(The Terror of White Rabbit)
*January 16th, 1907*
*Munchkin Country*
Betsy, Flynn, Keiko, and Boq stood before Garnet, ready to hear what he had to say.
"Greetings, My name is Garnet. I'm the guardian of this gate. State your names and reasoning for why I should allow you to pass." Garnet greeted the crew with a serious look on his face, his eyes glaring down at everyone.
Soon after, Boq quickly stepped up to introduce himself as he cleared his throat to speak.
"My name is Boq. I'm the Mayor of Sapphire City. I'm only here to escort them to their destination and I have no desire for the sword." Boq greeted Garnet in a formal voice and soon after, he stepped away, motioning his hand for the others to introduce themselves.
The first person was Betsy and she began to introduce herself.
"Good Evening, My name is Betsy Bobbin. I'm a friend of Dorothy and I only want the Sword to ensure its protection. Long story short, there's a group of people after it and they intend to use it for bad purposes." Betsy greeted Garnet in a polite voice while bowing to the tall man.
This was followed by Flynn and Keiko kneeling down in respect, confirming their friend's word.
"My name is Flynn and my reasoning is the same as Betsy. My twin sister, Zorya, intends to turn everything into darkness and we need to ensure that the sword is in our possession." Flynn greeted Garnet in a formal voice, explaining everything to Garnet with hopes of the man listening to them.
Finally, Keiko was the final person to introduce herself to Garnet.
"And my name is Keiko. I'm with these guys and my reasons are the same." Keiko introduced herself to Garnet in a formal voice as she continued to kneel with respect.
After the greetings, Garnet thought about everything for a moment before finally stepping aside, surprising the gang.
"Y-You're letting us enter, that easily? There has to be some kind of test awaiting us.." Flynn spoke to Garnet in a surprised voice while his expression matched his voice.
Garnet looked down with the same serious look as he began to answer the boy's question.
"I sense good in all of you. I had to make sure before confirming my feelings and I feel it in my heart that you and your friends are pure of heart.." Garnet responded before letting out a smirk as he snapped his fingers, causing the doors to open.
The large sound of the steel doors slowly opened, revealing a single long pathway that led to the sword.
"I wish you people the best of luck. I don't usually allow anyone past this point; however, since you're also friends with Dorothy, the girl who liberated my people from the Wicked Witch of the East, I'll also add that fact into my reasoning on opening the doors." Garnet spoke to Flynn and the others once more while also explaining more of his reasoning.
Those words made Flynn and the others smile warmly as they thanked Garnet graciously.
"Thank you and we won't allow anyone to get the sword. We'll fight if we have to." Flynn responded to Garnet in a motivated voice with a smile before turning around to enter the pathway.
Soon after, Betsy looked back at Boq and she smiled warmly at him.
"Thank you for showing us the way. We'll never forget your kindness, Boq." Betsy thanked Boq as she waved him goodbye before finally entering the pathway with Keiko.
"You're welcome, my child. I wish you and your friends the best of luck!" Boq responded with a smile as he waved goodbye to Betsy and her friends.
The steel doors soon closed, generating a loud noise as the area was quiet once more.
"Sir, what happens if the enemy that the boy described gains the sword.." Boq asked Garnet in a curious voice as he waited for an answer.
Eventually, Garnet looked down at him with a serious expression as he began to answer.
"If all swords are collected, they'll fuse and turn into the Sword of Oz, the most powerful sword in all of Oz. The owner will be able to use its mighty power to conquer the Land of Oz.." Garnet explained to Boq while this shocked the mayor, his eyes widened.
"I-I see. The only issue is that Flynn's sister intends to turn the world into darkness, perhaps she intends to cover the world in…" Boq responded in a shocked yet nervous voice while Garnet nodded in confirmation.
"Yes, If my calculations are correct, she intends to use the negative and dark power of the sword to fully throw the entire world, including Dorothy's world into absolute nothingness.." Garnet responded in a serious voice, slowly realizing the true extent of Zorya's plan.
*Pathway*
Betsy, Flynn, and Keiko walked across the pathway to retrieve the Sword of Munchkin.
"Flynn, what caused Zorya to become this way? I can't seem to understand why and what should be a strong sibling bond being torn apart.." Betsy asked Flynn in a curious yet sad voice while she waited for an answer.
There was silence for a few seconds with the only sounds being the footsteps of the gang walking until Flynn finally spoke up.
