four Friends are unaware they're in for a big surprise however as there's more to the Mask they're about to learn very soon as well…

Yeah, I figured I should include some of Rika's Past in this Fic and why she (A Mermaid in this Story) is working for Geeta (A Cecaelia for this story) besides Canon material with Geeta being Rika's Boss as both Chairwoman of the Paldea League and Rika being part of the Paldea Elite 4 as well.
It's due to the fact to contrast Geeta's more toxic side in this story and showcase how she's taking advantage of Rika's Need for Companionship after her exile to her advantage as well.
Yeah, I suppose Rika's Personality here can be controversial given how her Canon Personality is her being charismatic (Basically similar to Cynthia in a way or for Super Sentai Captain Marvelous (Gokai Red) form Gokaiger)
BUT! Rest assured I'm a Fellow Rika Fan as well, But do note this is a different take on her Personality, But I do at least preserve some stuff like her Bond with Poppy as shown in her flashback with her as well.
(Similarly, For Tulip's Personality in the Flashbacks, She's younger back then and her sort of Flirtatious personality (She's still loyal to Dendra however) hasn't developed yet during her and Rika's Childhood as well, Also the Staryu here is her Mermaid Sibling much like Athena (Mizu's Milotic) and Meera (Diantha's Alomomola) are their Pokemon siblings in this story as well.)

And for those Wondering, As a Fan of the Archie Megaman Comics (AKA an example of how to do good Game to Book/Show/Anime/Movie Adaptations in my opinion), Rika and Geeta's Scene after the Latter saved the Former is inspired by when Protoman/Blues was rescued by Dr. Albert Wily there (And the DLN Robot Master being grateful to Wily for saving him, working for him for a while, Until Wily decided to kidnap a Fellow Roboticist's Human Daughter to use as a Hostage when Blues defects form Wily however)
So there's that for them.
That said, Rika's Younger Self Design is inspired this Pixiv Fanart, (It's form a Geeta/Rika Fan BTW, So there's that)

Similarly, The Small Scene at the End back in Kitakami is mostly to show the Paldea Gang at least (Juliana and her team observing the Teal Mask and Nemona learning form Arven and Penny over what happened last night)
