Disclaimer I do not own Fairy Tail. Why would I be writing fanfiction if I owned something like that?

(3rd Person Battle POV)

For most people, taking on three different talented mages would have been a challenge to overcome.

For Erza it was sadly too easy.

Not to say that Sho, Wally, and Millianna were completely losing. The three were good mages and had years of practice in working together and this was very much shown as they faced Erza. None of them missed a beat as they attacked together or covered each other. For most people, these three would have been a true challenge to beat.

Erza wasn't most people.

Despite the spells and attacks come the way she dealt with everything gracefully and easily as she weaved through whatever they threw at her and for what she couldn't dodge her armor more than protect her. For all the talent that her three old friends had she had in spades on top of the battle experience that they simply didn't have.

At this point, the Fairy Queen could simply start taking them down one by one without too much effort. The problem was that she didn't want to. These were her friends, her old family. Even if it had been years since she had seen them she still remembered the times she spent with them. They were painful and horrible times sure but her old family always shined a light on her dark and enslaved world.

She could have faced most of the people her siblings had been fighting with relative ease. Even a certain pink-haired swordswoman she could beat given the time and effort. But the three people in front of her? The mere thought of physically hurting them mentally hurt her. What attacks she had thrown out were half-heart to the point that whoever they were aimed for had no problem evading. She didn't want to fight them, she wanted to talk to them.

Unfortunately for as good as she was at dodging their attacks, they were just as good at dodging her words. "Millianna! I jus-"

"Poly Shot"

Before Erza could even really begin to talk to the catgirl that was attempting and failing to hit her Wally decided to cut in. With an annoyed grit of her teeth, the Requip mage jumped back to avoid the magic bullet made up of a bunch of polygons. After the dodge, Erza turned to Wally and attempted to talk again only for the Polygon man to shoot more Poly Shots and shut her up.

After moving out of the way of the first few shots the red-head pulled a shortsword from her hammerspace and threw the blade towards Wally. The sword moved quickly but not as quickly as a sword thrown by the S-class mage should move and as a result, the Mafia wannabe was able to roll out of the way of the weapon. Erza gritted her teeth in frustration as she once more opened her mouth to speak.

"F.I.R.E."

Before the Fairy Tail mage could even get out a single word Sho attacked from behind. The tanned man had pulled out four cards, each with the four letters that spelled out the word fire, and threw them. The second they left his hand the cards burst into flames as they swiftly shot towards Erza.

The Requip mage clenched her hands in not only annoyance but anger at this point as she flushed magic throughout her entire body before pulling out a set of armor from her hammerspace.

"Flame Empress Armor"

For the first time in the entire fight, the Requip mage finally requiped some new armor and took the Card magic spell head-on. Without the new armor set, the flaming cards might have done some damage but now they did next to nothing as Erza turned with a snarl and with her standard longsword sent a slashing arc of flames towards Sho. Due to the Card mage's surprise and lack of experienced reflexes, he did little but gasp as the flames hit him.

The second that her attack hit its mark all of Erza's anger and frustration vanished as she stared in horror. In truth Sho hadn't been hurt that bad, he had been able to keep standing after the attack hit him and even prevented himself from screaming but there was now a burn on his left arm from where he had brought it up to try and defend.

None of that mattered though to Erza whose thoughts were consumed by the fact that she had just hurt one of her old friends. "SHO! I'm sorry! Please just stop fighting-"

Just like before the Requip mage was unable to finish her words as Millianna took the opportunity to jump in once more and try to claw Erza's face off. The cat girl's nails had been filed down to very sharp points and she was trying her best to leave a mark or two on her opponent's face. Sadly for the cat-obsessed women, the Fairy Queen was more than capable of dodging the first of the strikes and then went flying up into the air to avoid any more clawed strikes.

Sadly for Erza, Millianna had more cat-themed attacks.

"Nekosoku Tube"

Millianna held out her right hand as a magic circle appeared. From said magic circle several cattail-like tubes shot out and raced towards Erza. The spell surprised the Requip mage enough that she failed to dodge the tubes and soon found herself bound by them as they started to pull her back to the ground. But not much progress was made as even if the tubes lightly suppressed the magic of whoever they bound the red-head was more than powerful enough to resist the effect and the pulling of the tubes themselves.

