Year 720: The Earth
The day's peace is broken once more; the animals flee or take refuge, as a fierce battle is developing, causing an enormous rumble.

-Look at his fighting style—he pointed with his index finger at the fight that was going on, where a child figure was viciously attacking another figure that was attempting to defend itself with little success—he is cruel, merciless, and seems to try to torture his opponent rather than defeat him; he is, in a sense, sadistic. -Even though he could become the champion of the earth and defend it, there is something that does not fit with him.
-I understand your concern, Krillin, but you should not worry; I'm confident that the turtle school's teachings will soften him and make him a brave fighter with a kind heart.
said a calm Master Roshi.
-I'll trust you, master, but I feel he's like—Krillin stopped; the figure that was previously trying to defend himself was now on the ground being beaten by the other—a monster.
The Present
Krillin?! In front of us stands an elderly Krillin; his height is the same as in the original story, although he is a little hunched over, probably due to age. He wore a yellow gi that was adorned with orange shoulder pads and black bands around the neck, similar to the one he wore at the start of Dragon Ball. It's not the color combination I would choose, but it suits him well. He also wore orange pants, sandals, and Roshi's shell hanging on his back.
His forehead was wrinkled; he still had no nose, however that works, and he had a long gray beard that reached his chest.
If the game has brought me here, i guess Krillin will be acting as some sort of tutorial, so it would be reasonable to try to be his friend—or, more accurately, his student—just like i did with Hercule. And for that I have a plan
First I must try to gain his trust, and in order to do so I will clearly express my intentions, which are for him to train me to complete the tutorial.
I then have to try to prove that I am, how to put it, innocent. to show that I don't want to take advantage or that I have bad intentions.
Finally: enjoy the training and become the strongest.
—You've arrived so soon, Hercule; I could swear that I had sent you quite far away.
His voice is serene and calm, as well as quite low, as if it were difficult for him to speak.
—Well, it's just that when I was heading there, I had to make an emergency stop!
Upon hearing that, Krillin sighs.
—You will die attempting to save someone someday; you constantly try to be the hero.

Hercule says, laughing as he finishes the phrase.
—There's no point in trying to stop you from doing it, so try to be more careful—Krillin answers, shaking his head—And you are?
Krillin's forehead furrows and pupils contract as he looks at me; his eyes grow sterner and even menacing.
-My name is Jei, sir.
My voice shakes as I answer; despite being so old, he is very intimidating; he seems very powerful.
-And why are you with Hercule, boy?
Well, step 1, go ahead!
-He saved me, sir, and his strength impressed me so much that I wish to learn his world champion techniques.
-World champion techniques?
says Krillin, glancing sharply at his student before turning back to face me..

He states, slamming his staff on the ground as he finishes his sentence.
Hercule pats me on the shoulder.
-Jei, this is pointless; i think its better if you go. Do you want me to drop you off somewhere?
Shit, I can't just leave like this; I have to get him to train me.
—No, i cant leave, I want to be the strongest; I want to face powerful opponents and become the strongest in the whole world. I know I can do it, and I know you are capable of training me. I can feel something that makes you different. If you're not going to accept me on good terms, what should I do? I'll do anything to get it!

Hercule says excitedly, then turns back to his bike. Krillin leads me into the house.

I find myself in a small room, a living room. The floor is made of old wood that appears to be on the verge of decay. On the walls, you can see worn paint; some have framed photographs. Most of them show the same people: Krillin, Roshi, and Tien. They look the same as at the beginning of Dragon Ball Z. What happened to Tien and Roshi?

More missions: these seem to be related to the original characters, but it seems that by using the word destiny, may allude to deceased characters, but it will have to be checked; I do not want to take it for granted.
There isn't much else to say about the room;it was decorated in a fairly austere manner, with a table and wooden chairs in the middle and an armchair in a corner.
Krillin sits in one of the four chairs that surround the table.
- Sit down.

-Regardless of whether his words are a lie, his actions weren't; he saved me without even knowing who I was, and i bet you can turn me into someone like him, who is capable of making a decision like risking his life to rescue a stranger.
-I thought you wanted to become the strongest, not protect others.
-I have to be able to protect others if I want to be powerful. One thing affects the other.
Silence again; Krillin doesn't answer.

You see a brief glow flash through Krillin's eyes before quickly fading. Perhaps you remind him of someone?
-You're very insistent, but if you really want to be trained by me, you'll have to pass a test first.
-I don't know what you're planning, but whatever it is, I'm ready!

