Kiwi sighed, seeing through the feed that Harmony just got freed by Lucky. "Hah! Even the marines themselves recognize her as a hero!" Anubis laughed. Kiwi was relieved seeing her broken out, and fell to his knees. "Woah kid, let's get you home," Anubis said, picking up the kid. As they headed out the fight was displayed on the screens in the town, and the crowd was cheering for Harmony. "Are they out here?" Anubis asked, looking for Kiwi's parents. "No, they have a small screen inside," he stated, and they started heading for his house. Looking up, Anubis spots smoke. "Wait... That's my home!" Kiwi cried. A lady wearing the admiral outfit with long black hair stood before the burning building, a mink and a human behind her. "That's Karen, the strongest admiral..." Anubis scoffed.
"Why are you doing this!?" Plum cried as Henry frowned, giving Karen a thumbs down. She turned towards them, and with a wave of her hand, Henry was flung into a wall. "DAD!" Kiwi screamed, turning her attention to him. "There you are... The rubber boy." Henry limp-ran over, throwing a punch for the woman's face, but she grabbed his head and snapped his neck in one swift move. Plum and Kiwi froze in place as Anubis rushed in, attacking the admiral. But without making a single noise, the woman vanished and chopped his neck, knocking the jackal out cold. Plum ran past the admiral who just followed the mink with her eyes, and she picked Kiwi up and bolted as fast as she could.
There was no sound until Plum screamed as a bullet flew through her leg. She tumbled, dropping Kiwi who rolled forward. She looked back to see Karen holding a flintlock she already had reloaded. "Kiwi! Run!" Plum cried out in desperation, and he stumbled up. As he ran, he closed his eyes in anticipation to the gunshot, but no sound came. He turned back, and just as he did Karen fired the gun at his mother's head. There was still no sound. He froze his gaze on his mother, and was unable to move. Karen started walking towards him, pulling out a knife. He clutched his fist, and steam had started emitting from his skin. She stopped, and quickly reacted to his stretchy jab that shot past her. He put everything he had into a flurry, but even with his powered up state he couldn't touch her. 'Damnit! After everything I still can't use this dumb fruit!?' he thought as Karen stepped right up to the kid, and swung the blade down.
A blue blur of feathers suddenly wrapped itself around the boy, and the knife clashed against iron-clad haki. "Kid!" Petrian exclaimed as Kiwi's skin returned to its natural shade. "Petrian, relieve that boy of his life," Karen demanded, but he stood, holding his wing between them. "Go to hell," he said, glaring at her. Karen scoffed, "He is my target. We are on the same side here." Petrian looked down, but then turned back to Kiwi. "Know what? No we are not," he stated, throwing the navy cap off of his head. "I quit this stupid navy," he said, rushing towards her. "You believe those words? That Harmony is a fool," Karen stated as she backhanded him into a crater in the ground, overpowering his haki with her own. Kiwi went to bite his thumb, but Karen blitzed up, grabbing his wrist. 'Damn it! Dumb fruit! I wish I never ate it!!' he thought as he desperately tried to strike at her.
A stream of light zipped past Karen and right for Kiwi, but instead of physically grabbing him, it passed through him, and once it was through, a massive jolt of electricity shot through his fist and blasted Karen through several walls. He blinked as he looked at his arms. He then turned, gasping as he saw Harmony; completely out of breath and sweating heavily. "Harmony!? Where did you come from!?" Petrian asked, rubbing his head as he stood. "Huh? Where did you get that..?" he asked, pointing to her hands where a purple fruit with swirls sat. "Uh... well, I was grabbing Kiwi to try and help, but I uh, grabbed this instead," she said between breaths. "Harmony that's the Gum Gum! You pulled it out of me!? You can do that?" he asked, but she looked just as confused as to how there was a Devil Fruit in her hands. "The Gum Gum!?" Karen cried out, rushing towards Harmony before Petrian grabbed it from her hands and flew off. "You want it! Come and get it!" he cried, and Karen growled as she jumped at him. Harmony took a deep breath as she grabbed Kiwi, and shot straight up into the air with him as light.
Skypiea floated on its regular path around the Grand Line, and once up there, Harmony and Kiwi tumbled into the grass. She quickly got up and ran over to pick Kiwi up and hug him tightly. "Are you ok!? Did you get hurt!?" she cried out, fighting back tears as she was hyperventilating. "H-Harmony!" Kiwi exclaimed, trying to calm her down. "I c-couldn't get there fast enough," she stuttered as the tears started pouring. "I should've jumped in to save her! Why didn't I just save her!" she cried out, slamming her fists into the ground, visibly cracking it. "HARMONY!" Kiwi zapped the captain, and she froze in shock. Tears were falling off his face like a waterfall, "Y-you did everything you could..." he stuttered. She gasped, and pulled him back into a hug, but a more tender one. "I'm sorry Kiwi... I just couldn't save anyone..." He sniffled, and looked up at her. "But you saved me... You just gotta get even stronger, hic, so that next time you can save everyone!" he sniffled before wiping his eyes. She choked a bit, and smiled. "Y-you're right. This isn't my end..." After she took some deep breaths to calm down she jumped up onto her feet. "We aren't done. Gimme a snail!" she cried out, running towards the temple.
Well damn, and we've reached a point of the iconic OP timeskip where everyone becomes cooler and stuff. This project has been fun, but to prevent frying my brain on all the pirate shenanigans, this is a good stopping point for the Melody Pirates for now. But I won't be going silent (hopefully), as starting in a week from now, a new project I've been working on as a tribute to our man Akira Toriyama will start getting uploaded daily for a bit. Hope you look forward to Dragonball: CS (doesn't stand for Counter Strike). But don't worry, Harmony and gang's adventures are far from over.
