Chapter 2: Quick Fight

It was a nice and peaceful day in London. The weather was getting colder and colder the last few weeks, so people used the last opportunities they had to go outside.

It was 7:45 AM and people were going on their way to work. Even though it was clear many who got up were already tired of waking up early, they had no choice. A shop owner was preparing the tables outside for his little cafe... When a huge ''BANG'' sound was heard.

The huge vault's door came out of a bank's window and smashed on the concrete of the street. All cars stopped and people were panicked from what just happened... Then a man came out while laughing like a maniac.

A weirdo in a black-blue spandex suit, huge devices on his hands, and a bag full of money came out. He also had a respirator mask and brown hair. The devices on his hands looked like some kind of generators with bright light coming out of them, combined with vibrations.

''HAHAHAHAHA! FEAR ME, LADS! THE GREAT GRAVITIO IS BACK!''

The man directed his left hand to one parked car and waves of energy started to come up and lift the car from the device on his arm... Then he threw it out to all the other cars on the road.

All people started screaming, leaving their cars, and running away. That sure was one successful robbery, combined with a ton of chaos and fear.

''Morning, Lewy!''

Or at least it was supposed to be successful. Gravitio turned around and saw his biggest nightmare... The Phantom of Joy, flying in the air. Being a criminal for 2 months, he already had his share of battles with her.

''You again?!''

''What, surprised? I'm the one who should be! How did you get your suit back?!''

He didn't waste a second to use his weapons to lift another car in the air and throw it at her. Thank goodness, Molly was fast enough to dodge it and use her lightning bolts to catch and land it safely.

''Ugh! Come on, Lewy, don't be like that! That's the 4th time you escaped from prison!''

''STOP CALLING ME THAT! I'M GRAVIIO! THE MANIPULATOR OF GRAVITY, THE KING OF CHAOS!'' Gravitio madly said.

''Pff, more like Gravit-zero...''

''UGHHHHH, YOU LITTLE!''

He used his weapons to catch cars, tables, and cans to throw and hit Molly, but she was floating and dodging them with no problem at all. While doing so, she tried to shoot lightnings at him, but he always managed to use the waves as a force shield. It didn't work now, nor the last times she had to take him down.

''You know, if you put that much effort into finding a real job, you wouldn't have to be a criminal!''

''You want me to stop?! THEN LET ME HAVE MY MONEY, THEN I WOULDN'T HAVE TO STEAL AGAIN!''

''Nuh-uh, can't do that!''

Now that there were no people around them since they all ran away in fear, he had no problem using his waves to lift EVERYTHING around them. Cars, rocks, tables, shop' signs, he used everything around them to throw at Molly.

Again, she shot lightnings to stop and dodge them with no problems. It was like a child's play to fight with that guy, almost unfair to her.

''Come oooooon, bruh! You know how things would go! You'd be acting like the stubborn thief you are, I'd kick your butt again, you'd land in jail, then I guess you'd escape again, and we'd have to repeat... Do you really want that?!''

''NOT THIS TIME! I have something special for you, Phantom! This time, I will show you what my destruction is capable of! Soon, news and headlines would write about me, and England would remember me as the great, mighty, DANGEROUS, FEARLESS GRAVITIO! Everyone shall be in fear, all of Europe would remember me-

''Is it long?''

''Wh-What?'' Gravitio asked confused.

''The speech! ''Boo-hoo, I'm the big bad here, be on your knees''. I don't wanna break it to you, Lewy, but um... You're more like that annoying neighbor who thinks all the street should treat him like a god...''

''UGHHHH, DISRESPECTFUL LITTLE- I'LL TEACH YOU A LESSON!''

Suddenly, he hit the ground with both his hands and an earthquake started. Large and deep cracks occurred the road and he used his devices to lift many big parts of the concrute to lift and hit Molly with.

''HOLY SH-

That move caught her off guard and he finally hit her and sent her to the end of the street. It was his chance to turn back and run away, but Molly managed to recover in just a few seconds.

''Ugh, that was not cool, Lewy! You know what, I enjoy our little fight, but I'm running late for class, so...COME HERE!''

Molly knew he would block her lightnings, so she knew a fistfight would do the trick. He jumped at him and before he could try to use the waves against her, she was already behind him and hit his back in full force.

Huge pain struck him and a scream was heard. That was the perfect moment for Molly. She grabbed him, then flew him to the air, and hit him in the stomach back to the ground.

He was in agonizing pain and couldn't move anymore... His plan failed. Molly flew back down and took his weapons off his hands. Then took his mask out, revealing his already bloody nose and an open mouth with a few missing teeth.

''Well, at least that's an upgrade, I'd give you that. But take my advice, consider changing careers. Youreally don't wanna end up in worse condition...''

Police cars arrived and the officers arrested him. In reality, Gravitio was a Polish physic and immigrant, thinking he would become a master criminal. But so far, Molly had no problems taking him down.

''Ugh, THIS IS NOT OVER!'' Lewy said, while officers were dragging him.

''Yeah, yeah, I already know that. But a warning, next time I'd be way harder!''

''OH YEAH?! I'D BREAK YOU! I'LL SHOW THE WORLD HOW PATHETIC AND WEAK THEIR HERO CAN B-

''Whoops, gotta go! Say hi to the guards from me, byeeeeeeeee!''

After saying that, Molly flew into the sky, leaving Lewy being dragged by the police. That only made him even more rageful...

''ENJOY LIFE WHILE IT LASTS, PHANTOM! YOU'LL PAY FOR DISRESPECTING ME! YOU'LL PAY!''

Jacob and Mia were in the hallway of their school and were waiting for Molly to arrive. Unfortunately, the other members of the gang were in different high school, but even three of them were enough.

''Come on, where is she?!'' Jacob asked, annoyed.

''Ugh, we're starting in 5 minutes, she'd have to be here soon!'' Mia said.

''Who you talking about?'' Molly appeared behind them, causing the two of them to jump by surprise.

''Milly! Wh-What- how?!'' Jacob asked, shocked.

''What, I texted you a minute ago that I'm here!'' Molly lied.

''I... I don't think you did-

''Come on, we'd be late!'' Molly said, as she grabbed both Jacob's and Mia's hands and started to drag them to class.

They had no idea how it was possible for someone to arrive that fast. How was it possible for Molly to appear out of nowhere when a second ago she wasn't anywhere to be seen? They didn't know she was the Phantom of Joy...

At least they weren't late for math. The teacher gave an annoying huff at how, as always, Molly and her friends arrived at the last minute.

''Saved by a few seconds! I swear, seeing you on time is like a miracle...'' A girl whispered to Molly from her desk.

''Oh, don't get cheeky, Ava! You live a street across the school, you have no right to talk!'' Molly quietly laughed.

Ava was the only girl from Molly's class she had no problem talking with. High school really felt different since all of the others felt... More like Andrea on the first day Molly met her. Except for Ava, she was the only girl who was always joyful and smiling like Molly.

Combining school and hero duties was already very hard in the first few months after the school break. In fact, high school felt more draining than stopping crime all over the world or fighting lunatics like Lewy... But somehow Molly was keeping her life up.
