Saber and Assassin struggled against each other, their weapons locked together as they tried to overpower one another. So far, Saber was the one struggling the most. Assassin was much larger and stronger than her, which gave him an overwhelming advantage. Eventually, Saber's arms gave out, allowing Assassin's claws to slash her across the cheek. Saber then swung her sword, releasing a blast of air that sent Assassin flying backward.
Saber took the opportunity to deliver a jumping slash while Assassin was in midair, but he managed to grab and slam her into the ground. As Assassin went to punch Saber while she was pinned, Saber managed to deflect his hand with her sword and kick him in the face, breaking his nose and forcing him off of her. Assassin bent over to try and fix his nose. Saber took the opportunity to try and decapitate him.
Saber: "It's over!"
Saber swung her sword at his face and ended up lodging it in his head. As Saber tried to pull it out, she found the sword wouldn't move. That's when she found out that the sword wasn't lodged anywhere. Rather, Assassin had caught the sword in his teeth.
Saber: "Wha-?"
Assassin: "Don't underestimate me, Saber!"
He then grabbed Saber by the throat and charged forward, slamming her into multiple trees before throwing her to the ground.
Assassin: "Had enough?"
Saber: "Not even close!"
She dashed forward and ducked as Assassin was about to slash off her head. Saber then impaled him through the foot and knocked him over. Then, with her sword still skewered through his foot, she swung him around before sending him crashing through several trees. Saber then charged forward, not wanting to give him a chance to recover. She was ready to impale him through the heart and end this fight once and for all! However…
Assassin: "Urban Legend!"
A flash of light came from Assassin's eyes, causing Saber to forget Assassin's existence for a brief moment, making her stall just long enough for him to deliver a powerful punch to her gut, causing her to rocket backward with such force that the shockwave created when she landed flattened an entire portion of the forest. Saber struggled to get up, coughing up blood as she did so. She had only been fighting for a few minutes and she was exhausted. Her wrists were sore from swinging her sword so much, she had cuts all over her body, and three of her ribs were broken.
Saber: "This isn't working. I can't go on like this for much longer! I need to learn more about him so I can exploit some weakness, but first…what is with that noble phantasm Assassin?"
Assassin: "Surprised Saber? I can use Urban Legend to flinch my opponents out of their attacks, leaving an opening for me to strike! You didn't know I could use it like that, did you!"
Saber: "I don't understand! You are more than capable of overwhelming most servants with your brute strength alone, yet you use such dirty tactics to gain the upper hand? Absurd!"
Assassin: "What can I say? I may be strong, but I'm still an Assassin by the end of the day!"
Saber: "Once more thing. Despite knowing the name of your noble phantasm, I'm still unable to figure out your true name."
Assassin: "Really? It should be obvious. Think about it, why don't you?"
Saber thought about it for a minute. Assassin's noble phantasm made it so that the target would completely ignore his existence. That could only mean one thing.
Saber: "If you can make others ignore your existence, that could only mean that you don't exist yourself!"
Assassin: "That is right. I do not exist. I am merely the culmination of rumors and legends combined into a single being. Though some people believe I exist, the majority think of me as a hoax. Hell, my name is even considered a joke! The fact that I'm even summonable as a servant is a miracle in itself since I don't even have any heroic deeds associated with my name."
Saber: "A large monster covered in fur who lives in the woods and doesn't exist? There are several creatures matching your description, but in the end, most of them fall under one name."
Assassin: "Exactly! Many indigenous cultures all over the world have tales of mysterious hair-covered creatures living in forests. In Japan, I'm known as the Hibagon, in Australia, I'm called the Yowie. I have claimed many other names since then, like the Alma, the Yeren, and the Yeti in Asia, and the 'Skunk Ape' in the southeastern United States. However, there is one name that I have become most synonymous with: Bigfoot."
Saber: "...may I say something?"
Bigfoot: "Go ahead."
Saber: "I don't mean to be rude, but you were much more intimidating until you revealed your true name. The name "Bigfoot" doesn't really inspire fear in your opponents."
Bigfoot: "I did say my name was considered something of a joke, didn't I?"
Saber: "That is true, but now that I know your true name, I can exploit you for weaknesses."
Bigfoot: "Weaknesses eh? Foolish girl. You will find that I'm much stronger than you think."
Saber: "Wha-?"
Bigfoot: "Noble Phantasm…"
How could she be so stupid? Saber had forgotten that some heroic spirits have two noble phantasms! A grey, sludge-like clay began to leak from Bigfoot's fur. It trailed down his arms and legs and eventually began to take shape. Now Bigfoot's arms and legs were covered in white, spiky armor.