"Well…" Flynn responded as he attempted to tell his story; however, before he could tell anything, a loud noise erupted.
The noise made everyone jump in surprise as the rubble came crashing down on the floor.
Small bits of smoke consumed the small area until it was cleared by someone, The White Rabbit.
"Salutations, please excuse my entrance, I'm terribly late but allow me to introduce myself, I'm White Rabbit." White Rabbit introduced himself in a polite voice while he tipped his hat, confusing everyone.
Of course, Betsy, Flynn, and Keiko looked at him with confused expressions, their minds wondering how he even got here in the first place.
Afterwards, Keiko slowly approached him with the intent witn helping him.
"Are you lost? We need to get you out of here, it's not safe.." Keiko spoke to White Rabbit in a stern yet concerned voice as she slowly approached him, reaching her hand out.
"Yes, I'm terribly lost but now…" White Rabbit responded with those simple words as he let out a slasher smile, alerting Betsy and Flynn.
This act immediately made the pair be on their guard, ready to attack as Flynn called out to Keiko.
"W-Wait?! Don't touch…" Flynn attempted to warn Keiko in a loud voice; however, it was too late. Keiko's hand touched White Rabbit's hand and with a snap of a finger, she disappeared, shocking everyone.
"KEIKO!" Betsy and Flynn cried out in shock as the pair stood in horror at the new ability that they had seen.
Before the pair had any time to react, White Rabbit laughed crazily as he clapped his hands.
"Fools! I'm your next opponent! I shall turn you all into small little ants and crush you once you're weakened!" White Rabbit cried out to Betsy and Flynn in a booming voice as he laughed loudly.
Immediately after this, the entire pathway floor collapsed and sent Flynn and Betsy falling down a rabbit hole, their screams could be heard.
*Rabbit Hole*
"You bastard! We'll find you! And we'll get back Keiko, you hear me, you jackass rabbit!" Betsy cried out to White Rabbit in righteous anger while she and Flynn continued to fall further down the hole.
The White Rabbit's laughter could be heard echoing throughout the rabbit hole, his laugh being quite annoying and egotistical.
"You don't want to be late, enemies of Alice! You have one hour to save Keiko or she'll be a doll forever!" White Rabbit warned Betsy and Flynn in a booming voice as he continued to laugh.
During this Flynn pulled out his sword and he quickly stuck it into one of the walls, leaving him to hand while he quickly grabbed Betsy's hand with the other.
"T-Thank you, Flynn." Betsy thanked Flynn while she took this moment to catch her breath, and during this, she heard Blaze's voice.
"So, it seems Alice had called on The White Rabbit. I knew she was obsessed with that story but I never knew she would take it this far." Blaze spoke to Betsy from her shoes while she nodded in agreement.
"So that's the girl who's working with Zorya.." Betsy responded to Blaze in a serious voice while she looked up at Flynn to see if he was okay, and he was.
After a few seconds, Flynn and Betsy carefully landed on the ground and they looked around at their new settings.
The area had a warm ambiance to it, the source of light coming from the light bulb above and there were shelves of silverware and random spices.
"Keiko out of all people falling into a trap, it's not like her. She's always focused." Flynn uttered in disappointment as he paced around.
"Mistakes happen, I guess she was focused on getting him out since she was under the impression that he was lost and she fell right into his trap.." Betsy responded in hopes of cheering Flynn up while she continued to look around her surroundings.
Of course, Flynn nodded as he tried to make sense of everything. "I guess so but I know Keiko won't be happy with herself, but anywho, let's get a move on. I believe I see an exit.." Flynn responded while pointing at a single pathway that led to an exit.
Betsy nodded as she and Flynn quickly entered the corridor and almost immediately, the area turned into a beautiful hallway.
The hallway was pink and had plenty of rooms, surprising Betsy and Flynn.
"T-The rooms changed. What the hell is going on…" Flynn uttered in surprise while Betsy was familiar with everything.
"This is all inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It's a story that's popular in me and Dorothy's world. It's clear that Alice is creating characters from the novel to defeat us.." Betsy responded to Flynn in a serious voice while the news made him intrigued.
"I-I see but could this mean that Alice isn't from here but somewhere in you and Dorothy's world, but anywho, let's save Keiko!" Flynn responded with a mixture of motivation and curiosity while Betsy nodded.
"Right!" Betsy responded with a motivated look on her face, ready to save Keiko.
Betsy and Flynn now venture deep into White Rabbit's domain.
