May 1954
Los Angeles, California

"Well…I did it mom…I did it" Zachary said to his mother Amber just before he took a bite of his juicy burger he got from Dairy queen. Sitting outside the restaurant on a bench next to his mom who was also eating a cheeseburger.
Zachary, a young muscular reptile. For only being twenty-three you could say his muscles make him look a bit older. Back spikes from the back of his head, going down the middle of his back to the tip of his tail. You could say a glance at him would either be telling you he's an intimidating fellow or maybe just another friendly face.

"I'm proud of you honey" Amber said, flicking her tail and pats his back gently. Amber being in her early fifties and unlike her son, not as muscle built as him but still looked pretty and nice to admire. Most of her features were the same as Zachary's, but more of a female version of him. Overall they'd definitely looked like mother and son.
"I'm the first furry actor in the world!" he said proudly. Until now, the movies used costumes or special, practical effects to make anthropomorphic characters come to life. Zachary being the first actor ever to be a legit furry actor, known for being Godzilla in the Movie Godzilla.

"Well I'm glad, you always had a liking for theater, though I didn't know they made pictures that moved" Amber said while looking at him smiling.

"Me Either! But I'm glad I'm part of it!" he said then took a bite of his blizzard. "Though…They do want me to do one thing, or maybe a few things actually" he said, getting a little nervous by how his mom may react to the news.

"And what are those few things?" she asked with a slight brow raise and a bite from her blizzard.

"Well, They want me to change my name," he said softly, but loud enough for his mom to hear him.
She glared at him, taken back by that out of nowhere sentence, taking a minute to say something, "Change your name?" she muttered a bit upset by that.

"Yea like they want me to change my name to Godzilla" he replied.

"So change your name to the character you're playing?" she asked, confused. Not really understanding the point of the change.

"Yea. They said it'd be easier for people to distinguish me since I look like Godzilla, and I will be Godzilla. because I signed a big movie deal. Like a five film movie deal" he explained to her.

"What for?" she replied.

"Well if the first movie goes well I'll do four more movies, if it doesn't do well I'll be let go and free to either move on or renegotiate the deal" he explained to her.

"Oh boy and you really signed it"

"Yep…was it a bad thing?" He asked her not to see anything wrong with trying it out to see how it would go.

"Well if you get bored of the role you'll have to do it anyway" Amber asked, a bit concerned about her son being overwhelmed.

"Oh come on mom, it's not that bad I promise you. I'm sure by the time I get bored the five movies will be completed by then" he assured his worried mother, giving her a comfort hug in response.
Amber sighs hugging back "Just promise me you'll do good" she said rubbing his back where his spiky scales are not located.

Zachary nods slowly "I promise mom…but uh…the name thing is alright yea?"

"It's absolutely stupid…but I'm not in charge of your decisions anymore. You're a big boy and unless you do something really stupid. I'm not gonna do a thing. Though your father is definitely gonna yap about that" Amber said as she moved away from the hug.

"Yep that's dad" Zachary chuckles, Amber joining in the joke with a giggle of her own.

With a nice little conversation between the two during lunch, they would finish lunch and then head back to the car. The car being a light blue 1952 Buick Roadmaster Riviera hardtop. Nothing too fancy for the time being. Just something an average person would drive at the current time.
Amber and Zachary got into the car and buckled up, though Zachary was the only one to buckle up and Amber chose not to, since it was more or less optional. With all that being said, they drove home. They listen to the radio at a low volume on the way home.

"How was making the movie?" Amber asked though she should've asked earlier, but the conversation went in a weird turn.

"It was pretty fun! I got to stomp my way through a miniature city made out cardboard and those little army toys…" he told her smiling

"That's good to hear" she said as she listened to Sh-Boom by the Crew Cuts on the radio. A pretty good song she liked to listen to.

"Though they made me strip down into a speedo to do it" he told her as he looked at her. What he saw was her smile go straight and she looked over at him for a quick second with a bit of surprise and shock.

"Well…why exactly is that needed?" she asked, turning her head back to the road with a look of concern.

"They needed me to look like a giant monster, so I needed my clothes off, the speedo covered my uh. You know but it blended in with my body so it actually didn't look like it was there" he said smiling. The black and white movie would in fact make the speedo blend in.

"Well I suppose if it helps the realism and doesn't show my son's...genitals! Then I guess it's fine" she said a bit sternly. Not all on board with her son being naked on camera.

"Why don't we go see the movie in theaters this weekend? Me…you and dad?" he asked, thinking it'd be nice to show his parents his acting and how it isn't as bad as she thinks it is.

She sighs softly "Alright. I'll see the film with you. It probably is amazing cause you're my amazing and talented young man" she said smiling over at him.

"Moooom come on, stooooop" he said feeling embarrassed even if it's just him and his mom in the car.

"Can't a momma still treat her like her little boy even though he's my big boy now?" she snickers thinking it is funny to tease him.
His face flushed a bit and looked out the window and muttered. It would be a few minutes later when they would pull up to the nice one floor home, no second floor, no basement, and no garage. Though the home did come with a nice decent size pool in the backyard, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. They were lucky to get a decent sized home. Both Amber and Jason were able to get to jobs pretty quickly that would help afford a nice home and two cars.

Unlike Amber and Godzilla who basically look the same but opposite genders from one another. Jason is a tough muscular male, also in his early fifties, his muscles slowly fading due to age making it harder to maintain them. Jason being a dark green Crocodile slightly taller than Amber by a few inches of height, his build was definitely screamed "Don't mess with me" and that was how people saw him when he's out in town.

Zachary walks into the house with Amber "Dad! We're home!" he said and out he came from the kitchen as he was making himself something since he didn't go to lunch with amber and Zachary.

"Welcome back, how was the food?" he asked walking up to him smiling, which was an intimidating smile but to Zachary it was just his dad being his dad.

"Very good, me and mom talked a bit about my job and how we should go see my movie this weekend" he told him.

"I bet you were the big strong monster the movie advertised you to be" he replied patting Zachary's back.

"Yep Sure am! They said I'm gonna be a king!" he said and posed in a proud puffed up chest and fist on hips stance. It definitely got Jason laughing.

"You are quite the theater kid aren't you" he chuckles and crosses his arms looking at him.

"Well I have done a lot of plays since I was eight years old!" he reminded him though he knows good and well that is the case.

"Yep I know, just the best performances all around, so I trust you did good in your film" Jason said and went back to the kitchen to finish his lunch.
Zachary smiles and nods and goes to his room to chill and relax, as he was off for a few weeks and would just relax for the time being, wanting to enjoy it before he would go back into work and see if he's getting a second movie or will have to find another place to work. Which will also be the deciding factor if he would change his name to Godzilla, or keep his name Zachary.