Krillin uses his index finger to aim at me; a tiny yellow Ki sphere appears on it and spins gently on its axis.
-You can see it on my finger, right?
-Yep,i do
-This on my finger is concentrated Ki; even if you don't understand what this is, you'll soon know more; that is, if you're able to pass the test.
-It's the first time I've seen something like that; it's like magic.
I answer, excited: It's very exciting; it's like seeing a dream come true; I'll be able to learn about Ki like in the series.
-It's something like that, although they are different things; you see, this is not just a sphere; it's a special technique contained, for now, in my finger. It is called "Ukumite Ray" or "Demon's Glow," depending on who you ask. When I stop containing it, a ray will be fired towards you. Although the ray itself shouldn't harm you in any way, it has a unique effect that will cause your heart to grow till it explodes if it finds any evil within you at the moment of hit, even if it's just a tiny drop. The only thing you have to do to pass the test is survive this technique.
The demonic ray is the technique used by Devilman from Uranai Baba's palace. It's a pretty powerful 's useful, although, if I remember correctly, the beam is quite slow. I begin to question whether this is truly worth it and whether I really need Krillin's training. But I remember two things: first, that as real as it may seem, this is a game; it's not real, and I can always start over; and second, that this is the world of Dragon Ball; in the worst case, I would die and go to the other world, and surely with my stats, I could convince whoever to train with Kaio-Sama. The problem would be getting to the planet, but it's better not to plan on the worst option.
—I understand; go ahead then.
—I remind you that your life is at stake, and you are not obliged to do this. If you want to leave and not take this test, you are completely free to say no, but if you do, you must leave through the door that you closed a while ago and not return through this place.

The sphere begins to stretch towards me, forming a yellow line of energy that begins to spin, forming circles, and eventually forming a spiral that advances towards me. The space between us was not very wide; it will take a few seconds to reach me, so I close my eyes; better not to know and let it arrive when it arrives. My heart beats rapidly, and my breathing accelerates; I begin to wonder if I have thought this decision through.
Before I can continue questioning my decision,I feel the ray touch my chest before I can ask myself any questions about my choice. There is a tiny, painless hot spot in my chest that gives me an odd feeling. The sensation and the heat quickly spread throughout my body. I opened my eyes and could see how a whole aura had now engulfed me;Krillin's hand was now resting on the table, and there was no longer any lightning coming out of it. Come on, if you're going to kill me, do it now; don't make me wait.

The aura disappears, and with it, the heat and the strange feeling.

Half an hour later we found ourselves in the "courtyard," if you could call it that, the desert that surrounded the Kame House. Krilin, although perhaps I should call him master, held a hoe in his right hand, and with his left hand he held something that must have been very small, since he wrapped it in a fist.
-There are three main notions in the turtle school:remembert to train, to play, and to rest. Let's start with the first one.

-We'll start by doing some resistance training. Would you please hold this for me?
He handed me the hoe, but it nearly collapsed; my arms were shaking from the weight of it. Am I so weak that I can't even lift something like this?
-Let's see.
Krillin opened his palm, revealing what was a capsule, like the ones they had used thousands of times in the original series, but this one didn't have any kind of Capsule Corp logo or anything branding.
He pressed the activation button and threw it in front of us.
POOF!
A curtain of Smoke rose. When it cleared, a structure was revealed; it resembled a rectangular box of some sort, several meters long, with metal walls and illed with dirt.
-"Whoa!— I said, trying to sound surprised— Was that the magic you mentioned before?
-Not at all, this is science, a gift I was given a long time ago; it's a cultivation environment, the land is not contaminated and is perfectly sowable, but it must be tilled first. I also have a type of fertilizer that makes crops almost not need water to grow or something like that; I'm not very clear on how it works. - He stated, while scratching his beard, trying to remember more details, Your job will be to plow the land to be able to plant crops; however, once will not be enough. I want you to plow the land in the bucket at least a few times." He stopped, looking at my body from top to bottom. 10 times a day. Once you finish a plow, you simply have to press that button, and the land will be redistributed evenly so you can start over.
I remember Goku and Krillin going through this, although very vaguely; I know it was one of the many crazy training sessions Roshi made them go through, but that eventually worked, like a "wax on, wax off," basically. He gave me a brief explanation of how to plow.
-Well, time to plow, young student; have fun; I'll be in the hut dealing with personal matters.
And so, he turns around and walks back to the hut. Well, let's plow;All I need to do is get on top of the dirt and begin digging furrows
One furrow later, I regret having said that. The surface is big enough to make at least five furrows; I just finished the first one, and I can't go on. I feel like my muscles are about to burst, my clothes are soaked with sweat, and the heat doesn't help either. I stop to try to catch my breath. What a bummer. I don't know if I can make it through this training, but I should be able to; if Goku could, if Krillin could, so can I.
The Earth
9:30 p.m.
A tired Hercule arrives at the Kame House, opens the door, enters, and finds his master staring out one of the windows of the main room.
-Good night, master. Thinking?—says Hercule, while leaving a cloth bag containing what appear to be coins on the table—The payment for the month, by the way.
-Thank you, and something like that, you could say, Hercule. — Krillin turns around and goes to the table, taking the bag. It's lighter than usual. Is there a payment missing?
-Yes, it seems that Nams tribe has disappeared without a trace, Hercule answers; His expression is one of worry and sorrow, and he tries to avoid crying by frowning. When I passed by their house, everything was destroyed, burned to the ground; I think the R.R. had something to do with it. We can't go on like this; they already took out Bora's tribe, gravely wounded Yamcha, destroyed Karin's tower, and now they've taken Nam too. Author's Notes: This was the third episode! A fairly relaxed one that introduces a couple of concepts. It took me a while to do it because I've been taking exams at university, but starting with this episode (which I guess will come out on Friday), I'll try to do one episode per week.
