Hello everyone. As you know my friend The Story Shadow is doing a Pokemon series called "A New Moon Rising". He and Nobel Six asked me to make a character that will appear off and on in the story/series, as well as a story on her adventures. So here we are!
I haven't done a solo non-NFLRZ story since 'Cult of Mutation', so I am super excited for this.
Please note that these chapters might get slow to keep up with Story Shadow's story, to keep it in line with eachother.

Pokemon: Rising Embers
The Kanto Arc
The world of Pokemon, full of fantastical creatures powered by elemental abilities. However, there is a occasion that humans can also posses powerful abilities as well. A fine example of such empowered humans would be those with aura and/or psych abilities. Some use them for daily needs, others for Pokemon battles.
...One very well know trainer with the aura gene, one who has ventured and meet legendary Pokemon, one who saved the world many times, IS ASH KETCHUM. In his three years (from his start at ten years) he and his friends (both human and Pokemon) has made feats that sometimes looked impossible to many. He has manage to even cheat DEATH. For one dream is to be the "Pokemon Master", he has accomplished this even before he left Kanto.
Speaking of Kanto there is another that has made a name for herself. Sabrina, the psychic gym leader as the strongest of the psychic users in the world. Many have traveled Saffron City, where Sabrina lives, to hone their psychic ability. Others, prefer self teaching.
..Many years have passed since Ash Ketchum's adventures. Perhaps, it is time to see another group will take up the mantle next. Let us see one of them shall we?

Episode 1: A fated meeting.
Pokemon Camp...
The children ran around laughing as they played with eachother, all but on girl who was looking around. Her copper hair glowed like embers in the sun with her green eyes gazing at the Pokemon.
Girl: I'm going to miss you all when I return to Paldea. It was super duper fun playing with you all.
The Pokemon went over, nuzzling the little girl. It was at that moment an Absol walked over, bowing as the little girl petted him.
Girl: Hello, is everything alright?
The Absol shoke his head as he looked up, the little girl doing the same seeing the sky starting to darken.

PROFESSOR PROFESSOR!
Professor Sycamore was talking to a small group when one of his assistant ran up, the winds picking up fast.
Assistant: Professor! We have a rain storming heading towards us fast!
Professor Sycamore nodded looking over.
Professor Sycamore: *serious* EVERYONE INSIDE QUICK! WE HAVE A STORM COMING!
The children and Pokemon scrambled to the door as the adults lead them. The little girl was about to follow-
H-HELP! HELP ME PLEASE!
She froze as she turned back to the woods. SOME ONE, WAS IN DANGER. Taking a breath she turned and bolted into the woods.
Professor Sycamore: EMBERLYN! WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?

