Chapter 3 Aphmau
As Zenix was leading me somewhere, I took a look through the village of Phoenix Drop, which was in really bad shape.
"We're here", Zenix said as he stopped in front of a house.
He then knocked on its front door, and a woman opened it.
"Greetings, Ms Sylvanna", he greeted.
"Hello Zenix", Sylvanna greeted. "What brings you here?"
"A friend of Sir Garroth found this woman in the forest", Zenix revealed. "She needs a place to stay, so I suggested that she stay with you. Would that be okay?"
After Zenix asked the lady (who was named Sylvanna) if I could stay with her, she turned to look at me. When she did, she looked very surprised.
"Ms Sylvanna, are you okay", Zenix asked. "Wait a minute? Do you perhaps know who this woman is?"
"I…", Sylvanna started, unsure what to say. "No. I don't know her."
"I see", Zenix said. "In any case, would it be okay is she stayed with you for the time being?"
After being asked this, Sylvanna thought about it for a moment, before giving her answer.
"She is more than welcome to stay with me", she replied.
"Thank you very much, Ms Sylvanna", Zenix said, before turning towards the woman. "Ms Sylvanna will be taking care of you from this moment on, but you are also more than welcome to come to me if you need anything. Anyway, I must get going now. Good day you two."
With this, Zenix left.
"Please come in", Sylvanna said.
Then, the woman walked into her house.
"Tell me, dear", Sylvanna started. "What is your name?"
"I…don't have one", the woman replied.
"You don't have a name", Sylvanna asked in confusion.
"I…don't remember if I do", the woman replied.
"I see", Sylvanna said.
Then, she looked the woman over.
"You're a bit dirty, dear", she said. "Come with me. Let's give you a bath."
I liked having a bath. It was super fun.
While Sylvanna bathed her, the woman splashed around in the tub.
"Oh my", Sylvanna said in amusement. "You look like an adult, but act somewhat like a child."
After saying this, Sylvanna had an idea.
"Dear", she started. "Since you don't have a name, would it be okay if I gave you one?"
"A name", the woman asked.
"Yes", Sylvanna replied. "How do you feel about the name…Aphmau?"
After hearing this name, the woman thought about it for a moment, before smiling and nodding.
Aphmau. That is my name. I really like it.
Anyway. After Sylvanna was done bathing me, she gave me a new outfit and boots to wear. Then, she brushed my hair, and even put a bow in it.
Once she was done getting dressed, Aphmau did a twirl in her new outfit.
"You look so pretty, dear", Sylvanna stated. "Anyway, I need to head over to the library to return a book. Would you like to go with me?"
I decided to go with Sylvanna. As we were walking through the village, Aaron and Garroth walked up to us.
"There you are, ma'am", Garroth said as he stopped Aphmau and Sylvanna. "I see Ms Sylvanna has cleaned you up."
"Aphmau", she said suddenly.
"Huh", Aaron said in confusion.
"My name is Aphmau", said person revealed. "Sylvanna gave it to me."
"Aphmau", Garroth repeated. "That's a lovely name."
"I think so too", Aphmau said with a smile, which made Garroth's heart flutter.
"Anyway", he started, quickly changing the subject. "Aaron and I must get going. I am showing him around the village so he can take note of everything that needs to be fixed."
"Behave for Ms Sylvanna", Aaron instructed. "Aphmau."
Aaron and Garroth left after this, and I followed Sylvanna to the library. When we got there, I found a blonde woman with big glasses.
"Hello, Emmalyn", Sylvanna greeted the woman. "I'm here to return the romance novel I borrowed."
"Hello, Ms Sylvanna", Emmalyn greeted.
Then, she noticed Aphmau.
"Who's this", she asked.
"I'm Aphmau", said person greeted happily.
"A friend of Garroth's found her in the forest, and Zenix asked if she could stay with me for the time being."
"I see", Emmalyn said, before turning to look at Aphmau. "Well then, you're more than welcome to look though the books, Aphmau."
After saying this, Emmalyn turned to look back at Sylvanna.
"So, Ms Sylvanna", she started. "What did you think of the book?"
"It was great", Sylvanna replied. "The male lead sounds like a total hunk!"
While Sylvanna and Emmalyn discussed a romance book, I looked around the library.
After looking for a bit, a book laying on a desk caught my attention. I picked it up, and read its title.
"The History of Lady Irene."
For some reason, this name seemed familiar. I was about to open the book, when Emmalyn came up to me.
"I'm sorry, but that book is not available to check out", she said. "It's for my personal studies."
After saying this, Emmalyn took the book from me. I then looked down at her desk, and saw something else that caught my eye.
"What's that", Aphmau asked as she pointed to the desk.
"That's my dairy", Emmalyn replied.
"Diary", Aphmau repeated.
"Yeah", Emmalyn replied. "I use it to record what I've learned about Lady Irene."
"Diary", Aphmau repeated again. "Recording what you've done."
For some reason, I felt like I'd done this before.
"I'd…like a dairy", Aphmau said suddenly.
"You want a dairy", Emmalyn asked. "While, I have a ton of spare notebooks, I guess I can give you one. Wait right there."
After saying this, Emmalyn quickly went and got something for Aphmau.
"Will this do", she asked.
I looked at what Emmalyn was holding out to me, and smiled at the notebook with a lilac colored cover.
"This will do perfectly."
And that is how I got this dairy, which I will use to write down what happens to me in my new life.