As the cat-obsessed women struggled to pull the Fairy Queen down another fighter used the opportunity to set up for an attack. So when Erza finally broke free of the Binding magic she noticed several blue cubes all around her.

Upon hearing a chuckle behind her Erza turned around to find a floating Wally with most of his lower half gone. Before she could comment the blocky gangsta snapped his fingers and every single one of the cubes that had been his lower body shifted and changed. Each of them becoming a gun much like the one that the Polygon Mage used when he transformed his arm. Has each of the guns' barrels start to glow Wally called out his spell's name.

"Poly Barrage"

Each of the guns began to rapidly fire blasts of magic bullets. Each bullet exploded in a dome of pure magic and pretty soon Erza's entire form. Wally grinned as he poured more magic into the attack believing he was finally making headway with damaging the Fairy Queen. By the time he finally stopped the attack he had a big grin on his face as he got ready to watch Erza's prone figure fall. When the smoke created from the attack started to thin his grin quickly dropped as he took in the sight before him.

Where Erza had been before was now a ball made of a shield, each one pointing outwards and creating a crude shape of a sphere. The shields stood for a few more seconds before all of them were dismissed in a flash of light and revealed the women they were defending.

Erza was still flying right where she had been before looking fine for the most part. It was clear that at least the first few shots made contact as there was some damage to her body and armor but it was mostly light bruises and dents.

The Fairy Queen turned to Wally and for a second thought about once more trying to talk to him before remembering just how well that had worked before and let out a sad sigh. The double edge long sword she was wielding flashed out of existence before it was replaced with a dulled katana that she used during training. With a sad but strong look on her face, Erza charged forward towards her old friend.

Wally started to panic and scattered his body into a bunch of cubes as Erza swung at him. Upon seeing this the redhead paused as she took in all the fast-moving blocks. Each one was moving at a swift speed but also in very predictable patterns. It didn't take long for the Fairy Tail mage to spot her opponent's flying head and quickly hit it downward with her blunted blade.

The Polygon mage's head hit the floor with a crash as the rest of the cubes that made up his body paused before they started to fly back toward the head. Within seconds Wally's body was once more whole as he got back up to his feet with a grunt of pain. But before he could even assess the situation Erza was once more at his side with her sword raised. The block mafioso was too slow to react as the blade descended upon him.

"W.A.L.L."

Just as Erza's katana was about to hit its target four letter cards showed up between the two fighters before quickly expanding to be more than ten times their size. The blunted blade smashed into the new wall and caused several cracks to appear all over it. The Fairy Queen didn't spend long looking at the wall before raising her sword once more and with more force this time attacked.

The wall of cards shattered and crumbled before the swordswomen to reveal that Wally was gone. That said it didn't take much looking to find the Polygon Mage beside a burned but still up Sho along with Millianna. Once Erza's attention was on them Sho pulled out a single card and spoke.

"Wally! Millianna! I need you guys to restrain her as much as possible. I was hoping to deal more damage to her but at this rate, it won't be long before one of us falls." As soon as his Sho was done talking both of his friends were on the move.

Erza gritted her teeth at the actions as she made one last attempt to talk reason into her old family only for her to stop when Millianna made a beeline for her. The cat-obsessed women wasted no time in trying to once more claw up the redhead's face. Only this time Erza wasn't going to simply dodge.

The very first attempted strike by Millianna was met with a parry from Erza's blade, much to the former's pain. When the Binding mage took a step back to cradle her hand the Fairy Queen tackled her and sent the girl tumbling to the ground. Millianna recovered just in time to find her old friend standing above her with her blade ready to knock the girl unconscious.

"Poly Binding"

Dozens upon dozens of small cubes came upon Erza before she could finish her attack. The cubes start to interlock with each other and become one with the Fairy Queen in the middle of all of them. Within seconds Erza found herself in a makeshift prison made of cubes.

Upon struggling a little the redhead found that the prison was more sturdy than she thought and started to try in earnest to escape. Wally put his all into holding the blocks that were his body into place as Erza thrashed about to get free. Just as the Fairy Tail Mage was making headway someone decided to intervene.