Emberlyn looked around as the rain began to fall hard. She squinted her eyes, till she saw a Abra pinned under a broken tree.
Abra: *panic* P-PLEASE! SOMEONE, ANYONE! I-I DON'T WANT TO DIE PLEAS-
Emberlyn: HOLD ON!
Emberlyn ran over trying to lift the tree up, startling the Abra.
Abra: Y-You heard me? I-I never heard of a human who could understand Pokemon. I-It's normally the other way around.
Emberlyn: Another time we need to get you out of here! *looks at Abra* Can you use you psychic ability to help me?
The Abra looked away in sorrow.
Abra: I-I can't, my-my head hurts when I do it.
Emberlyn: Hurts?
Emberlyn went down looking over the Abra. She placed two fingers on each side of his temples.
Emberlyn: Can you try, I think this might help.
The Abra nodded, taking a breath and beginning to glow. The tree slowly lifted up as Emberlyn help move it to the side with her shoulders.
Abra: *panting* I-I did it.
Emberlyn: *picks him up* I knew you could, I saw a cave not to far we'll hid out there till the storm passes.
Abra nodded as Emberlyn carried him away.
...
Emberlyn: *blows the flames* There we go, glad we had outdoor training at camp. Thank you for helping me.
Emberlyn and the Abra were around the small fire they both had made.
Abra: Y-Your welcome...how-how did you stop the head aches?
Emberlyn: You had two indents on your temples. Do you have a concussion?
Abra: Concussion?
Emberlyn: It's a head injury that can cause headaches, can happen to human and Pokemon.
The Abra leaned on the wall in thought.
Abra: I, was in an accident after I was born. Hit my head on something, I guess it hasn't healed yet.
Emberlyn: But it will heal, you just need to have some rest and not use too much of your psychic ability. Maybe we can find your parents or group and let them know.
He has a sorrowful look on his face that made Emberlyn heart break.
Emberlyn: Oh I'm sorry I didn't know-
Abra: It's okay just, your the first living being to show me kindness since I lost my parents. *small smile* And, it's so cool you can understand the Pokemon language. *thinks* Come to think of it, I can sense some psychic energy from you.
Emberlyn: Y-Yeah. My papa said it was from my mothers ancestors, he said it must of woken up after..the accident.
Abra nodded, knowing this tiny human had lost someone too.
Abra: I am sorry for your lost.
Emberlyn: Same.*Small smile* Will say not what I expect on my last day at camp, but i am happy I made it in time.
Abra: Y-Your not from here?
Emberlyn: *nods* I'm from Paleda. My papa sent me here since he was doing finales for culinary school.
The Abra looked..sad. REALLY SAD. Emberlyn looked on in worry.
Emberlyn: You don't have anyone to go back to do you?
Abra: N-No trainer or-or Pokemon pack. No one wanted me given my injuries.
Emberlyn grabs his paw, giving him a warm smile.
Emberlyn: Then um, if the Professor would allow it, do you-want to come back with me?
The Abra eyes sparked with hope as the rain stopped and the clouds parts, the sun peaking out and hitting the area. Emberlyn's hair and eyes glowed with the dewed setting, sparking in the Abra something he had not felt in ages...HOPE.
Abra: *tears;releif;nods*
EMBERLYN!
...
Both turned to see Professor Sycamore and a young lady running over, releif on their faces.
Professor Sycamore: -sighs- Thank Arceus you scared me to death.
Emberlyn: *worry* S-Sorry professor but this Abra, he was trapped and he's hurt and, I couldn't leave him alone.
Lady: *looks both over*...Ah! You heard him correct?
Emberlyn: *surprise;nods* H-How did you-who are you?
Professor Sycamore: Ah yes, she is one of our guest speakers for the last day. This is Sabrina, a gym leader from the Kanto region and a psychic user herself. *to her* Emberlyn has this ability to by the looks of it.
Sabrina nodded, making both little girl and Pokemon look at her in awe. The psychic gym leader gave her, surprising to the Professor, a tiny warm smile.
Sabrina: I can see even though you two just met you have a strong connection with eachother. I can tell you have something you wish to ask us?
Emberlyn: Well, you see...um, I-I have a request.
Professor Sycamore: A request?
She nodded, looking at the Abra then at the adults.
Emberlyn: This Abra, he has no one. There's this injury that is treatable but no one wants to help him and-Can I take him home please?
Sycamore had to blink in surprise at the request, Emberlyn bringing the Abra in a hug.
Emberlyn: Please Professor?
Sabrina: *closes her eyes* She is right Professor, this Abra will not survive alone in the wild alone. With the mindset that no one has taken him in or even to a Nurse Joy, he is in grave danger. *turns to him fully* Professor, if I may I have a idea that will help with this.
The Professor blinked, nodding and returning to his calm demeanor.
Professor Sycamore: Of course, do tell.
Sabrina went down to the two, her smile returning.
Sabrina: Tell me Emberlyn, what do you want to do when you grow up?
Emberlyn's answer was fast.
Emberlyn: I want to help Pokemon who were left in the dust prove they are strong. I want to help them get back up and help them grow and evolve. I want to make contraptions that can help them get back on the field fast or with their life. I-I want to become a Pokemon Rehaber!
Sabrina smile grew as she nodded.
Sabrina: And, how will you accomplish this goal?
Emberlyn: We're going to challenge the leagues, and I'm going to get every single gym leaders and champion's signature showing their support. And once I get them all, I'm going to open a Pokemon Rehab center!
..Sabrina got up and looked at the Professor.
Sabrina: Professor, may Emberlyn taking this Abra in as a-?
Present day; Vermilion City...
The ship horn wailed as passengers of both Human and Pokemon left. Running off was a ten year old with copper hair and green eyes. She wore a lavender shawl that blew in the wind with her denim knee high skirt, as well as a light blue shirt and matching tennis shoes with these colors. Beside her was an Abra, wearing a light metal head piece with detailed design to it.
Girl: HELLO KANTO! EMBERLYN AND PSYS ARE HERE!
Psys: -laughs- My what excitement, if I heard right the Lieutenant is is out training with his Riachu though.
Emberlyn: *smiles* I know, but this gives us time to plan and train till he returns! And we might meet more friends and new family members as well.
Psys: True. *looks around* So where do we start first?
Emberlyn: Well, we should sign up first. Then see what are the closest cities with gym so we can make it back in time for the Lieutenant -
BONG!
Both turned to see two humans dressed weirdly hit the boat, slowly falling into the water.
Emberlyn and Psys: *very confused*...WHAT THE HEY WAS THAT?

Emberlyn: *watching news* OH! That explains it, this Dakota took them out and sent them to our location.
The two were at a Restaurant, Emberlyn looking at her phone with Psys at the news.
Psys: I can sense quite the power from this boy and his Rockruff. Still, we should be wary of Team Rocket here.
Emberlyn: Oh yeah no doubt about that. If we run into these two we're gonna send them beyond blasting off...though, I do want to meet this Dakota. He sounds, interesting.
Psys smiled as he pulled up the map they bought, setting it in front of them.
Psys: I did some research as you were looking up the news here. *points* Our best bet is to hit Celadon and Saffron City, I do know you wish to meet up with Lady Sabrina again.
Emberlyn smiled grew at the mention of Sabrina.
Emberlyn: We should be able to find help in our journey along with way. *grabs Psys hands;beaming* This is it Psys! This is where our journey begins, as trainer and starter I'm so happy!
Psys smiled with a nod.
Psys: I am very excited to start this journey with you.
Emberlyn tears formed as she hugged HER STARTER, who hugged her back
Sabrina's voice: Professor, may Emberlyn taking this Abra in as a Starter.
Professor Sycamores' voice:...That, sounds like a wonderful idea.
