Spencer ignored his grumbling stomach and raced to the library after the lab, which had run late because he'd had to start the experiment over due to his inattention the first time. He frantically logged onto his emails and breathed a sigh of relief when he read the message from Harry. He'd really done it. He was on his way. All he had to do now was avoid getting caught for the next week, which seemed an impossible task for a nonmagical but Harry had his invisibility cloak, the notice-me-not charms on his tent and the ability to change his appearance a little so if he did get caught and manage to get away out of sight, the next time anyone saw him, he wouldn't look anything like the person they were looking for. Adding all that to the skills Spencer had taught him about looking like you belonged when sneaking into all you can eat buffets and the chances of Harry being able to walk off the cruise ship in New York next week were pretty good. Hopefully he would soon be beyond the reach of anyone who was looking for him.

Dear Harry,
I'm so glad that you made it. I can't tell you how thrilled I am that you've got out of England. Even if you got caught now, they're not going to return you to England, particularly if you take care not to sound British. If you can't pull off a decent American accent, the amount of Spanish, Latin and Italian you've learnt should be enough to make you sound different enough. How did your first night aboard go. Did you finally find a safe place to spend the night? Did you get enough sleep, and to eat? Have you been speaking to other passengers or are you hiding out of the way? Do you like the ship? I researched it as much as I could and it all looks huge and very impressive, but very upmarket and expensive or I suppose you'd call it upperclass, or old money. Does it make you feel uncomfortable? Or is Hogwarts much the same sort of manners?
I checked out the attic space in the house I'm living in, there definitely is enough room for you to put up your tent up there and looking at the level of dust around the place it seems like people have just shoved their extra cases and boxes and stuff near the entrance and not gone much further so with your notice-me-not charm, nobody would notice that some of the area further back was occupied. It's not a good long-term solution as you'd need to get in and out of the attic every day without being noticed and pulling the ladder down makes a noise, though I think oiling it would help with that, and of course you could use magical silencing though it would be suspicious if someone saw you pull it down and didn't hear anything. Still, it's a place to stay until we can find something better and it would be safer than putting your tent up in outside in the open somewhere.
Nothing exciting is happening here, classes are still good though I couldn't concentrate on them yesterday, I was too busy worrying about what would happen if you were caught sneaking onto the ship.
I think that I was concentrating on how awkward it was to have her supervisor sitting there staring at me disapprovingly just for trying to be friendly to worry about the fact that Bri is a girl, and that she is objectively pretty. She didn't talk to me about girly things either, we talked about science and famous scientists and she wasn't at all flirty or giggly, which is what makes me so awkward with girls. I sat with her at lunch again today, she saw me coming and waved me over so she must have wanted to talk to me as much as I wanted to talk to her. I think that her guardian was slightly less disapproving today, though I still wouldn't call her welcoming. Bri is taking four of the same subjects that I took in my first semester here, though she is only taking a regular course load, another concession to her grandfather, but she said that he has promised to reconsider her taking an extra subject or two next year if she doesn't seem overworked or too lost in her studies. I asked what she meant, and why he had so much influence in her studies, but she didn't explain.
Superman was partially based on Leonardo DaVinci's flying machines. Considering the time DaVinci lived in, they were an amazing leap of science. He's better known for his paintings but the man was truly brilliant in the way he saw the world and …