"Nekosoku Binding"

Erza had been too distracted with her struggling to notice that Millianna had gotten up and been preparing a spell. With a raised hand a golden magic circle sprouted from the catgirl's palm as several glowing chains erupted from the circle. Within a second Ezra found herself not only bound by cubes but by chains as well. The fact that the glowing chains were trying their best to suppress the Requip mage's magic made matters worse.

But the cherry on top of all of this was the magically charged card that Sho held in his hand that he was preparing to throw.

"Card Capture"

The second that the card left Sho's hand it rockets towards the struggling Erza who could only turn her head in surprise as the card slammed into her chest. Once the magic card impacted its target a powerful and bright glow erupted from it as the magic grabbed onto the redhead and tried to drag her into it.

Erza found herself genuinely struggling to keep her body from being pulled into the card. The magic within the Capture Card was powerful and had been built up for more than a month. Add on the fact that she was bound by two different other magics and she found herself slowly losing the battle.

But Erza wasn't an S-class mage parody for nothing. As she slowly lost the battle against the card she started to calm her mind as she focused on her magic. In terms of reserves, the Fairy Queen was second only to her oldest brother when it came to the amount of magic she had. Even Makarov had slightly less than the Requip mage.

The Fairy Queen grabbed a large amount of her magic and forced it towards the surface as she slammed it into the magic that was attempting to capture her. Sho, Wally, and Millianna's eyes widened as the room started to shake from the clash of magic. It didn't take long before horror found its place in their eyes too as the Capture Card started to crack.

The magic within the Capture Card was being overwhelmed by the magic that Ezra was throwing at it. The card just simply couldn't take the stress and started to shatter. When the card finally broke it exploded into a small ball of light before disappearing.

Everyone in the room stood silent as they took in what had just happened. Sho could only stare in awe and fear at his failure to capture his old friend. Wally and Millianna were stunned as well but quickly realized that Ezra was still within their binding and started to double their efforts to hold her.

And Erza?

Erza let out another sad and tired sigh as she appeared unaffected by her old family's attempts to keep her bound. She simply opened her eyes and looked toward Sho before speaking one sentence.

"You asked for this"

"Giant's Armor"

Erza's body was engulfed in bright golden light as she used her Requip magic. The Flame Empress Armor was replaced with something else. Now the Fairy Queen wore a mainly yellow armor decorated with blue lines all over it. The armor usually came with a magical lance as well but the redhead decided to stick with her blunted katana.

She wouldn't need a new weapon.

Wally and Millianna paused at the sight of the new armor before once more putting their effort into binding their opponent. This didn't last as the immense power and strength that the Giant's Armor granted Erza was more than enough to get out of her predicament.

Erza gritted her teeth as her arms pushed against the glowing chains and interlocking cubes. Both Millianna and Wally struggled to keep up the binding but were quickly losing ground. In the end, it was the Polygon mage that gave up first as he was forced to disperse his cubes to prevent his body from being damaged.

With one of her opponents gone Erza was easily able to overcome the magic repressing chains as they quickly cracked and shattered from the pure strength that the redhead was exerting on them. Millianna almost lost her balance as her chains were broken but were able to regain her footing and start trying to get away from her opponent. The keyword here is trying.

With only a second of hesitation, Erza shot forward and promptly rammed her right fist into Millianna's stomach. The catgirl nearly threw up from the strike as she was forced against the nearby wall. In a last-ditch effort, the Binding mage held out her right hand to summon some of her magic to hopefully attack her old friend.

This proved useless as before she could even push magic into her hand; it was grabbed by Erza he promptly pulled on it and brought Millianna into a knee strike. The catgirl was more gagged at the pain before desperately trying to use her left hand's nails to cut the Fairy Queen's face.

Just like the first two times, she tried this it didn't work as Erza simply tilted her head back from the swipe. Before Millianna could even go for another, the redhead used her free hand to grab the Binding mage's head and after a moment of hesitation slammed it against the wall. Already hurt from the first two hits this third one was more than enough to force the catgirl away from the waking world and into unconsciousness.

As Millianna crumpled to the ground Erza found herself truly regretting having to get so violent with the girl she had once considered a little sister. Before the Requip mage could get rid of the regret a scream of rage shouted from the other side of the room.

"Millianna!" Shouted Wally who had just reformed from the mass of cubes that made up his body. The Polygon mage saw red as he glared at Erza while flooding his entire body with the rest of his magic.

