Today, Ariel was helping Bruce and Brandy with the restaurant since it was the lunch rush, but it didn't help that all of the kids kept coming around to play while they accidentally knocked over people's food and drinks as they ran around, hence why Ariel had chosen to help her second oldest Uncle and Aunt. "Thanks again for the help, Ariel." Brandy said as she carefully handed a tray to one of the other employees, she then went back to making someone else's order. "No problem, but I think Cove got stuck in another ketchup bottle." Ariel replied as she gestured to her cousin, Cove had rolled the bottle over to her and Brandy since he needed help to get out of the bottle again. "Not again." Brandy said with a shake of her head, Cove apologized before Brandy got him out. "Any chance you can stop playing with the ketchup bottles?" Ariel asked with a fond smile, she loved her cousins, but they really needed to learn to stop playing with certain things. "I can't promise that." Cove responded with a laugh, he ran off to join his brothers and sister. "Kids." Brandy and Ariel said at the same time, both laughed as Bruce came back over. "The lunch rush is almost over." Bruce told them, Brandy couldn't wait for things to slow down just a little. "Daddy, can I please have a cookie?" Windy asked sweetly, Bruce could't turn him down, so he gave his son a cookie.
"Did the kids eat lunch?" Ariel asked Bruce, she knew that her cousins shouldn't eat sweets on an empty stomach since it was bad for them. "I think they did." Bruce replied as he and Brandy shared a glance, only to realize that their kids hadn't eaten lunch yet. "I'd better get started on making them some food." Brandy said to Bruce and Ariel, both gave her a hand with making lunch for all thirteen kids when they heard a 'CRASH', the trio looked to see that the kids had knocked over a whole bunch of food. "Uh-oh." The kids said nervously, the vacaytioners were very relaxed and handled the whole situation calmly since they knew that the kids hadn't meant any harm. "I think you guys need to do something about your energy." Ariel told her cousins, she was helping them to clean up their mess. "What can we do?" LaBreezy asked once the mess was finally cleaned up. "I've got an idea." Ariel said with a playful smirk, she went over to Bruce and Brandy as they continued to make lunch for their kids then whispered her plan to them. "Go for it." Bruce replied happily, he and Brandy needed a way to keep their kids busy, and Ariel had just told them about a way to do so. "Be ready to follow along to the music." Ariel said as she turned on some music that no one on the island had ever heard before, but it was catchy.
[Play Kick it into Gear by Jennifer Paige]
[Ariel]
Sometimes you just got to kick into gear.
(Music)
When your grip keeps slippin' and your clutch is gone
(Music)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh you're tired spinning your wheels on
Your brains front lawn.
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh well keep your asphalt
Under sunny side up
A gas credit card and a giant coffee cup
The rest of your life is gonna find you here
Get up on the highway and kick it into gear.
Kick it into gear, kick it into gear
That's the only way you're gonna get on out of here
Kick it into gear, kick it into gear
Sometimes you just got to kick it into gear.
(Music)
Had some money for a turbo drive
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh well it ain't the destination
It's the ride, ride, ride ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Put the heavy to the metal and grab onto the road.
I hear your motor runnin', it's about to explode
Still be waitin' this time next year
Head on down the highway and kick it into gear.
Kick it into gear, kick it into gear
That's the only way you're gonna get on out of here
Kick it into gear, kick it into gear
Sometimes you just got to kick it into gear.
(Music)
Woo!
(Music)
Oh, yeah!
(Music)
Kick it into gear, kick it into gear
That's the only way you're gonna get on out of here
Kick it into gear, kick it into gear
So if you want to yeah.
Kick it into gear, kick it into gear
That's the only way you're gonna get on out of here
Kick it into gear, kick it into gear
(Music)
Sometimes you just got to kick it into gear.
(Bell rings)
"Order up!" Bruce called out to his kids, since Ariel had worn out her cousins with dancing, they were tired from the fun which is why the kids decided to calmly walk to the counter then get their lunches before going to their usual table to sit and eat. "I've never seen the kids so calm before." Brandy said with a surprised voice, she and Bruce were so use to seeing their kids being loud and rowdy, always running then crashing into something or someone. "I guess we've learned a new trick to help calm down the kids." Bruce added with an impressed look, the two looked at their niece, who was now eating her own lunch since she was hungry from the dancing she'd done. "I've helped with a neighbor with her kids in the same way." Ariel responded to the unasked question, after that Bruce and Brandy didn't ask any more questions as they began to eat with their own lunches alongside the kids. "We should start getting ready for the dinner rush." Brandy told Bruce, once everyone was done eating, Ariel helped clean up while her cousins went to go relax since they needed a break.
Ariel then helped her Aunt and Uncle get things ready for the dinner rush, so this way, they wouldn't have too much to do while Bruce and Brandy told Ariel how they'd met. "How romantic." Ariel said with a soft sigh, she wasn't into romance stories too much, but the way Bruce and Brandy had met, made her say those words. "Any boyfriends from your world?" Brandy asked Ariel slyly, the young girl blushed as she tried to deny any crushes that she'd actually used to have all while Bruce laughed at Ariel's expression. "Alright, I'll stop teasing you." Brandy surrendered, after the teasing had finally stopped, the three got back to work as they began to playfully banter. "Today was fun." Ariel thought with a smile, she laughed as Bruce ended up cover in flour thanks to Brandy knocking some onto him before she joined in on the flour war which was fun for the three of them.