Bigfoot: "Plaster of Paris!"
Saber didn't wait around. She was already exhausted. She needed to end the fight quickly before he could use this noble phantasm. However, when she tried to attack him, he simply put up one arm to shield himself and the sword merely bounced off.
Saber: "Wha-? My sword…it has no effect!"
Bigfoot: "That is right. This is my second noble phantasm: Plaster of Paris. This noble phantasm allows me to absorb mana from the earth itself and convert it into a special clay that I
Can manipulate at will."
Saber: "Impossible! There are no records of Bigfoot having such an ability!"
Bigfoot: "That's because I'm not JUST Bigfoot. Rather, I am a culmination of legends involving 'wild men in the woods' or 'woodwose' as they were referred to in medieval Europe."
Saber: "Woodwose? I remember hearing that term on Sir Gawain's report after his battle with the Green Knight. Wait a minute! You say you are a culmination of multiple legends fused into one? Doesn't that make you an alter ego as well as an assassin?"
Bigfoot: "Indeed. Technically I'm dual-classed. I'm both an assassin and an alter ego. As for which part of my spirit origin this noble phantasm comes from, that would be Enkidu, who was considered the earliest example of a wild man."
Saber was shocked. The fact that Enkidu was fused with Bigfoot meant that this assassin was as strong as Gilgamesh. What else was he fused with? Many figures throughout history were considered wild men, including a few divine spirits. Bigfoot was far more powerful than she could have possibly imagined!
Bigfoot: "You have chosen the wrong servant to fight as your first opponent in this Holy Grail war. Now then, I think it's time you died!"
Before Saber could react, Bigfoot rushed towards her, landing a powerful punch to her chest. He then proceeded to land multiple punches on Saber's chest, shattering her armor and pulverizing her ribcage.
Saber: "I see…he was holding back…"
Saber went flying backward through the air. However, Bigfoot was not done. Using his speed, he appeared above Saber and kicked her towards the ground. Bigfoot landed at his original position and stuck his claws into the ground.
Bigfoot: "Clay guillotine!"
He then swung his claws upwards, sending five clay blades ripping through the ground. Saber barely managed to deflect them, shattering them with her sword.
Bigfoot: "Gotcha!"
Suddenly, four large walls sprouted from the ground and closed around Saber. The tallest of the walls bent downwards forming a roof and trapping Saber inside.
Bigfoot: "White coffin!"
Saber was completely trapped. She could use her sword to break free of this space since it was too small for her to move in.
Bigfoot: "Now, it's time to finish this!"
His claws elongated into several large spikes in his hands and threw them. They pierced through the box, impaling it all the way through. The tips appearing on the other side had turned red with blood. Signifying that she had gotten Saber. Bigfoot smirked at his confirmed kill.
Bigfoot: Hahahaha! It's over! I won! I might as well kill her master next. He might leak any information on my whereabouts."
Bigfoot heard something behind him. He looked behind him and saw a crack had formed on the box. Before he could say anything, the box burst open! Standing there was Saber, with several spikes impaling her body.
Bigfoot: "Impossible! How are you still alive?"
Saber proceeded to pull the spikes out of herself, leaving several large holes covering her body. Bigfoot then watched in horror as the holes sealed themselves up and her previous wounds miraculously healed. Saber was now completely fine like she was never damaged in the first place.
Bigfoot: "Regeneration? What the hell are you?"
Bigfoot turned his arm gauntlets into a pair of arm blades and rushed at Saber. He delivered several strikes, but she deflected each one. Eventually, Saber shattered both blades and delivered a powerful kick to his stomach, sending him flying backward. Bigfoot didn't relent however, and he ripped a tree out of the ground and swung it like a baseball bat, only for Saber to block it, slice it down the middle, and slash Bigfoot across the chest. Bigfoot kneeled down holding his wound.
Bigfoot: "Where? Where is this extra strength coming from?"
Saber: "Bigfoot, did you really think you were the only one holding back?"
Saber raised her sword.
Saber: "O, wind!"
The wind started to build around her sword. Seeing as she was charging up something, Bigfoot formed a large, clay shield to defend himself.
Saber: "Strike air!"
A large blast of wind came from the tip of her sword. The clay shield shattered and the large vortex surrounded Bigfoot, slicing into the skin beneath his fur. As he was sent flying, he caught a glimpse of a golden sword beneath the invisible air.
Bigfoot: "So that's who you are. I see. I never stood a chance."
He crashed into the forest floor, flattening entire trees and obliterating the surrounding area with an explosion of wind. Once the dust cleared. Saber sheathed her sword and stood there, examining the result of her attack.
Saber: "Finally...it is done."