"Poly Assault"

Wally's entire body shined brightly as his magic reinforced his shapely form. Once the light dimmed his entire body scattered as dozens upon dozens of cubes shot throughout the room. Erza watched in surprise at this before being forced to dodge one of the cubes that made a sharp turn towards her.

This turned out to simply be the beginning as the rest of the cubes followed the first's example and attacked the Requip mage. Erza found herself constantly dodging the multi-directional assault. The cubes were moving much faster than they had before and the swordswomen found that she had trouble when trying to follow them all, the fact that she was busy dodging didn't help.

After about a minute of this, the Fairy Queen was finally able to get the rhythm of the attacks and started using her katana to strike the nearby cubes. While the Polygon magic had reinforced the cubes Erza's magically enhanced strength allowed her to harm the cubes as the strikes slowly built up damage on Wally's form.

This all ended up forcing the cube to stop their assault as about half of them rebuilt the blocky mafioso's upper body. The second that the body was rebuilt Erza charged forward ready to strike at it. In a desperate gambit, Wally sent the rest of his unformed body to his old friend.

The redhead ended up ignoring the cubes as they slammed into her armor and did a decent amount of damage to it. Despite this Erza was able to continue with her attack as she slammed the blunt sword into Wally's body and sent him skidding along the floor as the rest of the cubes automatically reformed his lower body. The Requip mage rushed across the room hoping to take out the Polygon mage before he could regain his senses only for someone to interrupt her at the last second.

"I.M.P.A.C.T"

Six different cards rushed forward as one toward Erza. Just as the cards were about to hit their target the Requip Mage swiftly turned and slashed the katana into the mass of cards. A small shockwave erupts from the card as they're destroyed causing the swordswomen to flinch before she sets her eyes on her attacker.

Sho stood where he had been before. He had spent most of the recent fighting just staring at his old family member. He was quickly realizing just how much of a gap there was between him and her. But despite this when he saw Wally give it his all he finally snapped out of it and was able to prevent Erza from finishing off his friend.

In the end, it didn't matter.

With a sad look on her face, Erza swiftly summoned a mace from her hammerspace and threw it at Sho. The Card mage's eyes widened as he tried to dodge the incoming weapon but he was far too slow. It slammed into his chest and sent him into a nearby wall before being obscured by dusk from the impact's explosion. The Fairy Queen spent a few seconds staring at the sight before turning back to Wally and came face to face with the end of a blocky rifle.

"Poly Shot"

Before Erza could react, the end of the rifle shined as it shot a magic bullet right into her face. Wally grinned at the success of the attack until he saw the results. The point black shot had done some good damage as the redhead was now bleeding a bit from her mouth and parts of her face looked burned but what made the Polygon mage's heart plummet was the look of pure determination on his opponent's face despite having been blasted in the face.

It was at that moment that Wally realized just how outclassed he was.

It was in the next moment that an armored fist slammed into his face.

Wally's body crashed into the ground leaving a little crater as he lost consciousness. Erza was surprised when in the next moment his body flashed for a second before disappearing. Where Wally's blocky body was before now laid a normal-looking human. The magic that had edited the Polygon mage's body ended when he was knocked out. He still wore the mafia outfit and hat but his face looked more like a grown-up version of the boy that Erza once knew.

While Erza examined her fallen foe a voice spoke behind her. "We really didn't have a chance did we?"

Upon turning around she found a mildly injured Sho staring blanking at her. Before she could speak up he spoke once more. "Dammit….DAMMIT! We trained for years! All for this day and it wasn't enough! How are you so strong Erza! How did you get that power! How..how could you just leave us..."

The last part of his words was whispered as tears started falling from his eyes while he looked down at the ground. Sho waited for the arrogant reply from his old friend but when it didn't come he looked back up at her and was genuinely surprised when he saw her face.

Just like him, Erza was crying tears as she stared at the man she once considered a brother. She clenched her teeth and fists as she recalled the day she was forced to leave before speaking to Sho. "You...you idiot. Do you think I wanted to leave you all! After everything we'd been through I wanted all of us to leave that damned island and live a free life! Do you really think I would just willingly leave you all!?"

Sho found himself stunned by her words. Over the years anger had built up in his mind whenever he thought of his old friend. It just became a fact to him that she left him and the rest. Sure he had his doubts at the beginning but he truly convinced himself that Erza had left them just like Jellal had said. "But….but Jellal said-"

He wasn't able to finish his words when Erza shouted at him once more. "Who do you think forced me to leave! Something happened to him before we rescued him! I don't know what but he was...different. He spoke to me about staying on the island and getting true freedom by completing the tower. I...said no. I just….just wanted to leave with my family."

Silence filled the room as Erza finished her words and Sho took them in. The tanned blond didn't even know what to say or ask as he thought of his old friend's words. Before he could formulate a sentence Erza whispered out more words. "He said he would kill you. You, Simon, Wally, and Millianna. He threw me away and said that he would kill you all if I came back or even talked about the island. I...I didn't want you all to die. You all were always in the back of my mind but every time I thought of trying something all I could think about was the cold look in Jellal's eyes. He...he was really going to kill you guys if I disobeyed him."

Sho was stunned by Erza's quiet words. He wasn't to shout back at her and say she was wrong but he couldn't. The emotion in her voice...you couldn't fake that. In fact, the more he thought about it the more he found himself agreeing with her.

Jellal was different after that day. He just thought it was because of Erza betraying them but the more he thought he gave the matter the more he saw how cold Jella was now. Over the years he and the other just simply gotten used to it but now he was coming face to face with the truth.

A hollow feeling grew in his stomach as he looked at his older sister. It was easy to believe that someone had done something wrong when you couldn't personally speak to them. And now after all these years as he looked at Erza's heartbroken face it felt like a veil was lifted from his mind as he saw things for what they were.

And all he could feel now was sadness.

Sho found he simply couldn't put into words what he was feeling. He couldn't find the right things to say to the sister he had hated for years because of a lie. In the end, all he found he could do was simply walk forward to Erza. The Requip mage tensed up as he got closer but decided not to react as he stopped right in front of her. And as Sho looked upon the tear-stricken face of his friend he simply did what came naturally and hugged her.

Erza jumped a little in surprise at the contact but after a second realized what was happening. A small smile found its way onto her face as she returned the hug. After a few seconds, Sho spoke, "We really should have just let you speak. God, we were idiots. For both not even letting you defend yourself and for thinking that a bunch of weak mages like us could beat you."

Erza let out a weak chuckle at his words but said nothing as she simply enjoyed that hug.

The two were like that for about another minute before the rushing of feet was heard and the two let go of each other and turned to the door. With a slam, it was kicked open as both Cana and Simon rushed in. "Erza! There-"

That was as far as she got before one of the walls exploded into dust and stone. Natsu rushed in about to shout before pausing at seeing his Erza and Cana together. Following right behind him was Gray and Lucy who had met up with the Dragon Slayer while searching for the Fairy Queen.

Before they could speak up another voice sounded out from nowhere. "And now we're all back together."

Everyone turned to see the air shimmer a bit beside the door that Cana and Simon had entered before Bishop seemed to fade into existence. Erza looked on in surprise before sputtering out some words. "B-Bishop! When did you get here?!"

Paused at her words before blushing a bit as he turned his head to the side and scratched his hair. "I came in around the end of your guys' talk. I wanted to say something but I didn't want to ruin your two's little moment."

Sho and Erza blushed a little at Bishop's words while everyone else just looked confused. It was Cana who eventually voiced their confusion. "Ok, what's going on right now?"

Erza looked towards her older sister and smiled before she spoke. "I was able to tell Sho the truth. Everything is fine now."

Jellal disagreed.

AN: Good lord was this chapter a hard one to write. Had to delay it a week just to get it right. The main two problems I had were the fight itself because of the power difference between Erza and whos she fighting along with the talking at the end. In the end, I feel like I did a good enough job with it though. Anyway, for those who are curious, this arc has two more chapters before it's over.

Volfwildman still couldn't actually Beta this chapter as his laptop is no longer working and he needed a new one. This weekly shout-out goes to RavenCraver for his review. Heright gave some good suggestions that I'll see about implement done the line. Thanks man.

Going to leave another recommendation for this chapter. This time I'm recommending 'A Waterbending Quirk'. Basically an Avatar and MHA crossover where Katara ends up in the world of heroes and villains and as to make a new life there. The writing is rather good and I feel like it should have more followers than it has now so go check it out.

Have a great day.
